Dang, not gonna lie. I miss the road when watching your videos. When I was OTR I'd always try and make the most of it. I'd always try to shutdown behind Targets :) You just gotta ask the manager and they'd always give me the green light. I would Google the best coffee shop in whatever town or city I was doing a reset at and head other there. On Sundays I would try to plan my 30-minute break by a church to take in service. I was always welcomed going to a new church. Especially the one's in small towns. Heard some sermons that changed me. I met a lot of nice people that I stayed in contact with. Made a buddy in Washington at a diner and so whenever I rolled in we'd hit the town. I even met a women I dated for a year when I was on the road. We met at Chilis lol. I was there by myself sitting at the bar top, she walked in and we started chatting. I'd always ask for loads where she was at so I could see her. We ended up breaking up because I got a local gig back home. She lived in another state though. I could never do OTR again but it's awesome to experience when you're young.

I used to be a receiver for years and understand getting you unloaded as quick as I can even before peoples appointment times. Some dock receivers are pricks and make you wait but I know y’all have a life and it feels good to make sure everyone is unloaded safely and quickly so you’re on your way. Hey Nia There is no way your truck should be loosing coolant the way it is , something is wrong . You have mentioned a couple times now how you have to keep adding coolant. That is a closed loop system and pressurized, it should not lose coolant unless it is leaking, externally or internally. Might want to have that checked out. Be safe out there.
I could understand that and that’s logical thinking. But you have had to add way too much so I would say you are definitely losing it somewhere. I would suggest getting it checked out. ;)
If you’re idling all the time you will lose coolant, oil and other stuff faster. The newer trucks not made to idle for extended periods of time. The engine has to keep using that coolant to keep engine temperature down. That being said you have to tighten all the hoses leading to and from coolant reservoir. In newer trucks coolant leaks are more likely coming from hoses not tight enough. Easy 2 minute fix or if you go to shop they will turn it in to 6 hour wait at $200hr

It’s not realistic at all. Maybe if you are self employed and can choose your working hours but if you’re a truck driver for a company you will never have that much free time.
Have to really scratch & claw our way out in this current industry with the increase of Punjabi / Hindu drivers decreasing entire industry standards (making cheap freight cheaper) & washing feets in the restrooms 😅
@@highway_barbie_official I ran part time for schnider for a year recovering there company trucks ( people quit in all kinds of locations or have have some sort of emergency or situation and can't truck drive) for schnider.....man I had so much extra time doing that job and I made it into a weekly adventure out of it with the cool rental mustangs and camaros ( they can GPS the 18 wheeler but your not GPS-ing the rental car!) i got until you got to the trashed truck ( they weren't always trashed on the inside) you had to recover. And bring the 18 wheeler back to the depot Terminal.

You're on your own, day in and day out, burning rubber for 8 to 12 hours a day, just you and the highway stretchin' out as far as the eye can see. And, oh man, the battles you face! Traffic jams that'd make a saint turn red, dealing with customers who sometimes act like you're the bad guy in their favorite soap opera, dispatchers giving you orders like it's a military operation, and don't even get me started on the brotherhood of truckers. It's like a wild, wild west out there, dude. Weeks on the road, away from home, and to your family, you're just a voice on the phone, a name on a map - you start to feel like you're fading away, replaced by the miles you leave behind. But let me tell ya, the only upside, the silver lining in that long-haul cloud, is the incredible folks you meet on the road. They're like your extended family, your comrades in this asphalt jungle. But no matter how many miles you clock, no matter how many diesel engines roar under your command, it's no substitution for a real family, brother. That bond, that love - that's the true power driving you, not just the horsepower under the hood. So, keep on truckin', my friend, but always remember what's waiting for you at the end of the road - a real family, a real home, and the love that makes it all worthwhile, dude!
Looks like you can take care of a truck. Your better than some of the drivers out there. I'm a tech for a company that runs those same Peterbuilt trucks. Might want to check your power steering filter. They like to back off. I've found several of ours loose. Be careful out there.

Wow in my 2 years of OTR I saw 1 truck driver to an inspection, in Missouri…OTR from central California. 2017-2019- I do miss trucking a bit I have to say….you all stay safe out there, at all times

Crazy how many drivers I see that just trust that the trailer height is correct to back up under. Always get out and make sure the trailer is a little lower so that it lifts up when the skid plate hits it before you back under it.

Crazy how many drivers I see that just trust that the trailer height is correct to back up under. Always get out and make sure the trailer is a little lower so that it lifts up when the skid plate hits it before you back under it.
It only takes getting the king pin stuck behind the 5th wheel once to learn that lesson. lol
I can feel when it’s too high and see it also. Jumped a king pin once when I started driving and never again
