I worked with a company for years, that sold on eBay with several accounts. Now I'm doing it full time on my own. This is very similar to my process. However I used Ship Station in the previous company. Which costs, but its good. Good job Callie!
Instead of writing what's in the package on the outside we do the eBay record number (on the invoice/packing slip we print and include with the contents). We print one copy to go in the box and another to keep for our records. Pack the order, weigh and measure it, then note weight and dimensions on the copy we keep. Enter those into the computer and print the shipping labels (they all have that eBay order ID on them somewhere), then just match those numbers up when sticking the labels on. If you don't use the eBay IDs the postal/zip code works nicely too. Digital scale, tape gun and thermal label printer are great investments (and not that expensive really). ULine is another good source for shipping supplies. We also buy a variety of shapes and sizes of boxes (Canada doesn't have the same flat rate options the States does, but a lot of what we sell is too big or too small anyways); bubble wrap, newsprint and tissue paper for packing; and "fragile" stickers.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Callie. I've neglected adding the weight of the box into the final weight! Would like to see how you do bigger, abnormal size items.
Love the Callie shipping video!! She talks to us not AT us!! This is the best shipping video on the web, and I've seen hundreds, CALLIE YOU ARE THE BEST TEACHER and so dang smart!!
Callie, you are the definition of entertaining! Love your energy 😍 This video was one of the best regarding the eBay shipping process. So many golden nuggets that I have added this to my playlist for future reference. Love you all! I can’t tell you how many times I referred people I’m mentoring to watch your channel. Thanks for all you do. Encore
This was awesome. I am just now getting into refurbishing electronics. I was about to do a single layer of bubble wrap, but you talked me into more bubble wrap
One quick tip to add on to Callie. IF you select a shipping method, For example USPS Flat rate (in the listing), When you ship it out...you can always change it to a shipping method that's Faster shipping, but not the opposite...meaning you can't switch it to a shipping method that takes longer to get to the buyer
How do you keep track of your inventory system? For example, when you took a shirt labeled #4 out of a bin, how do you later remember that you can use #4 in that bin again? Or do you wait for a bin to be empty before adding to it?
RALLI ROOTS After you empty the bins how do you know what number to put on the new items that you place in the bin. I know you still have the pre existing bin letter. Can you make a video of this process or a quick explanation? Love the content you all share. 🥰
Girl, you need your own youtube channel. I'll be your first subscriber. You did an excellent job at showing us how to package and ship and you did it in the most pleasant and entertaining way. Thank you for that. Great video. Thumbs up.
I love Cali so much. made me laugh a few times with your dorkiness. I'm the same way. Yes talking to yourself is a sign of intelligence. Love how Cali does occasional videos to mix things up. Love Ryan and Alli always. Cali you gave me a few tips in this video that I already knew from previous vids but it felt more interactive if that's the right word. Being shown what you were looking at when on the computer and going to grab stuff from the shelves. And GREAT JOB keeping the buyer's info blurred or blocked. Love how you guys protect your buyers like that. I'm slowing organizing my own little area for reselling. Even bought some clothes ready to go. Just got to start taking pics. Ralli Roots is my whole inspiration to be a reseller and now my girlfriend is driven for it as well. It doesn't matter how many vids I see of the same material on your process and such. I value all of your guys' time spent making these videos and explaining everything. You guys are the best. Yes Cali you too!!! Keep it up you guys! Always looking forward to your vids.
This is the best and most entertaining video that I’ve watched all week! Callie is amazing! Please provide more videos made by Callie. She is to the point and makes it fun as well. I would like to learn how to ship large heavy items such as speakers. Callie is a gem!
Tip: Every 4 ozs is a cost raise in shipping 1-4 5-8 9-12 13-15 or 16 ~ depends on the platform Tip 2: U Haul has the best deals on everything I think! I buy my thick killer packing tape at Home Depot or Rite Aid. I always check if it's on sake at Rite Aid, since I go in at least 1x a month.
Thanks for taking the time to share the information. Shipping has so many options it can easily overwhelm and eat up return margins. I plan on using shredded junk mail put into plastic bags from the store to add padding to sold items when it's applicable. One way to reuse that waste. Take care and best wishes ✌
More Callie!!! So entertaining and super useful info. I had no idea about the bulk shipping and was honestly a bit scared of it. Not anymore! And I laughed so much this morning. Great job Callie!
Great Video Callie ? What do y'all put on your THANK YOU cards? That is my next step. And again awesome video. The floating technique, mind blowing, learn something new every time I watch you. AWESOME.
c. Bran nice! We pretty much just say thanks for your purchase, if you have any questions please reach out to us and don’t forget to leave positive feedback
Thanks so much for this video! I just started thrift resale a couple weeks ago and shipping has been the most difficult part so far. Very thankful for the information and the tips you shared. Love the channel, friends!
Awesome job. I love how you made it look like fun. Very informative . Now I know how to do bulk shipping and use the shoe box. I also say yes to more Callie.
Very Good video, lots of good information, except I do not use smart post anymore, just can take too long. For many items I will choose the "Standard shipping" which gives a comfortable turn around time and I will ship Fed home delivery or ground or USPS priority depending on the price and their location and having the right box.You can never have enough padded flats, free and you can stretch them out. don't forget Region A boxes as well, very handy
I have a question, so I'm new on ebay and i listed about 20 items. I've been weighing items and putting in the clear resealable bags with a piece of paper with description and weight and price. I noticed u weigh items after they sale then plug in the size and weight... I didn't know we could do that. I thought item has to show price of shipping before they sale so customers will know how much they are paying for up front before they buy. I want to do free shipping but starting out i wanted to keep it simple bc i know i will have to report to irs so any tips or apps to help manage would be great as i do this all from phone.
