This just moved to the top of my ever-growing “To Do” list! I hope i live to be 100 because I have enough of your projects planned to do it will take me that long to get them done! Thanks for sharing this wonderful project with us!
Agree completely. Sad thing is, I'm 71 almost 72, so it's likely I don't have the amount of time most of you have to finish my Tado List from Bag O Day as most of you. But I'll do my best!!!
If you do one blanket this year, make it this one. I used lion brand wool ease, 4 weight with a size 6.5 mm hook. I finished my first grandbaby's blanket in just over 2 weeks and am currently on grandbaby number 2's. I am making them for Valentine's Day. They work up quickly, are modest as far as yarn usage goes, and are very warm. This is also an auto pilot pattern. You can easily binge and work on it. Thank you, Crystal!!
Thank you so much for your channel! The hospital here where I live has requested our senior center for blankets for the NECU babies, no bigger than 30X30. I haven't crocheted for years, but it's like riding a bike, one does not forget. Going thru the list of your saved videos, looking for a pattern that will be a good for TV and go fast, I came across this one. I already had a self stripping baby weight yarn. At 77, wish I knew how to send a photo to you of the finished blanket. I used another pattern, I believe its called stacked shells, I did one a day of that one with a soft chenille. Love your channel and love that you explain so easily
Crystal, ever since you showed me this pattern, I have gone crochet crazy. I have made 22 baby blankets and now I am working on a wheelchair blanket for myself. All the baby blankets are going to my church for new mothers. ♥️♥️♥️ U Girl!
I just finished a baby blanket with this stitch and it is beautiful. I am now starting to crochet blankets for my five adult children for Christmas this year. Thanks Crystal!
Please keep making Yr tutorials and other videos. I've learned sooo much from you. I have u to thank for me being able to crochet many things and discover new types of yarn too. I have parkinsons and fibromyalgia, I use crochet as therapy for my tremors. It works wonders thanks to you. U are a crochet star 😊❤
Crystal I love the way this looks and I love that you do such a good job with your camera and colors. Your instructions are always clear and easy for those of us who are older to see. Thank you very much. Health and happiness to you and your family
I love this stitch. I used to knit and crochet everything you can imagine)!!!! I am now 76 years old and I want to go back and do both projects again and I have found Utube very helpful for relearning how to do both. I happened on your beautiful stitch and I am so excited to use this easy and beautiful stitch:):) I would love to see all of your tutorials if you can tell me how!! My Nancy Dazy, I am so excited!!!
Hi Cindy.. I hope my comments didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion, your comments tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment, i don't normally comment write in the comment section but i think you deserve this complement.. If you don't mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless
As a beginning crocheter, I really appreciate your teaching style. You explain everything and I'm never in doubt as to whether I'm making the width of a blanket or shawl or the length. You make sure we understand hook size and what stitch to begin and end in. You don't know how important those simple things are. I have watched other videos where this was not explained well and I made a huge mess! Thank you so much!
I love rainbow colored yarns too! In fact, I think I have this in chunky and worsted weights...if I remember correctly. I'm very into brighter colors lately. I was always so conservative. Now that I'm a granny my mantra is "Show Me the Glitter and Brights!". Also...Crystal. when I started watching your videos I could knit but not crochet. Now, I'm about to begin my first blanket. And I'll be using this yarn. I love that it's reversible. Blankets that are reversible are my faves! I'll send a pic. You are a wonderful teacher,. Slow enough and repeat enough so i have been able to follow you very well. I thank you so very much.
I've said before that I don't crochet, but I love rainbow jellys. I made a knit wrap for my kid with it and I bought more to make myself a cardigan. I love your videos so much just to see your yarn appreciation.
WOW!!!!! I just started crocheting less than a week ago and I was looking for an EASY way to make a blanket that looked pretty. Thank you soooo very much for this. You are my favorite person to watch. You make crocheting so much easier!!
I love this stitch! I have made scarves and a baby blanket out of this.Good teaching as usual, Crystal! Thank you. You use such colorful yarns for your tutorials. It makes it easy to see the stitches formed.
What a lovely pattern! I’m making it today as a scarf for a birthday present for a dear friend who is quite petite while I’m quite tall. We are the single and double crochet stitches coming together to create a wonderful friendship. Thank you once again for sharing your creativity and clear instructions. 💐❤️💐
Love it, beautiful. I have an eight year old granddaughter who wants to learn to crochet. This will be perfect for her once she learns her stitches. Thank you. Love ya stay safe.
I like this stitch very much! It looks complicated but its not at all. I need to finish my wips before tackling this blanket! Thanks for an easy new stitch and project.
Oh my goodness! I saw the cardigan and loved it so much I thought I could make a blanket with it, so I guessed at the width! I'm halfway through. It is REALLY SIMPLE for me. This is only my third big project ever, you are such a great teacher I figured it out myself this time!!! Thank you Crystal!
I am crocheting a baby blanket. Tried so many different stitches in a week. Finally found one I like. My first grandson is due in May. I am using the Lion Brand Ice Cream Bog Scoop. It's Blueberry color and light weight yarn. I am loving the way it's turning out. Thank you so much Crystal.
