Absolutely correct about Tyson, in his prime he was the most lethal boxer in history - his uppercuts were practically unstoppable, and unavoidable, and unsurvivable...
An old lion is still a lion...I love how Jake said that everybody has their time to be the best version of themselves, and that Tyson's time for that is long gone, and he's right. That was the same tyson during the last half of Lennox Lewis when he gassed out and just took punches without being able to throw any. But unlike that fight, if jake just started taking advantage of that hed be blacklisted by the public and probably the commission. Not that yheres anything in it for him to do that in the first place. Jake handled that well, he desreves credit for it. Now he needs to challenge the fury kid to a rematch
People out here thinking this is still 88 mike lol, Mike hasn’t been that guy in decades, he was losing to what was essentially journeyman in his mid 30s
Even with nearly inhuman genetics, fighting at that advanced age carries far more risk. But I wouldn't worry, because there is no way this fight is not a work, on some level. Probably only two to four people are aware of the deal struck. But I would bet they go the distance, maybe each one gets up from a knockdown, and it ends up a draw or close to it. This is a chance for both camps to fill their pockets.
I'm excited to see the fight if only to stop the discussion. There's 3 things: 1. Mike absolutely can still hit 2. Mike's a psychopath 3. Mike's 58. Jake isn't a factor at all. It's "does psycho Mike come out to play before grandpa Mike is sleepy"
"Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it." -Mike Tyson This could not be a more iconic quote for the situation!
If he can measure Paul it'll be a ferocious body shot quickly followed by a vicious uppercut that will be the end for the youtuber. As someone else said: it's not a 27 year old vs a 58 year old, it's a 27 year old vs MIKE F'KIN TYSON.
Tommy Morrison Evander Holyfield Riddick bowe they all had really nice upper cuts I think you're right Mike had the best one. That right hook to the body Followed by that right uppercut to the jaw followed by a left hook is a great combo
He will have power just not the same speed and agility his power won’t have changed that much because he was still actively boxing in the gym however we all know Mike Tyson has taken a lot of drugs so who knows
What people tend to forget is even if they were at the same age, Mike Tyson is a top 5 world champion boxer of the highest league and Paul is an amateur turned semi proi. It´s like going on a racetrack and comparing Patrick Dempsey against Michael Schumacher. There are leagues between them that no age could ever dissolve.

I agree. No one could have beat Tyson in his prime. He lacked fear of any kind and could hit as hard as Forman and was twice as fast. Plus he was mean !!
What to watch in this fight? The first time Tyson really connects. And The realization of what I got myself into, look on Paul's face should be priceless
I don’t think so. This pissed me off! When he said that we’d all respect Jake Paul if he was a 16 year up and comer…no! He’s not a good fighter! He calls out older fighters who are in weight category below him, hires the best trainers in the world and is still shit.
Old doesn't mean out. Tyson is still a monster. And look at Jack LaLanne. For his 60th b-day he swam from Alcatraz to San Francisco, handcuffed and shackled, while towing a 1,000lb boat. At 62 he towed 13 aluminum skiffs, filled with 76 children, for a mile with feet bound and hands cuffed above his head. At 65 he swam a mile while towing 65 good sized rowboats filled with 6,500 lbs of wood pulp. For his 70th he did 70 boats with 70 people for a mile and a half. When he turned 80 he pulled 80 boats with 80 people a mile and a half. For his 95th b-day he tried to swim 20 miles from LA to Catalina island but didn't make it all the way. Still quite a feat. Age is only a number. Mike can do it.
Do you really think Mike would throw away his legacy as the best boxer to ever live over a fight vs Jake Paul? C'mon man this ain't rigged get ready to see the execution
The most glaring weakness in Jake Paul is he CONSTANTLY DROPS HIS HANDS and has gotten away with it so far against inferior fighters. As soon as he gets in the ring with even a well past his prime Tyson he’s getting dropped
Jake also put on weight. He's suddenly heavy & was never that fast or nimble to begin with. Guaranteed he's slower now. Jake's best bet is surviving 8 rounds, instead he thinks he stands a chance at KOing Mike if he just does more steroids. Big difference between someone who needed a 55 gallon drum of juice to hit heavyweight, vs someone who doesn't have a choice in being a heavyweight.
People trying to hype up Jake Paul’s boxing wins against old ass MMA fighters are stupid. He fought 1 boxer his age and lost. It’s like a college basketball player doing 1v1’s with Shaq. Shaq is old and slow as hell now. Doesn’t mean that college guy is good, just taking advantage of the slower old guys
Hold up, is it make it/take it and does Shaq get the ball first?? Bcuz he’s backing every college player down to the hoop and yamming on them or shooting a baby hook. He’d 9 times outta 10 beat any college player in the country with the rules set up how I just described
@@frankcastle1216 not the gloves. Tyson may be old but he’s taken harder hits than what Paul will offer. Now Tyson has to try knocking him out with 14oz gloves.