Excellent job! Only thing I would add is I like to click on carrier packaging sometimes since Ebay wont auto populate anymore, for items like shoes sometimes or smaller weighted items that might fit in regional rate boxes for cheaper than regular priority. Dont happen all the time but sometimes it works out for a couple bucks less.
Hiya Callie you crack me up! Yep I talk to myself all the time- it means we’re super geniuses (like Wile E. Coyote🤣)? Very informative, good job! Have a lovely week! Jet 🧡🎸🎶⚡️
Great video, learned a lot. 23:34 There's a fine line between genius and insanity. Talking to yourself, thinking aloud, is a sign of genius. It's when you talk back, have conversations with yourself, that it becomes insanity....
The only things I do different when packing in the tyvek bag is I put the shipping label on first before packing it. This gives me a nice flat surface to apply my shipping label on instead of a bulky bumpy surface.
Great video! When shipping First Class, you can use 4 oz for items up to 4.9 oz. So you shipped it correctly at 4 oz. Items 5 oz up to 8.9 oz are shipped at the 8 oz rate. And so on. Rates are changing in 2020 however. Hope eBay negotiates a better commercial rate for sellers. 2019 was hellaexpensive.
Great video! This was exactly the kind of stuff that I was needing to see. Maybe do one, one day on long odd shaped items like golf clubs. But this was awesome!
More eBay shipping vids with Callie, I quit eBay a few years back because the shipping part was complicated not fun.I wish they’d make it easy like Poshmark. You crack me up,thanks for the giggles. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I put first name and last initial on my box so when my lables come out in bulk I dont have to look at the computer match name to name and cover it up with lable
Good idea. I also considered pre packing items and writing what is inside but I'm not sure if there is reason for not doing that. I only have 50 to 100 things I'm selling at a given time but my summer has been slow, maybe that will help me later when I get more sales
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Callie literally makes you laugh out loud. Extra points for Car Radio/ twenty one pilots! I hope they let you do more on your own, especially A Day With Callie at the Warehouse.
Ralli Roots, your awesome! I appreciate your videos and the wealth of info they bring, but Callie...... She's amazing. I'd love to be around someone all day with her energy
Thank you Callie! You did so awesome! I haven’t shipped anything yet either and I learned a lot from you. I’m trying to learn as much as I can before I start shipping anything on eBay. This was really helpful. Thank you, thank you! Btw, love your quirkiness!🥰
When your listing says you’re going to ship by one carrier and then u switch to a different one... does the customer ever care?. Like they wanted it in the way you listed because bla bla bla about their particular housing/ mailbox situation. Just wondering, I would love to handle it your way and decide on the fly
I would not do that. No 2 options are the same in the last 100 yards of the process. At my house for example I never see a UPS driver before 2 pm. My normal mail is 9-11am. If say I work swing and leave for work at 1pm, I have my mail but the UPS box is going to sit on the porch for 10 hours, not good. This is a huge concern by customers. I bet meaningful sales are lost on this one alone. Its a good question.
S Brown For sure! There is a thing called “zones”. It actually says it on most package labels from mail services. The lower the number the closer you are to they’re shipping centers. Routes are typically the same everyday. I work for Fedex and I see the same person walking they’re dog everyday in the same parking lot I wait in for 5 minutes lol I know around the time my USPS driver shows up and the time my UPS driver shows up everyday on my street.
Hey in the event you want more movie magic. you can always screen shot the page on the computer with the cutting tool and black out the addresses and save sticky notes. You did awesome at explaining that thank you for the video.
Stephanie Mcclintock I would fill it with packing paper and then roll it in bubble wrap a few times and pack it in a small box with some packing paper and then put it the middle of another box filled with crumpled packing paper surrounding the small box at least a few inches on each side. Basically it’s a box floating in the middle of another box.
I did the same thing when I first started out, but then I realized all the time it took me and the added cost of the paper. Also the paper would add weight to the package that might increase shipping cost.
Love the idea of "suffocation bags" do you shrink them when packing because they look so neat. I have a variety of items but not all can be organized in bags but would totally look more professional!
Gurl I just learned so much from you THANKS for teaching me about the Priority Shoe Box cause I have those suckers but couldn’t for the life of me figure out how how to use them since they weren’t a choice on the ship menu Now I’ll be usin those bad boys with the OD and the weight like they were a regular box❤️ You do a great job with the shippin

This helps me so much , Callie! Thank you!
Hi Calli Enjoyed the video on shipping. We put the persons first initial and last name on package so it is easy to match the label to package.
She definitely brings value to this whole operation. Nice video.
Callie is not only quite entertaining in her videos, but most importantly she really knows her stuff!!

This was awesome. I am just now getting into refurbishing electronics. I was about to do a single layer of bubble wrap, but you talked me into more bubble wrap
You can also use a legal flat rate for shoes which is a little cheaper and it bends into a shoe box shaped box.
I can't believe I watch this whole video ! and I dont even do ebay ! you are so entertaining and very informative ! more of this pls
