@@KofiYeboah I had the A7iv and sold it for the FX30. Mainly because of the external 6k raw recording etc. Until I saw the S5ii, I was thinking about getting the A7iv again. That’s a whole other story in itself I won’t bore you with.
Hey I love you are using the 416, just a quick tip, the "grills" shouldn't be facing down, the solid strip is a slight dead spot on the mic so if you face that down it cuts handling noise from the camera. :)

I can only find the rs2 combo on amazon I bought the rs4 pro by accident and I am obviously way over my head bc I have no idea what I am doing and what is compatible. I am so used to the iphone and the drones that I wasnt aware of how much went into this gimbal

I suggest you use the seinheisser 8060 if you are going to be mounting the mic on the camera, but if you have the time to mount the mic to a mic stand near the subject then its fine.

So how do you switch between photos and video on the fx30 with out affecting your settings? On the A7IV you turn a dial and your video and photo settings are separate and don’t affect each other. Haven’t figured this part out on the fx30 but would love to be able to have separate photo and video settings.

Had no idea you worked with Mark. Awesome 👏🏻I’m honestly torn between the fx30 and a7iv. Love the fx30 form factor but full frame just has that ‘look’. I like taking photos but video is more important. The crop modern a7iv is pretty handy but that fx30 design and video focus is just awesome. FX3 wayyyyy out of my budget. Would some nice full frame 1.4 primes on the fx30 be a good compromise? Be great to hear your suggestions. I think a lot of people are comparing these two.
FX30 is a like not the best in everything but very good at everything and cheaper lenses so IMO better for starters and better for someone who is mainly focusing on video

I was wondering if I made the 6300 my b cam and the fx30 the main cam, would you be able to tell the difference in image quality? I’m just wondering if it would be best to wait and get 2 fx30 to keep it consistent.
So, I am wanting to use my FX30 on a Ronin SC with a ninja 5+ and a follow focus with the Laowa Nanomorphs. Do you have any mounting suggestions? This is for a short film.
why wouldn't you put the 416 on a boom? how's the audio w/ the 416 so far from the subject? that's kind of defeating the purpose of back-up audio, isn't it?

If the FX30 had second base ISO at at least 6400 it would be great, but the 12.8000 Butterly smooth FX3 is worth all the extra money not to mention full frame. But people with Crop sensors lens that want to move up the FX30 is probably a good choice if they want to invest in crop sensor lenses and cameras.. Otherwise the A7IV is a better all around camera for video and photography. You have great full frame and 1.5 crop on 4K 60p which I actually like better than the FX3 except for the 12.800 ISO and no over heating problems.
@@KofiYeboah You can say that again. Mine has been overheating a lot bc I shoot 60p 4K almost 95% of the time. Only if the FX30 had a higher 2nd base ISO it would killer.
coming from the a6XXX series and got plenty of apsc lenses, the FX30 is the only choice for my next purchase. FX3 is way too high on price and the FF lenses untouchable. The picture between the two is almost the same. And i really can't understand that full frame mania.
Just go with zvE1 or a7cii and you can upgrade your lens in future. Till then you can use eapsc lens with full frame camera using clear image zoom or apsc mode.
That 50mm on that camera and gimbal gives you 75mm which is pretty long for gimbal work.. Many other great small lighter and cheaper lenses for the FX30

You can put it on a boom, usually do, the point was having the mic to begin wifh

The fx3 is great! Just financially out of reach for a ton of people, I have the a7iv and it’s done me dirty on set more than once overhearing ahah
