Thanks for following. We appreciate the support. That’s not bad 16mpg around town in a tuned truck. We do love it here in Alaska. There’s so much to do with this truck out here.
right on. i have the tune, 4.56 gears, 255/80r17 wildpeak at3w with a wraith exhaust. i have an unfortunate commute of 30 miles each way in the sf bay area. i can still squeak out a 21ish mpg. i never saw the v4 before the tune. i also have the tune for some 34X10.50/17 super swampers and get similar mpg. the power is a noticeable thing for each tune as well. it's awfully nice of your wife to let you drive the truck dustin.
Put the tune on my ZR2 after upping tires to the 285/70r17 mickey thompson baja boss at's, E rated. Was kinda regretting that decision because truck was noticeably slower and felt sluggish everywhere. After the tune and the bigger tires, it felt substantially better than stock with stock tire size. Best upgrade for the money spent but this is how it should have been from the factory.
There are 3 levels that you can purchase. I got the advantage plus because I changed my tire size. It was around $495 when I purchased. The check engine light was on because the engine wasn’t running. The check engine light isn’t on with this tune. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps.
28 extra horse and 41 extra lb-ft torque would be really nice in my ZR2. I wonder if they'll have this Trifecta tune available for the new 2023 Turbo 4 cylinder engine.. which will already have significantly more torque than my 2022. Would be so sweet to have a really overpowered/fast ZR2
Thank you, Dustin. I recently commented on your new video considering possible mods such as a snorkel. I am now researching and thinking of getting the Trifecta tune for my ZR2 after your video. I wonder about your (and everyone else's) opinion on if you should get the mods or the Trifecta tune first. I already have the snorkel and 33's, but was considering others. My mpg has definitely taken a hit after the 33's (and snorkel), and would like to get some of it back rather than faster performance.
Great content Dustin. I appreciate you sharing your mods I have followed suit with a few of them. I am wondering what your Warranty situation is and does this tune detectable by the dealership even if you revert back to stock?
Thanks for the support. So, I can only speak from personal experience. My truck is still under warranty. I’ve had it in for one warranty issue. An oil cooler line busted. I’ve tuned every vehicle I’ve owned and I just return it to stock before taking it into the dealer. It’s never been an issue.
The dealer is not going to dig deep at looking for evidence of a tune unless you have a catastrophic engine failure. I have had 1 warranty repair completed (Trans flush) with the tune installed and dealer didn't comment on it.
I have a tune on mines and v4 mode is turned off and the avg mpg in stop and go traffic does not go below 19 mpg and on the factory tune the torque converter locks in the lower rpm and the torque converter staying locked decreases the gas mileage by a lot and that now when I'm coasting the rpms drop to idle speed instead of staying between 1500 to 2500 and has the power of a v6 mustang and v6 challenger and has no mods under the hood

It’s not 100% Accurate as is doesn’t account for light timing and the truck will roll around 5-10 mph before the app catches up. (It should add 2-3 seconds for delay) most likely around 12.5 trifecta/ 15.5 stock. Makes sense as 0-60 is about 0.7 seconds faster. The Hp/Trq is through the power band.
