There are instances where the ZV-E10 II surpasses the Alpha camera in color reproduction. However, the Alpha has advantages such as an electronic viewfinder (EVF), superior build quality, a mechanical shutter, in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and additional features that make it a more compelling option compared to the Mark II. Judging solely by the footage from each camera, choosing between them can be challenging. The ZV-E10 Mark II likely offers better color due to its newer technology and Sony's continuously improving color science. For instance, consider how the sky appears in footage from the ZV-E10 versus the Alpha. P.S. I bought the original ZV-E10 based on your recommendation, but I wish I had waited for the Mark II or the Alpha 6700.
Two things. I've been shooting on the original ZV-E10 for 2+ years and I've noticed it has a slight tendency towards lighter colors and also to slightly overexpose in auto-modes - my suspicion is that this is a tweak to make faces look more social-media-pleasant on auto. Also I knew the new ZV had a slight crop in 4k60. So it was just a matter of noting the lighter-colored/more right-exposed footage - wherever there is such a difference - is on the same side as the footage that look slightly more zoomed in - again wherever there is a difference :)
A useful video with concise presentation of the information. I did have to skip a few minutes at the beginning where the talk was about what we will talk about. Occasional but not attention numbing repetition. Viewers can of course always just repeat a video to hear everything again if the info is dense and fast paced.
I don’t see any significant difference from the 7:41 of the ultimate viewer. I can’t imagine anyone caring. I need the EVF so that is the deciding factor for me. Otherwise, I think the cheaper option is probably reasonable.
This guy puts in so much time and effort to create these high-quality reviews and it's much appreciated. This video has over 14k views and only 440 likes? Common folks give the guy a like at least. Geez
Another amazing comparison. I sold the ZV E10 M1 and have the a6700. Love it, but always hungry for more I picked up a ZV E1. First full frame camera and so far impressed. But, a6700 with the Sony 11 1.8 is much lighter, much wider with minimal quality difference.
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience It's great to hear that you're enjoying your a6700 and ZV-E1. I'm glad you found the comparison helpful. It's interesting to hear that you've gone from the ZV-E10 M1 to the a6700 and now the ZV-E1. Your experience highlights the versatility of Sony's camera lineup. I agree that the a6700 with the Sony 11 1.8 is a fantastic combination for portability and image quality. Have you tried using the a6700 with zoom lens like the Sigma 18-50 f2.8? It might offer an even more dramatic perspective for your videos.
a6700 has IBIS, but was super surprised to see how much smoother the ZV-E10 ii's Active Stabilization was during the walking test. the a6700 was still super jittery

I kinda agree...you're ok. I used to like Gerald undone(as a fellow Canadian) but I unsubscribed from his channel don't like his content anymore and kept yours.
Just got my hands on the zve10 mark ii , it’s my first camera very excited but kind of frustrating because I am not a pro , but I want to see its full potential
I couldn't tell, honestly but I"m glad I got the A6700 because now I don't have to deal with that crop. Even with the 11mm F/1.8 anything more than the 13% crop for active stab is too tight for me. The stab is good enough to not have to use Catalyst in most situations for me. I'm primarily a vlogger. Also, with weather sealing I'm not paranoid as much about a drop of rain ruining my investment. One other thing: S-Log3 is a game changer. It offers so much more flexibility in post. It honestly reminds me of the flexibility shooting in RAW provides. You can't completely fix bad white balance or exposure, but you have a lot more room to work with in S-Log3. At least in my experience. Plus, the added dynamic range is awesome.
Hey there, Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ZV-E10 II and a6700!. It's great to hear your perspective. Both cameras have their own strengths and weaknesses. The a6700 is a powerhouse with its EVF, great stabilization, and ability to shoot 4K at 120fps. It's also weather-sealed, which is a big deal for outdoor shooting. On the other hand, the ZV-E10 II is more lightweight and portable, and it has a built-in 3 directional microphone, which can be handy for quick and easy recordings. Ultimately, the best camera for you depends on your specific needs. If you prioritize photography, stability, and flexibility, the a6700 might be the way to go. But if you're looking for something more portable and convenient, the ZV-E10 II could be a great option. Let me know if you have any questions.
Coming from the zv E10, the EVF and the better dynamic range would make the a6700 the logical upgrade for me since I’m doing less video this year. But that jump is approximately $500; kinda steep.