Wonderful tutorial. Beautiful results. Thank you so much. My friend's new grandbaby is going to benefit with a lovely snuggly blanket using this stitch.
Hi Crystal. Your voice is so calm and you explain with so much patience. Thank you for this lovely blanket. The stitch is so easy, yet so pretty. I have a few baby cakes waiting for me to make this blanket. Stay well. xo
Yes, you do have hundreds and hundreds of tutorials for EVERYTHING!!! I love it and I have learned so much from watching them. Thank you Crystal. Blessings 🙏🏼
Love the simplicity of the blanket but yet looks complicated, the color you chose worked up beautifully. Already added to my list of blankets to do, I have switched genres, was on hats for six months, then slippers for six months, then sweater jackets for a couple of years, shawls for over a year and now on a blanket kick, for how long don't know, right now I currently have ten blankets going at once I change blankets so I have a different design to do so this way I don't get bored, as if, lol, I really enjoy my craft of crochet and knit and whatever else is in the mix for take along projects. You have provided me with a good majority of these projects, which I great appreciate it and thank you ever so much for. Thank you for sharing all you love with us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thankyou so very much! Finished my first ever blanket. I did it in aqua colour. It is a Christmas gift for my Mum. I made mine 86cm wide 170cm long. I did 5 rows of single crochet for border.
My daughter decided she wanted to make another blanket. She made one for her soon to be nephew but wants one thicker for herself. I introduced her to your channel and explained how to follow along with your tutorials. Thank you so much for teaching another generation of crocheters. ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you dear Crystal. One row repeat does it for me. I am much into baby blankets these days and I tried several of your patterns. You improved my skills tremendously.
Just finished a blanket yesterday using this pattern. Amazing! Big and heavy and snuggly. Thank you so much for making such clear videos. Love that you show us the finished product first. I don't like patterns with a lot of holes so when you show us in the beginning and tug and pull at the blanket, it helps to see how dense the stitches are with the hook and yarn that you've used. It's so helpful. Such a great pattern that I'll use again and again. Grateful for all of your work and your kind guidance! You're amazing!!!
I just love the dress you just showed it's so pretty and I had to really look I thought you were a model keep up the good work love finding your blogs on the internet.
Hi bag o day day crystal I've been crocheting granny square blankets úsing 2 stands of 4 weight yarns as one and it makes my blankets super warm for the winter.ill be giving them to my niece's and nephew for Christmas as part of gifts from auntie Rachel
This stitch is my favorite stitch! It’s so easy but yet it’s beautiful and it makes a nice texture fabric! Love this blanket in the rainbow colors!! Much Love and blessings ❤️
I wanted to make some scarves for Christmas so I searched through all your patterns for something to make out of dark blue scarfie and I'm using this pattern love it I'm crossing my fingers that will come out beautiful
I made this blanket for my brother for his birthday and it turned out so beautiful. This was only my second blanket and your tutorial was lovely, thank you!
TY for the very nice instructions. This is absolutely beautiful. I want to watch it again and write down what your saying. It is so pretty. TY You are so talented Crystal. Your videos are very nice. God Bless You. TY
Just put this tutorial on for my 80 year old Mum as she is learning to crochet! All because she’s been watching me do so many of your tutorials and seen your BOD life channel also while having an extended visit with me. She says thank you and you’re never too old to learn! ❤️🇬🇧
Crystal, you are an amazing woman. The projects you create are always so beautiful. Thank you for your hard work teaching us how to crochet. You are by-far one of my favorite teachers. Thank you!🙏
Thanks Crystal! I am always looking for simple t.v. blankets to crochet. I am using worsted wt yarn and a 5.5m or I sized hook. I chained 130 sts and it turned out 44 inches wide, just perfect for a quick project. Thanks again. Happy Crocheting!!!
This turned out so pretty! I love it. This stitch can be used for so much. I definitely love it as a blanket though. Though your sweater is gorgeous, I have to get my fingers moving faster so I can do all of your January projects, lol I am already falling behind and it's only the 21st! I have been making chemo hats for my friend. That's why I have put off making things for me. Take care, stay healthy Crystal❤❤
Love this blanket, love the easy repeats. The bonfire was my favourite pattern, but this might just be the quick go to one, from now on. Love to you and the family, and as always , A BIG THANK YOU Love Pat in London
I am making this and it is absolutely beautiful. I love the feel of this yarn! And it's HAPPY 😊 😃 😀 colors. I can't stop buying a couple more skiens because I enjoy the yarn and colors so much. It's turning into a monster of a blanket,lol... thankyou so much for teaching this stitch too. I have seen this stitch being done on other channels but with this yarn, it is absolutely beautiful. Did I say, I Love this yarn, these colors and this stitch 😍 💙 ❤️
Wow... for the past few days I've been making scarves to donate to a local "pantry" that helps out low-income families. I was using a stitch pattern for one of your blankets or scarves that you did a long time ago with a similar stitch. It's basically the exact same, but it's a multiple of 3 and it's a single crochet then TWO double crochets, skip 2, rinse and repeat. I'm currently working on the 8th scarf, and I think I'm going to use the stitch pattern you did here for the "little kid" scarves I'll be doing. Thanks!!! This is perfect timing! BTW.... Erik did a fantastic job!
