- Looking for an easy crochet stitch that will make a beautiful blanket? This is my GO-TO stitch. It's one of the easiest stitches you can use that will work up a fast blanket and create a gorgeous textured look. Plus! It's repetitive so once you see the pattern working you don't even have to count anymore!!! Which also makes this a very relaxing project because you can just move and don't even have to think. I use this stitch for many different projects such as scarfs, purses, and, well, almost anything. Like I said, it's my Go-To. I hope you enjoy this stitch also! This stitch really shines when paired with a yarn that has multiple colors and you want the colors of the yarn to steal the show.

after playing with this stitch, my son with sensory issues fell in love with the swatches. Took me a while, but I made him a queen size blanket in this stitch. We spent a fun day shopping for a yarn he liked. I just want to say thank you for this tutorial.
Do you happen to recall how many skeins or cakes it took to make the queen size blanket?
🎉❤
I think it took 10 red heart ombre @@kimwaknitz7594
I don't ever comment but I really need to say thank you. I love crochet and knitting but I can only basically do chains. I cannot read patterns and any other videos I found stress me out and overwhelmed me. I am so thankful I came across this video and I am almost in tears excited that this is a pattern that I can understand and do! Thank you so much!
I have watched many videos and yours is the first one that I have ever had someone cheer me on. 'You've got this' 'I will see you at the end of the row' you area great teacher!
Thank you so much! Sometimes all someone needs is to be believed in. 😊❤️🧶
I took a break crocheting because I lost my daddy in December.. but I’m back and honestly this is what I needed!!! I’m putting all of my love for my daddy into this one.. Thank you for this video! -love a grieving friend from Chicago 🩷
I love the not counting the most!! I lose count and have to frog so many times! I love it!!

My mom and I just started crocheting together, and we’ve been watching your videos and I’ve now started this blanket. Thank you! :)
Hi I Like Squirrels 1234! I love that you and your mom have started crocheting together! That is so heartfelt and just so cool. I hope you like my videos. Let me know if you have any questions. 😊🧡🧶
Thank you so much for these directions. They are better than any written directions I have been trying to follow.
Thank you so much for showing me what you do to secure your ends. I love this stitch and I’m definitely going to use it. ❤️
I just loved your video on how to work this beautiful stitch! Thank you so much for offering this to the public that wants to learn. You are so pretty and explained everything very clearly and with a smile! Can’t wait to see your other videos!
I was looking for just this!! I bought a beautiful yarn so I want the Yarn to be the star of the show!!! Thank you, thank you!!
This is a fabulous beginner project. I literally just taught myself to crochet on this blanket. I love how it turned out. The first few inches went slow bc I was starting from almost no knowledge but the rest flew by! Thank you.
Love the pattern. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful joyful day.
You're a wonderful teacher. You make it so clear! Thanks!!
Thank you for the measurement chart. That will come in real handy.

Love your tutorials! As a newbie to crochet, I just completed my first blanket using this tutorial and it turned out awesome! So easy to follow. I am definitely subscribing to learn more. Thanks!
I agree. So easy to follow!!!!
me too!
This is so amazingg!! I've always found crochet a trouble for me and since we are in quarantine now I was think of doing some crochet. I'll give this ago ! Thanks 💕
Thank you for such a lovely beautiful and beginner friendly pattern.
I love how thorough you are in your illustrations. Making it easy for us to follow your example.
Just a lovely stitch. Just what I was looking for. Thank you for your tutorial and tips! Thank you :)
I made an afghan using this stitch with Lion brand Mandala yarn Made it with the stripes running vertically. I think it turned out very well. I love this stitch.
So glad I watched this love the stitch and the glue went right out and bought a bottle and it works perfect thank you I have been crocheting for 50 years and never knew about the glue I started crocheting when I was 10 😃
That's so awesome! So glad I could teach you a new trick! 😊🧡🧶
Such a gorgeous blanket. Thanks for the glue tip.🧡
I have some similar yarn to yours and can’t wait to try out this pattern. Thanks for your very informative tutorials. Xx 💕💕🎄🎄
I'm using Bernat baby crushed velvet yarn and I'm enjoying making a throw with this stitch. Your really know how to transmit knowledge, you're a great teacher Tiffany. You are also sharing finishing tips, I will definitely apply them too. Thank you so much!
Hi Neyda! I love that you are using the crushed velvet yarn. I bet that is so pretty and so soft! Thank you so much for the compliment. I am so glad that I could be helpful. 😊🧶🧡
Thank you so much for teaching this stitch, which you do so clearly! I absolutely love this stitch, perhaps it’s the woven look of it which seems so fresh & new. I’m doing a soft variegated cotton yarn of Peaches & Crème brand, and it’s so pretty & so relaxing as you said. I especially like how you do the end of each row. You have made it all so simple to follow! Thank you!
