Wow.... what a great video. You can tell by just looking at it that it's well made, and in your hands it was just pumping out the paint and laying it down like glass. Always fun to watch a quality tool being used at the hands of a highly talented professional.
THis is so satisfying to watch. Fancy painting my youtube project car?
Thanks Tony
Only just Found this channel and love it.
Newbie painter here and wanting to Spray Aluminium Canopy for ute i have stripped back to bare and sanded. Could someone possibly give some advice to 2K paint in going a Satin Black. Ie primer base and clear coat.
Hi Tony, it was great to see another video last night and it seemed like there was quite a few on the live chat, I really enjoyed it mate but it went really quickly👍
Great review on the Fuji MP-V8 1.2, I got mine about a week ago and have been using it on all my clearcoat work ever since, as you know I've got quite a few clearcoat guns and never gave any of them a second thought when using this gun, you know how it is when you are doing some clear work and you think oh I should have used my Sata X5500 or my WS400 but with the Fuji I never thought that as I felt right at home with it after picking it up👏👌
So far I've used it on the Kapci 6030 HS and the 6050 UHS, the Multi-Mix1 MS and Multi-Mix2 HS and the Final Systems Ultimate HS and had zero issues with any of them.
Video's like yours will hopefully stop some of the haters that are slagging the gun off in certain FB groups saying it looks cheap and it's a load of crap plus it's over priced, the stupid thing is they are saying this without even having the gun in their hands so were judging it just from a picture🙄🤦♂🤠 they are just talking💩💩🤣
ive noticed you smashing out so awesome work with it mate and no comment on the second half lol
Awaiting for your honest review mate 😁
Hope you like it!
This should be an interesting review Tony, as you know I've just got one of these guns and love it👌👌
i know you do john and awesome work your doing with it
Awesome Tony, I missed something. What was the setup for clearcoat? And dies thus compare to Kiwami at all?
Cheers.
Vinny
There are really few good spray guns out there that not too many people know about. I am using C.A. Technology X-cat gun. U S. Made,(bought out by Wagner) and it works really good for my applications (not automotive). Really nice but not too many people know about it.
Not a big fan of guns that pour the paint on but that Fuji gun isn’t to bad I must say👍🏽 love the finish tony 👌🏾
What pressure do you spray with on the regulator, with this gun and kapci 6030?
nice!!
Tony I need your opinion. If money was no object what kind of base gun would you buy? Myself I'm torn between the Walcom hte and the dv1.
Hope your OK mate, flipped back on your channel and saw you haven't posted for a month.
Fuji MP-V8 or Sagola trophy truck dvr Titania pro ? ...as base/clear coat gun. What do you prefer ?
I've been looking at these guns for a while and this video has finally persauded me to by one . i've not bougtht a new gun for year so why not treat myself 😄also got a few big jobs ie Range Rover etc . Thought the 1.2 clearcoat will suit my needs hope it performs . Cheers Tony 👍👍
It does mate there a good gun for the money huge fan and great potential as a brand once people get them in there hands mate
@@TonysRefinishingTV Thanks for the reply , i'll give it try with the kapci 6050 clear that should be a tester for it i think and see how it atomises UHS clear. Have a good week 👍.
@@jimmypratt6450what’s the difference between 6030 and 6050?
@@matthewwoolf8039 The 6050 is a much better clearcoat ie cleaner in transparancey and easy to cut and polish after a full curing time . No disrespect if you know you know . Try it its expensive but great results .👍
Do you happen to know the air consumption? If not I'll look it up you laid down a beautiful finish.
100% not sure mate I’m afraid it can’t be as bad as the ws though I know that as it works a lot better with my airfed setup
Hi mate can I ask you what the best gun for you?
There is nothing quite like laying down a nice coat of clear and standing back and thinking, you know what, that looks bloody good. How is it compared to a w400
that is true
What is the difference between 6030 and 6050? What’s better in terms of gloss, clearness, uv protection, flow, polishibility? How are they different?
Hi Tony… a bit of subject but just wondering what sort of set up needed to cross over from Rattle can jobs to using a Gun off a compressor? I’m just a guy in a shed, doing the odd panel at a time, getting a decent job off of cans, however would like to make a leap. What sort of set up you think ideal, compressor size, gun type etc? Any advise would be much appreciated.
Loving the videos btw 👍
My advice would be go for a Walcom 190 ego its a great little gun with a wide fan pattern and nice trigger action . Also you won't need a large compressor. Good luck👍
a little starter kit liek this would be ideal then add a decent gun on mate gtair.co.uk/air-compressor-kits/18-burisch-da-sander-kit-90-litre-belt-drive-3hp-air-compressor-bt-390t.html
It was great, my friend, thank you. Your spray gun is great. My spray gun is from Sata and Astra brand, made in Italy. What do you think about Sata and Astra brand?👍👍👍👏👏👏
sata is a great brand mate love there stuff not heard of the other
@@TonysRefinishingTVTherefore, Sata is a good brand. What is Astra brand? It is also made in Italy. I use it a lot, but it is small. I use it for shading
I do like the iwata
me too mate but were looking at price here too
@@TonysRefinishingTV I used to use the old Clark guns 40 quid a pop get a few jobs out of a gun I gave up the garage do miss it
Another great video.
The gun looks like it throws the paint out
it does mate lovely gun for repaints in the 1.3 and great for everything in a 1.2
Would you consider this as a suitable gun for both clear, flat/metalic bases ? Occasional jobber so don't have a ton of cash for lots of different guns. TIA!
Yes 100% mate I’ve used this for everything just obv drop the pressure a tad on the metallics mate but bar that it will do as a one for all gun very much so
@@TonysRefinishingTV hero thanks for the feedback !
No problem at all mate enjoy
Not sure I'm sold on the price. I would rather buy a iwata ws400 for less money and have the backing of a reputable manufacturer.
WS-400 costs more and will be going up to close to £450 per Spray Gun this month. Whereas the FUJI V8 SERIES, with discount come out at £405. Also, FUJI are very well known across the globe for over 30 years.
il be honest mate these are very good i get no gain from saying that and its not just the brand but also the supplier in this case sp who are absolutely spot on with support
Could you spray a car with one of them Q5 turbine system, would it be any good ,what do you think mate
its not something id like to try fella tbh
@@TonysRefinishingTV just wondered, nice work dude
since when is +/- 500€/$ mid priced? I grabbed my Prolite for 250€ back in the day, a sagola 3300 Car for 200€ last week. Both with 20% sales tax and in brick&mortar locally.
UK and US market is a totally different ball game to Europe. Granted it's high end mid priced due to the fact Devilbiss, SATA and Iwata all have guns over £600. This now puts a £300-£400 Spray gun in the mid priced bracket. Prices increase 2-4 times per year now and importing spray guns just got a LOT more expensive thanks to Brexit, covid and general inflation.
@@davemaffitt1095 Yeah well it was just yesterday when the Prolite was Devilbiss top of the line offer and in the states they were going for like 289$ with if I remember correct, 2 fluid tips and 2 air caps included. Progress can be a bitch.
