- This is a test run of HotStart's newest work: the TBM 900 for X-Plane. It's an extremely detailed representation of the real thing. Excuse the stutters in parts of this video, they were not shown in the actual simulator, just an artifact of the recording process.
Used in this video:

Steveo's videos are cool but these are really a step above. I love how detailed you are with explaining everything and how you take your time to do right.
Very kind, thanks!
awesome to see that, so far, every specifics for the systems are modelled (SVT, engine indications, Terrain alert, etc.). I hope the G1000 will have every functionality too (airways, VNAV, etc.) In any case, seeing what we saw, no doubt it will be a great addon !!
Glad to hear you made the jump to XP11! Carenado still hasn't updated their TBM850 for XP11 and it's barely flyable. PT6 modeling is off too. Guess what I'll be switching to once it's available! Thanks for the video! 5 blade composite Hartzell Whoohoo!
Carenado still uses their own G1000 which isn't good.
It's very neat seeing the aircraft in early beta because we consumers never get to see it like this. Everything that has been textured looks phenomenal and I'm very excited to see it completed!
Hello Jason, I just ove the HotSart TBM. I am flying my last leg of the Atlantic Crossing to my home base CYND. I've seen all your videos. I have my CPL ME IR and I got my PPL in 1989 and in December of that year is when I first saw the TBM 700 on Flying Magazine and been in love since lol! Thanks for sharing how to feather the prop since it was not clear in the Hotstart Quick start guide.
Yay..I am looking forward to this.
thanks for your video. that is exactly what I need now
Great video. Love the 4K. Would love to some precision approaches (ILS and GPS) in the sim (or in the Real Deal). Thanks for sharing.
I am excited about this plane. I hope the exterior sounds are improved, they sound harsh.
CAVOK Agree, sounds could be a lot better....
Does the G1000 have a proper FMS? (SID's STAR's Airways)?
Yes this aircraft is FULLy simulated, meaning every single part of the engine is programmed. Most intense simulation to date for x plane.
Wow, any real world pilot who uses a simulator is a cut above the rest in my book. I’m a Missionary Pilot here in the Philippines and I was using flight simulator years before I ever went to flight training. Xplane 10 was my best friend. I used FSX and P3D too but when I switched to Xplane 11. No going back after that. I’m subscribed now after seeing this video. God bless sir.
Thank you! I truly believe sims help - especially with avionics/instruments
Awesome if its beta
Great video! What is the checklist app/plugin you’re using?
That's ForeFlight, using the checklist I use in real life.
Wow cool - I use FF and never even knew they had checklists built-in like that! Awesome!!
Jason the Hotstart TBM was released a couole a days ago will you do a new video on it?
Great idea!
We will be watching, that's for sure.
Excellent tutorial with one request not to hurry with the checklist so we can follow better what you are inspecting...
roger that! Any questions you have, fire away!
Hi have a question: first we have to purchase the x plane software 11 and then the x-aviation for the TBM that’s $9000 for the plane?
X-Plane is $60. I doubt the TBM 900 model would be much more than that, though I have no real idea. Not $9000 though :)
Do you know where can I buy the one you posted
Sorry, buy what? X-Plane? That is on Steam or X-Plane's own site. The TBM 900 model I videoed here has not been released yet
Sorry I meant the video you post in what website is going to be for sale (the tbm 900 model)
Not sure, they are still working on it so no release date set - I think it might be sold via www.x-aviation.com when it comes out, but not sure
Mr J . Have you heard about the release date for Xplane 11 TBM 900 simulator.
No date out there that I know of, but they continue to make good progress!
Hi, what is the best way to make a slow taxy, or avoid hot brakes?
You can map a joystick or other button to open the "gate" to pull the throttle back into the beta range. All taxiing should be in the beta range unless you are going up a good hill and need more power. Avoid going all the way back into reverse to prevent kicking up dirt into the engine intake.
when?
I wish they would take that G-1000 out of it. It really sucks and it’s hard to see.
