Black and white Brother laser printers are great for beginners if you dont have the money for a rollo. The toner that it comes with will be able to print roughly 1200 labels which should last 3 years for a small time ebayer if they do 400 orders a year.
I just sold a 70's vintage coat for $60. I bought this coat for .50 on Christmas Eve at Salvation Army Thrift. I frequently find these vintage coats that sell well and quickly. I think I find these often because I live up north. Like I messaged you before I do not find the good vintage tees often like you guys do.

Great price on the fence. The wood fence with the wire fence behind it is the best way to go. MAKE SURE you put a metal cap on top of the wood fence posts so they will last for years. You can get solar light fence post caps that are cool. The copper fence post caps are nice. Check it out at Lowes or Home Depot. The solar light caps automatically come on at night. You don’t have to get the solar light fence post caps. You can get regular fence post caps but I highly recommend you do. BTW. Love the red color.

Hey guys, you probably know this already, but the majority of shoes will fit in a padded flat rate envelope. Using that has saved me a TON of money! Obviously, boots and shoes bigger than a women's size 10 usually won't fit, but I try anyway!! :) Thanks for this video!!!!

I would be upset as a customer if I got a Package with clear wrap. There is no privacy, everyone can see what was ordered. I typically take a poly mailer cut it and wrap a large box. It protects the item and customer get there privacy protected.

Shipping is the one area of my eBay business that I think could be much more efficient. I spend too much time creating Franken-boxes for my items, when I could just spend a little money to have various sizes of boxes available to ship much faster.
I have no where near the amount of inventory as you, but your inventory in that state is more organized than mine. I can tell that I will have to organize much better as my inventory grows.

Didn’t see what lens you are talking about but more important than a lens cap is a UV or Skylight Filter that stays on all the time. You actually shoot through it so if it gets scratched, you spend another $10 and replace the filter instead of the lens AND your front lens element stays clean. You only clean the filter when needed. (Used to run a camera shop) 📸

Silly suggestion Ryan. To tighten up the plastic wrap, we hit it with a heatgun. Once around with the eBay tape, label and call it a day. It ensures nothing damp will get inside the box.

Have you had issues with fedex changing the prices on you? We noticed that with them charging monthly instead right when you print the label ( like usps) that fedex will quote 1 price then charge another price. If you haven’t noticed this it might be worth looking into
If you are shipping heavy shoes from florida to california are you most likely going to use FedEx Ground right. And if so do you guys use the same USPS shoe box and cover it, use a completely different box, or use a huge poly mail bag.

I learned so much from your videos and just had my first sale on ebay :) I do have a question - I charged the shipping to the buyer for my first sale ($10.90 for a pair of Nike's) but what if the shipping cost is actually less than what I charged them? Does ebay refund that automatically or do I need to take care of that? I wouldn't want the customer to see that they paid $10.90 for shipping and I only paid say $7 something. Received a Rollo thermal printer from my boss for Christmas and can't wait to put it to work. I have a question about shipping. I’m new to the reselling business and I’m sure like most everyone else the shipping is the hardest for me to learn or just get the hang of. When I’m trying to print my shipping label through eBay it says invalid state. I use the eBay app. Would that be the problem? But I have a wireless printer would that have anything to do with it. I just thought of this and wanted to share my idea...you know how there's a lot of porch pirates? Well I feel like if they saw those boxes they may want to steal them so instead of using clear wrap maybe you can buy black wrap to cover and protect the product? Idk just an idea I thought to share.... 🤗
Shipping is the most aggravating part of selling for me. I get the short end of the stick on most of the shipping costs, especially when FeeBay takes 10% on shipping, so you could never charge "actual" shipping. FeeBay also inflates the shipping savings. I've got an item that's 3.2 lb in the package at 15" x 14" x 7" and it's $14.88 through the post office. However. through ebay, it's $16.45 before so-called discount to $13.75. This item is going Florida to New York. The same item FL to Kentucky was $8.75. So, you can hardly predict shipping costs and unless it's under 16 oz, be prepared to pay high.
What are thoughts on trying to ship in the most "green" manner? I use recycled bubble wrap ($)- boxes reused from grocery store etc... But I do use a lot of new padded envelopes ... Do other folks have ideas on this?
If you're figuring out shipping when you post your item, do you weigh it and weigh the box or bag ur shipping it in? Also how do you know whether to do priority or first class!

Received a Rollo thermal printer from my boss for Christmas and can't wait to put it to work. I started small and slow while working my 9-5 law office job (and still working it) but now am within 2-3 years of retiring and expect reselling to subsidize my retirement income. Do FedEX allow shrink wrapped parcels? UPS charge a levy on shrinkwrapped parcels in the UK

And don't worry, I'm subscribed and leave a like every time :) One question I wanted to ask was, how much knowledge did you already have before getting into this reselling business? Did you have to learn a ton about the shirts, shoes, hats, and other items you are buying? I'm brand new to this type of stuff and don't know what I would be looking at if I got started in this type of business. But I do think it is something I would be interested in getting into! Please share more exactly about this topic and how the learner process is as a beginner.

I have a question about shipping. I’m new to the reselling business and I’m sure like most everyone else the shipping is the hardest for me to learn or just get the hang of. When I’m trying to print my shipping label through eBay it says invalid state. I use the eBay app. Would that be the problem? But I have a

Have you noticed that the "Economy" shipping option has disappeared from Ebay's shipping options? The only option for USPS is First Class or Priority.
I don't even get media as an option on actual media items! So irritating
I feel like Ebay is forcing us to only ship Priority or First class. Sometimes you need to ship Economy, like when shipping large items across the US.
fedex is typically going to be a cheaper option for those larger long distance items

I just thought of this and wanted to share my idea...you know how there's a lot of porch pirates? Well I feel like if they saw those boxes they may want to steal them so instead of using clear wrap maybe you can buy black wrap to cover and protect the product? Idk just an idea I thought to share.... 🤗
If you use a USPS box do you have to use USPS to ship or can you still use UPS, Fedex, ETC

Shipping is the most aggravating part of selling for me. I get the short end of the stick on most of the shipping costs, especially when FeeBay takes 10% on shipping, so you could never charge "actual" shipping. FeeBay also inflates the shipping savings. I've got an item that's 3.2 lb in the package at
15" x 14" x 7" and it's $14.88 through the post office. However. through ebay, it's $16.45 before so-called discount to $13.75. This item is going Florida to New York. The same item FL to Kentucky was $8.75. So, you can hardly predict shipping costs and unless it's under 16 oz, be prepared to pay high.

What are thoughts on trying to ship in the most "green" manner? I use recycled bubble wrap ($)- boxes reused from grocery store etc... But I do use a lot of new padded envelopes ... Do other folks have ideas on this?
Thats wonderful!! We try to use as many recycled materials as possible when shipping.
If you're figuring out shipping when you post your item, do you weigh it and weigh the box or bag ur shipping it in? Also how do you know whether to do priority or first class!