@@nyohaku I couldn't deal with still having the 40% crop on the stab, but if you don't mind it then the E10 II might be the choice. If you don't need a viewfinder now, you probably won't use it much. The new screen seems much easier to see when it's sunny and I believe it's the same one on the new E10. Dynamic range should be similar if you use S-log3. I do use the extra custom buttons to help my S-Log3 workflow. Mostly for me, the $500 was worth it for the IBIS and much smaller crop in active stab. The way I look at it is that 40% crop on the sensor essentially makes it a 1" sensor.
@@TimBrownTown Thanks for the feedback. I am only producing video (tripod-studio) 10% of the time this year, so the a6700 is looking good for stills. My zVe10 mk1 screen seems to be similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max with brightness turned down by 1/3. The phone has a screen twice as big as well. As a non-pro landscape/architecture shooter, I’m looking for better skies and deep shadow detail without a lot of post production finesse. All three cameras, used correctly, blow cell phones away.
I'm not a professional photographer/videographer but as someone who is always obsessed with quality of photos/videos, I identified the A6700 right away in the intro. Money is only my issue in choosing since the price difference is quite big and I'm not a fan of EVF. But I do want that 4k120fps.
Great job Film Alliance....... I bought the Sony @6700 , and wouldn't trade it for the world....... Also I saved over $200 on it as a price match at Best Buy....... Keep up the great work.......
Thank you for that nice comment. Oh wow, price match. What a great idea. I love my a6700 as well for different reasons then why I love the ZV-E10 II. Thanks brother
I could tell 90% sure that the one on the right is A6700 and I am right! What give it away is the color which is more natural and richer which is my experience. Though it is kind of mind blowing since they both use the same sensor.
Great video. Thank you very much. I am a photographer and I still hesitant to make the step to video, but videos like this bring me closer to start with videography. A6400, RX10 III, RX100 VII and A7 III I can choose from, but which one should I use to start? Or buy the A6700? Thanks for all the reactions and greetings from The Netherlands. Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks man. It depends on quite a bit of factors. I created a "Which Camera Should I Buy" course and a free camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for you. Have you taken either yet? Hope they help!
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the Georgia Tech shots. While I didn't attend Georgia Tech myself, I've always been impressed by the campus and its vibrant atmosphere. It was a beautiful place to capture footage while we were in the area. I appreciate your kind words about my reviews. I strive to provide informative and helpful comparisons, and I'm glad you find them valuable. SO what did you end up liking more the ZV-E10 II or a6700?
Thoroughly enjoy your videos and will be taking your ZV E10Mk2 course soon...Would you opine in one of your videos on the internal Mic performance and which external mic you think would pair well with the E10Mk2
Thanks so much for your kind words and for enjoying my videos. I'm excited to hear that you'll be taking my ZV-E10 II course soon. Regarding the internal microphone performance, I've found that the ZV-E10 Mk2's built-in microphone is quite capable for most casual vlogging and content creation. It offers good clarity and directionality, making it suitable for capturing audio in various environments. However, if you're looking for professional-grade audio or need to record in particularly noisy settings, an external microphone can significantly enhance your sound quality. As for recommendations for external microphones, I'd suggest considering a shotgun microphone like the Rode VideoMic Pro+ or EKMm2 like you mentioned. They're also relatively compact and easy to use, making them a popular choice for vloggers and content creators. Ultimately, the best external microphone for you will depend on your specific needs and budget. I recommend doing some research and perhaps even testing out a few options to find the one that suits you best. You can rant these as well from Lensrentals. Let me know what you land on as far as mics go.
Wow… I nicely done! I found I preferred much of the footage from the ZVE10, but probably 60/40. It’s color/tones just seemed lighter. Agree vey much with your summary! ZVE10ii perhaps a better studio camera and the 6700 a great hybrid!
It's always funny to see that the Alpha 6700 is recommended more for Vlogging, although the ZV-E10 is marketed as vlogging camera. Because the missing IBIS really kills the ZV lineup (except the awesome ZV-E1). That's possible a compromise for the low weight, but I really prefer having 100 grams more instead of having this bad crop and choppy stabilization. Thats why i ordered today a Alpha 6700 to replace my ZV-E10. The first one. I love it, but i really want to have 4k60 and IBIS. Also i love all the new advantages of the current Sony Software. Currently in germany there is a cashback promotion for students. That's why the Alpha 6700 costs 1050€, and the ZV-E10 II 950€. If you ask me, this is a nobrainer for students. But I am sad of the missing cool microphone at the alpha 6700. ZV-E10 II with Ibis or Alpha 6700 with a ZV mic would be nearly perfect.
