Heavy Semi Container Rollover in Rain

- Heavy Semi Container Rollover in Rain. Back again in this episode with our now famous container rollover recoveries. I'm not sure of any company out there that does as many container rollovers as us, but at this point we have it down to a science. In this edition I'm joined by super Dave and Hector, aka "YA I KNOW".
These jobs are just way too fast to be any longer, even when I try to make them longer by overlaying Dave's footage, it's still not even close to one hour! And this includes a couple minor setbacks with the container locks. From start to finish, these jobs are just too quick which is great for CHP, the customer and traffic.
What did you guys think of this routine rollover with a couple small lock setbacks? Don't forget to head to www.pepestowla.com/shop after the video and grab your cool Pepe's swag and 2024 calendar to represent your favorite tow company!
By the way, I now have MEMBERSHIPS enabled! Absolutely nothing will change if you don't sign up, it just gives cool little perks to those that do depending on level. Such as custom Hulk emojis and badges for the basic level, all the way up to 50% discounts and free calendars and direct messaging with me on the higher levels.
►All footage was shot with my DJI Pocket 3 and Dave's GoPro 7. I also edit my own footage using DaVinci Resolve Studio.

Great to see Dave's point of view. Josh, thank Dave for all of us Pepe's Towing fans. If he agrees to film his recoveries as you and Alex do, I imagine you could post nearly DAILY 😀
Honestly, I could do that now between Alex and myself. It's just SO HARD since I do 100% of the editing, titles, descriptions, uploading, etc. All of it start to finish. I have to price invoices, emails accounts, pay bills, all the stuff that involves running this place PLUS RUclips lol. I tried 3x a week for a while and it burned me out lol
Josh. My friend does videography and edits all his work. Might do 4 hours of filming and 2 days to edit. I truly thank you for your work. Stay safe.
@@PepesTowingService WOW! That is definitely a work-load, thank you for the videos.
First of all nice U guys still working ur asses off, and its nice to see Dave, haven't seen him in a minute..... Anyways I wuz wondering I totally forgot what the name of those things that come out of the sides of ur trucks for balance, don't U need both sides extended, becuz U guys only had one side extended......
❤00❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤111@@PepesTowingService
Dave's truck is a sweet looking ride.
Drivers taking containers around corners to fast must have paid for HULK!!
They say, "You talk to yourself because you have to talk to a decient person once in a while." Thanks for the video.
Super Dav has a really nice Truck
It won an award for it too at the Vegas tow show
"Dave vision". I *LOVE* it!!! So many times we don't get to see what he is doing. Or, hear his "colorful" commentary. HaHa. Thanks Dave for playing along, I love watching you work! Another job well done!! I have to wonder, where did all the dirt and grass come from?? Dude rolled it in the middle of the road. My theory about why people drive bad in the rain, "Brain matter dissolves in rainwater". Be safe (and dry) out there!!
Lost out on SOO much good content by Dave not recording. Real cool for him to start now, better late than never!
Tell Dave that he's not talking to himself, he's talking to us! I hope he continues recording. Everyone has a unique "spin" on the situation!
Dave, it’s ok to talk to yourself. It’s ok to answer yourself as long as you aren’t confused by the answer 😜
Agree. Idk how Josh managed to get such a following running this channel solo for years while posting absolutely nothing and just talking rubbish. Someone should fire that guy@@hitzmanji1978
@@PepesTowingService 😅🤣😂
Josh, I like the map of the accident location you added at the beginning of the video (0:21). Keep up the good work.
Thanks! I included that super last minute
In my experience, the more it rained, the more complicated the tasks became. However, with experience, things became easier. It was unusual to hear Super Dave's voice. I really enjoyed the video! Thanks.
This is the first time I heard you say “IDIOT’ when the truck slowed down. My compliments for never using bad language in your commentary, you speak immaculately 🤙🤙🤙
That was Dave not Josh just thought i would let you know @themusicman-ij7op
I'm impressed by they keep things pleasant and respectful 😊
Pepe could have easily edited that out, but he didn't..... For a reason..
