Hello Mark! Awesome video as always! I currently have the ZV-E10 (version 1). Do you think it’s a good idea to upgrade to the A6700? What camera would you recommend after the ZV-E10 V1?
I gonna buy the ZV E10 Mark II, because I only need it for vlogging. It‘s more beginner friendly and the size is perfect for travel. I will use the Sony 11mm fe1.8 lens and I‘m fine for almost every situation. By the way - I’m freakin love the cine vlog mode 🤘🏻
I disagree the thoughts at the end where you said $400 can be too much for someone when thinking of a6700 as an option. Going with either the cameras, if you add the cost of 2-3 lenses and accessories, this $400 no longer looks like a big cost. This is just Sony trying to upsell. Their most selling camera was E10, so they didn't want to replace it, instead they brought a new option at a price in between it and a6700 so that they can keep selling E10. And if some competitor brings something that threatens E10 sales, they will retire it and reduce the price of E10 ii. Plus, this will upsell some of E10 folks all the way upto a6700. A win-win for Sony no matter which you choose. Nothing wrong with it, just mentioning the product strategy here. In my opinion if this was at E10 price, it would have been fantastic no brainer option, and an instant buy. But at the current price, it is a pass. This was supposed to be a low cost camera, that was its main selling point. Once that is gone, it doesn't make much sense for its intended vlogging purpose without IBIS. It can be a great studio-camera, that's about it, but E10 can do the same anyway.
you may disagree - but you don’t know peoples’ budgets. some people can budget for one body and one lens. Read through my comments and you’ll see a bunch who don’t want to spend the extra on the a6700. I’m not saying anyone has to buy it, but it’s the cheapest way to get these features in the Sony lineup.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis People have differing budgets - true. But if budget was that much of a constraint, they are better off with older E10. No, I think Mark has his points. Spot on as well. If you want better images, lenses is the best way to go. I owned ZVE10mii and pre ordered the mark ii. First lens I grab is Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and it made significant improvement.
@@AngkelBee that sigma 18-50 is an incredible lens. Very happy I pulled the trigger on it when it was on sale. Even at normal price, I'd say it's an excellent buy.
That was a very detailed comparison. After seeing some other RUclipsrs review the new ZV-E10, I sort of already knew that the A6700 is more what I’m looking for. And this video made that even more obvious. Thank you for summarizing the differences between the cameras in such a detailed manner.
Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it. We're having an event next weekend at my store, and all the major vendors will be sending Reps (Revelations?) so hopefully I will be getting some hands-on time with this new unit. It is compellingly priced as a C-cam for those of us that already have the FX30 and A6700.
You mentioned overheating when using usb-c streaming. But what if you use hdmi with elgato camlink. Will they overheat then? And can you do 4K 60 with hdmi?
So I was excited about the new zve10 but I don’t think I’m going to upgrade mine right now. I have a A7iv a FX30 and the OG zve10. I don’t think that new camera will do much for me. I film in 1080 so the 4k doesn’t mean much. The battery life would be nice but I like a mechanical shutter for photos and the price was a bit higher than I expected. I think for now I’ll keep the OG zve10
You read my mind with this video. Was literally just thinking about which was the better cam and lo and behold which video is sitting on my homepage when I opened youtube... many thanks as always.
Hi Mark. I've been considering using the new E10 II outside in a tropical climate (Thailand). If using 4k 24 or 30fps, how long do you think it'll realistically last? And would that cooling fan you mentioned make any meaningful difference? Thanks!
Damn you are quick :D I'm in the a6700 camp. If someone is slightly interested in photography, the EVF and the mechanical shutter is more then just a bonus. And for video the pro list is so damn long as listed literally in this video. Paying 40% more sounds very high, but this is one of the rare cases where I would say paying the 40% brings you more then 40% value - as long photography is an interest. Great job Mark! Curious which kind of comparison you will pump out next :D How about Sony ZVE10 II vs. Lumix S9? 🤔
Hi mark, great comparison. They should've included mechanical shutter at least at this price point 😢. Also is the a6700's 4k is 6k downsampled right? But the zve10 m2's is 5.6k downsampled. Is this a downgrade?
Great video!! I have an A6700 and love it! Do you think you could make a short video (or even community post?) about setting up the A6700 to act like product showcase mode? And even map it to a custom button? I'm sure many others would love to know as well. I use my A6700 for product reviews, so it would definitely come in handy. Thanks!