Thank you for your insightful comment. It's great to hear your perspective on the ZV-E10 II vs. the a6700 for vlogging. I understand your preference for IBIS and 4K60. It's true that these features can significantly enhance video quality, especially for vlogging. The Alpha 6700's combination of IBIS and 4K60 capabilities makes it a strong contender While the ZV-E10 II might not have IBIS, it offers other advantages, such as its lightweight design and dedicated vlogging features like the flip-up screen and built-in microphone. These features can be valuable for those who prioritize portability and convenience. Thats one of my favorite features. I agree that a built-in microphone can be a convenient feature. However, you can always add an external microphone to the Alpha 6700 to achieve the desired audio quality. "ltimately, the best choice between the ZV-E10 II and the a6700 depends on your specific needs and priorities. If IBIS and 4K120 are essential for your vlogging projects, the Alpha 6700 might be the better option. However, if portability and convenience are more important, the ZV-E10 II could be a great fit.
@@thefilmalliance hey thanks for reading the comments and replying. Im currently watching your ZV-E10 ii vs ZV-E10 Video. Because I've noticed the improved stabilization here. And indead, the new stabilization is much nicer. That's awesome. Is there like an option on the a6700 to slightly increase the crop optional, to have more like a ZV-E10 ii stabilization? The crop is pretty noticable, but the shots look more smooth.
Hey Armin, I am also from Germany and want to buy the A6700. Servus! Which student discount did you use? do you have a link, website or any tips?
How good is the quality of the internal mic on the ZV-EV10 II for making RUclips video's demonstrating high end acoustic guitars? Or would you use an external mic? If so, which mic is a good external choice? Thank you for your great content
I waited for the ZV-E10 II and agonized over it, but in the end I bought the A6700 to replace my original ZV-E10. The mark 2 felt like a bare minimum for what I needed in an upgrade, for a fairly hefty price increase, whereas it felt like I can pay a little more for the A6700 and also get all the "nice to haves". Another big factor that ultimately swayed me is that I made heavy use of active stab on the original ZV, and one day it hit me that having bought an APSC camera I'm shooting a hefty proportion of my footage with a sensor area smaller than a MFT. So I kind of thought enough is enough, I want that ibis! I do wish the A6700 was even slightly smaller though. It's noticeably the biggest camera even in the a6000 line
Thanks for sharing your experience with how you made your decision on the a6700. It's great to hear that the a6700's additional features and IBIS were decisive factors in your decision. I'm curious to know if you've noticed any significant differences in image quality or low-light performance between the two cameras. Additionally, how has the IBIS been performing in your real-world shooting scenarios? Thanks in advance
@@thefilmalliance I feel like I'm still a couple months away from being able to answer those questions properly, but right now no, image quality and lowlight don't look immediately noticeably different to me (except the part where I shoot 60p a lot and 4k60 availability is a huge step up). IBIS has been awesome for use with non-stabilized lenses, and the IBIS-enhanced active stab with the way smaller crop has also been great, although I do also feel like the ZV-E10ii's active stab looks more stable (in your test footage as well). Still, I can add warp stabilization in post to the A6700's active-stab footage and the resulting crop would still be less than the active-stab on even the ZV mark 2, so for now I'm still thinking the A6700 is probably the overall better tradeoff.
Been binge watching your videos ! I’m stuck on what camera to buy. I wanna start a car RUclips channel and will need to for context mostly. Been eyeing the zv 10
Hey Brandon, sounds cool. Thanks for watching my vids. Every camera has its different use for different applications. Have you tried taking my camera quiz? This may get you in the right direction.
Bro start with an action camera like DJI action 4 or go pro hero 12 or even the pocket 3. All I use for my trucking channel is the DJI action 4 and I get thousands of fews. It’s not necessarily about the camera you use it’s the way you shoot & edit.
