    I have learned more about my 08 G35 Sedan from you than anyone else on YT Anthony. I always enjoy your videos. I keep it in top shape and am never going to part with him. (Name is Silver like the Lone Ranger's Horse cause he is white!!) Some brain dead young 20 something ran into him and smashed the rear. No frame damage just need bumper trunk tail lights but thanks to the corrupt state I live in here in US the insurance companies can force you to salvage your title. Plus not offer to give near the value of the car on top of that.. Having to hire lawyer just to NOT salvage my title & get reasonable repair to restore Silver to the way he was before wreck. Another case of billionaires lording over the rest of us. Probably will not even see this since i criticized the elite. Will get shadow banned for sure or maybe outright deleted. Always do....

    I’m not too mechanically inclined. I have only done brakes, rotors, oil changes, and spark plugs/wires. Other than spark plugs I’ve never touched my engine bay. Here in California they’re charging 500-600 dollars for labor on installing headers. Im definitely considering investing a little money into some simple tools and really doing a long tube header install on my own.

    God , we just started this job the other day using a lift , if your Z or G is old i highly recommend getting access to a life , the bolts were so seized up on the header even after spraying .. it took heavy muscle even with the tourque wrench to budge them , that would prob move the car on stands 😬

    Anthony great tutorial. I'm sure it's very helpful for any wanting to make the swap. The details is beyond reproach. My main question is real world dyno/hp gain, not manufacturers claims. Any before/after dyno numbers? 0 to 60 times improvements? How is the new NVH after installation? Are heat shields/wrap recommended to protect any nearby cables, hoses etc...?
    Still you have the most professional detailed information on the internet.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! I have a bunch of follow up videos regarding these questions in the next few weeks.
      The Tomei set I purchased comes with heat wrap and a shield for the fuel lines. I chose to have my new headers Cerakoted inside and out. I will be heading to the duno after, I expect midrange power to pick up more, since the factory manifold look very restrictive and throttle response should improve due to less restriction.

    • @crimsonsw21
      @crimsonsw21 2 года назад

      I bought mine before they provided a wrap, Tomei at that point didn't recommend wrapping, but if you hold these in your hand you won't want to, too tight.
      Just get them coated, I do plan on getting this material they sell (like a stiff blanket) to cover the cats and headers. NVH same as stock but the exhaust pulses are more pronounced, the gains can be felt but I don't know if anyone has done a straight comparison on the dyno yet.

    could you replace the exhaust manifold gasket for the driver side without removing the steering shaft? also is there enough space to pull the exhaust manifold back after removing the nuts to slide the gasket in or do you have to take it out completely?

    Hello Anthony,
    Problem with 350z
    let fuel tank get too low
    engine won't idle.... goes dead
    question??? were is the fuel filter????
    I'm having no luck on internet

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  2 года назад

      As far as I know there's no fuel filter, just a strainer. So when the gauge is really low it doesn't run?
      I would keep the fuel at half a tank. It will help the pump run cooler because you're submerging it in fuel constantly.

    I’m working with my son on his 350 HR. We are putting high flow cats on, the problem we’re having is the “ Demon” bolt on the upper right one. We’ve broken a few extensions and even used a 1050 lb impact wrench and it still hasn’t broken loose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated🤙🏽🤙🏽

    • @AnthonyJ350

      I sprayed it with Seafoam Deep creep and let it soak for a couple days. And I sprayed it in between. You can then try hammering it to shock it.
      It is the one with the stud that's pressed in? Or just a normal bolt and nut?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  2 года назад

      It would probably be anywhere between $300 - $600 depending on the brand of headers. I'm just finishing up my equal length Tomeis and they're a challenge to install because of the way the primaries are layed out. I still think they're the best shorty design and Z1 Motorsports is a close second.
