I’m glad Atreus still kept the mistletoe arrow after it flew off his quiver, I guess he really does value his friendship with sindri.
He values his friendship with (mostly) everyone
I'm replaying the game. Something I didn't realize during the first playthrough is that Freya should have seen the broken mistletoe on Atreus while she was taking care of him when Kratos went to Hel.
After it came in handy breaking Baldur's curse I'm sure he might have thought keeping one for safeside😅
@@trdrollin she most likely was distracted saving the child who’s life was at stake, who definitely reminded her so much of her innocent child back in the fuckin day
Or whoever punches him can become Killable haha XD
The mistletoe makes him feel safe because it saves him once already
specially because kratos was the one who gave that piece to him, while teaching him a important lesson on the mountain top... makes sense...
Not sure Freya will like seeing the cause of death of his son hanging on the boi's neck.
More like it aided him instead of saving him.
or freya casts the same spell on herself or others so atreus has to use mistletoe in order to win the fights
I don't usually post theories, but I'd guess Freya got her 'warrior spirit' back because Odin lifted the curse. He didn't do it out of any kindness from his heart. With the death of Baldur, he and Freya have a common enemy now. Odin possibly didn't take the deaths of his grandsons that well, either.
I agree. Odin probably lifted the spell just so she could slow Kratos and Atreus down. I really hope she comes to her senses so she can tell Kratos that secret way into Asgard.
Freya might betray Odin when she comes into her senses. Now that she is free form his curse ya know she’ll just channel her rage from Kratos to Odin. I have a feeling that her Valkyries will play a major role in convincing Freya to stop her pursue of revenge against Kratos.
Odin probably removed the curse in hopes of hitting two birds with one stone because if freya succeeds then Odin won’t have to worry about Kratos; if Kratos kills Freya then that’s one less Vanir god to deal with… or they fight until both are significantly weakened that Odin can just have Thor easily dispatch both.
@@jackculler1489 That all makes sense.
I’m pretty sure that since she was the queen of the Valkyries, but the wings somehow contained her warriors spirit, as Mimir mentions that Freya asked where her Valkyrie wings were, and he suspected that she was trying to get her warriors spirit back.
I don't think so, Odin doesn't care for anyone, he only cares for himself. As an example, het let Thor beat the sh!t out of Modi, he basically threw him out of Asgard and discarded him as a son. Many more examples of this can be said.
Saw other theory where they could have gone back in time to fix something, maybe they went back to get Baldur and bring him in their time, and kept an arrow just in case?
I know what Durlins key is. Durlin as you pointed out is associated with the ocean and ships and so if anyone I think he would be the captain to a ship of his own meaning the key he has is the CAPTAINS KEY so I think kratos will take it off of him at one point and throw him into the hydras stomach.
Omg you genius that better be the reason
I just wrote comment about same theory! I totally agree with you!
Reminds me of Davy Jones key he held around his neck in Pirates of the Caribbean Dead man chest
I litterally just commented that too! I thought it would be a fun easter egg
Ooooohhhh I LOVE this one!!! I can't wait to find out you're right!!!
One thing I think wasn’t mentioned was that the tattoos on Tyr's left arm are Egyptian in nature, at least some of them, as they appear to be both hieroglyphics as well as murals in a sense, as I don’t quite know of the pictures of beings in Egyptian mythology and burial places are counted as hieroglyphics or not.
He did mention that in one of his videos just saying
Kuba mentioned this theory in one of his livestreams .
Tyr did travel through realms quite a lot, so him having tattoos from different places makes sense, not sure if it'll have any major importance since its information we already knew
Imagine Tyrs chest/back being Greek tattoos
Bro mimir said that tyr visited many places to learn many cultures to know people better ate why bc maybe he went to Egypt
With the realm travel bridge being locked to jotunheim can that also mean that they HAVEN’T gone anywhere since spreading Faye’s ashes?