With the taking photos while filming, is it only single shots or can you do bursts as-well? I’m hoping to get the zv -e10 2 with a sony 18-105 at some stage later on here in Australia. Btw love your videos.👏
The fx30 is amazing - a professional workhorse. But it is not full frame - just to be clear. The ZV-E1 is an excellent full frame upgrade to the ZV-E10
Thanks Mark. To be honest, I think ZV e10 ll is a weird release from Sony! You pay the price for an upgrade, but it's not an actual upgrade compared to Mark I. We're in 2024, it has the label of vlogging camera but it doesn't have IBIS! If you only want something for vlogging and simplicity, Osmo Pocket 3 is a way better choice in my opinion (I stopped using my a7s iii in favour of that for vlogs). If you need photography as well as video, and price is an important factor, ZV e10 Mark I is still a great choice. If you're happy to pay more for a more professional body, go for a6700. Simple 😁
Thank for your video about the zve10 mark II, I'm about to get one next month, but just want to ask you one more thing, which one have a better grip to hold ? a6700 or zv e10 mark II ?
Great content Mark, thank you. Im coming from the ZVe10 and looking to upgrade, the A6700 has been on my radar for a while, I don't mind the extra bucks cause I do think its worth it myself. Thanks for the in depth review!
The correct launch price for ZV-E10ii under the current spec should have been $850, although I still think they intentionally cut too many corners that won't necessarily save them much cost.
This is the only points that I think mark ii misses a bit. But looking at ZV1mii launch price is already heavy but horrendous features, I think it is also because of current's economic performance. Though I wish it was more affordable as people bought mark i one of it because of its affordable price.
It doesn't really hit you when you look at them in videos, but I was a little bit shocked at how much larger the a6700 body is when handling display units in the store. It's pretty much larger than an a7c, even if it is a little lighter. I know I'm a minority but that was actually a real deterrent for me. I like to be able to bring my camera all over the place and not draw attention, and I also regularly bring a bunch of camera stuff while climbing mountains so every bit of weight and bulk I can save is very welcome. Specs wise the a6700 is perfect, but I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger, and although I wish the zv-e10ii could do a little bit more, I'm feeling like I would probably be getting it over the a6700.
The zv-e10ii will be better because it has product showcase mode and other helpful beginner modes. It can take all sony e-mount lenses (there are hundreds!!)
I like to shoot videos and take photos. I want to be able to make short films, RUclips talking head videos, and do some sports videography. I currently have an R10 but it doesn't have good stabilization and has no log. There also isn't a good selection of quality lenses for RF-S and I am considering selling it and switching to a Sony ZV-E10 ii or a6700. Which would you recommend for my use case? Eventually, I'd like to do some paid gigs once I build my skills with these cameras.
hi Mark thank you for this comparison it really helps to decide which camera to buy. I have one question , when you connect an external monitor through hdmi or through usb-c to a mobile phone (to use Monitor+ app as a monitor) does eye autofocus works in 4K-30/4K-60? I am asking it for both cameras. ZV-E10 supports up to 1080p and no possibility to use eye autofocus in 4K , I was wondering if any of these cameras support 4K with external monitor connected?
Did I miss something - are you going to hang on to little Dougie even after getting the Mark II Dougie? BTW, how do you set up the A6700 (or maybe the RX100 VII) to do Product Showcase and apply it to a custom button? It is only Product Showcase that keeps me with the ZV-E10, and if there is a practical way to achieve it on the A6700 I would jump ship to the camera with the EVF.
I consider that this ZV-E10 MK2 does not have the same impact in quality/price ratio compared to its predecessor. That said, the 6700 is the undisputed queen of Sony's APSC range. I take this opportunity to ask you, does the 6700 also have dual ISO like the FX30 and if so, despite not having the Cinema EI function, can it work in flexible ISO with the same principles of dual ISO for this 800 & 2500 sensor? Thank you in advance for your response, greetings.
Saving up for the 6700 instead of upgrading my ZVE10 to the new mark 2, have a nifty 50 from Sigma and the E 1.8/11mm already and they work great right now so will hopefully be able to use those on the 6700 as well.
Thanks for a great comparison. Any information on the difference in terms of Native ISO when shooting SLog3. I'm under the impression the 6700 has dual ISO?
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you, just watched your other video comparing ZV-E10ii to the FX30 in low light. I think that says it all there. Thank you again for the help.
Hey Mark, can you please tell how long of a recording we can get with a6700 at 4k 120 If the recording situation is NOT air cooled and we are using something like the ulanzi fan? Awesome comparison as always!
Hi Mark, Thanks for all the videos and tips. Please could you make a video on which Sony camera is the best overall for live streaming, and which setup gives the best results. thanks again
Go for e10. I got 3 of them, you can get multiple angles for cheap, it’s better to have more angles. They are on tripod so you don’t need all the fancy stuff
I know you recommended the A7C last time to me because of better temp. Now im torn with this because of your videos. May i know which one would you recommend for a 25-30c ambient temp with external monitor for talking head like this as well? A7C? Zv e10 ii or a6700?
