Everyone should make a new years resolution to give up flip flops. I saw a driver walking into a shipping/receiving with flip flops when it was single digit temps.
I slip on shoes when at shippers/receivers for safety. But when I got 400+ miles ahead of me and it's just me and my truck, I do confess to usually wearing my flip flops for more comfortable driving. Hopefully that doesn't make me a bonehead trucker😁😉.

Happy new year! I have been professionally driving most of my life.. at age 17 I started with tow trucks.. always had a passion for driving.. One thing I liked about tow trucks when I was young was going to all the accidents makes you think when you’re driving.. therefore by saying this….. I really like your channel I hope to God I never end up on it. Lol. Best advice I can give you is stay alert at all times. Watch your mirrors. Try make a game out of it. I try keep up with each vehicle around myself. Big Trucks Big Blind Spots. Few min's is not worth the chance. You still will make basically the same time. Trick is keep the tires rolling during driving hours.. Not stop each & every Tk. Stop for" A Cheeseburger & Soda Water".
That's right you don't park in front of the cat scale, and if the truck is the truck stop has only one narrow exit Then you're not supposed to park in the exit and block everyone in either. Had an argument with a guy at the flying J in Pasco Washington about that.
I was trying to exit a pilot somewhere in TN with trucks on BOTH SIDES so only room for one and a guy comes in off the road now ive got to back several truck lengths and angle it back into the truck stop all because people block the entry/exit