I crochet baby blankets for a local hospital. Ever since I discovered you, I only make your patterns! They are all beautiful and work with any yarn I have used. I especially love your Easy Baby Blanket for Absolute Beginners, sleepy baby blanket. I just finished my THIRD blanket using that pattern and couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Glad to learn the front and back post. No need to count is great. Thank you.
I absolutely love this. Having worked with front and back loop crochet, I know exactly how to do this and I can't wait to get started. Looks so soft yet durable. BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thank you.
Except for the fact that she is not doing a front loop double crochet she is doing a front post double crochet.
@@moniquecaton3285 I am so glad others caught that. As you know they are 2 completely different stitches and will be done wrong if a beginner is working on a pattern and uses her terminology which isn't the standard.
Thank you for putting this pattern up! I started doing one of my own and it’s coming out beautifully.
Hi Liza! Oh YAY! I'm so excited for you to make this project! It is one of my favorite patterns. I'm so glad it is coming out beautifully for you. 😊🧡🧶
I LOVE this! TY ❤ - went up from 5mm to 6mm and what a beautiful baby blanket it’s turning into!!!!!
Where have you been all my life of crocheting?
You are so slow and easy to understand 😊
I love the stitch and your blanket is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your time and the information, great tutorial. I have a learning disability, so I learn by re-watching all of my you tube gurus, y'all are so brave doing videos. I love being able to come on and learn at my own pace for free. I'm too OCD to glue 🤣 I totally worry about my work falling apart in the wash, so I leave decent length tails in sew them in nicely. Tails are my personal security blanket, pun intended lol.
Loved this tutorial! I've crochet baby blankets for years..have done alot of front posts and back posts to look like a basket weave. I absolutely love this stitch..how beautiful..especially with that yarn! I have always sew-in my ends with the same results you talked about. Can't wait to use the glue! You couldn't even see it when you are done! Well done!
Thank you so much! I’m excited for you to give the fabric glue a try. Make sure that the fabric glue you use dries clear and flexibly. Some don’t. I put a product link in the notes section. You can either purchase from the link or just look at what it is for a visual reference. Let me know if you use the fabric glue and what you think 😉😊❤️🧶
This is my new favorite stitch! Thanks so much for posting this video.
Love this pattern. Very easy for me to follow. Using thicker yarn and it looks amazing. I can see any mistakes immediately. Thank you. 😊
I HAVEN'T DONE CROCHET IN A LONG TIME - LOCKDOWN... ABSOLUTELY CLEAR WITH NO WAFFLE AND VERY GOOD DEMONSTRATION. GOOD FOR YOU! BLESS YOU.
Hi Kay! Thank you so so much for your comment. I am so glad that my tutorial could be helpful! 😊🧡🧶
I have boxes of yarn that I fell in love with at the store and bought with no idea in mind what I was going to do with it....Just knew I needed to have it! lol
Lovely stitch and your blanket is gorgeous. Thanks for the tip on the fabric glue, all these years and I’ve never heard that.
Great blanket! Can’t wait to make one. Happy I found your channel. Thank you!
Wow, great video, great info. You covered all the big questions with easily accessable information to download or print. Thank you so much.
What a lovely stitch! Thank you for sharing. It makes me so happy to see young women who love yarn and who love making beautiful projects that will be treasured for years!
Fantastic stitch pattern, simple! Thank you for the flexible glue tip ❤
Thank you for the fabric glue tip! I will be getting some today to take care of those ends. Love your channel!
Loved this tutorial, you explain everything so clearly and I appreciate that you go over the same thing plenty of times, thankyou. I recently returned to knitting after many years and I’m looking forward to having a go at crochet. I think this would be a great place to start. Thankyou for sharing😊
Hi Kathryn! I'm so excited for you to make this blanket! I hope you love it! 😊🧶🧡
Lovely pattern thanks for sharing ❣️ thanks also for the chart of all the blanket sizes, very helpful.
I love this pattern... I have just bought a wool that is almost exactly the same colour. I can't wait till I finish my throw. I will definitely post a pic when I'm done. Thank you so much for showing us this beautiful stitch 😊
Love this! So easy, so much fun! Easy to follow. Thank you for sharing!
Some of my best blankets have been made with this same stitch pattern. I love it!
Tiffany, thank you so much for teaching me this stitch. I have a #6 bulky yarn I bought for my daughter and did a sample. You were absolutely right, this stitch looks gorgeous on all yarn types! I also glued my ends as you suggested and have had great luck with that method. Nice and secure! Love your channel and your manner of teaching! Thanks again! 😀
I am so happy that you had such a great experience with this pattern and the fabric glue! Not surprised, this pattern is so pretty. Thank you so much for watching! 😊❤️🧶
I love doing this stitch also it works out fast and easy doesn’t it it’s beautiful thank you for sharing❤️🌷🌷🌷🌷🧶
My favorite stitch and always a hit with whomever I have gifted handmade items.
