I just had your 2 & 1/2 inch front leveling kit installed on my 2014 Ram 1500 and I absolutely love it ! my friend went with me to pick up my truck from the mechanic and right off the start, he could tell the difference, now he wants to buy the same kit.
Can you tell me what brand tires your using on the video truck? Also I'd like to get that same exact look as the one in the video but I want to use my factory 20" chrome clad wheels. Is that possible and the comments below seem to conflict, are the tires in the video 33 x 12.5 or are they 35 12.5?
I have a brand new 2018 Ram 1500 funny it doesn't have coil Springs it has shock with coilovers and I went with motofab leveling kit used them on my Jeep and they're the best way to go the best on the market
Our struts do not come with the coil spring. You reuse the factory coil spring from the stock coil over. That is what the reference to retaining the stock coil means. After all it is referred to as a "coil" over.
We set all tire suggestions to be the largest tire and wheel combo that can fit without rubbing. Larger tires may be used with different modifications like cutting, trimming, or spacing. Please note, using larger than suggested tire sizes may result in some rubbing.
This kit will not void your factory warranty. Better still, if an issue does arrive, we have a warranty guard that protects you. Find out more about it here under Warranty Guard: www.roughcountry.com/warranty/
Hi, I have a 2017 Ram Big Horn rwd. I love the truck in the video and want mine to look just like it. Ready to order the leveling kit but had a few queationa about the truck in the video......Can you please tell me 1) What kind of tires are those? 2) What size tires? 3) what size rims and what is the offset of the rims? Thanks guys! Looking forward to your response:)
Hi, I have a 2014 Ram Quad cab. Big Horn 4x4; I'd like to run a set of 35x12.50's on the stock rims; Will this leveling kit work for that? If not, What will work so that it doesn't rub AT ALL? Thanks Guys.
someone asked if this would void their warranty and that is a definite yes according to the dealership where I bought mine unless they install it themselves and use what they recommend and you're going to pay out the but when you let the dealership do it
In most after-market parts installed yes it will void the warranty however if you bought the parts from the dealership and they installed it then no it wouldn't void the warranty
With fixing theses levelling kit , will I maintain the normal smooth ride ? Or as I heard the ride will get little bit tougher especially off road ride !!
Just remember if you do level your truck, you are taking in this case 2.5” of spring compression. So your truck WILL feel really jumpy and and trying to take a curve at highway speed will be scary
I have a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 and I just ordered the kit. I was looking at the instructions and couldn't exactly understand what to do. Where does the spacer go and what is the shim for?
Hi, I am interested in replicating this look with your 2.5" lift kit. Can you please tell me the specific model and size of rim? I am not having any luck whatsoever finding this online based on the data provided above, 20 in XD-Series Crank Wheels. Every website I check tells me this rim will not fit my truck. Thank you!
Hello, I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4. I was thinking of putting the 2.5 front leveling kit and possibly the 1.25 body lift. I am still under the factory warranty and bought a lifetime powertrain warranty. Can I do this without voiding any of my warranties.
I have a limited garage door height and my 2015 Ram fits ok now...wondering if this level kit would raise the cab so much that it would not fit anymore
I haven't moved forward as of yet as mine is a lease. I have a year yet on the lease and have not determined if I want to buy outright. I like the truck but curious what is on the horizon. Really don't need a 1/2 ton but the Ram got the best MPG. I do think the truck would really look nice if i did level it though. Just dont want to have it sit outside all winter.
www.roughcountry.com/suspension-lift-kits/dodge-suspension-lift-kits.html?vehicle_drive=4&vehicle_model=263&vehicle_year=61 This is what we offer for the 2WD models
I bought a leveling kit from rough country that included both front and rear coil spaces, at the time of purchase, I was told that I could run 35" tires...now that I'm ready to buy tires and rims, I see this video and says I can't run 35's. What happen?
I run a 275/65/20 with no rubbing issues at all...even full turn. I understand you want the width but will need a negative offset for that not able to use factory wheels.
