I am a 68-year- old woman and thanks to your video I was able to replace the carburetor on my mower myself. I did have a couple of problems though. When taking it apart one of the torx screws broke off and one of the screws in the back was stripped and would not come out. I tried to get the top off so I could get my drill in there, but the bolts and nuts were both moving so I couldn't get the top off. I kept drilling and then I tried to snap the bolt but nothing was working. then I tried to cut it off with my Dremel but I had the same problem where I couldn't my the blade back to the screw very well. All of a sudden, I noticed the bolt was turning; all that banging, drilling, prying, and sawing must have loosened that bolt and I was to get my fingers in there and just twist it out. I was able to replace the screws at Menards so after that, everything went smoothly. I got the fuel line pulled off and I have to do a little cleanup on that yet before I put the new fuel line in. The kit I bought had a shut-off valve so I am going to try and add that too if there is enough room to do that. I will be back mowing again tomorrow. Thank you so much for making this video; you saved me at least $100 or more and a few weeks without my mower. In addition to that, I learned a very useful skill.
Great job Hester. You are excellent about explaining everything and tips on the dos and don'ts - it is no wonder you are over 1000 subs. You'll be a Lamborghini driving big time youtuber faster than you suspect. CONGRATULATIONS
Thanks Scout! Luckily this one didn’t fight too hard! The worst part is I had a 45 minute video all edited and ready to go on the big Husqvarna riding mower behind it and somehow accidentally deleted it…..
@@ChrisLoganToronto unfortunately I finished the riding mower which was a huge job. Driving slow, deck bracket broken off, rebuilt the mower deck, and full service. Finished filming got the video all edited and somehow the video got corrupted…. Ugh. I’m still aggravated. That was an hour long video too…
Glad I could help! I try to say the sizes when I think about it just for situations like this where it would be nice to know what you need before you head out 👍🏻
May i ask what solution you run in your ultrasonic cleaner? Mine never come out that clean looking. The carburetors ive done alway come out very dull looking. Clean but dull. Thank You
That’s the first time I’ve seen jelly on the emulsion tube. Phew! 🔧👍

Wow what a nightmare! Glad you stuck with it and persevered! 👍🏻
I am so glad that you were able to break 1K brother. It is well deserved. Keep up the awesome work brother!
Thank you buddy! You were one of the first people to help me get there! Wouldn’t be where I am without people like you 👍🏻

Thank you Chris👍🏻 I don’t know I’d make it to Lamborghini but I’d settle for a civic 😂👍🏻
Fantastic service on that push mower Hester! I love how you make it look so easy but it would take me all night! =D Runs like a CHAMP!!!!

The Black plastic attached at the end of the Bimetal choke pulls off. It takes a little, but pulls off and can be pushed back on after service.
Interesting! I didn’t know that, I’ll have to try next time I get one in 👍🏻
Thanks for letting us know. The nut size of the carburetor bowl. Send me some time. Especially out in cold . I’m winterizing my mower.

Really wish you would turn up the volume because 60 years of Diesel mechanic has hurt my hearing and my back 😊
I hear ya there! I’ll keep that in mind and try to speak up in the future 👍🏻

Ive run berrymans chem-dip for almost 10 years and I’ve had great success 👍🏻
This is the sorriest carb set up period 😢😢😢
It really does feel that way!