🤦♂️ Dave, cool, calm and collect
Love this guy and he has the best looking truck of the fleet
I was my experience that the more it rained, the more screwed up the tasks become. Experience makes it easy. Unusual to hear the voice of Super Dave. Enjoyed the video a lot! Thanks
The best part is this rain is whack lol, it's barely a steady pour. Imagine these drivers out in a snow storm or a true thunder storm
The rain in SoCal is better than the blizzard in NorCal.
Facts. I'll take this rain any day
Dave, you’re not talking to yourself, we’re listening in on you. If you fart we can hear it, I just thank God we don’t have to smell it. Nice truck Super Dave
😂😂😂😂
You be ok as long as you don't start answering yourself
Awesome job Josh, Dave, and Hector!!!
Pepe's Super Dave Towing channel, welcome back dave clad to see you again.
Great camera work in bad weather! You guys are tough! No drama!
Just glad I didn't ruin my DJI Pocket 3 since it isn't weather proof like the GoPro lol
Josh, I don’t think your followers give a damn if it’s an hour or long we just enjoy the videos no matter how long they are and all we can do is then go to the next video and watch so don’t concern yourself about the length of the video you do fantastic job all you guys your fantastic trucks you have wonderful attitudes you have a great camaraderie that’s why things get done so well
The rain mixes with the oil on the dry highways and becomes slick.
Love watching you, Alex and rest of your crew do your thing. Great channel. Very informative and entertaining.
Thank you!
Josh. I feel privileged to be able to watch your videos. We're not the ones working in the rain , heat, lookie loos and endangering others. Glad Pepe's people enjoy their jobs!!❤❤
Talk to us Super Dave.
Josh and Dave another great job! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks for watching!
sometimes it is the only intlligent conversation we get
I really love your professionalism. You made this job, as well as all the others I have watched, looked so easy. I'm glad to see there are towtruck drivers like you out there. The way you caught the tractor and set it down so easily. Great job for you and your crew. Im now a fan of your channel from now on.
Thanks for watching. Catching is our specialty. I can't stand people who SLAM things over. Everything should be one swift and controlled motion.
Really nice job. Amazing how much stress the king pin can absorb.
In my career, I've only seen them break like 3 times ever
7/8" lines on Dave's truck! Big boy toy.
issa joke lol
Josh adding Daves POV to the channel is so cool and funny, dont get to see him a lot. Sick ass videos, Petes are looking good too
7:36 is peak Dave lol
If enough people say so, maybe he'll read the comments and start recording more!@@eddieherrera9504
Be glad your not in the Pacific Northwest. It's snowing here. Love the videos, drove the LA area for 30years. Don't miss the traffic.
I'll take traffic and occasional rain lol
Dave you got it wrong it isn't Dave Vision, it's Super Dave Vision lol
Super Dave Vision Pro lol
And yes, Dave does have a nice looking truck. I love the flames on the side.. you guys are making me drool with all these trucks I’m a 71-year-old female and since I was young I’ve loved cars like the old cars and I still love cars I like fast cars I like anything that has some speech to it right now I’m driving a Nissan SentraLord Almighty never thought I’d see the day that would happen so when I see these trucks I am in
Another well executed job. Well done on ckecking the container locks.
Thanks!
Dude you are so right about people in California losing their minds when it rains. But believe it or not here in the Midwest they do the same thing. You guys did a great job. Kudos to you all!
Greetings from:aguascalientes méxico.the best videos of towing of the world.
Appreciate it amigo!
I feel like Hector needs his own reality TV show.
Why do you use so many tow trucks seems like overkill to me .
@@carlhedrick7385 the load was 51k the container is controlled by the two rotators and the tractor is being controlled by the wrecker. we dont slam the tractor. we have the iron to safely do this
I don't use any tow trucks.@@carlhedrick7385
How many isn't overkill to you? 2? My rotators stay busy 247. Only an idiot would tow with one when I have an armada of heavy wreckers for that. You say overkill but what's worse. 3 trucks on a loaded rollover, being brought up as ONE unit then immediately towed out? or 2 trucks that take twice as long? Don't worry, I'll wait for you to do the math and I'll be here when you figure it out and come back to apologize. @@carlhedrick7385
Another great job by team Pepe's Towing.