This is the exact wheel/tire-size combo I've been looking for. I have a 2015 Ram 1500 crew cab 4x2 with a hemi. Will your product fit my truck? Also, as you're running 35 x 12.50s on the truck in the video, what modifications did you make to that truck to get those tires to fit without rubbing? The proportions look perfect without looking overdone. I'd appreciate answers to any of these questions, as well as a referral to an expert installer in my area (Melbourne, Florida), if there is one. Thanks!
This kit will not fit a 2wd truck, but our leveling springs will www.roughcountry.com/dodge-leveling-coils-9232.html. You can use our dealer locator www.roughcountry.com/dealer-locator/ to find an authorized Rough Country dealer you can buy your kit from and/or have it installed. Trimming may be required to run 35's on your truck. What tire manufacture and model you chose will determine how much for not all 35's are created equal and actually measure in at different sizes.
Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately, the links you provided didn't work (error 404 - page not found), but I searched around your website for the things you mentioned and eventually found them. I assume those larger coils will work with the factory shocks? Or do you usually recommend replacing the shocks? It's my first time looking at suspension upgrades to my truck and I'm not sure what would or would not improve the ride quality (kind of wallows and jounces a bit with the factory stuff). Thanks again!
Sorry about that. Happy to hear you found the pages I mentioned anyway. It appears the parentheses got included in the link thus breaking the link. I've fixed the links in that comment for anyone else that reads it and just in case, here they are a again without the parentheses. www.roughcountry.com/dodge-leveling-coils-9232.html www.roughcountry.com/dealer-locator/ Installing new shocks isn't necessary. The larger coils will work indeed with the factory shocks. Upgrading the shocks can always improve ride quality depending on which shocks you go with. Our N3 shocks for example are balanced for fantastic blend of off-road action and smooth highway ride quality, but upgrading the shocks isn't really a necessity just to level the front and fit larger tires. Leveling a truck doesn't make that much of a difference in ride quality so if you're unhappy with your truck's stock ride quality, you may want to address that first. Our coil kit is designed to maintain the factory ride while giving enough lift to run larger tires.
Why did the kit I purchased come with a 3/4" block for the rear also. The local dealer did not inform me of this "rear" block that was part of the kit until I returned to pick the truck up. This 2.5" Rough Country is what was installed. The add says up to 33" tires and 12.5" wide. Are you saying that can be achieved with factory offset wheels or will $1200 need to be spend on negative offset wheels alone before the tires. I want to put a 285/60/20 on my 2.5" Rough Country lifted Ram without any issues or rubbing. Is this feasible with a +18 offset factory Ram Sport wheel???
The 285/60-20 will be a little bit taller than what is required. 285/55-20 with the -12 offset is what I would recommend. That +18 will be a little too deep of a wheel for that setup.
That is not what I asked. I currently am running a 275/65/20 that is 1/2" TALLER than the 285/60/20 on a +1 offset wheel. No way I need a -12 offset for a 285. Why wasn't my question answered on the rear 3/4" blocks I asked about. Was the dealer just increasing the bill for me??? They told me that is how the kit comes and this video just proves otherwise that the fronts can be bought without the rears for 1/2 the price. I am not looking to run 12.5" wide. you video says 33 x 12.5 but does not mention any offset....misleading

on this particular truck in the video did you do any trimming to get 35 on it because a 275 70 20 isn't much different than a 33 1250 and if I bought 33 1250 I don't believe I would be satisfied any comments would be helpful
I have 33 inch tires by 12:50 on a stock Ram. They don't rub or touch anything at stock height. You don't need to raise it to fit them. If you want 35 then a 2-in lift will be enough.
+judgedredd781 None whatsoever for the leveling kit. Of course the ball joint angle will change slightly but will not have any adverse effect on the factory components
This kit is just the same as the 09 model except the bolt pattern on the strut is different. We do not have an install video on this one. Just the install instructions.