Makes a lot of sense... after all, they didn't have any new motivations for traveling to other realms after they spread Faye's ashes. As far as we know, they just returned to their previous "normal" life, and that may be why Atreus is getting more anxious to get into adventures and fights
Perhaps, I mean after their long journey I can imagine them staying in their neighborhood just training and doing some more father son bonding 🤷🏾♂️
That might be plausible but I think after thor came to their house there could be some kind of travel just after it or to see Faye's home cause we know Atreus is close to his mother and he might have went their as in the trailer Atreus is trying to become loki in a way to fulfill his mother's wish , but at the end of the day it's just a theory
Or maybe Kratos decided to take Atreus to Jotunheim to train him and keep him safe after the first fight with Thor at the cabin, so as to continue from the previous game. Even with the Jotunheim tower, no one can actually travel there without eyes like Tyr and Mimir. Could explain why Kratos has the Jotunheim symbol on his armor.

1:43 About the mistletoe, the legends are that Baldur is revived after Ragnorok. Obviously the mythology itself exists in that world because Freya references it in game("'You believe in that?' 'I dearly wish I didn't child.'"), so Atreus might know it and likewise know that Baldur could/should come back, so he keeps the mistletoe for then?
Wouldn't be of much use. The enchantment/curse Freya cast unto him was undone already. But if they traveled back in time though, then that's a possibility.
1:31
Kuba: “this might be a souvenir of the 1st important for that Atreus helped take down”
Modi: “ Am I a joke to you? ”
😂😂😂
That's why I said "important" lol
@@KaptainKuba
Wow!! 😂😂😂😂
That burn was hotter than Prometheus’ fire!
I was thinking the same thing. What about Modi??? lmfaooo
Rest of the world, including Thor, Odin, Freya and Modi's Mother: "Yes"
@@Exxt3R 😂😂😂
I can't get enough of this game 😭
Same help😭💀
Ikr i keep waiting for a kuba video to learn more
💯
I need a part two
Only now I have noticed the shirt sleeve in Tyr's left arm is ripped. His left arm tattoos definitely has something to do with it.
It almost tells that Odin didn't liked his peaceful ways and found out about his travels to other realms and discovered this betrayal (arm tattooed by other cultures) by ripping his left sleeve off. Then he (Odin) imprisoned him (Tyr).
But it's just a theory.
Yeah, it seems his left arm is tattooed with hieroglyphs from other lands.
1:17 are you not gonna talk about about Atreus wearing part of kratos’s old Greek skirt, or did just no one notice.
Nah, he always wears that since the previous game and it's under his loin cloth thingy
Your channel has definitely been a beacon of light ever since that trailer/teaser came out! Great job man
He’s been a beacon even before the trailer.
I'm glad you've been enjoying it 😊
@@KaptainKuba kuba please say anything about my theory I commented I another video please say
@@KaptainKuba hey since Santa Monica confirm that this is last Norse mythology god of War so Odin is gonna die is this right Cause I heard in real mythology there is someone who will do the killing blow on Odin right but it's not kratos who will kill odin
@@Ritesh1133 Kratos can do whatever he wants, considering he isn’t tied to fat or prophecy meaning that If someone else were prophesied to kill Odin, that wouldnt matter to Kratos because he isn’t tied to prophecy or fate. So Kratos could kill Odin.
I'm all aboard with the Angrboda idea of her bein part Egyptian. I'm also cooking up a theory that Faye may have also been part Egyptian. Looking at her in the paintings she seems noticably darker than when we see Kratos or Baldur in the paintings. On top of this theory if you look at the God of War: Fallen God comic, Kratos goes to the "Land of the Pharaoh's". I feel we'll be traveling there in the next game to learn more about FAYE. This will also be the place that some of the Giants were able to escape to. Definitely see them tying that into how the Great Pyramids were made. Just a theory of mine. :)
That's the best theory out of all of these comments
Nice theory
The giants helping out the Egyptians in making the pyramids would be amazing. Such a good way to further tie the Norse mythology with the Egyptian mythology in GOW 👏🏻
I hope the egyptians after this and in the future maybe the romans maybe or some other cultureful land
I wonder if the gameplay will change again if they move to the Egyptian gods
Damn I hope when tyr meets kratos, he already knows who he is and instead of calling him by name he calls him the ghost of Sparta, feel like it would be a nice way for Atreus to slowly become more curios about his fathers past until he starts to openly try to find out what happened in Greece
Tyr: Ah, the Ghost of Sparta
Kratos: Do NOT call me that.
Boy: Ghost of what?
Kratos: A story for another time.
Clues seem to indicate that tyr does know who kratos is.
Don't ask him where did he get this patience and his detective mind❤️
If the time travel theory is correct, Kratos and Atreus may go back in time to the first Baldur fight to remove the curse therefore re-earning Freya’s trust.