And here we are again. I'm waiting for your comparison of A6700 vs ZVE-10 MK II. As expected, ZVE10 MK II has no EVF, crop at 4k 60fps already, no 120FPS at 4K, no IBS, and NO front dial. While the A6700 has it all, the downside is that 4k 120fps has a small crop and overhead at 4k if you shoot longer footage. But I have a solution use Ulanzi Fan version 2. I have owned the A6700 with my lens Tamron 17-70mm for months I shot many photos in different situations. Last time I took many pictures outside with the sun, and I used EVF every time because of the sun's reflection I couldn't see the display. It's really handy to get a closer look another solution is, that you can connect your phone with the creator's app to the camera and voila you have a bigger Display with the Smallrig mount case. I am very surprised how useful this camera is and I must say as a beginner EVF is a must if you are reliable in some situations for taking pictures. For videos both cameras are good has the same sensors but it depends on what you want to require for your own needs. For beginner content creators ZV-E10 MK II is quite decent and easy to use for inside and outside videos another solution to avoid active stabilization is a better lens like the Tamron 17-70mm which has a stabilizer. If you want to make videos and photos I recommend the A6700 it has it all also a good start-up for a beginner Photographer.
great sharing, both of them have advantage and weakness. i still stay patient and wait for next camera that include dynamic active stabilization in the sony e1.
It looks like ibis is important only for photos in a6700. For video I don't think even active stabilization is smooth. Zve10 mark 2 blew the a6700 out of the water in stabilization.(Kind of sad for a a6700 user like me.) BUT, Because zve 10 mark 2 has only electronic shutter, that factor alone is a deal breaker for me. Most people invest in their cameras and lenses for both photos and videos. And correct me if I'm wrong but mechanical shutter is really important for even a hobbyst. (No one wants bandings or some flickers in their photos.) P.S. I don't see many people complaining about this electronic shutter only. Am I missing something ?
Hi Karl, Thank you for your insightful observations. It's great to hear your thoughts on the ZV-E10 II's and a6700's stabilization and shutter systems. Regarding stabilization: While the a6700's IBIS (In-Body Image Stabilization) might not be as effective for video as the ZV-E10 II's active stabilization, it can still make a noticeable difference in certain shooting conditions. The combination of IBIS and lens stabilization can help reduce camera shake, especially for photos. Concerning the electronic shutter: It's true that the ZV-E10 II's reliance on an electronic shutter can be a limitation for some users, especially those who prioritize mechanical shutter for photography. Mechanical shutters can help avoid banding and flickering, which can be more noticeable in certain lighting conditions. It's possible that many users have adapted to the electronic shutter on the ZV-E10 II or haven't encountered significant issues with banding or flickering. Additionally, some users might prioritize other features, such as image quality or video capabilities, over a mechanical shutter. Ultimately, the best choice between the ZV-E10 II and a6700 depends on your specific needs and priorities. If you require a mechanical shutter for photography and are willing to sacrifice some video stabilization, the a6700 might be a better fit. However, if you prioritize video stabilization and are willing to accept the limitations of an electronic shutter, the ZV-E10 II could be a great option. Does that make sense?
@@thefilmalliance Yes. I guess it may not be that big of a deal not to have a mechanical shutter for some people. Maybe because they(probably content creators mostly) prioritize video over photos. After all, zve-1 doesn't have mechanical shutter either but it's in the market.
For those who still value high-quality stills, a mechanical shutter can offer certain advantages like faster burst shooting or reduced rolling shutter effect
So my current collection of cameras are the A7Iv the FX30 and my favorite pocket camera the zv1ii. I’ve been considering the new zve10. I had the OG one and traded it on my FX30 but I always missed it afterwards. I sure don’t need it. I was hoping a a7v would be out soon so was kind of saving for that but that new zve10 sure has my interest. Dang…. I think I have a problem with cameras 😂. Keep up the amazing work.
That's a great camera collection you have there. I have the FX30. The ZV-E10 II is definitely a tempting option. It's a fantastic choice for vloggers and content creators who want a compact, feature-rich camera. If you're considering the ZV-E10 II, I'd recommend doing some in-depth research to compare its features and capabilities. That way, you can make an informed decision based on your specific needs and preferences. And don't worry about having a "problem" with cameras. Photography and videography are fantastic hobbies, and having a variety of options can enhance your creative process.
Thanks! My decision is made, the a6700 is for the one for me! i will wait and save a little bit more to get it, by the way... i did your quiz and i got the a6700 as result, lol!
Great content and comparison...I'm currently in the market for a "first" camera and I feel like the lack of mechanical shutter on the ZVE10 ii is pushing me either to go ZVE10 original with some nicer glass on the end of it or spend the coin for an A6700. I could tell the difference between the two in video but it can be very subtle at times which is a testament to the Mark ii.
While the lack of a mechanical shutter might be a concern, the ZV-E10 II offers several advantages, such as lighter body size. With that said I do agree that a ZV-ZV-E10 with nice glass would be better than ZV-E10 II paired with the kit lens
The a6700 is a great deal for these video features. 4k 4:2:2 at 120 fps for around 1300€ is really nice. It also has IBIS. For around 300€ more, I take the IBIS and 120 fps...