This vehicle has a front strut not a front shock. This kit is designed to retain the stock strut and add the additional pieces to the factory strut to achieve the 2.5" of lift and level on the front.
With the pre load the ride quality will be a little stiffer than stock ride quality but that is expected with a pre load setup. The geometry however is retained to optimal angles.
@@leemats2572 I mean, depending on where you live, the question could easily be "why spend thousands of more dollars on a feature that you may never/rarely use all while getting worse gas mileage?"
I bought this kit but haven’t installed it yet! I keep hearing horror stories about the spacer leveling kit! I hear it messes up the ride, cv’s. I want it in the truck but I don’t want to mess my truck up!
has any one had any negative experiences using this leveling kit. I want to do it im just afraid that it could mess something up. or even change the way the ride feels in a bad way... also what about the warranty, would it void it?
A 2.5-inch leveling kit does not change the stock suspension's geometry enough to result in an premature component ware or change the ride or handling. If you just installed the leveling kit, you would notice not difference at all. However, adding larger tires (generally, the reason you installing this kit), will effect handling and ride depending on what wheel/tire you go with.
I installed it. I wish I would have went with the Bilsteen 5100 shock/strut option. They are adjustable and keeps all suspension in factory positioning. This RC level is not level and IS a rougher ride...front end wants to washboard over minor bumps and stuff. Seems a bit stiffer. Tires are same 275 as factory but I did go with the 65 profile which is 1" overall diameter taller. I have heard too the ball joints will have problems on max articulation if you are in terrain that extends the suspension. Look into the Bilsteens
Hey Keith...just looking through some of these videos for a leveling kit and saw your comment here. I have a 2015 2wd Hemi completely stock. I have the chrome factory 20" wheels and i'm running a 33x12.5x20 Toyo Open Country M/T and absolutely love it. No clearance issues whatsoever. Full steering with zero issues. Just thought id let you know.
I replaced mine just to be safe read too many reviews where ball joints were popping out and didn't want to take a chance . replacing the upper a arm is the easiest part of doing this lift the spacers are a pain in the butt if you're doing this by yourself
We don't do total height due to it varying with different size tires and tire pressure. We only measure before and after ride height from center of the wheel to the fender
Go Bilsteen 5100 adjustable shocks. NOBODY informed me of the benefits of the Bilsteen's over the "level" kit. Better ride quality, no issues maxing out suspension components. Keeps shock at factory angle without the lift spacers. At least check it out.
jose rosas I, myself would not do a Rough Country 2.5" level again. My nephew did the Bilsteen's per my recommendation and so far is happy. He has a 16 RAM though. I would recommend inquiring heavily on the Bilsteen option before committing to something else first. GOOD luck.
If you are not offroading, then most any level will do the job. I believe the Bilsteen offers the best bang for buck without sacrificing factory ride quality/feel.
+E. Tucker I'm not sure if we have any plans to develop a leveling kit for newer 2WD RAM's, but I'll pass the request on to R&D. If they get enough requests and there is a healthy demand for it, it is likely we'll develop a kit.
E Tucker...check out the Bilsteen 5100 adj. shock. that should lift your frint end some without hindering susprnsiin any while maintaining comfy factory rixe feel
Once installed and properly torqued you shouldn't ever experience any popping noises. Popping noise would be coming from the ball joints, tie rods or sway bar links.
I just had your 2 & 1/2 inch front leveling kit installed on my 2014 Ram 1500 and I absolutely love it ! my friend went with me to pick up my truck from the mechanic and right off the start, he could tell the difference, now he wants to buy the same kit.
did you notice a difference in handling?
Ryan Williams my friend did it and I drove his truck before and after it rode the exact same
How much did it cost you total
the truck looks great, what exactly are the size of those tires you have on that truck ?
that truck looks sharp! like a baby hd ram
Why is there a 2 inch level kit then also a 2.5 kit?