Oh I love it! I feel the same way! Thanks for sharing May. 😊🧡🧶
I've just finished a scarf for my son with this stitch! Love and will be doing one for my daughter now.
Just need to work out a beanie hat with the stitch too...
Wow Tiffany, your instructions are wonderful. So well explained. Again your camera focus is just perfect, the best ever.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
AWE!!! Thank you so much Deirdre!! 😊🧶🧡
Thank you so much for your help and time 💕 God bless you and your family always ❣️ blanket are really beautiful and cozy 💕 Thank
Yes I do believe that’s the one!! Thank you!!!
Thank you for this! Your instructions were clear and easy enough for a beginner crocheter to get. I now have a new way to make a blanket besides the never ending granny square. 😊🧶
I love it! So excited that I could help you try something new!!
I always wash after I complete a project, (blanket) it’s amazing how much softer a blanket gets in the DRYER. A lot of the weight of yarn is the dye. Of course never do that with wool. Never saw anyone use glue before, it’s not a bad idea. Nice stitch, btw.
Love this video. I’m in the middle of crocheting this pattern of back post/front post at this very moment!
I absolutely love the way you explain how to do this pattern. I’m going to make a blanket now 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️❤️❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽
YAY! So excited! I hope you love this stitch as much as I do. ❤️🧶😊. Let me know if I can help.
Thank you for sharing this pattern, very easy to follow!
I was a little confused at first but got it eventually that patterns really beautiful
Have been trying to master this st. forever! Your video is so clear. Thank you. I am going to watch everything you do from now on.
Carol S. Ortiz Ortiz awesome! I’m so glad I could help! Thank you so much. Let me know if I can help in any way 😊❤️🧶
Yes! SAME!!! I've tried crochet over the years and will make a few things(basic endless sc or dc) and get bored because new stitches are so hard to get being self taught but this video is very clear so I have subscribed and cant wait to learn new stitches from this woman!!!
Hi your blanket is beautiful! I’m gonna work this up and your fabric glue idea is a charm! Thank you ♥️☮️
Thank you for teaching this beautiful pattern. I appreciate your teaching method.
Definitely going to try the glue.
The glue. O-m-g! Game changer. I’m currently making a blanket and using this glue as I go. I’ve been knitting and crocheting for 40 years and just over the top excited and happy with this glue. I use the tip of a toothpick to shove it inside a stitch and it’s hidden and secure. THANK YOU for the best and helpful tip ever! 👍🏻❤️
You are MOST welcome! I am so excited this was helpful for you. And totally! Just the smallest amount. Thank you so much for sharing.😉😊❤️🧶

I’m so new to crochet but I think I can do this. I want to make a nice warm blanket for my son in the army. This one looks cozy and warm! You do a really great job explaining and cheering on!
Hi Cathy! I’m so excited for you to make this blanket! Thank you so much for the compliment! Glad my video was helpful!😊❤️🧶
This was an awesome tutorial! Thanks! I'm using it to make a baby blanket. I'm somewhat new to crochet - and this tutorial was perfect. I am very grateful!
You are so very welcome!! I love this blanket pattern! I hope you do too. ❤️
Thank you very much for sharing your pattern. I love it. You have an amazing day too ❤
I love this pattern . I am going to make a super king size blanket using this pattern . Thank you for this tutorial 😊
Susan Gardner oh wow! Please send me a picture of your super king size blanket when you finish! I would LOVE to see it 😄❤️🧶
I love her encouragement. It's a beautiful project and I will definitely do it.
I'm so excited for you to work on this blanket! It is so much fun and so pretty!
Thank you! I’ve been looking for a pattern to do my Temperature Blanket. I think this is a winner. The stitch is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
I saved this blanket to my playlist cuz I absolutely love this pattern, thank you!
You are most welcome! 😊❤️🧶
I am a newbie to all this crocheting and you tube stuff but what do u mean by “playlist”?
This is the first time me viewing your channel I absolutely love the way you teach step-by-step I am absolutely a beginner please keep up the good work
What a gorgeous project! Love that stitch!!!
I am just picking up crocheting again and I love your channel to help teach me. I never really got good, so with your videos I think I will stick with it this time and get better at patterns. Thank you!
Thank you ! I hadn't crocheted in a very long time. I just finished a little baby blanket using this tutorial. I used yarn that had multiple colors so I never had to switch colors and with this pattern I did not have to count. Great way to get back into it. Also loved the info on joining up the yarn from multiple skeins.. Great explanations.
You are so welcome! I am so happy I could help you get excited about crocheting again. 😊🧡🧶
I’m looking for the part where it talks about joining yarn. Help!
