Did this set up work out in the long run? I have a 2016 Sport with air suspension and it looks to not have much room between the control arm and the sidewall. How much space did you have once you changed to the larger tires?
Take it off-road, rough inclines while turning, you’ll see! 265/70R17 measures 31.7x10.7”, and with factory wheel travel maxed during full turn, they clear the plastic wells by one inch. .. go wider? Then must go less overall diameter less than 32.6 maxed out full stock travel turning. .. the rear tires won’t be such an issue. But those fronts WILL RUB!
Going to increase by 1 inch overall diameter, and width, but I’m changing the rims from stock 8” width to 9”, back spacing 4.25”, and Offset -19mm. (FYI) negative offsets are subtracted from inset, meaning they go further out. 19mm (approx 3/4”) plus the 1/4” backspace will give me the full inch to keep travel the same. With these rims I could push it a little further as all clearance are divided in half, (tire increases all directions) But only by another tire size up without fronts rubbing under extreme travel.

Ok. Since nobody could answer my question I went to discount tire and they ordered one tire for me and put it on my 2017 limited with air suspension. 285 65/R20. Tire does fit. Lowered to exit/entry mode it doesn’t fit it makes solid contact with plastic by drivers door. No worries. 34.5 tall and 11.5 wide compared to 33 tall and 11 wide is a pretty decent difference compared to stock. You can tell the truck is up higher getting in and out of it or even standing beside it. A 305 at this height would definitely rub, I run 305/40/22's on my summer rims and they fit just fine but anything over stock height and they'd rub.

What kind of rain guards are those? I bought the in channel AVS ones but they did not work well at all.
What's the tires cost and what's your ground clearance now
Thank you for this video. Stupid question but wondering if I get this exact set up you have when it comes to using spare is there an issue with being different sizes?
+Justbrowsin Not a stupid question at all. It's definitely best to have a matching size spare, if you have the anti spin diff you could damage it running 2 different size tires.
604MotoVlogs Thank you
Ive got 2004 dodge ram 1500 stock...currently have 285 60 20.....i want 285 65 20...do u think will be ok as your newer year ram?

Same question
So 34x12.5 is a no go?
Do they poke?
I have a stock 2017 ram 1500 with fender flares and stock 17inch wheels. I am looking to buy oem 20inch wheels would I have to mess with any of the suspensions or anything like that???
So, I have a question. I have a 2014 Ram 1500. I bought it preowned with 325/60/20's The front end doesn't appear to be leveled with the back.. but my tires fit fine in the wheel well.
My question is, is this for possible for a stock truck? (Maybe sounds like a dumb question but im female and although somewhat mechanically inclined, not knowledgeable in this area) Also, does anyone know the difference in inches between the front and rear? I'm considering a 3" lift. Thanks.
Will 33 /12.5 r 20 for on stock
I have 35x12.50r18 on my 19 ram classic 4x4 with no lift. Rubs a little on full turn
Thanks def doing this
Should have specified "the tallest tire"** on a stock. I came looking for the widest*
Good lookin truck tho
I got a 2017 Ram 1500 Sport with the stock 22" rims.. I'm looking to put A/T tires on it.. right now I have 285/45/R22 .. would you think I can put 285/55/r22? or might cut it too close without adding any kits?
What tires did you end up getting ?
Does anybody know if I could fit 33x12.50r 20 on my 2010 ram stock?
Useful video
Level it 2 inches and its sweet
Very helpful thank you
Thanks i was wanting 285 55 20.
Robert Jackson how did the 285 55 20 work for you?, I was looking into that size
@@jmont4102 did you end up going with that size? I have an opportunity to get that size for a great deal, but it's a half inch shorter total that my stock size and I'm hesitant to do that.
@@BRINCE-ni4jq I did man love the look, when I compared it to my original tires it was just about half inch taller not shorter.
@@jmont4102 just curious...was your stock size 275/60/r20? That's what mine are and when I did the online tire comparison it showed the 285/55/r20s about 1/2 inch shorter. I may have to check it again. Its possible I messed up the numbers when I filled the blanks. Thanks!!
@@BRINCE-ni4jq no stock 265 70 17
I would expect these tires to rub going down hill off road when the brakes are compressed. and the wheel is turned in or outward.
They don't
