I’ve had terrible neck pain and intense headaches nearly every day for twenty years. One session online with this RUclips granted me a pain free day and night. I’m thrilled. Thank you beyond description! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m 76 and have been doing your exercises for almost daily about a month. It has definitely been helpful with my neck pain that would really be somewhat severe especially when I moved my neck up or down where the pain would travel to the top of my head. Hopefully this will be a help to others in my age group as well 😊
Katie, just stumbled into your work today - was that an ad? If so, it worked. We're a lot more mobile than many you're targeting, but (for example) my neck was better after one follow thru the vid. Just showed my better half your work - her big one is back pain - and she's right now letting all her friends know about your channel. GREAT work. Thanx.
Thank you so much, Jerry! Your feedback means so much to me and I’m thrilled to know you and your better half are feeling better! Also, sharing is so helpful for my channel so thank you so much for that as well! So grateful to you both!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had to have knee surgery from doing a lunge wrong. Not only that it was A jumping lunge. After surgery I did P.T. and no one gave me the tips you just did.
This was just what I needed! Back in 1979 I was thrown part way through a windshield in a weather related accident. Because the EMT’s pronounced me dead at the scene and I “resurrected” in the ER of a tiny hospital in the middle of nowhere the ER staff completely forgot to x-ray my neck and back. They did slap on a cervical neck brace but that was it. The pain never went away. Twelve years ago I finally found an orthopedist who actually took my neck and back pain seriously and ordered ordered a dye contrast 360 degree CT scan. It showed that I’d fractured 3 vertebrae in my neck (C4,5&6) along with T7-T10 plus the ribs that were attached spine on both sides of the vertebrae. The right upper trapezius muscle, my right deltoid and rhombus muscles had nearly been torn completely off and should’ve been surgically reattached. Thanks to many doctors not taking my situation seriously these injuries all healed wrong just like the neck vertebrae had. As I get older the situation has deteriorated even further. Stretching that doesn’t make the situation even worse is absolutely vital to keep the pain level down. Thanks for a doable set of stretches!
Monica, wow! I’m so sorry you had to go through that experience and I appreciate your willingness to share your story of strength, perseverance, and survivorship! I am so glad that this video has served as a helpful part of continued recovery/restoration/maintenance and helps you to feel better! Thank you for your encouraging words- it’s people like you and your stories that motivate me to keep doing the work I do!
Thank you Ma'am. Much Respect and Blessings to you and your family. I Need this , my PT is over but not my home PT . I do my excercises almost every day& now I watch your show & do your excercises too . 👵🖖
Excellent!!!! Took the stress out of my neck!!!!! Thank you so much!!! Need lower back stretches for those who have bad knees and can’t always get to the floor!!
Thankyou Katie. I suffer from scoliosis in my neck and additionally have stenosis in my lower back. This was helpful, I haven't been able to make it back to my physical therapist.
I have constant neck spasms which I attribute to years and years of knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint. I wake up in pain almost every morning at about 4:00 a.m. your video has given me immense relief this morning. I was able to do an hour of needlepoint after doing your video by focusing on keep my chin tucked in. I plan to do the video once or twice more today. I hope by doing so to be able to continue my wonderful hobbies. I am 79 years old, a type 1 diabetic, and otherwise very healthy. But, I am “neck challenged,” often suffering from either neck or back spasms.
I am so sorry that your neck has spasms but I’m so glad to know that this video has helped! Thank you so much for your kind feedback! It helps us know we’re making an impact! I hope you continue to feel better and can explore your hobbies- so fantastic!
Thank you for these exercises and demonstrating them. My neck, shoulder pain and headaches are debilitating. This pt has helped more than the in person work I did for 4 weeks, twice each week.
A straightforward anatomy lesson describing the different muscles and their relationship to neck movement and support! It makes such a difference in understanding the work of each exercise. How often should these be repeated through the day? Thank you, very helpful.
@@TheSeniorCenteredPT thank you for your response. I have to say I was sceptical having tried several on line videos claiming to help. Unbelievably after just 48 hours of your exercise regime my neck feels so much freer and the pain of movement is greatly reduced. Fingers crossed this is the answer to my issues; can’t speak highly enough about the simplicity and effectiveness of your programme, thanks again
@@anitanicklin2704 I am so glad to hear this was so effective! Your feedback is invaluable to me and reminds me to keep doings what I’m doing, thank you!
This helped with the shoulder/ neck pain that I have because I had major foot surgery a few weeks ago and have been using a wheelchair. Thanks so much! Do you have any shoulder, upper back exercises that could also help?
I’m so glad this helped! I don’t have a specific video for shoulder and upper back stretches but this one for frozen shoulder may help because it’s focused on mobility of the shoulder. ruclips.net/video/wUrHyTRChho/видео.html Hope you’re feeling better soon!
I broke my ankle in three places stepping off a curb. Aug.10. Had surgery..cast and crutches....then boot. Walking without boot or crutches for 2 weeks. With a little bit of scoliosis..I have been walking cockeyed for too long. These exercises have really helped. Will try lower back ones. Suggestions?.
So sorry to hear about your ankle! But glad these exercises are helping your neck. I would check out the Scolio-Pilates video and the 6 Exercises Seniors Should Do to Decrease Back Pain. Hope they help!
God sent you to me do u have s center to come too! Excruciating cervical neck posterior shooting everywhere the head cranial for last 12 days twice at er only painkiller and muscle relaxant Please let me know if what else to do Thankyou
I’m so sorry to hear you’re in so much pain. Unfortunately I don’t have a center. I would reach out to a local neurologic PT to see if they could give you more exercises
Pillows are one of those things that are very subjective. I personally like a softer pillow that isn’t memory foam, but I know people who swear by their memory foam. I’m sorry that’s not very helpful but I do like the sleep number classic true temp
@myclassiccountry Thank you so much for this feedback! It can be very difficult for me to slow down when I'm talking or exercising, so your feedback helps me to know I'm doing that effectively, thank you!
Best yet, friends! She is SO helpful and thorough. Like having a physical therapist right in the room. And a kind and caring one at that.
Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate your positive feedback and am so glad you found it helpful

You actually gave me a replacement exercise for one my pt had given me, but that had strained my back. Thank you!
Hi Heide! Glad this exercise is working better for you! Thank you for your comment- it helps me to know that these videos are effective!
I’ve unfortunately learned that sometimes the stretches and exercises a PT has given me has made the situation even worse rather than better.
Thanks for the video, I got a concussion 2 month ago, I need to fix the neck and the back.
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that and I hope these help to decrease your pain!

I typically use the 12” Flex Kord
