    Excellent video. I was thinking about ordering RS3 Pro for FX3 I think RS3 would just work, however can I use monitor mount and Atmos Ninja screen? It takes heavy batteries so would add more weight .
    It would be great if you can cover using monitor setup and audio mic with RS3.

      You could mount the monitor on the gimbal, but not the camera. The optional handle works great for monitor use. If you are trying to make it easier to balance, the mic could also be mounted on the gimbal as well.

      Good catch! There is a portrait/fpv mode, but you'll have to hold the gimbal horizontally, and it's not nearly as stable or practical for filming vertically. If you're going to shoot a lot of reels or do it for clients, you'll definitely need to mount the camera vertically.

    Hi, I have looked everywhere online and I'm still not sure...I want to use my Sony FX3 with tamron 35-150 f2 which is huge and heavy. But I see you using the 70-200 which is also huge, and only 100g lighter. How is it with that lens on? Does the gimbal struggle? I don't really want to be on the edge with a lens that will be on my camera 90% of the time. But I also can't really afford the RS3 pro! Your thoughts on this would be super useful, thanks

    • @CK3DPRINTS
      @CK3DPRINTS  2 года назад +1

      I think it could handle it, but it would definitely be operating close to the edge of its ability. If you don't want to pay for the rs3 pro, your best option is likely the rs2. The rs2 has a higher payload than the rs3 standard. I'm not 100% on balancing, but it should work fine.
      In your case, this is the order I would shop (best first) :
      Rs3 pro
      Rs2
      Rs3

    • @AlexDelfont
      @AlexDelfont 2 года назад

      @@CK3DPRINTS Thanks very much. One last question, can a gimbal be too powerful for lighter setups and cause issues? The tamron is my only huge heavy lens, the rest are primes and very light like the Sony 85mm 1.8. Will these still be fine on the RS3 Pro? If so then I'll get it as it will be worth the extra investment overall
      The RS2 in the UK is not really cheaper than the RS3 PRO, unless I get it used of course

    I would imagine that the battery life decreases when using bluetooth?

    • @CK3DPRINTS
      @CK3DPRINTS  2 года назад +1

      Good question. My immediate answer would be yes, but after a little research, bluetooth only uses about 3%-4% of the battery life on a phone. The ratio of use to battery size on a gimbal is probably even less. Another factor would be the amount of battery savings by having the gimbal in standby slightly longer vs reaching for the record button and putting torque on the arms when you press it. Although this would be negligible, I think it might offset the small amount of BT draw. The final point would be the battery savings on the camera since you would record slightly less. Of course, the USB would probably be the most efficient route.