Can’t wait to play ragnarok. Time flys fast so it’ll be a blink of an eye before ragnarok releases
@Mister Perfection So fckn true😭
@Mister Perfection most gow games have released in the spring! So yay
I can definitely see the Aesir performing population control for the dragons.
Since Norse dragons can channel lightning, it’s likely Thor crafted the armor from dragon scales to enhance his power.
The crystal on Freya’s sword looks like one of those crystal gems that can be lit up with the Light of Alfheim.
Since we see atreus being more like Kratos and being all about war, the mistletoe might be like a trophy to show to the enemies that he has killed a god before.
Man every video is getting better! I’m so happy to see you grow!
Thanks man, and thank you for your support
you’re smashing it kuba!
i never knew i’d be watching videos like these lmao
Hey Kuba, got a little question/theory I've cooked up, just interested in your opinion. If Freya let Baldur kill her and Kratos didn't stop him, would she get sent to the higher realm. Considering she died to ease her son's suffering, it would be pretty selfless, right?
No she would have went to Hel for not dying in battle
The question is would she go to Valhalla Cause she is the so called queen of Valkyries
She can’t go to hel nor Valhalla because she was cursed to stay in the mid realm. I believe her ghost would be trapped in mid realm just like all those other lost souls on the beach
@@senseilito1959 just what I was thinking wasn’t she trapped in Midgard.
If she did go to Valhalla that could but wouldn't make sense and as far as being cursed to Midgard after death won't work because magni and modi however u spell they name didn't come back to life to go to Valhalla and they wasn't cursed
Ayyy!
The mistletoe arrowhead probably has a plotpoint, but i don't think it's just to remember taking down Baldur. Maybe it's to mark himself as the main reason Baldur died so the Aesir gods know it was him?
Maybe Freyas sword is Tyrfing? It wouldn't surprise me if Durlin forged it for her a long time ago, as Durin was one of the first dwarves to ever exist.
Eh, great video as always Kap!
Kuba, an actress called Kate Miller has confirmed she is going to be Urdr one of the three norns
Yeah I saw, I have to talk about that too
@@KaptainKuba i think she is Freya's sister in Norse mythology
Am i right???
@@maxtrionyt2236 no she is one of the norns which is like the fates of norse myth. Shelby young also confirmed she is acting as skuld, another norn and part time Valkyrie.
You need to make more lore videos on that game you never heard of. You know, the one that won IGN's Best Game of All Times.
The mistletoe directly opposes Vanir magic, which is why it broke the spell on Baldur. I imagine it is something useful against Freya, like if she uses Vanir magic to have vines hold them down or something. I think Atreus kept it for utility over sentimentality.
Now that you mentioned Thor as a possible Dragon slayer, he really looks like a much more detailed version of Stoic from How to Train Your Dragon, minus the helmet, top, and Mjolnir.
You just had to hit me in the feels
This mad lad is literally still watching the trailer
Tyr: So this is the ghost of Sparta I've been hearing about, he does look like the pottery the Greek gave me
Great breakdown, glad i can always count on you giving us info
I finished Gow 4 recently and found your channel. The lore and your theory are really entertaining. I even started playing the old Gow (started with 1 then chains of Olympus then ghost of Sparta). Currently on Gow 2 😀. Keep up the great content
Could the mistletoe not be a gift from kratos regarding atreus' bravery or something? We know he is making his arrows and still keeps the bag that held Faye's ashes. It feels like he values sentiment more now
Also couldn't the band on angerbodas arm be an arm ring? Very prominent in Scandinavian culture
I already imagine this
Thor
(Revealed his mighty hammer surrounded by blue lightning)You seem like a Calm and Reasonable Person, Are You a Calm and Reasonable Person?
Kratos
(He gripped his axe by his right hand while his left hand gripped one of the blades) Depends how you will approach me..
Thor
(He smiled, gripped his hammer) Very well, I have to say. I wasn't expecting to meet the Ghost of Sparta.
Kratos
(He exhales, gritted his teeth) How do you know that monsters name?
Thor
(He chuckled) Freya, the crazy witch my father in prison in this realm. After You killed my brother, I wanted to greet you with justice endured by my hammer.. Especially what you done to my boys.