@@jenniferhamilton675 U can find few tips vids like this one to help u joining them ruclips.net/video/s6fd6uLAZIA/видео.html
I'm new at all this - just finish a baby blanket and decided I'd store it away - all because I did crochet my ends "into" the blanket - but they all see to be coming up...so I am now going to try the fabric glue - it might actually save this project! thank you.
Hi Patricia! Oh my gosh this is the perfect situation where the fabric glue really shines. Make sure that when you get your fabric glue it says on the label that it dries Clear and Flexibly. Super important. Not all Fabric Glue does. I have attached product links in the description part of my videos if you want to check out what I use. You don't have to buy from the link but it gives you a visual of what you should be looking for. Good Luck with those ends! Oh I am so excited for you to finish this baby blanket and have it ready for baby! Let me know what you think of the Fabric Glue if you try it. 😊💖
Thank you for this beautiful pattern the directions were very easy 🥰
Love the pattern🥰 I’m so glad I found your site
Great video and you’ve explained everything so well Tiffany! Will definitely give this a go.
Thank you so much! Oh please do give it a try. It is such a great project. 😊💖
My favorite tutorial by far!!!!! Love the way you explain the steps!
Yay! Thank you so much! So glad I could be helpful. 😊🧡🧶
Thank yu for explain it slow
What a great instructor and pattern. I just weave in differently which is tighter.
That is so beautiful! The color & the pattern is awesome! Great job 👍
Thanks for sharing! I’ve crocheted for over 30 years and never thought to use fabric glue. I always use a needle to weave in my ends but you are correct that no matter how good you are those ends WILL pop out eventually. Just because your family/friends don’t tell you doesn’t mean they don’t pop out!
I appreciate this tip and thanks again for sharing!👍🏻
You are most welcome! I'm so happy I could bring up something new for you after 30 years of crocheting. That's really cool! Thank you so much for sharing! 😊💖
I’ve got a crocheted lap granny rug my mum made 80 years ago and it’s been used constantly and not a single end has come out. I think it depends on how you weave them in.
I've crocheted over 40 years and used many different fabric glues. It does works but you need to be careful to make sure to use the smallest amount or it will to dry very hard and be noticeable in touch as well as sight.
@@Soffity Probably, also, what fiber the yarn is, will affect the outcome. I have bamboo yarn that I don't think I would trust to hold it's ends in, for example.
@@ashleyvincent1860 I’ve used bamboo 70% wool 30 % yarns but not 100% bamboo. The ends haven’t come out so far and it’s been 6 years. I hear you can get glue that stays soft when it sets so you don’t have hard lumps but I’ll stick to my crochet in as I go technique as it’s worked for me so far.l fingers crossed.
Hi, just found your site; love it! You really explain stitches so completely, slowly... I'm a lefty and I can follow you easily. Thank you!!!!
I love your blanket patterns! I made the moss stitch one for my nephew I'm making this one for my son. Thanks you so much!
Such an easy way to change up a plain old stitch! Im making a king sized blanket for my hubby and this stitch makes it so plush and soft!!
Tip: Instead of having ends sticking out where you attach a new skein, I use an invisible join. It produces a very small knot with no ends and is virtually undetectable.
Hi Luna! Yes! I completely agree. I made this blanket tutorial before getting introduced to the invisible knot and now yes that is the way I would go. Thank you so much for the tip 😉❤️🧶
My first time here and I did subscribe. I have some beautiful extremely soft yarn that I didn't know what to do with, but I am sure this pattern will work for it. Thank you so much I can't wait to give it a try. It's a very soft pink nylon yarn.
That yarn sounds beautiful! I bet with this pattern your blanket will be stunning. If it’s ok I would love to see a pic of how it turns out 😊❤️🧶
Fabric glue is wonderful thank you for the tip
Love the fabric glue tip. Can't wait to try it. Thank you.
Awesome! Make sure when you give it a try that you use Fabric Glue that dries Clear and Flexibly. Some fabric glue does not. I have added product links in the description section of the video to help. You don't have to purchase the glue from the link but hopefully it gives you a visual of what to look for. 😉. So excited to have you give it a try. Let me know what you think. 😊💖
Love this pattern! Once I got into the rhythm, about row 4 of a dishcloth, it was easy to follow the patten. The hardest part was loosening my normally too tight. tension
You can go up a hook size to help with your tension (bigger) xx
I love how this stitch looks great way to make a blanket for someone who doesn't like holes I there blanket. Lol. Like my brother. Too girly! Lololo.
This go to project is so good. just learning how to crochet you're a great teacher and easy to follow. I have seen this yarn will be getting this one love the blanket. Thanks for the awesome work you do!! Look forward to the next video ❤
What a beautiful stitch!!! Just started a blanket and I love it😊! Thanks for sharing
