I love this guy. Always have. I was born in '77, and my Grandma bought me my first tape in 1984. Which was of course "1984". I could listen to Dave forever. Some folks get him, and some don't. I'm, and always have been, Team DLR!!!!
He's a genius. And a big reason for VH's success! A lot of people don't see that when they compare Sammy to him. Totally different league. Sammy is decent. But DLR is just on a whole other level. If it's baseball, Sammy is Triple A; DLR is Major League!
I think it's more like comparing the American League to the National League. Some love the DH, some despise it. Both leagues compete on the highest platform.

Raised in Huntington Beach, and the southern part California, this guy was a house hold Name in the Day, personally I think he's awesome, I really believe he's got a big heart, very intelligent individual , awesome voice for the band... Good memories from my teenage years

So the interviewer has around 20 questions on his paper 😂😂😂 its going to be awhile .

I have always Loved David Lee Roth as a Singer. Seen him in Concert over 10 Times throughout my life Solo and with Van Halen. Great Entertainer. But I have to admit he loses me so Fast whenever I try to watch him do an Interview. I see him say something and then he Laughs his Ass Off meanwhile I'm sitting there trying to figure out what he just said lol. I met Dave in the 80's backstage for Eat em and Smile at the Meadowlands in NJ. He was such a cool guy. Billy Sheehan was cool as well but Stevie Vai wouldn't mix with the people backstage, he had a really weird vibe going. Dave was surrounded by hot girls the whole time before he picked one and went across the hall to his dressing room with her! What a night that was!
I think people underestimate the Latin influence in VH music. I'm sure that the VH swing in "I'm The One" & "Mean Streets" etc is from their days of playing Latino gigs. Also I'm sure that DLR has undiagnosed ADHD. It takes one to know one. With out doubt, the smartest man in Rock N Roll.