Atreus
(He lifted his bow, pulled the string that had a arrow) T..they attacked us..we were only protecting ourselves! W..we never wanted to kill them!
Thor
(Sighs angerly) I love these conversations, but I have no time to play these mind games..now then Ghost of Sparta, I'm gonna finish what Zeus could not.
Kratos: *NO*
But but the Hel in my previous country is a different one than yours...
@@That_One_Guy...
Just a badass line. But yeah..I should probably change that 😅
Thank u kuba ever since I started to watch your videos I began to understand gow alot better
Yeah me to
Awesome work man!!
I don't know if you noticed, but kratos seems more ripped now. It can be just a "game design option", or he trained to be prepared... because RAGNAROK IS ALREADY HERE
sorry for my bad english, its not my first language.
Verdade, também acho que ele deve ter treinado, ou provavelmente o próprio corpo dele sente a guerra iminente e muda. E o seu inglês é bom, sim kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
He and atreus slept for 1 or 2 years but im not sure if it affects a god's weight
@@xerozheck9406 They didn't sleep 1-2 years straight. The end scene of GOW 2018 just says that the Thor encounter happens years before, and not that thay kept sleeping all that time. Lore and Legends says that Kratos and Atreus were both very active during Fimbulwinter
@@xerozheck9406 they slept for 1-2 years sure buddy 😂😂
Kuba, I noticed something when I was playing God of War (2018) that I hadn’t noticed in earlier play throughs. After getting the ingredients to craft the Motsognir armor. Atreus wonders out loud how Brok and Sindri will be able to craft anything with the weird ingredients but then Mimir says they once made “an unbreakable chain with nothing but cat footprints” (or something along those lines) but I think this is a reference to the chain used to restrain Fenrir because after a quick google search it says that the chain used to restrain Fenrir is made from cat footprints. Just thought it was interesting and didn’t know if you knew already.
Then again Fenrir is supposed to be Loki's son and is supposed to start Ragnarok. That means Atreus had his son fenrir in the future. And there's some time traveling loop somewhere that makes it so that there are two Atreus (Loki) living at the same time or something.
Another banger video man these are amazing keep it up! 🔥
Kuba!!! Much love man! So hyped for this game. Don’t stop making videos about GOW
I won't lol
Looking at this i have a theory about the gem on Freya's Sword. According to me it could be the physical manifestation of her fighting spirit which increases the power of her sword(somewhat like the blade of olympus). and as long as she is in contact with the energy that passes down the sword she still has the spirit. The trailer does not have the gem as at that point in the game she has just retrieved her fighting spirit and is using it normally but then decides to use this form of the spirit after learning how strong Kratos is(maybe even after the point in the story where Kratos kills thor). But again this is just my theory.
“Physical manifestation of her fighting spirit”
Oh boy
"According to me" who tf even says that, that's how i know your theory is wrong 😂😂😂
You guys are really over thinking this sword thing. She had it the whole time in the previous game. It’s either her Valkyrie sword or her brothers sword. Her being able to harm living beings again is either her finding someway to undo Odin’s spell or Odin lifting the spell for her so she can slow down Kratos.
@@Omni-King2099 hey 👋 let the Minecrafter do his thing
@@2050angel i accept it.
just a thought, but what if we have to cut off tyrs right hand to free him from the rope (as it is the only hand tied to the rope) as the rope is uncuttable and indestructible like mimirs tree
I don't think it will be that easy
It depends whether or not the devs make freeing Tyr a big plot point in the game.
Shxt, I just said along when you said "go forth.. In the name of ragnarok". I'm becoming addicted to this channel
Dude you’re keeping me going while waiting for this game to come out 😂
I’ve almost run out of GoW theory videos to watch
Hahaah I got more, dont worry
Tyr when he sees Kratos: Hello… I think I have a vase for you..
Kratos remembers he smashed it: 😳
What about Freyas tattoos. In the last game the tattoos became darker throughout the game. In the trailer they look pretty light.
