    Thought for sure this video would be about the stock upper ball joint not being able to stay put with the lift and needing aftermarket UCA’s. You can see the upper joint move in the UCA when it was knocked free from the spindle. It was still crooked put back together later. That thing will creak rocking back and forth and eventually push through the stock UCA. Spacer lifts are fine. Stock Ram UCA’s with any lift is no bueno.

      So if I am considering installing a 2in level kit ( either spacer or a spring) should I also get new UCA's?

    2017 Ram 1500, install motofob 2.5" leveling kit in the front. Have any problem or issue at all. 3 yrs until now with any problem. I don't even due the alignment in 3 yrs and my tires thread is even. Now Im going to switch bigger tires and Im going to replace my control arms, and some others parts in my front suspension, but overall everything is working perfect.

      You probably didn't have any issues because you didn't have larger/heavier tires. Once you have those on, the front end of the truck will have a lot more strain with the extra weight added. Definitely upgrade UCA's and other suspension components if needed

    I put the Eibach kit on my truck and they said to install the height ring at the second groove from the bottom of the shock. You're not even suppose to use the 5th groove. My truck is 1 inch lower in the front than the back. I would recommend the 3rd groove for a dead level ride.

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  2 года назад +1

      We haven’t but that’s very common, usually after you fool with suspension parts even if torqued you’ll have to adjust them roughly 1000 miles later. It’s just breaking in the product and the screws back out a tad bit. I suggest when you retighten them to put on some blue thread locker just as another precaution!

    how truck feels on larger bumps ?
    becuase i put 35 x12.5 with this kit with original spring and when i hit bumps at higher speed the truck wants to go side ways like the rebound is slow for a bit.

    • @RatchetWrenches
      @RatchetWrenches  2 года назад +1

      I'm not sure but I would imagine if you lower the rear to the ride height in the front it would be ok. The main reason leveling the front causes more wear overtime is because the front suspension is strained from being up higher with the heavy engine and it changes the geometry and driving angles of everything