Not an easy choice but I’m pretty sure that Dave’s wrecker is the best-looking in the Pepe’s fleet.
Dave does have a really nice looking truck. It’s beautiful. I love the flames on it not to say that Hulk is gorgeous because it is.
LOVE that red and black Pete, beautiful truck. Thanks guys stay safe out there!!
I could watch this all day. Never boring. Looks like you got soaked.
Your 🚫 not(we're listening)!
Just be safe, super single?
Slow DOWN Driver!👍👋😊
Another awesome performance 🤓🙋♂️👍
Josh, it would be cool to put a gopro on your dad when he’s out on a job lol
SHREDDER CAM we've joked about this here lol
@@PepesTowingService it would be interesting 😂
We don't get to see near enough of Dave and his truck......
And now that he's willing to record, you will!
Good morning Pepe.
buenos dias
Super Dave has a Beautiful truck.
Looking good very nice work as well always 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota
Good evening South Dakota
What a beautiful job Alex, Dave & Hector NZ
this was josh , dave and hector, alex was on another recovery
Alex wasn't even at work yet lol this came in 30min before he got in@@pepestowdispatch2116
So sorry Josh & sorry to Alex
"Twist Locks" are mandatory on all containers in Australia now. They lock in and held in place by a spring loaded lever. To release you have to push and twist, bulletproof.
They only come off due to numpty operators not locking properly.
Nice job in the rain, efficient and professional as usual.
Morning boss reporting for watching from Land of OZ 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hope you enjoyed from OZ!
I handle logistics to an international company that exports lot of containers to US LB area, and as I soon I saw the ctnr number it seemed familiar and I checked if handled😂, I was relieved that it wasn't a ctnr that have our product but feel bad for whoever stuff inside
I can see it now, that Josh will invent a safety latch to secure those containers where the locks fail, at least for security when lifting on the container at the recovery site.
suggestion when disconnecting drive line wrap then caps with some kind of tape ot stretch wrap to keep from falling off later when moving down the road
Good suggestion, i do this on some of them
Awesome to add super dave to the mix. Haven't seen him in a while. Before we know it he will be you and alex's caliber making videos
Anyone Says or Looks At You Funny, Just Tell Them You Talk To Yourself , Because You Want To Talk With Some With INTELLIGENCE 😜
Haha that's a good one!
Great video! 👍 Josh, you just keep on being you, works for a lot of us. Can't make everyone happy FACT!
For reals lol, I'm cool with 95% being happy with me and the other 5 being Karens lmao
Very Nice work AGAIN PePe's !!!! Love the videos !
Geez Josh you post good content and you get attacked because of it. Great job to you and Dave was weird seeing Dave with the GoPro and not Alex lol hope Dave will record more
Right! I have no idea why. People always reach out to me in the industry and Im always willing to help and share my knowledge, yet for whatever reason I get attacked like I'm out here running a pyramid scheme and faking my credentials
@@PepesTowingService one thing I remember you quoting one day was “hand them the remote” let them see if they can do what you do. Just thought I’d let you know that I joined the membership🫶
Nice looking petes my all time favorite trucks allways running hardly any break downs keep on trucking petes now lets watch the show way to go pepes love watching you guys
Ah nasty weather recoveries some times people think everything is sunny and bright.
Especially in SoCal because it mostly is. But nope, we do get rain lol even if it isn't much
Great recovery guys...stay safe and see you on the next one
That yellow plaque on the inside of the controls panel is amazing from whomever thought out to put it there. Easy to know how you should position the arm of the crane
PS: also that crane rating is a scam.
"It can do 50ton in the most useless position."
Nah bro, you should be forced to advertise the usable angles capabilities when you sell cranes, on the side usually....and with small print saying like when is packed on the rear it can do xxx tons, but you won't be using ever like that"
The rating is just by default, it's a base and the max. Agree tho, you'll never say "oh ya that weighs 100,000lbs? let me just back up to it fully retracted to lift" lol.
WELL DONE SORRY ABOUT THE RAIN.
