    I used a different yarn and it still came out beautifully but I’d like to use the yarn in the picture. You mentioned bernat blanket the large one?? I’m not sure which one you’re referring to. Can you please list it. Thanks I love watching your tutorials btw

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад +1

      Large format is reference to the larger ball that is 300 g. The mini sizes are 150 g.

    Just across this pattern. Did you do multiple rows of DC between the patterned rows?

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 года назад +1

      the pattern is a repeating pattern. The lines of texture is in the vertical direction. The spaces between them is multiples of dc between the textured stitching.

  • @jdwaits4
    @jdwaits4 2 года назад

    Does the yarn have to be chunky? I tried bernat blanket extra and it was too much....couldn't see the back loops.. Would "regular" worst weight work? If so what size hook?

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад +2

      You can use Medium weight if you wish but look to the ball band for a recommended hook size for that particular yarn.

      @@TheCrochetCrowd I found the correct yarn! It's working up BEAUTIFULLY!

      The Crochet Crowd I see the panels now. I did a few more rows last night and some this morning and can see it. Fun pattern. It’s for my niece and her new husband for Christmas. Thanks for the tutorial. You’re who I learned crochet from about ten years ago.

    Hi Mikey, Im keen to make this, but Bernat Home Dec is $26 /ball here in Sydney. Can I sub for an acrylic 12ply? Jilly x

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 года назад +1

      I'm really unsure what 12 ply is. You can sub the yarn and hook for virtually anything as long as they compliment each other.

  • @stephaniecanales1148

    I need help. I keep ending up with one sc left at the end of the 2nd row.

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад +1

      When you start counting to do the chain. the one you start with on the hook isn't counted as the first one. Is that what could be wrong?

  • @jodiekingsley5181

    Love the pattern but went too fast. Dont have a speed control on my phone

    • @janeteddddd
      @janeteddddd 4 года назад +1

      You can slow speed down on your settings

    • @Michelle.05
      @Michelle.05 4 года назад +3

      Touch your screen while the video is playing. Click the 3 dots in the top right corner. Click playback speed and slow it down.

  • @stephaniecanales1148
    @stephaniecanales1148 2 года назад

    Super fast..I need to see where each stitch is going. The multiple isnt comming out right. Yes, I have tried slowing down on the video speed but if you want to be more helpful it would be best to just slow it down for everyone. I see I am not the only one.

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад +1

      I'm sorry about that. I can never get the speed right. For some I am too fast, others I am too slow. I don't know how to find the balance as the complaints come in on both sides of the coin. It's so frustrating.

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 года назад

      I'm sorry. There is a gear that you can slow down any youtube videos. Not just mine.

    • @kellkatz
      @kellkatz 3 года назад

      Click the 3 dots - that allows you to adjust bunch of video settings. Select option 'Playback speed' and choose a slower speed. Yes, the voice will sound different but it's slower. Hope that helps. The written pattern is available from Yarn inspirations and Crochet Crowd sites. Maybe print that out to follow along with and cmpare what he says/describes. Also at Yarninspiration site where the pattern is - sometimes folks will write a review with tips and sometimes there will be questions and answers re: pattern project. Not always though. Good luck with your crocheting!
