How to float press throttle… foot… off shift nothing to it only time u need to press clutch is start and stop same as down shift but hit the throttle get rpms up and down shift 💪🏿💪🏿💯
Have u ever heard for quick way to tell what gear u need by adding your MPH? Like 15 is 1+5 =6gear 2+5=7gear
3+5=8th gear
4+5=9th gear
Not sure how it works in a 18speed. But really helped me with down shifting for quick response. Your really killing it now tho bro. Keep it up can't wait to see u rolling in your own rig.

This actually works perfect.. I got an 18 speed it works exactly the same.. and I can’t lie another thing that helped me a lot was just taking your time. In the heat of the moment a new driver feels a pressure to get that truck back into gear. Count 3 seconds.. first second takes out of the gear.2nd second you’re floating into neutral. Third second you should be floating into the next gear. Timing is everything. If that doesn’t work for you your driving to fast. And experience teaches so much because you never forget that speed you were going when you coudnt/could get it into gear. Believe it or not when you learn to float the gears it gets so much easier
24yr trucker here that works with top end staying in OD gears but not the low end (Deep reduction) I'll usually up shift between 15-18 rpm down shifting between 12-14. Pulling hills with a heavy load i try not to let it drop below 15 to keep the power up.

Also mount the go pro to the passenger window and get it set up to view you and the gear shifter or just get a mount above the passenger seat or something. You can control the recording through the app

Yeah, I did. It's great work and good pay. I was out for 3 months at a time and home a week with Stevens. I don't wanna give up the OTR life just yet, so I'm out a week and home every weekend with Freeport.