My man Hector is 💯✌️
Josh always has shorts on every video especially on the cold 🤣🤣🤣
Really enjoyed this one! Thanks👍
Mr Josh Awesome teamwork as always. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Thanks as always my friend!
Great stuff again! Question though, is there a reason Dave was single line but Hulk was double with snatch blocks?
Good question and one you need to ask him. It's not my preference lol but Dave does what Dave wants
That rain looks like it is in Seattle if one didn't know better. A good and safe uprighting again...rain makes it a pain though...a cold wet pain.
Sharp looking Pete
Except for a few hickups flawless 👍
Here in Texas we call that sprinkle
I drove the L.A. freeways from the 1980's until 2022, this much I can tell you. "When the sign says 35 it's 35, if the sign says 25 it's 25. I always took it a step further and knocked 5 mph off of any posted speed sign, that's how you play it safe. Don't worry, I would have wanted to meet up with these guys but by having a tow and not a roll-over. Good job guys as always!
Buenas noches, un dia lluvioso, gran trabajo, excelente equipo, josh.❤💪👏🖐️👍🇪🇦
Great video lads keep them coming
Great job guys
Another adventure
Love your work
Another outstanding video. Thanks for doing them
No problem, thanks for watching.
Your last comment about rain and driver not knowing how to drive in the rain is so true. Growing up in SoCal saw a lot of them. Now in Colorado and hard rain here would panic most driver from CA.
Even a sprinkle gets everyone in a panic, I hate it
Good job and video. It’s always good to see Super Dave and “The Mistress” in your videos
Is that your name for his truck I've heard red machine, iron man and a few others but not that one yet lol
Once again-nice recovery--all the while Alex is out playing around w/ big trees.😅😅
Out on a limb lol
@@danpayan9468 Good one!!😊
That video has never ending puns can't help it 😄😭
Very nice job guys
Love your video
Love the channel- I look forward to all of your videos. Keep up the great work
Thanks!
This is the truck that was sideswiped!
Correct, it got fixed right after from Statewide. They brought it back to life
You make it look easy Josh and Dave. Those containers and chassis are a pain in the A**! Nice job all.
Saludos desde Argentina...hace mucho q veo sus videos son muy buenos
che boludo
I enjoy hearing about what and why your doing, please don't stop!
Hello from Central Texas. With all the stuff on TV being politics, we go to your channel to escape. Your adventures are a great escape from all the craziness of 2024. Who knew watching you clean up after dumb people could be so cool. Thanks for all you share. The cover your butt videos are a huge hit, especially big screen. Thanks for your cameras at chest high, not on your head. Saves us from motion sickness. Our best to you & be safe out there. 😊😊
You Should consider getting some safety wire pliers to tie the safety wire up to hold the drive line.😁🛫
I actually have a pair but I must need a bigger pair cause they will not lock on to the bailing wire too thick I suppose 🤷🏻♂️
@@Davedc55 Ok that makes sense, I am not sure what size the Largest pliers accommodate mine I use on 32 thousands size wire.
@@Davedc55 I really appreciate you taking the time to reply!😁🛫
Don’t they have scales on the cranes at the port when unloading these containers? I never knew how much they weighed until I scaled out at gate going out. Then had to go back and fix the weight to get legal
Even on a rainy day, Pepe's shine. Great job guys and stay safe.
Josh, Good to see Dave and Hector again. Say, how many tons is Dave's truck? Such a nice looking truck.
dave's truck is a 40 ton rotator
Dave Vision is awesome! You Alex and Dave do a great job narrating and creating an immersive experience for the viewer. Great job as always guys.
Nice Job! 👍 Just subscribed to your channel 2 days ago.
Thanks for subbing!
LOL!! The same thing happens here in Charlotte, NC when it rains everyone forgets how to drive and takes out the guardrail and there fellow motorists. Hydroplaning all over the road and into the ditch.
I could watch you guys all day
Very professional and more importantly very very safe. Do you have an address we're something can be sent to you
With all these container truck roll-overs it is a wonder the stuff we get from over-seas ever makes it to its final destination. However, I suppose what we see is small drop n the bucket with 100's more container trucks arrive with no issues.
I guessing your company does long haul towing. Nice job.