They didn't become darker THROUGHOUT the game, I think it was only for the final battle, as she was determined to save Baldur... kinda like a warrior's war mark, facepaint, etc... She could still have them as strong as it was in the last game, but considering the Fimbulwinter, thus having to cover herself up for the cold and also she being careless and not giving a damn about her self being, I don't think she could care to do it. She only cares about destroying Kratos
Nice video kuba! As always🥰
Really Loved this breakdown. Didn't expect to learn as much as i did. Keep it up
The rune on Freya's sword could typically be a Bifrost holding light of Alfhiem............ There is no proof just imagination
She was the queen of the Valkyries so who knows what weapons she has access to as well as being so well versed in magic. It may have even come from Odin since she would have needed him to break the curse preventing her from harming anyone or anything.
To all those who are wondering where Serpent went, head to Fafir's storeroom outside which there is a Nornir chest and the Serpent rests just above it ! Although I was able to only see its body and yet to find its head... Ik I'm late but just wanted to add it here!
Can u timestamp it ?
@@shaunarthur5111 It's not in this video, he's talking about the 2018 game
@@kelbinhow thank you man for the clarification.
Could be that Jormmungandr is in hibernation due to the extreme cold of Fimbulwinter. He might be the World Serpent, but he still IS a Serpent, which means that cold weather would affect even him, though, because of his massive size, he just sleeps instead of dying.
i wanted to thank u kaptain kuba because when i first bought god of war 4 i just bought it cuz i was bored and didnt have games that were fun but when i started watching u i seriously began loving god of war and since then ive been watching every theory video u made from over a year and i just wanted to thank u for everything you've done and btw i love ur content and i will always support you keep up the theories

Watching your videos made me by the god of war lore book !! Love it and can't wait for the new game! Keep up the content 👍
I have questions
1.Are all the spartans alive after gow 3?
2.If the spartans are alive do you think that kratos will go to greece and bring them back to fight alongside the giants in ragnarok ?
(P.S. LOVE YOUR CONTENT)
the entirety of Greece was in ruins after GOW3... but it is possible that the power of hope that kratos released slowly restored the world and maybe even new deities have taken control of the land... along with the blade of Olympus in their possession... they are probably not helping kratos after what he (and the others) did to their world... too far fetched I know lol...
That sounds valid.THANKS
Try’s face looks exactly how I thought Orin’s face would look
Keep it up man, loving what you put out... always have but your brain may be blessed 🙌
Finally! I've been waiting for this video. ly kuba
All i want is not killing Freya and most perfect fight with Thor and Freya together.
If they go with the actual source material surtr will be the one to kill her during the ragnarok.
@@shaunarthur5111 yes i read that somewhere that Freya died like that. But this will not be Ragnarok like it was in mythology because that means Atreus will die too.
@@domi1992ish that is true. I think they will add thier own spin to the established story though. just like they did with baldurs death (baldur losing his invisibility by mistletoe). And it is not out of the realm of possibility that they kill off atreus/loki while keeping kratos alive and move on with him to the next pantheon. It would be weird to see the lore based north god like atreus/loki in egypt.
Imagine the game beginning with Freya burying Balder!!! Oh shit...
I just want to see a cutscene from ragnarok
Dammmmm that would be sick!
@@KaptainKuba its gonna be epic. So cool.
That would be quite symbolic
yeah it would be amazing, but most probably not happening... because this ''one shot, no cut'' camera work restricts the EVERYTHING so much... it's actually disturbing... the camera is almost glued to kratos & atreus and not going anywhere lol... that is why we hardly ever get to see anything from other's perspective...we can't get a conversation between odin and thor in asgard/freya burying baldur/anyone anywhere because the camera would literally have to go to them and travel back... this can't be done over and over... because it would look stupid... seamless transitions are important, there are moments in shines... but dragging that throughout the entire game? nah... dont get me wrong GOW4 was amazing (camera work was good too) but it had it's flaws... i couldn't believe they went it again, but probably because they weren't planning to make too many changes in the game to begin with... which makes sense since GOW4 was top tier... more like top tyr... also sorry for the rant lol...
The background music is so nostalgic! Nice video bro
Thanks for taking your time to have more fun for god of war ragnarok
Wait, if Kratos and Atreus can time travel.
Then they could technically stop Ragnarok by not killing Baldur.
Maybe kick his behind and tie him up.
No dead Baldur = no angry Freya = no Ragnarok.
And if time travel is an option, maybe finally Kratos can prevent the death of his OG wife and child and bring them to the present like he did with the titans.
@vignesh why bring back his old wife and child?he has atreus and just lost faye. Why not bring Faye back?