I got the Sony ZVE10 II. The main reason is the size. I have a Nikon D7200 and its huge so I typically end up just using my phone (Samsung S21 Ultra). I also have some waterproof Olympus cameras and I have Sony AX100 Video camera, so I was looking for something small to do both film and video. I just got this camera so still have to try it out. Most cameras suck at video except the camcorder, so I got this because it looks like it will do good video and pictures hopefully better than a phone and small enough that I should be able to just take it most places easily, I wish it would fit into my pocket but what can you do, I didn't want to go down too much. The A6700 is a larger camera and the ZVE10 II is easier to use so why I chose it. I almost never mess with settings for the most part so.
Great detailed video. Decision isn’t easy because both cameras are crippled. Why can’t Sony Canon and Fuji give us one un-crippled APSC camera instead of several models lacking important features: stacked sensor, mechanical and electronic shutter, dual card slots, effective IBIS, EVF with good resolution, Ai AF, 4K 120 & 60 without cropping, vertical shooting and the other little cool video features everybody wants?
Thank you for your insightful comment. I agree that it can be frustrating to navigate the current landscape of APS-C cameras, where many models seem to compromise on certain features. While I understand where you’re coming from wanting a single, all-encompassing camera, it's important to note that different content creators have varying needs. The ZV-E10 II and a6700, for example, each cater to specific audiences. The ZV-E10 II is designed with content creators in mind, offering a lot of great features for a fraction of the price. The a6700, on the other hand, is geared more towards hybrid shooters and professionals who need that EVF and 4K 120. As the market continues to evolve, we can hope to see more cameras that address these limitations and offer a wider range of features to suit different shooting styles. In the meantime, it's worth considering whether the ZV-E10 II or a6700, despite their limitations, align with your specific photography or videography goals. Does that make sense?
Some of these things aren't necessary for apsc. Like dual memory recording. It's pretty rare a SD card dies while shooting. And having two SD card slots and full HDMI port, like some people want, would increase the body. Actually aps-c strength is compact size and cost effectnis. People who has such high needs will probably buy a full frame. But sure, the A6700 could have some more nifty perks to be more of an ultimate camera. Also at the more cheap Sony full frame lineup, there is also no all in one camera. ZV-E1 awesome stabilization, awesome 4k60, but no mechanical shutter. No evf. Alpha 7 IV has mechanical shutter and evf, but not the better stabilization, not the great microphone, 4k60 only with a big crop. So you need to decide. Or spending double the money to not having to decide.
Hello, just discovered your channel and like how you detail everything, since I’m thinking about getting into video in addition to my photography, maybe a dumb question but would you say the ZV-E10 II will be good enough for events like weddings or even the 6700? For either one I would get a gimbal so the lack of IBIS in one wouldn’t be a problem, thanks
The jittery footage of the A6700, even with active stabilization on, is a big let down. DJI shows how it can be done. Would personally prefer taking their Osmo Pocket 3 with me instead of both these cams.
@@thefilmalliance actually i didn't use any camera before in my life , i use to control my phone's camera manually 😂 + i've researched alot about cameras and i think ZV-E10 ii is better according to price

Hey, I get it. Choosing a camera can be overwhelming with so many options out there. It’s always hard for me to say without detailed context. To help, I made a 'Which Camera Should I Buy?' course and a free quiz. Check em out!
Do you think zv e10 mark 1 will be a good choice for my first camera? And if you think yes then can you suggest me a lens in my tight budget for versatility(daily vlogs/random)?
Thanks for your video, excellent work, congratulations. I have a question for you. If I am traveling, and need to record videos of my experiences, how would the Osmo Pocket 3 compare with the ZV E10 II? Which one you would recommend, and why? Imagine a trip to Europe. I have seen extensive videos from you, for the Osmos Pocket 3, so which or in which circumstances you will go with one or the other. Thanks
Thank you for your kind words and for watching my video. The Osmo Pocket 3 and ZV-E10 II are both excellent options for travel videography, but they cater to different needs. If you're looking for a compact, easy-to-use camera for casual vlogging and quick shots, the Osmo Pocket 3 is a great choice. However, if you prioritize image quality, creative control, and the ability to capture more professional-looking videos, the ZV-E10 II is the better option. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your specific needs and preferences. I recommend taking my camera quiz to help you narrow down your options. Have you taken it yet?
