There's usually a clip you have to unlock with your finger, then the plug will come off.
I have a 2003 modle with the VQ35DE and I just cleaned the TB and installed a plenum spacer. I just can't get it to idle normally :( I did all the resets and it seems successful, but the car idles around 1100 rpm and when I'm revving it it will drop to 1500rpm and hold for a sec and then back to 1100. And if I'm in gear it idles also around 1500rpm.
For context I think It's the first time Its even been cleaned for ~140k miles. It was filthy!
Try this and take it for a good drive ruclips.net/video/5tQm28K32SQ/видео.html
Given the age of the vehicle I would install new cam position sensors and a new crank position sensor as well. I have videos on both.
@@AnthonyJ350 Thanks man, love your videos on the Z
@@botao7274 You're welcome! I'm working on the car again so you'll see new videos on it soon!
Can you help me? My car when is hot drives well, but when switched off and left for an hour then started again after a mile of driving when switching gears or braking it can easily shut off. It also can stall when accelerating. It doesn't happen if I wait 3 minutes before driving
Is there a check engine light on of any kind? What kind of car is it?
@@AnthonyJ350 It's 350z 04'. There is a check engine but cannot read it with any obd2. It came on when driving at highway speed.
@@Grendel817 did you fix it ? Im dealing with same problm now,
Hey man I have an 03 350z and I have a similar throttle body spacer, i have the code p0507 and its causing me to lose power/bog out at 3.5k-4k rpms. I tried everything, tried the relearn 100 times, tried new throttle body, tried new maf sensor, nothing is fixing it, pleeeeease help me
Has the car ever stalled? Cam and crank position sensors all seem to be failing now that the cars are older. I have videos on those parts if you want to check it out.
AnthonyJ350 car doesn’t stall unless I try to do a burnout, at around 3.5 to 4k rpm car cuts power and just revs super high, bogs out badly, thinking I need a new ecu? I’m 19 man I don’t have much money my dream is to rocketbunny it and eventually make it into a track build but i just spent all my money trying to get a shop to diagnose it and they couldn’t even figure it out
@@PlatinumPerfect Did they do a smoke test to check for any air leaks?
@@PlatinumPerfect Also have you performed the relearn procedure like this? ruclips.net/video/5tQm28K32SQ/видео.html
AnthonyJ350 they did a smoke test and found a large evap leak, fixed that assuming it would fix my issue but it didn’t, still throwing the p0507 code, and yes I’ve tried that relearn, I’ve tried every relearn procedure for nissans pretty much
Does it work on a 06 coupe
It should, my car is a 2006
@@AnthonyJ350 ok mines an auto so I hope it works
My throttle body bolt seems to be stuck i am using what seems to be the right size but when I start to put a lot of pressure about 4 Ight doggas I start seeying the bolt start to brake down
It doesn't need much pressure to hold down. I would buy new hardware from the dealership.
I would love to talk to you! Hope we can hook up! What happens if a relearn is not done? my nIssan Murano 2011 fuel injection and throttle body cleaned in 2019,. They did not relearn that I know of. Did have a code P0101 that came up within a month or 2. Other mechanic place said was a "torn boot" and replaced. In 8/21, Nissan dealer "cleaned the throttle body". Manager would require a relearn. None done. Car has had issues since end of May when they had it for 90K. The P01010 code came up. they replaced the MAF sensor and charge $$340, and also the VIAS ASSY. My husband brought it hopme. I wanted to see the assessment. There was NONE! Still has issues. took in again in August. They cleaned throttle body, no relearn etc in May or August. starting issues, now coolant low, not sure what else. Daughter has it at school. Also AC doesn't work since July.
You can try doing the relearn yourself ruclips.net/video/5tQm28K32SQ/видео.html
Seems like an awful lot of problems. You can email me at info@gofasthavefun.ca if you have other concerns and I can try to help out.
When I check to see if it mimics me it dosnt move at all
You have ignition on?
What's the size of the allen key used
I don't remember honestly, it was metric though.
Hey I have a problem with my g35 please help
What's the problem?
I like your vids a lot but you should not put music when you're talking
I don't really edit them that way anymore. Thanks for the feedback!
How do you test the throttle to open and close
I showed in the video. Push on the accelerator with the intake tube still disconnected.
i change my spark plug and clean my intake and now my throttle wont open, i start it then die after 3-5 sec, i noticed i step my gas pedal and my TB wont open , help please?
@anthonyJ350
Covering basics, is it plugged all the way in?
You can try the ECU reset procedure ruclips.net/video/5tQm28K32SQ/видео.html
@@AnthonyJ350 yeah i did plug in all the way
@@AnthonyJ350 i will try it after i work, i let you know if everything works
@@nhikkeyfayloga327 Check all your fuses as well.
75mm from Z1 bro
Does it actually increase power for the money? The intake manifols opening and the MAF sensor is still the stock diameter.
@@AnthonyJ350 in theory it should increase top end since it tapers from 75mm to 70mm instead of the 70mm stock . It is an increase of airflow that should hurt too Hot but help on too end . Would make a killer video and dyno comparison. It's $330 at Z1 on sale . I would get the Z1 brand since it's one piece with 2 solid gasket's instead of the others that need 3 O rings . I mean 5mm it's 5mm of airflow . Can't argue with that .
Plus you should be able to fit your mishimoto elbow if you do it on boiling water to stretch it out.
I got the P0171 system too lean bank 1 code. Could this be my issue? I did my own valve cover and gasket replacement and when I put everything back, that’s what happened. It sounds like a hissing noise from the back as if sir was escaping. My throttle body is a bit dirty but I was wondering cleaning it and replacing the gasket could solve the issue?
Could possible be a vacuum leak as well.
@@AnthonyJ350 actually I took out out my upper plenum to realize that it was the gasket. Somehow the back it was all folded in half (rookie mistake) and now she’s running pretty much good. She does idle around 900-1000 but I’m assuming that’s because I cleaned my throttle body and needs the relearn.
@@J.Y_Z33 Good job fixing it! Yes perform the relearn after a mod like that.