Help me understand the difference between a 2011 ram and the 2012 to make this kit not work on the 11?
It can fit UP TO 33 inch tires? New flash !...the truck comes with 33 inch tires from the factory
It comes with a 33x10.50 from the factory. Our leveling kit allows for a 33x12.50.
Mike D I don't understand this mine is a four-wheel drive it came with 265 70 17 they're only 31 in
Went straight to the website and you don’t have a front leveling kit for Ram v6 or eco diesel? Ram 1500 classic crew cab 2wd eco diesel is my ride
Cv shaft angle is the main problem with leveling, 4x4 vibration, binding and failure can occur. What is the latest on the cv shaft angle limits?
The drive shaft angle should stay at optimum angles unless you have a special edition or a lifted strut already installed on the truck.
Rough Country sorry I mean the cv joint angles to the front wheels, they are at higher angles after level.
Chris James don't forget the ball joints that pop when you hit a bump sometimes just driving alone you have to change the upper a arm
We'll put in a 2" leveling kit in a 2013 Dodge 4013 Dodge make it ride rough will the swayboard be in too much tension costly
That is a Nitto Trail Grappler and a 20" wheel will work on that kit.
33x12.50-20

What kind of plastic are the spacers made out of? Is there any glass fill in it? Is there a warranty on this kit?
Would doing this level kit allow fitment of 24inch rims with 35s without rubbing?
How come when I screen shot the truck and zoom in on the tire it says 35x12.50 r20 and not 33?
We set all tire suggestions to be the largest tire and wheel combo that can fit without rubbing. Larger tires may be used with different modifications like cutting, trimming, or spacing. Please note, using larger than suggested tire sizes may result in some rubbing.
Will this void the trucks warranty?
Just to clarify, the tires on the truck in this video are indeed 35x12.50R20?

Is this a good setup for dirt roads?
I had this kit on my 2012 for 60k miles with no problems. Dirt roads, rough terrain, back country, mountain etc. Fullfilled its duty

Yes. 275/60-20 will work on this make and model with this kit installed

What kind and size tires are they
what's the biggest size tire that will fit on this ram woth 20 inch rims? I have 34s on mine now but would like to go up to 35x12.50 on 20s.
305/55-20 or 33x12.50 is the biggest tire we recommend on this particular kit

If i put my 35x12.50 w/t 20x12 rims on my 2009 dodge ram will the 2.5 inch level be enough for them to fit, let alone not rub?
+Marc Rosset it is not recommended to run anything bigger than a 33x12.50 with that kit. You will more than likely experience rubbing with a 35x12.50
Ok thanks for getting back to me! i kind of figured it would be cutting it close.
I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Laramie 2WD and want to level it with but your website only offers 4WD leveling kits. Will it work with my truck or not?
No it will not. We do not offer anything for that make and model in the 2WD
Rough Country Will you eventually make leveling kits for 2WD RAM 1500?
Cris Ibarra did you find anything that fits a 2wd?
Will the front shocks have to be changed as well due to the -2.5 change?
This vehicle has a front strut not a front shock. This kit is designed to retain the stock strut and add the additional pieces to the factory strut to achieve the 2.5" of lift and level on the front.
I have a stock lonestar edition2016, it’s not 4x4, is there anything else I’ll need?
This is for the 4WD option only.
have you had any problems with the upper balljoints falling out? I have heard this can be an issue.
+Zachary Russ No problems out of ball joints at all. I personally have not had any complaints on the ball joints on this kit.
you will
Anyone know this wheel and tire set up
What Wheels are those.
I have a 2017 ram express do u think I would need longer shock with this or no??
No you would retain the stock shocks.
Does the truck in the video have aftermarket fender flares or are they stock?
+tom Stock fender flares
Do you have an level kits that make the front end flush with the rear? & What size would it be.
www.roughcountry.com/dodge-front-leveling-lift-kit-363.html
This kit is for the front only to level the front with the stock rear ride height.
