Storytime! I purchased a gently used Mulberry bag from a seller on Poshmark Canada, I received said Mulberry, crammed in to an old USED empty Tim Hortons donut box, complete with grease stains and donut remnants, taped up with duct tape. I mean...c'mon now. 😂

You're amazing, that's my first comment on youtube videos! I have a small business selling designer bags but they come without boxes, should i use a plain box or customize a box with my logo?
Thank you so much! I'm glad the video has been helpful. What is your store called? I'll check it out 🤗 Branding is of course important for a business and I think it's a very nice detail to have customized boxes - it strengthens brand recognition and makes your brand look more professional and established. The one thing I will say is be mindful of where you place the branding. Rather than having it on the outside, have it on the inside of the box. The last thing you want is for your package to be stolen because branding on the outside tells every person who sees it that it holds valuable items. For example if people see the Louis Vuitton logo or if your brand/store name includes words like "designer" or "luxury" and is printed on the box, they will most likely assume there are valuable things inside. So make sure the branding is on the inside of the box - the best placement would be under the "lid" like Coach does so that it's the first thing you see when you open the box. We shouldn't have to worry about these things but unfortunately parcel theft is a real problem so you might as well be on the safe side. I will also say, depending on how far along you are in your business, you don't NEED to have customized boxes, it's just a nice touch. I generally use plain boxes as I like to reuse boxes that I receive bags in as long as they're in good condition. It saves on waste and makes my shipping expenses lower. I hope that helps! Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you, this vidoe is so helpful. Quick question and all the expenses for packaging are not expensive or making the product to cost more? I know they needed, but I would love to hear your views .
Hi, thank you for watching - I'm glad you found the video helpful! Of course packaging is an expense that you have to take into consideration when you want to sell your items, however, a good way to keep the cost down is to reuse packing materials and boxes. This is better for the environment as well and saves on waste 🤗
@@EssexFashionHouse I shipped out a small lil navy blue Nike side bag today, it’s been a while since I shipped items. This was a nice refresher & also some new tips I’m glad I tuned in for!! Can’t wait for them to receive their item 😎thanks again, from Oahu!
Hi, which carrier you should use of course depends on where you're located and what kind of service you want. I am in the UK and I like to use ParcelForce - I have an account with them, but I also hear good things about DPD. A lot of couriers have services that offer cover of the value of the item if it gets lost and this is definitely a good thing to have if it is a valuable bag for example, so make sure to check what coverage each service has. If you are sending low value items, it may not be worth paying extra for insurance. All of this also comes down to whether you are just sending a few individual packages or if you are running a business and will be sending many packages. If you are a business you can usually get better shipping rates, insurance etc by setting up an account with the carrier you choose, so it is definitely worth contacting the major carriers to see what they can offer. Make sure to read reviews and also take into consideration the personal experience you have with receiving items from certain carriers. For example, I would never send anything with Hermes/Evri here in the UK as I have had an extreme amount of packages go missing with them, there has been cases of employees steeling packages and many times they would say they tried to deliver when in reality they never showed up. So that was an easy one for me to rule out.
Really I just use the note as a opportunity to thank the buyer for their purchase and do a little personal greeting. It doesn't have to be long at all, just a few words to show you appreciation 🤗
