Teenage boy with unusual birthday request surprised for Feel Good Friday

EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
We received an email a few weeks ago about a teenage boy in Rexburg who did something unusual for his 14th birthday party. The message said:
I would like to nominate Isaac and his 12 friends. For Isaac’s 14th birthday party, he asked his buddies to bring a donation of $5 or more instead of a birthday gift for him. For the party, they went together to Walmart, pooled their money together, and bought gifts for the Ronald McDonald House and delivered them to the facility in Idaho Falls.
Thirteen boys came to the party and most donated well over $5. It was such a great sight to see these boys do an act of service together instead of the typical birthday fun and opening presents. Apparently, a large group of teen boys doing good is not a usual sight to see at Walmart. While they were going up and down the toy alleys, filling our grocery cart, several Walmart employees thought they were up to no good…They didn’t believe that a group of 13 13/14-year-old boys were at their store to buy gifts for less fortunate children.
I think this group of boys would be great to highlight to show others that most teenage boys have really good hearts.
We thought Isaac would be the perfect person to surprise for Feel Good Friday and visited him during his English class. Check out the video in the player above!

That kids parents are raising him, CORRECTLY! RESPECT young man! And to EVERY single one of his friends who respected his wish! You 15-20 just changed a whole mess of people. See how this works, folks!?!
What a great story! At 14, to be so unselfish and kind. This young man's parents have done a wonderful job instilling such a love of giving and caring. And all of his friends who were willing to participate with him are also amazing. They are each one a great example for their peers and such a blessing to their community. God bless them.

Any time older people say negative things about younger generations I just point them to stories like this. It's so cliché to criticize younger folks but nearly everyone ends up doing it, when they should be celebrating what kids are doing right. I love that Nate and EIN keep their focus on the _positive_.

What a fun idea! It's more fun to buy toys than to get them, especially when you are into the teen years. The children at the Ronald McDonald house will be happy, too. The young men would know all the "cool" toys!

This happens all the time, we went to birthday parties where the kid would request donations instead such as canned goods, clothing, etc, to give to a shelter

I want to share Supernatural Powerful Healing that Jesus did when I was 1 and half years old:
I had 5 more minutes to live. My grandmother was looking for me all night in the hospital and found me dying on the table, she told me. Then 5 minutes before I died, my grandmother said that she saw Jesus come into the surgery room where I was dying and took away the damaged organs and the new organs that Jesus was holding in his hand.
Jesus healed me completely. My Grandmother couldn't even look at Jesus with so much Light that came from the presence of Jesus.
I thank Jesus giving me new life by giving me new organs. Amen
