Also called Turmeric Rice in some places. I've found lately that when I eat it my fasting blood glucose is lower than normal and so is my blood pressure. I have a doctor's appointment coming up and can't wait to see my blood work results. Also, black pepper helps the body to absorb turmeric. UPDATE: Fasting glucose was 80mg/dL(5.44mmol/L), blood pressure was down, everything else was in the 'normal' range plus my weight was down 13 pounds from what it was in December AND my HbA1c had dropped from 7.2 to 6.4. Doc was very happy for a change and didn't chastise me for anything.
You numbers were awesome! Do you mind telling us approximately how much turmeric you consume in a day or week? I’m very impressed with your results.👍👍 Thanks

@@marjiens8163, I make a pot of turmeric rice with 2.5 cups rice, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon turmeric plus black pepper, pinch of salt. Can also add paprika, chili powder, celery stalk finely chopped, 1/4 bell pepper, onion finely chopped, garlic, frozen vegetables. I like adding frozen carrots, peas or a broccoli, cauliflower, carrot mix. I generally eat at least 2 bowls if I don't cook any meat. BON APPETITE!!
Good morning I am Indian from Trinidad I hv tried many different receipes yours is the best. I made is yesterday for my job they loved it awesome The best ever
Great recipe! I used long grain rice but I had to add 10mins extra cooking time and 1/3cup more of chicken broth. I would watch out for adding the broth when you add it to the sauce pan. The broth tends to splash since the temp is still at med-high heat. I also added frozen peas and carrots after I added the broth.
do you cook the rice first I could not tell if the rice is cooked or not cooked overall this looks very good and I definitely will be trying it once you tell me if the rice is cooked first or not
I have a quick question. I saw that you had garlic powder and onion powder on the counter amongst the ingredients. Did you use them in the recipe and if so how much? Thanks.
Thank you!! No I only wash it first when I’m cooking it in my rice cooker. You definitely can if that’s what you prefer.. since the goal is to toast it a little, you might need to wash it a couple hours in advance so it will have time to dry out. I’m not sure that the wet rice will toast up the same.
Are there any healthier organic brands of white and yellow rice? I know basmati rice is still white rice but is it healthy. I been eating more brown and black rice cuz I know its healthier. I still wanna eat white and yellow rice just healthier brand But brown and black rice have more arsenic. Does washing it remove the arsenic? I usually wash it multiple times
So im a lazy sack of crap and prefer using my rice cooker, is it okay to use this recipe in it or would it cause issues to the rice cooker and/or come out different?
I’ve personally never tried it but I’ve seen videos on tiktok of people making similar recipes in a rice cooker. I think it’ll turn out fine, just follow the liquid/rice ratios that your rice cooker requires instead of the ratio I gave
Finally I Found Somebody Who Gets Right Into It 🥰
Im glad that your video was top of list 3 years later for me. this is spot on yellow rice. Great video.
Same😂
I just made this for lunch and it is delicious! (Edit) I did use jasmie rice. Add carrots and Habanero pepper for a lil kick.
Yum!! I’m gonna have to try the habanero.. I love spicy!

Love this receipe...can I substitute long grain rice and also what type of pan is that?
Yep you can use long grain rice and the pan is just a cuisinart skillet!
Hi, did you put raw rice?
I have a quick question. I saw that you had garlic powder and onion powder on the counter amongst the ingredients. Did you use them in the recipe and if so how much? Thanks.
This looks amazing! Do you rinse or wash your rice before adding to the pot?

You should always rinse wash your rice is dirty

Could you sub the tumeric for curry?
Is the rice cooked ahead of time before being added ?
Nope! It’s uncooked
@@AverysApron thanks

Recipe please. Please list all the ingredients please. 🙏 Thank you.
You can add subtitle in your video
Where are the exact measurements? I can’t find how much rice and water to use
But I use the chief brand tumeric always buy the Indian tumeric
Is turmeric hot 🥵
Nope not at all! It’s honestly hard to describe the taste b/c it’s not very strong, it really just gives the rice a nice aroma.
Made this and the salt was crazy high. Skip the bouillon cubes black people. That shit is poison.
I agree. Bouillon plus stock plus butter....salt bomb
