I followed your advice and it did😢work. Not until I added a little gas to the carburetor then she fired up and I was able to cut my yard. THANK YOU!

I pulled out the jet inside the float bowl. It was plugged. Cleaned it with carburetor cleaner as well. Put it together like you said and it still doesn’t run. I have the fuel on., etc..

@@timjohnson9696 hope you got it figured out. If not- is gas getting into the carb and filling its bowl? The emulsion tube where the jet was in also has to be cleaned, there should be a hole from bottom to top into the Venturi the emulsion tube also has small holes in it sidewall that are hard to get to unless you remove the tube. Put fuel directly into the carb throat to make sure it will fire, if it fires then you have fuel delivery problem for sure. If it doesnt fire then check for spark, it may or may not be just the plug. Check the plug in another motor to see if it has spark before you condem it because it could be any other part of the spark generation system.

The first thing should be to make sure gas is coming thru the hose and getting to the carb, if not then fix why it isn’t, if yes then remove the carb.

Prior to taking off the carbureator for cleaning, I first drain and clean the fuel tank, and then use fresh non-ethanol gas. If it then starts, problem solved. If it the runs, you can then add 1/4 cup of 100% Acetone to a full tank of gas. Use the lawn mower as gou wouldnormally in cutting your grass. The Acetone mixture will thoroughly clean any deposits within the carbuerator, as well as carbon deposits.

@@jameswordenjr.7628 after working on too many to count non starting mowers, tillers, generators, if fuel is making it out of the tank and that fuel isn’t rank and rotten, I have never just put in new fuel and it fired up. I’ve always had to clean the jet and emulsion tube, sometime replace a rubber tipped needle or a rubber seat and boom they fire up.
