14:45 - Vintage Boy Scout/US Army backpacks & bags are quite popular with buyers from Japan. While at the Hell's Kitchen Flea Market in NYC a few summers ago, a booth seller had about a dozen small green US Army bags in quite worn condition, however, a buyer from Japan snapped them all up without hesitation when the price was quoted. I sold a similar bag to a buyer in Japan which I picked up at a local yard sale. It was stained, with holes, but had an appeal to it and was surprised when it sold within a day of listing it.
Awesome hit on that Harley Davidson Comforter. I myself found a Harley Davidson Fitted Bed sheet and flat sheet, bought it for $3.25 and sold it for $120, score!!

Pavlov's Dog - Every time you used the EBay cash register sound clip in this video I looked down at my phone. Now I have whiplash....lol. I picked up 15 pairs of SAS shoes for $5 each...all new or like new. Sold one pair and made all my money back. Learned about that brand from you so thank you. I also just discovered Alden Shoes...big bucks. Picked up one pair at same sail for $5 and sold for $150. Thanks for all the great content.

Danskos are very expensive work shoes, hand made so every pair fits diffrent, there quality is great and also chefs wear them as they help you knees and back. I wore Danskos throughout my culinary career and one pair would last me 2 years.. 12 hours a day and go home with no foot, knee or back pain.

Do you guys find that free shipping does better and sells things more or is that just what you guys have chosen to do? I don’t want to lose profits from shipping but if it works and makes more sales then maybe I need to change
Profit Monsters 100% it works for us better than paid shipping. You get a boost in search and it’s how people like to buy now. There’s no loss to us, we add the shipping into the price. So if we’re selling the same item and yours is $45+5 shipping, ours is $49.97 free shipping

22:20 - I used to sell western wear almost exclusively a few years ago. Spring was always my best season for it because that’s when my rodeo and horse show customers were building their wardrobes for the upcoming season. It’s been pretty consistent over the years. Western fashion trends are a bonus for sure. Always be on the lookout for men’s Cinch jeans and shirts.

Quick question I'm new at selling on Ebay I recently sold a typewriter that was in perfect working condition. With no damage. Well now the buyer is requesting a refund saying that the keys were broken and the case was cracked. When asked if he could send me pictures of the damage along with the model number sticker it wasn't even the same one I sold him. In other words he is trying to get a refund on his broken item and keep the good one I sent him. What should I do? Any tips?

Really appreciate all the time and effort you put into making this video. If I can I just wanted to share a couple more brands that I had no idea about and sold recently for people to look out for. Peter Manning dress shirts and Mack Weldon shirts (had never heard of these 2 brands before but the shirts seemed really nice so I checked solds before I bought them). Yeah I would say the M&M luggage accessories. Went to a reseller. I have sold those in the past and did really well with them. I would pair the locks and tags with same color. And get 15.00 plus shipping.

GREAT Video!! You said your return rate is low. What is low rate and wha is avg and high for eBay? I know AMAZON is much higher. I also have free returns and sell mainly used electronics and my return rate is 2.5% is that normal? 225 transactions a month and 2.5% return rate.

I know you do promoted listings. Which eBay's own Devin Wenig said that overall sales were down but eBay's revenue is up due to promoted listings. They cut down on marketing in North America so that sales would drop and sellers would "flock", as he called it, to promoted listings. How do you feel about this? It really leaves me with an uneasy feeling about eBay overall.
Mandy Pink it’s their sandbox, we just get to play in it. Things will continually change on eBay, finding what moves to make in your business is part of the fun ;) also, don’t put all your eggs in the ebay basket.

What's the different between "being greedy" and holding out for a good offer? I find a lot of times that I'm offering a good price/send a good offer and lose a sale when the buyer isn't willing to be fair. And I'm not talking a couple bucks less, it's usually 50% off or something. I'm also concerned about accepting offers that are too low because it drags down the market. Thoughts?
The Traveling Family only you can decide that, but this business is about turning over inventory as often as you can, not letting it sit. Inventory sitting on the shelf makes you no money, you’re typically losing money from depreciation actually. Like I said, our model is 80% fast turnover items 20% slower turnover items, if we have an item listed and a good offer comes in, we’re taking it.

i sell shoes frequently, and my average shipping cost is probably $8.50-9. Are you using cubic shipping? Cut a few inches off a Priority shoe box and use cubic. I'm in the middle of the country..that much of a difference?