I'm try to learn crochet and I am horrible at it. Started a beanie hat today which turned out like some kind of wavy pizza...my worry worm looked like it had feet...ugh...but this I may be able to actually make. I have tried blankets before but always mess up when trying to try. My edges are all uneven. Thanks for doing this slow and with bigger yarn! 😊
Crystal this very pretty. Sometimes we just need something easier. Love it. Going to make one for all my grandkids with chunky yarn. Checking out the pullover now. Thank you
This was my first real project and I love it! I made it for my theatre teacher, as she is soon expecting, and I CAN'T WAIT to give it to her! Thank you so much for such a pretty, easy to do pattern!
This is so pretty and I will be making it .I have so many projects working in my head . Hopefully it won't be very long before I can give it a try . Crystal I truly enjoy everything about both of your channels and your family and all of your pets .You are such a big hearted person.and you have so many people that love you .You have such a beautiful family and I love each and every one of y'all ❤️🌹😘
This looks like something I could actually do. I turned the playback speed down to 75 and it's so easy to see what you are doing. I would def put the on and slow down playback to get started and confident. I cannot wait to try this.
I was searching for a good fun pattern for a blanket to make my love for our official 5th Christmas together and I saw this, watched and got excited, and instantly began chaining 200, even though its gonna be huge hes gonna love it I think!! Lol! Thank you crystal!
CRYSTAL!!! I am so excited. Just did my little sample to see where I'm at. I have a tight crochet. So I had to go up a hook size so I could see the stitch better. It's so beautiful, simple and therapeutic to crochet. As always thank you. You will always be the "QUEEN OF CROCHET" to me. Be well. 🦋
Crystal i just started a scarf for my friend with this stitch. It works up very easy and quick. Its pretry cold in PA this time of year..lol. Thank you for the turorial.
I am working on a blanket using this stitch, with ombre yarn in color cocoa. Size of the blanket is twin, for a child. Thanks again for the easy to follow tutorials. 🌹
I made a beautiful scarf with metallic size i yarn. 3.75 hook. I accidentally put a single double at the last stitch and it turned out great. Very straight edge.
I love this. I am making my kids blankets and been going through all your videos looking for new and easy stitches, I'm fairly new. I can single, double, and triple that's it. I am trying to find some different stitches that I can actually do. I have a lot of small practice squares .. all various stitches, some I messed up and some are good. Maybe I should stitch all those together and show them off on my own bed 😆 Thank you so much for all your videos!!
Hi Chrystal, This is just what I was looking for! I am a beginner, and I want to make a huge blanket for our kingsize bed. This one I can crochet in between other projects. Thank you for this tutorial!
I wish I’d seen this 2 weeks ago!!! Just made my daughter a new blanket with bernat blanket yarn, and this stitch would have been perfect!!!! Least her bestie (who is getting one with the same yarn & colors) will get it in this stitch!! Lol!!
Checkout the crochet pullover tutorial in this same stitch, link below ruclips.net/video/To5GD2TOjL0/видео.html
I sure will! And it will go on the “To Do” List too! Thanks for the link, Crystal!

I’m working on the pullover for myself right now using Premier Parfait. So cozy!
I definitely will!😊
The pullover is on my to do list. I took this stitch and I'm trying a shawl!

Lol...I couldn't do that. 😂
I've said before that I don't crochet, but I love rainbow jellys. I made a knit wrap for my kid with it and I bought more to make myself a cardigan. I love your videos so much just to see your yarn appreciation.
I have been searching for a stitch to use for a men's scarf and I believe this is it.
Thanks Crystal

Hello, how are you doing?
Six cakes I should have known it would be in the description you were 100% thorough in every way
Be well. 🦋
This is really easy. I decided to make a wash cloth to try out the stitch before making the blanket and its very pretty.
I love how easily this works up even when in a distracting environment.
Hello, how are you doing?
Crystal i just started a scarf for my friend with this stitch. It works up very easy and quick. Its pretry cold in PA this time of year..lol. Thank you for the turorial.
I am working on a blanket using this stitch, with ombre yarn in color cocoa. Size of the blanket is twin, for a child. Thanks again for the easy to follow tutorials. 🌹
I made a beautiful scarf with metallic size i yarn. 3.75 hook. I accidentally put a single double at the last stitch and it turned out great. Very straight edge.
I have used this stich pattern before I am glad you are showing others how great it looks with a bulky yarn
Maybe I should stitch all those together and show them off on my own bed 😆
Thank you so much for all your videos!!
Love this pattern! Doing it with a lighter weight yarn and it is coming out really nice! Thanks for the pattern!
Hi Chrystal, This is just what I was looking for! I am a beginner, and I want to make a huge blanket for our kingsize bed. This one I can crochet in between other projects. Thank you for this tutorial!
