The Rainbow Hugs Mosaic Blanket is an Inset Mosaic Design featuring a beautiful elongated diamond pattern. Inset mosaic crochet is a no-tail crochet technique that creates intricate colour work patterns without the hassle of tails to weave in. Designed in the gorgeous Heatherly Worsted pastel shades. This is a beautiful blanket however I think I’d get lost and mess up. But beautiful
My daughter made the sample and she's a beginner! The stitch repeat is only 6 stitches so it's not as hard as you think. 💗

MJ, Do you consider the Heatherly to be a full size 4 medium weight or a bit thinner, between a size 3 and 4? I ask because the Brava Worsted is a bit thinner than a full 4. The blanket is lovely. I want to try this technique.
Yes, I would consider Heatherly to be a bit inbetween 3&4. If you are considering Brava worsted, that would be a perfect substitute!

Love this, but who’d want to hand wash a blanket especially for as mush as you’d need to wash it for a baby?
I've given lots of alternatives on the blog and in the pattern. Personally, I'd wash on delicate and air dry.

I'm confused by the return row chart...
I have no idea what I am doing wrong but I am missing a stitch on row 2. I have counted and counted and counted and have 193 and when I get the end of row 2 I don’t have 3 sc. I only have 2. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
I watched you make the swatch but I didn’t see where you switched the size of your hook and why this pattern requires 2 hook sizes
The boarder needs a smaller hook.