@@thefilmalliance Thanks a lot, yes I see all your videos the quality is excellent, you are one of my favorite RUclipsrs on this topic, so that you for your effort in trying to teach us. I want to take one of your courses. I currently have the Sony 6700, with 5 lenses. So I was thinking of buying the ZV E10 II for videos and as a second camera. But since for me is a hobby, I think for the moment I will purchase Osmo Pocket 3 and the Insta360 4X for more or less the same money, since I will use them as memories for my trips. So that is why I feel your courses will be a great help. Thanks for creating them. Also, your idea of using a dedicated camera instead of my iPhone was great, much more intention in filming my trips.
That's great to hear! I'm glad my videos have been helpful. Choosing the right camera for your needs is a big decision. While the Osmo Pocket 3 and Insta360 4X are great options for vlogging and capturing memories on the go, a dedicated camera like the ZV E10 II can offer more flexibility and better image quality, especially if you plan to do more serious video work in the future. If you're mainly interested in capturing memories for your trips and don't need all the bells and whistles of a full-fledged camera, the Osmo Pocket 3 or Insta360 4X might be a better fit. However, if you think you might want to explore more advanced video techniques or upgrade to a more serious camera setup in the future, the ZV E10 II could be a worthwhile investment. Ultimately, the best choice for you depends on your specific needs and budget. I'd recommend considering your long-term goals and doing some more research before making a decision.

@@thefilmalliance Hi, yes, I did the test and it turns out to be the 6700. Which I also actually agree with, but since there is so much talk about the ZVE10, you might have doubts. but the doubts disappear because the costs between the two are really thin. Can the 6700's viewfinder really be useful for video?

I was there at one point so I understand. Every camera has its different use for different applications. Have you tried taking my "Which Camera Should I Buy” course, or my free camera quiz? I made both of these for anyone new at all of this or struggling with their camera decision.
ZV-E10 II from what you told me. However, there’s a lot of factors that go into it. It depends on what you’re using them for. I created a camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for you Have you taken it yet?
Thank you for your feedback on the ZV-E10 II and a6700. It's interesting to hear your perspective on the pricing. While the ZV-E10 II does not offer several features like an electronic viewfinder, mechanical shutter, 4K slow motion, and bulb mode, it's important to consider the overall value proposition. Thes excellent image quality and video capabilities, make it a compelling option for many users especially beginners IMO. However, I understand that pricing is a significant factor for many consumers. It's always a good idea to compare prices across different retailers and consider any available discounts or promotions. Additionally, you might want to evaluate the long-term value of the camera based on your specific needs and usage patterns. Well at least thats how I think about it.
Greetings from Mexico I want to start a YT channel in the entertainment niche, I don't want to finish my capital in the best camera but I do want to have quality in my videos, sometimes I will record in the studio, sometimes in the green area and sometimes in my apartment, the idea is to record with a camera in hand mounted on a tripod, which camera do you think suits me best?
Hey Carlos, I get asked this question a lot. I created a "Which Camera Should I Buy" course and a free camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for you and your exact specific needs. Have you checked either of those out yet?
don't want to be that guy. but the security guards where in the wrong, everything you can see while on public property you can legally record(besides inside homes, but I'm assuming you weren't filming thought somebody's windows). if you where standing on side walk they can't tell you to stop recording cause you have all the rights to do so. Big L on them. they need to be trained better!
Iam a film maker please offer the one camera no one producing my movie because this is my first film so plz brother offer the one camera I do movie within 4months
As a beginner, I want to buy my first camera and only for photography, not videography. I don't know which one to choose between the 3 canon R8, a6700, and a6400. I would be grateful if someone could help me.
While I understand that there have been isolated cases of quality issues with Sony products, my personal experience with the ZV-E10 II and a6700 has been excellent. I've used it in various conditions, and it has held up very well. It's important to consider individual experiences and do your own research before making a decision
Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear that you prefer the color rendition of the ZV-E10 II. Color preferences can be subjective, and different cameras may have unique color profiles. It's interesting that you find the a6700's images to be oversaturated in sunlight. Do you own the a6700 or just basing that off of my shots?
@@thefilmalliance I based it on the videos, at 1:42 the left side looks better in color and on the right side there is more light and the outside does not show a noticeable difference like on the left side, I think it is because of the sunlight. Anyway, I really appreciate the content you make and the versus you make, I have been consuming your content for a long time and it is always a help and a pleasure to see.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad you noticed the differences in lighting and color between the left and right sides. Sunlight can definitely play a big role in how the exterior looks. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos and share your thoughts. Your support means a lot to me

@@KaeA-op7kyBut if you had waited for either, you might regret it when the mk3 and 6900 come out.