@@paulsmith9192 Kratos already can time travel but he didn't bring back his wife Lyssandra, he didn't bring back his daughter Calliope, and he didn't bring back Faye. There's probably a reason for that.
Maybe the gem lookin thing on Freya's sword has something to do with the light of Alfheim
Its possible, I just know it looks different from a normal rune
@@KaptainKuba 100%
I know that this comment is huge, but i thought that would be cool to share all this teory/ info. Congrats Kuba, you are awesome.😀😁
Kratos: the iron piece that goes under his shield(on his left arm) looks a little different
Freya: i think that the light that is on her sword is a bifrost. Hear me out: what if freya not only get her fighting spirit back, but also, somehow, get rid of odin's curse and now she can travel between realms again, AND her bifrost is the one tha we saw in the trailer (the column of light)
Brok: The fact that Brok is actually using a glove is just remarkable to me because sindri always complained about brok not using gloves; also wanted to point it out that brok has two hammers( the one he is holding and the one on hisbelt), why?
Durlin: i think the key on his neck is just a little nod to the ship captain
Thor: i looked it up about thor having a scar, but nothing popped up my sight, so i don't know if is something important( not saying that thor's desing is bad, just a thing that wanted to say about him)
Týr: i get the time travel idea, but doesn't seem right to me that an aesir deity is wearing "not shiny" clothes, even Týr. I mean, i know Týr is the black sheep in Asgard, but even in the images of the 2018 game, we can see that he is wearing some sort of armor
Your videos open so many doors keep doin what you doin bro go forth In the name of ragnorok 👊🏾

Nice
Yes you're first
Love your vids!
I've got this crazy theory about Tyr and the way he seems to almost dislike Kratos from what we've seen so far. What if Tyr is jealous of Kratos? I'm wondering since we have prophecies from Jotenheim that Faye was going to be the mother of Loki and prophecies are never specific, what if it was prophesized that Faye would fall in love with a god of war; and Tyr interpreted that to be himself. Maybe he fell in love with Faye because of this prophecy; but that love was never returned. Would be a really interesting dynamic to create between the two gods of war we'll have in the next game.
If you think Tyr is jealous I would think you haven’t even played the 4th game.
@@KobeLoverTatum exactly tyr is very selfless
I get that the story SMS is telling isn’t the same exact copy as the actually myths but SMS has literally told you so many tales in game about how selfless Tyr is, about how honorable he is, it would be a slap in the face to everything the 4th game set up. If they wanted to and found a way to do it, SMS has the right to do it, but I don’t subscribe to the “Tyr’s mad/jealous” theory. He’s a giant, of course he towers over Kratos. He’s been imprisoned for year of course he isn’t all smiles at the moment. Sure all this might have changed Tyr but I doubt it, that’s why Tyrs Tyr and not another God.
I mean, Tyr is portrait as a selfless god so I doubt he would be jealous.
But he might have a good reason to not like Kratos though, considering Tyr went to Greece after GOW 3, so we don't know what the humans who rebuilt Greece told Tyr about Kratos
@@sdsdsa0d That's a good point too!
To all the other replies...I'm not understanding why being jealous is at all a divergence from being a selfless person. You can be selfless and still envy others. No one is perfect, not to mention all the info we have about Tyr is from the past and people/gods can change.
Keep making your content! You are Great!!
Hey there Kaptain! While I love your point about the mistletoe tip being used to tackle Baldur, what I think is that in the GOW Norse World, Vanir magic in general is greatly affected by Mistletoe and wears it after some point in the game to fight against Freya! As we hear from Mimir when in GOW 2018 when the spell is broken, he doesn't comment on Baldur's curse but on the entirety of Vanir magic...Great video!
Amazing details breakdown!
Good video as always kaptain
love ur vids
I love how calmly kratos blocks Freyas attack while sitting down at around 8:59 in the vid
Nice video kaptain Kuba can't wait for gow 5 to come 😀 small details but very good theories
There is a few things that might hint at her being Egyptian,
-skin color like you said
-I think her arm band is traditional in Egyptian design
-if you look back at the trailer, as she is turning around you get a look at her hair design, her hair is kept together using two needles, them both combined make the Egyptian symbol for Isis (the two horns or wings)
-also the use of gold in her color scheme, is similar to a lot of designs I've seen of ancient Egypt.
