At 65 he swam a mile while towing 65 good sized rowboats filled with 6,500 lbs of wood pulp. For his 70th he did 70 boats with 70 people for a mile and a half. When he turned 80 he pulled 80 boats with 80 people a mile and a half. For his 95th b-day he tried to swim 20 miles from LA to Catalina island but didn't make it all the way. Still quite a feat. What people tend to forget is even if they were at the same age, Mike Tyson is a top 5 world champion boxer of the highest league and Paul is an amateur turned semi proi. It´s like going on a racetrack and comparing Patrick Dempsey against Michael Schumacher. There are leagues between them that no age could ever dissolve.
I went with friends in '88 to see a Tyson one round fight on a big screen in Toronto. People were just coming back to their seats with popcorn and the fight was over. They played the round over and over on the big screen. It still makes me chuckle.
Lol exactly you literally 🤣 had to hurry and catch Tyson fight on time, you go wash your hands and come back and it was over, no1 had answer for Mike, no1, he was truly unbeatable in his prime
I'm excited to see the fight if only to stop the discussion. There's 3 things: 1. Mike absolutely can still hit 2. Mike's a psychopath 3. Mike's 58. Jake isn't a factor at all. It's "does psycho Mike come out to play before grandpa Mike is sleepy"
Tyson is inspiring. I'm a hard 59 year old ex soldier that isn't ready to be soft. Mike shows that if you work hard and sharpen the mind and drive the body - age is just a number. I'm for Mike.
I owe a lot to You. Nothing but respect. Thank YOU for your bravery, honor & integrity. Selflessness is beautiful in one sense and unfathomable to those who haven't. God bless. RIP Sgt Scott Reginald Newman, my brother...I love & miss you. SALUTE
If Tyson was born in the times of Ancient Rome and ended up being a Gladiator, he had the intensity and savagery to have been one of the greats who earned their freedom!
the problem with what joe says is if he was an up and coming boxer he would fight guys that are actual boxers, not retired mma fighters and Nba players
Yeah Joe loses so much credibility with those comments I really thought he had a respectable Knowledge of combat sports. Everything he said was Jake is not "really good" Tomy Fury is not really good and that fight was not really good!
Show me a boxer who has a name in his first 12 fights that you can recognize. Most boxers in their first 10 to 15 fights fight a bunch of guys who are working the snack bar when they get done fighting.
George and Mike were actually on record of saying they didn’t want to fight each other. But I agree Tyson in his prime especially with the strategy of Cus D’Amato and Kevin Rooney training him was the most spectacular greatest and dangerous fighter. And the thing is we all know he still has the power and knowledge. People forget Tyson is a student of boxing and has an intricate knowledge of boxing. Also that a power puncher has the power all their life.
Imagine being Jake in this fight, everyone is rooting against you. You're the villian against a super hero that has DESTROYED all villians in his path. Jake is already used to that role but this is on another level.
An old lion is still a lion...I love how Jake said that everybody has their time to be the best version of themselves, and that Tyson's time for that is long gone, and he's right. Thing is, 75 percent of Mike's best version is still enough to wreck 99 percent of the men on the planet. Good luck Jake, you're going to need it.
@@2011hwalker You might be right. And you might not. He might be an old man, but unless you know what training he's doing, you really have no idea where he's at right now. Same as me. But the way he's smashing pads in videos I've watched, he's well above 50 percent.
@@2011hwalker You have no idea what you are talking about, 57 is no where near being an old man. 75-80 is an old man, 57 there is still a lot of speed and power there, I have seen 40 or 50 year olds beat down 30 year olds, Im not talking in the ring, just in general brawls.
Mike Tyson still hits like a sledge hammer. Even Roy Jones said as much. I think once Paul gets hit, you'll see his confidence and game plan go right out the window.
I said this like 4 years ago on another Rogan clip. Tyson is now Old Kratos. He’s learned to channel his rage and doesn’t want to let it out cause hes scared what would happen. Just one more time he’s gotta unleash. It’s all we want.
Even with nearly inhuman genetics, fighting at that advanced age carries far more risk. But I wouldn't worry, because there is no way this fight is not a work, on some level. Probably only two to four people are aware of the deal struck. But I would bet they go the distance, maybe each one gets up from a knockdown, and it ends up a draw or close to it. This is a chance for both camps to fill their pockets.
A wise man once said: "I'm not as good as I once was. But I'm better once than I've ever been." If Tyson can be TYSON for just 60 seconds. The fight is over in 55 seconds.
I knew a boxing coach, small guy in his 50's, he knocked a huge bulk of a man with one punch. Connected so good the mans tooth got stuck deep in coaches knuckle. If you know boxing, if you've got experience, all you need is one shot, one opening.
Mike has said he doesn't like the way he becomes when he fights. Even training, he can't have his family around him, dude turns into an absolute animal.
Its not the fact that jake is a youtuber or whatever, its the fact that his entire boxing "career" has been fighting retired fighters and other athletes. If he was working his way through the ranks fighting active fighters around his age it would be a different story.
No joke! Nobody wants to face the old lion that has nothing to lose either. One thing we know about the old folks is that they don’t give af and they will f you up if they deem it necessary.
If he can measure Paul it'll be a ferocious body shot quickly followed by a vicious uppercut that will be the end for the youtuber. As someone else said: it's not a 27 year old vs a 58 year old, it's a 27 year old vs MIKE F'KIN TYSON.
Tommy Morrison Evander Holyfield Riddick bowe they all had really nice upper cuts I think you're right Mike had the best one. That right hook to the body Followed by that right uppercut to the jaw followed by a left hook is a great combo
He will have power just not the same speed and agility his power won’t have changed that much because he was still actively boxing in the gym however we all know Mike Tyson has taken a lot of drugs so who knows

Fine, Tyson is 58 by then. Not 68, 78, 88, nor 98 btw. What Jake is used to is fighting old washed up fighters.. Mike was USED TO fighting no-hold-back-champions that were way taller than him, and in their prime. No other legend I have ever seen ever moved as fast and aggressively as Mike. Nobody. If spoiled ahh Jake wins, it's either rigged, or I'm out, because then the rules of this world doesn't make any sense anymore. I still can't beat my father in arm-wrestling, and he's 60. I crunch guys above my size, but stand no chance against him. Old-man-strength is absolutely no joke. Giving that power to Tyson? Good luck.
This will be the best 10 second fight I’ve seen in years. 🤣 I remember making popcorn at the beginning of one of Tyson’s fights years ago, and before it was finished the fight was over. Even Orville Redinbocker can’t keep up with Iron Mike. 🤣

Mike Tyson is gonna get knocked out cold by Jake and you're gonna be in tears. Being out of the ring for decades, walking about with a cane, and being on drugs for a shitton of years has made Mike Tyson stray further and further away from his physical prime. I don’t think so. This pissed me off! When he said that we’d all respect Jake Paul if he was a 16 year up and comer…no! He’s not a good fighter! He calls out older fighters who are in weight category below him, hires the best trainers in the world and is still shit.

Kind of like Iron Mike's first 20 fights. lol!

I’m sure you could say that about a lot of 57-year-old former professional athletes.
A wise man once said:
"I'm not as good as I once was. But I'm better once than I've ever been."
If Tyson can be TYSON for just 60 seconds.
Light sparring with Tyson is probably more dangerous for you than fighting JP in an actual fight.