Since this kit is actually changing the preload of the strut spring will it affect the ride? Also what about ball joint damage and CV axle damage?
With the pre load the ride quality will be a little stiffer than stock ride quality but that is expected with a pre load setup. The geometry however is retained to optimal angles.
then why do you guys recommend having the front end realigned
@@popwall4297 ……..and still no answer
@Pop Wall any time you mess with the suspension on any vehicle no matter what is done to it you will have to get alignment done
Will you eventually make leveling kits for 2WD RAM 1500
We eventually will release a 2WD kit for the Dodge but at the moment we do not have an ETA on an arrival date.
Appreciate the reply man.
Why would you own a 2wheel drive truck to begin with?
@@leemats2572 I mean, depending on where you live, the question could easily be "why spend thousands of more dollars on a feature that you may never/rarely use all while getting worse gas mileage?"
@@henryholub3571 No, I don't think that's it. Plus late model 4x4 vs 2wd list the exact same mileage on the sticker.
can I use this on a 2 wheel drive Ram truck
No. We don't offer any kits for the newer model 2WD Dodge vehicles. Only the 4WD
dezmond roman just get a maxtrac 7in lift for your 2wd that's what I did
Why not?
do you have a installation video of this product
We do not. You might be able to find one on RUclips.
How big of a lift would I need to get to run 35x12.5 tires?
On this particular vehicle you would need to run a 4" kit to fit a 35x12.50
Paul Trudeau you can run 35's on this level. I run 33's stock with no rubbing
I bought this kit but haven’t installed it yet! I keep hearing horror stories about the spacer leveling kit! I hear it messes up the ride, cv’s. I want it in the truck but I don’t want to mess my truck up!
I run 35s with this kit you will need a 1/4” spacer for the fronts if you have stock rims.
Do you know how much higher the rear is on a 2005 Tundra? I'm looking at a 3" leveling kit, but I'm unsure if I'll need suspension blocks or not.
That vehicle has a 2" difference from stock between the front and rear ride heights.
Rough Country thank you
Rough Country even if it is a 2wd model?
has any one had any negative experiences using this leveling kit. I want to do it im just afraid that it could mess something up. or even change the way the ride feels in a bad way... also what about the warranty, would it void it?
+Carlos Rodriguez I haven't used it yet but have heard of people having problems with the ball joints falling out.
would rough country care to comment on this issue?
Look into the Bilsteens
also my truck is a 2014.2WD would it work on my truck?
+Carlos Rodriguez We do not offer this kit for the 2WD
Whats the tires and wheels specs on this truck??? Pleas3 somebody can help me thanks in advance
20-inch KMC XD-Series Crank Wheels
33x12.50 Nitto Trail Grappler Tires
I run 33/12.50 20s on my dodge with factory setup.i don't have no leveling kit .
What brand/type do you have?
im riding the same stock suspension with 33/12.5 en 20" tire brand im using discovery cooper.
looking foward to buy this kit.
Hey Mkk BLV!! You said you are running 12.5 wides? What rims are you using? factory or aftermarkets? Do you know the offset by chance. Thanks!
???
Hey Keith...just looking through some of these videos for a leveling kit and saw your comment here. I have a 2015 2wd Hemi completely stock. I have the chrome factory 20" wheels and i'm running a 33x12.5x20 Toyo Open Country M/T and absolutely love it. No clearance issues whatsoever. Full steering with zero issues. Just thought id let you know.
on yalls website it says it won't fit the outdoorsman or try model
It won't fit TRX models or any models with factory air ride suspension.
Will 20x10 fit this?
Yes. 20x10 will work just fine on this kit.
Will this work on ram 1500 slt crew cab 4wd 2017 with v6 engine?
Yes it will fit that make and model.
Do you have to replace the factory upper control arms if you install the leveling kit?
Sorry no we do not. We do not offer any stock OEM replacement parts.
👌🏽
I would definitely replace them. I just bought my leveling kit and new UCAs.