@thefilmalliance finally decided to get the a6700 😃
a6700 has IBIS, but was super surprised to see how much smoother the ZV-E10 ii's Active Stabilization was during the walking test. the a6700 was still super jittery
I know. That was pretty shocking to me as well. The ZV-E10 II stabilization seems so much better
the active stabilization is nice, but it crops you're video so small
I can definitely tell you put a lot of work behind your videos. Keep up the amazing work. Much love
Thanks, I appreciate it

Just got my hands on the zve10 mark ii , it’s my first camera very excited but kind of frustrating because I am not a pro , but I want to see its full potential
My only letdown from ZVE10 Mark 2 is the exclusion of a Mechanical Shutter which was present in ZVE10! I don't quite understand why they did it.
Hey there,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ZV-E10 II and a6700!.
@@nyohaku A6700 all the way if you're doing 90% stills!
A6700 with sigma 18-50 f2.8 and also tamron 70-180 G2 f2.8.... I've been using it for a few months now and so far so good 👍

I'm not a professional photographer/videographer but as someone who is always obsessed with quality of photos/videos, I identified the A6700 right away in the intro. Money is only my issue in choosing since the price difference is quite big and I'm not a fan of EVF. But I do want that 4k120fps.

The Alpha 6700's combination of IBIS and 4K60 capabilities makes it a strong contender
While the ZV-E10 II might not have IBIS, it offers other advantages, such as its lightweight design and dedicated vlogging features like the flip-up screen and built-in microphone.

The test i was looking for. Thanks super useful
Have you used the ZV-E10 II?
@@thefilmalliance unfortunately not. But I'm positive from both cameras from what I have seen.
Oh ok, I hear you then

I may be able to do that. Thanks for the suggestion
great sharing, both of them have advantage and weakness. i still stay patient and wait for next camera that include dynamic active stabilization in the sony e1.
aha this is a great point. That dynamic stabilization is unbelievable. SO im guessing the ZV-E1 is out of your budget range?
Im now looking for video comparison now. Thanks for this video
Please explain
It looks like ibis is important only for photos in a6700. For video I don't think even active stabilization is smooth. Zve10 mark 2 blew the a6700 out of the water in stabilization.(Kind of sad for a a6700 user like me.) BUT, Because zve 10 mark 2 has only electronic shutter, that factor alone is a deal breaker for me. Most people invest in their cameras and lenses for both photos and videos. And correct me if I'm wrong but mechanical shutter is really important for even a hobbyst. (No one wants bandings or some flickers in their photos.)
That’s great, Happy to know the quiz is working. Your going to love the a6700
Great content and comparison...I'm currently in the market for a "first" camera and I feel like the lack of mechanical shutter on the ZVE10 ii is pushing me either to go ZVE10 original with some nicer glass on the end of it or spend the coin for an A6700.
Great points for sure
Good stuff, yes that’s why I like the ZV-E10 II. It’s minimal but still excellent image quality
Thank you so much for thinking about us beginners. This was the video I needed. I think I made a good decision
Hey Tony, it’s my pleasure. Everyone is a beginner at one point. Which camera did you end up liking more? The ZV-E10 II?
@@thefilmalliance zve 10 m2
Sony Zv-e 10 ii good for video / sony a6700 good for photography
I like that summary. Do you own either the ZV-E10 II or the a6700 ?
The jittery footage of the A6700, even with active stabilization on, is a big let down. DJI shows how it can be done. Would personally prefer taking their Osmo Pocket 3 with me instead of both these cams.
True, yes the jitteriness is pretty jarring. The ZV-E10 II out performed the a6700 for sure
Very nice review 👍👍👍👍
Is IA autofocus helpful for making short films.
Cause I want this zv e10II 🙏
I’d use manual focus for films. And the right lens! Have you taken my lens quiz?
@@thefilmalliance thank you. I'm going to make the quizz right now 👍👍👍🙏
Nice, let me know what you come up with
Very good content bro , i've learnt alot from you , Thanks ❤
Thanks for that, Do you have a preference for which camera you like better? the ZV-E10 II or a6700?
