What are my options for laying the waterproofing down if the studs are not exposed, and the 1st layer of concrete for the pan is already poured and sloped?
Mister Simon, I've got a question, after you wrapped the curve with shower liner, ,do you screw hardie board or cement board onto the curve's inside wall and on the top, and later on when you make the mud deck ,you put the stucco mesh over it and then you waterproofed it right ? I have to install shower liner in 6 showers, and then ill have to fill the shower pan for inspection, but i would like to do it right at the first time, Im hoping that you read my comment . I really like your job
I had someone do that job an I had to cut out the drain.hw never screw in the pan..he put in the liner then the drain.can I put the drain.Add the cement to the bolt level cut out liner an reseal it

You have to have some kind of framing otherwise you wont be able to attach the liner.

Yes. I screw the cement board to a 2x4 and wrap it with the mesh and waterproof it.
So you can put the liner right on the existing concrete floor?
There is a pre-sloped pan under the liner. You have to have a pre-sloped pan under your liner, otherwise water might accumulate in the liner.
I'm trying to do something like this for a sauna floor with a drain that drops out into the yard. Would this work for that?
yes
Sorry, what are the pebbles for? Do you cover them with the mortar base?
Mortar can clog the weep holes. Pebbles protect weep holes from getting clog by mortar. Pack mortar around drain before building a shower pan.

Does it work?