@stephenr85 The thing is, if you're actually trying to be remembered for being great, like Tyson, you do have to go up the ranks to the title. Yeah, it's nice to make money, but it's also nice to have a memorable career. Lasts a lot longer than the money.
@@Mike-es2yg it's a different kind of clout for sure, and I'm not saying the route is irrelevant, but if he fights legends, sets records for payouts, etc, he will be remembered as much or more than taking the conventional path. Truth is, let's say he is a legit fighter but not a true legend like Tyson; this is by far the most savvy way to make his mark. It's also smart of him to not join a real league/circuit, because it keeps this conversation alive. It could be that he won't feel the need to prove himself to "real" peer fighters until someone like Tyson humiliates him enough. McGregor probably would have kept trying to pick fights like this if he'd beaten Mayweather.
Funny enough, I believe there is a more recent interview out there where Tyson says he had so much fear entering the ring. He was bullied as a kid and then used those memories of fear and shame, to then fuel his anger and destroy the other person for making him feel afraid. Kinda genius when you think about it. He gave into the fear in order to unleash the anger.

McGregor probably would have kept trying to pick fights like this if he'd beaten Mayweather.
@@stephenr85 that makes him the opposite of a legit boxer lol
@mikeceebo8611 well he can box better than a lot of these so called “boxers”
Jamie "I was nervous the whole time" 🤣
"I was glad i was closer to the door and hopefully got to you first"
The biggest downfall in any fight is fear. Fear is the ultimate decision
Fear is the mind killah
Mike has never known fear... even in defeat.
Frankie fear is your best friend in a fight. Was told this by a legit boxer in the 80s.
@@williamhensley8698 Mike says he's always fearful/terrified. That's what spurs him to train so hard.
‘Prime’ Jake Paul VS nearly 60 year old Mike Tyson.. Who could’ve seen this coming?
Prime Jake and Prime Tyson... totally different outcome. Jake doesn't look good boxing retired Tyson. Super weird. This doesn't happen ever in boxing history
I think none of us take into account that a 58 year old in 2024 is a lot different to a 58 year old in 1975 or a 58 year old in 1925 and so on. We can stomp a lot longer in this age we live in.
And Mike Tyson has access to some of the most excellent training and recovery and hormone therapies around
Yes the 58 year olds are more athletic but so are the new generation of youth! It works both ways!
@@lamellewilliams7489 no it doesn’t, we are talking about the progression of aging and deterioration of the body from aging, a 27 year old has barely even started the aging process.
Sir you nailed it
A twinkle
I’m with Sebastian, “I see this man eating raw 🥩 and I’m calling the whole thing off.”😂😂😂
Why did you use an emoji and not type the word. Are you a black person? Lol
For the money that is involved, id get in the ring with tyson.
Hospital stays arent that expensive.
Calling it off from miles away. 😅
@@jimboblordofeskimos Yeah, you only live once... but fighting Mike Tyson... you could die sooner than you'd like... I guess your family could enjoy the money though...
@@jimboblordofeskimos yeah, but funeral costs are through the roof 😵
Tyson has been fighting longer than Paul has been alive with 10 more years to spare 😂😂
which is going to be a real problem for Tyson. I'd love for him to win but age is not a joke.
@@schloops8473 There are tons of videos of older experienced boxes in street clothes absolutely owning young strong boxers in the ring. You've obviously never boxed or trained in hand to hand. George Foreman at 45 ran to and through the title against several young professional boxers, not some RUclipsr with some training, and Foreman had let himself get way more out of shape than Tyson. I'm 49 and can tie most people in knots, usually if I want a fair fight I have to have 2-3 opponents and I have no illusions that I would be able to last 30 seconds against Mike in the ring if he is training.
@@liwojenkins I feel like age really starts to take its toll in 60s and 70s. It's like a slow burn from 30-35 to 60, then the descent starts getting steeper.
@@liwojenkins lmao 😂 thanks for the laugh keyboard warrior. I'm willing to bet 1 pre-pubescent kid knocks you out, let alone 2-3.
@@schloops8473 this is just a show, show for money, a legend against a popular dudes brother who has handful of fights, with absolutely nothing at stake
same exact thing as was mcgregor and mayweather, just a money grab
The only thing that isn’t intimidating about Mike Tyson is his voice. The things he says are terrifying, so If his voice was deeper and clearer, my Lord. The goat
Listening to that old JRE with Tyson it's incredible how clearly you can see that Tyson knows how dangerous he is and how he struggles with himself not to be that kind of person all the time.
Yup, heard him in an interview once say he didn’t like that version of Mike Tyson, as it was ugly. I think he was scared of getting into that dark place. Well, that’s who this RUclipsr has awakened.