I replaced mine just to be safe read too many reviews where ball joints were popping out and didn't want to take a chance . replacing the upper a arm is the easiest part of doing this lift the spacers are a pain in the butt if you're doing this by yourself
Is that a two wheel or four wheel drive truck. You fail to say
That is the 4WD truck.
Rough Country do you offer one for a 2017 two wheel drive?
Will this work on a 1500 Rebel? Would really appreciate an answer. Thanks!
This will not work on the Rebel edition due to bolt pattern being different on the strut.
I'm sorry to hear that. Will you guys do something similar for Rebel?. Thanks for answerig and great kit.
Isn't the Rebel already leveled compared to a factory 4x4 Ram?
Keith Castleberry It is, but not very much.
With the leveling kit and the tires you have on this truck what is the total height?
We don't do total height due to it varying with different size tires and tire pressure. We only measure before and after ride height from center of the wheel to the fender
Does it impact the ride quality at all?
This will maintain stock ride quality
Will this kit work with factory length shocks? or do you need buy bigger by 2.5"?
You can retain the factory shocks on this kit
Go Bilsteen 5100 adjustable shocks. NOBODY informed me of the benefits of the Bilsteen's over the "level" kit. Better ride quality, no issues maxing out suspension components. Keeps shock at factory angle without the lift spacers. At least check it out.
Keith Castleberry So you recommend the Bilstein 5100 shocks over a leveling kit? I'm looking best looking on a 05 Dodge Ram 1500.
jose rosas I, myself would not do a Rough Country 2.5" level again.
What brand wheels are on the truck in this video?
20-inch KMC XD-Series Crank Wheels
What size
what are the dimensions of the wheels in the video?
20-inch KMC XD-Series Crank Wheels
20X9 with 0 MM offset.
Any install videos?
No just the install instructions that come with the kit.
What is the rim width and offset on this truck?
+Brandon Deehan 9" wide wheel. 5.5 backspacing +12 offset
+Rough Country would you expect rubbing if I went to a 10" wide rim with the same offset/backs pacing?
What tire size is on the truck shown
+xXPARKER15Xx 33x12.50/18
Can this fit on 2wd ram crew cab 1500?
No this is specific to the 4WD model only.
@@RoughCountryTV do you have something for 2wd
Will this work for 2WD as well?
+E. Tucker No it will not. We do not offer anything for the 2WD in that year model.
+Rough Country Understood. Will y'all eventually offer a leveling kit for the newer 2WD models?
They don't reply on second questions. They just like to give simple minor details that only answer part of your FIRST question
What exact tire size are on that truck???
33x12.50 tire
Ken M 35's
will this fit the ecodiesel
Yes this will fit the ecodiesel
That was an EcoDiesel in the video ding dong
What tires are those ?
Fore sure Nitto looks like the NITTO Ridge Grappler but the Trail Grappler is almost the same
What Wheels are on the 1500?
+Clinton Spencer XD Chrome Crank
Would it fit 22x14s?
As long as the wheels have a 0 offset on them you will be fine.
After age, these spacers wear and pop and make noises when cutting the wheels real steep , I won’t buy spacers again
Once installed and properly torqued you shouldn't ever experience any popping noises. Popping noise would be coming from the ball joints, tie rods or sway bar links.
you can only run up to 33" tires?
Yes 33X12.50 id the recommended tire size for this lift.
This ram for sale?
No it is not for sale. It is a customers vehicle that we used for the shoot a few years back.
Don’t buy rough country

What exact tire size are on that truck???
Would 3.5” leveling kit be too much for a 2018 Laramie eco diesel? Front only....
No that would not be too much on that vehicle as long as it is properly installed and aligned.
Do you offer a kit in that size?
on yalls website it says it won't fit the outdoorsman or try model
It won't fit TRX models or any models with factory air ride suspension.
What wheel brand is that?
20" KMC XD Series Crank Wheels