My man kuba becoming more and more hyped for this game not only you man 😅

Great video Kuba. One thing though, Scandinavians had arm rings that meant a lot to them. Mainly men wore them after receiving one once entering into manhood at around 12 years old. They were worn always and sworn upon.
Dont they look more like bracelets?
@@KaptainKuba depends on how the wearer molds it. They were made from pewter so are malleable and can be formed abs re-formed to a wrist or arm. But they are spoken of as arm rings not bracelets in the Eddas.
About the tattoos on Thor's belly.... the one under his right nipple is the same you can see under Brjorn left eye in Vikings. It's a part of the Vegvisir, which is an icelandic sigil meant to be a guidance for the beared, helping him to find his way in any circumstances, even in the harsh weather such as a storm. Kinda appropriate for Thor if you ask me, since he's also the god of rain and storms, other than thunder and strenght
Maybe the mistletoe tip still carries remnants of Baldur's invulnerability magic. Atreus will use it as a healing tool
One thing that I've noticed is that the tattoos seem to hint at power and enchantments characters have. Mimir's head is covered in runes, perhaps indicating his knowledge, and Freya's arms were initially covered in faint silver lines hinting at tattoos and later in the game we could see them become dark blue. I remember somewhere either Atreus or Freya gained blue tattoos on their fingertips when they used the light arrows. The most obvious example though was Baldur, we could see when the spell broke that the light followed the runes tattooed into his skin.
On a side note, I also saw that the inside of Mimir's lips are blue, could that be from Freya bewitching him? And was the blue present before he was freed from the tree or only after he was brought back?
Kuba, i saw on the wiki of God of War:Ragnarok, that there are some other voice actors that will make some secondary characters on the game, and i saw that Lani Minella(who made Sindel and Sheeva in MK9, at least i remember) will be in the cast, and she will interpret 3 characters, and one of them is The Raven Keeper, The person who wrote The Scrolls of Sealing Svartalfheim and Asgard. She confirmed on Twitter as well
Yeah i saw, I wonder what that's about
I think Angrboda being part Egyptian makes some sense because in Fallen God there is an episode where Kratos is approached and carried away by three wolves possibly being Fenrir(born of Loki and Angrboda), Skoll and Hati.. just making some assumptions and connections.. time travel being different in different mythos and realms…
Durlins key might be Boats Captain Key! There has been many references trough out the series!
"Long time fans of the franchise will know about the tragedy of a boat captain who has had the misfortune of coming across Kratos on several occasions. In the first God of War game, Kratos encounters a boat captain who he throws, or allows to drop, inside the belly of a hydra after claiming the key that he was wearing as a necklace. Later in the game, the same boat captain returns in a scene and Kratos kicks him down towards the underworld. This boat captain has made recurring appearances or mentions in the next God of War titles, including the 2018 soft reboot.
The boat captain's key treasure is an obvious reference to the aforementioned boat captain. A letter details someone who personally knows him, even mentions the time his journey towards the belly of a hydra."
This is a brilliant analysis
Cannot wait for all the theories
One of your best videos
Great thanks man ❤️
I'm even more intrigued now Mr. Kuba
I think Freya will go full Valkyrie by the end of the game. Love your videos, I've only found them a week ago and finished 90 percent of them save for the game streams.
Durlins key could be a key to each land he has visited, a way to travel to each place.(Greece, Egypt, Mayans, etc). Could be for door or he can travel using his ship.
I think in regards to Durlin, I think (like some others I have noticed in the comments) the key could be a reference to the boat captain from the original God of War where you need to get a key from him to get through a door to where some people are locked behind. But I wouldn't be too surprised if that key Durlin wears is used in some way in the new game.
Scandinavians also had armrings. They were one of their most prominent and popular pieces of jewelry actually - look it up.
man i love the background music to the vid, ephemeral
I've been hyped for many games before, but I've never felt so sure that my hype isn't misguided as with this one. This is coming from someone who's only played God Of War 2018 and watched a story recap of the previous games. I wasn't expecting to fall in love to the degree that I have. The experience of God Of War 2018 on a PS5 also did a lot to justify my purchase of that console. Whatever Santa Monica Studio have in store for us with Ragnarok, I'm 100% on board.
Your dictation and voice are so good, it is almost like you are the oficial narrator of God of war’s stories.
Hahaha I don't think my voice is that good but thank you