@@thefilmalliance actually i didn't use any camera before in my life , i use to control my phone's camera manually 😂 + i've researched alot about cameras and i think ZV-E10 ii is better according to price
Great video ❤
I've a doubt can u suggest which camera is better for photography and video when i travel. As these cameras are good I don't know what to choose my choices are in this
Zve10,zve10ii, a6400 and a6700
A6700 is bit high in price and sigma 18-50lens will be good for these cameras or any other lens i was planning to buy lens in budget. As I'm to buy in budget if price is on higher side i will buy it later till then will use kit lens.
Please suggest which is good.
Thanks in advance 😊
Hey, I get it. Choosing a camera can be overwhelming with so many options out there. It’s always hard for me to say without detailed context. To help, I made a 'Which Camera Should I Buy?' course and a free quiz. Check em out!
Such quality video, well done!
Thank you, which camera did you like better? the a6700 or ZV-E10 II ?
@@thefilmalliance I understand the nice quality of life the ZV-E10 II has, but the quality of the image that the a6700 produces is unmatched!
Do you think zv e10 mark 1 will be a good choice for my first camera? And if you think yes then can you suggest me a lens in my tight budget for versatility(daily vlogs/random)?
11:17 Isn't the lack of a mechanical shutter only relevant for photography? I thought for video it's always electronic shutter anyway.
Jika anda diberi pilihan salah satu mana yang akan anda pilih Sony ZV-E10 II atau Sony a6700 ?
Hey man, would love an fx30 vs ZV E10 II vid
Good call ok will do. Do you own either the fx30 or the ZV-E10 II ?
Not currently, but I’ve got both added to my cart on Amazon haha
I have so many things added to my cart haha
Would you recommend the Sony Zv-e 10 ii for shooting music videos ?
That lack of IBIS really gave away the ZV-E10 II, called it within the first comparison.
Oh Ok I hear ya. Did you see the stabilization test? The ZV-E10 II seemed to have better handheld walking stabilization performance over the a6700
Can someone recommend a beginners camera + lens on a budget, planning to shoot photos on the street, architecture, nature. Will shoot some short video but not too much.
Great job and well done
ZV-E10II looks more cinematic :P something about the lower contrast and colors
That’s what I was thinking as well. That was a nice surprise
If I buy sonny ZV e10 ii course, can I apply to sonny a6700 if buy that camera?
Do they have the same settings? 15:48
given the small economic difference: does it make sense to invest in the 6700 instead of the ZVE10 MII for the viewfinder and stabilization?
It would really depend on what you are using them for in my opinion. Have you taken my camera quiz yet? It’s in the video description.
Correct me if I’m wrong but zv e10 ii seems to have better stabilization?
Yes, that is correct and the ibis in the a6700 did not improve that, interestingly.
@@thefilmalliance In other reviews, a6700 seems to be on par with zv e10 ii; very interesting and confusing. I really would like to go with a6700, I liked its colours more than zv e10 ii but I’m very confused.
For landscape photography, portraits and videography in street which would do better? I am a total noob..
I was there at one point so I understand. Every camera has its different use for different applications. Have you tried taking my "Which Camera Should I Buy” course, or my free camera quiz? I made both of these for anyone new at all of this or struggling with their camera decision.
Can we get an education course for the a6700 ?
Great idea. What particularly would you like to see with that?
by the way does e10ii have Lossless compressed RAW mode at 14bits or down to 12bits on single, continuous and long exposure NR?
Tôi đang muốn học chụp và quay 50/50, bạn có nghĩ tôi mua zve10ii tốt không khi tôi dùng lens 18-50 đi kèm nhưng tôi không dùng gimbal
Why does it look like active stab is better on the ZVE10 in your examples? is it actually better?
Yes, I couldn't believe it
You turn on 10Bit on zv but 8bit on a6700 ?
Wait what?
In Germany at the moment (official dealers!): A6700 body = €1199.- ZV E10 II body = € 1099.-. therefore: A6700 for sure
For 100 euro, I go for 6700. In Romania 6700 cost around 1700-1800 euro
What a cost differential. What will you be using the a6700 for?
Thats not bad. Did you pickup the a6700 already?

ZV-E10 II from what you told me. However, there’s a lot of factors that go into it. It depends on what you’re using them for. I created a camera quiz to help you figure out which camera is best for you Have you taken it yet?
Electronic viewfinder, mechanical shutter, 4k slow motion, bulb mode...
Zv e10 II is way overpriced.
I can clearly see a better Dynamic range in a 6700 damn.

It's my idea but the color of the ZVE10 II looks better, the Sony 6700 in sunlight looks very saturated image