I’ve always wanted a camera. I was tempted to get the zve10. But put it off as it had already been out for a while so for the last 6 months I’ve been waiting for this. There is a lot of talk about videos etc. if I want a good camera for pics. How does the zve10ii do. A grand is a good price I could do.
Would you consider the a6700 an upgrade to the a7iii? I prefer full frame but the a7iii is just missing so many useable features for video that both of these cameras have.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisisthank you. I’m just in search of a B Cam for video so I’ll be sure to use your affiliate link if I decide to purchase the 6700.
Hi, I am a beginner photographer & content creator and I want to invest in a new beginner camera. I have a budget for a Tamron 17-70mm f2.8, and should I invest extra money in the camera body (ZVE10-M2) or should I buy a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and ZVE10? I have a limited budget, so please suggest something.
I would probably get the new zv-e10 ii and use the 17-70 for everything until you have a budget for more lenses later. The 17-70 will still be good at 30 mm f2.8.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks for the reply! I'm filming storytelling reels, travel vlogs, and doing travel photography. In some other reviews I've heard that the ZV-E10 II has some heating issues, and since I live in a hot country like India, most of my videos will be shot outside. Is it still a good investment for me?
I think zv-e10II is in a weird spot, as it is neither a budget camera nor a mid-level camera. It's too expensive (compared to zv-e10m1) . If it was $800, it'd be an instant buy. Or for $1200, if it had 4k120, IBIS, and weather seal body, then it would be an instant buy, too.
Yes i agree. Weird spot. I cannot recommend mark ii for most of my friends. I would recommended them mark i as they arent cinema purist like I am. Just casual users who wants point to shoot stuff.
Agree. The price tag throws value off. Sub $999 was a huge selling point. $749-$800 w/o lens is the sweet spot. At $999, the 6700 at $1399 is a better deal.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks so much it’s my very first camera , you were extremely helpful in making a decision couldn’t decide between the A7 lV or A 7cii , thanks again , your vids are awesome
Hello, I have been using sony zv e10 with kit lense for almost a year now. Im thinking to upgrade but too tight on budget. What cheap lense would you suggest. Probably a prime 24 or 35
That's tough, because the ZV-E10ii is a much better video camera and the A6600 is a better ohoto camera. If you're shooting a lot of video though, I would opt for the ZV-E10ii probably
Great Video. Thanks for the reviews. I still want the A6700, but the mark ii is making a compelling argument on why I should buy it. Maybe I NEED both. Keep up the good work! I sub'd.
the only time i think getting a zv-e10 ii would make sense is 1. you focus entirely on making vlogs or 2. you need a second lighter body to the fx3 / fx30 or a6700 if you do video work otherwise if: - you need a camera that can do 50/50 photo & video - weather sealed body - you need 4k120 then its a nobrainer a6700
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis How do the buttons feel on the e10.2? One of the few complaints I had about the original e10 was the un-dampened feel of the buttons. Thanks.
I own the FX30 and I absolutely love it. the new ZV-E10 looks amazing and it's very tempting....but I think I would still get the A6700. For b-roll and better photos. That EVF is a big selling point. But the price of these (ZV-E10) almost makes you buy it without knowing anything about it. Great review Mark, always enjoy your take on these gadgets. be well!
After years of neglect, Sony's APS-C line seems like its most fully fleshed out. I think the combination of FX30 for pro video and A6700 for b-roll/stills would be hard to beat, with the ZV-E10II being a great entry point for beginners.
Here in India i am getting sony ev10 mark 2 as same price with sony Alpha a6600 ...which one should i pick for better HRD performance in photo or video
Is it possible to use active stabilization and OSS from kit16502 on any Sony camera? I am wondering if using it on the original ZV-E10 will provide extra smoothness, as the electronic stabilization on that camera is pretty low. I am hoping that this new lens, together with Catalyst Browse, will enhance the stabilization to the level of the ZV-E1. The only terrible thing is the cropping, which becomes significant!
hey Mark got a question for you, I record in slog3 and i do hreat shooting in manual and exposing to the right but when i need a run and gun setup dont know how to do it, I’m setting up 1/50 shutter mode and +1,7 exposure but dont know how tu take it with the nd filter so , let me know if u know an essier way. Thank you so muchh. Love your content
Is the lack of 10 bit processing a new "feature" of free Catalyst Browse or did it convert all my A7IV 10 bit footage to 8 bit and I didn't notice? Perfect comparison, thank you ! MkI vs MKII next? Definitely will watch !
What most people don't consider when asking why any company leaves features out of one product versus another is the ability to sell the lesser product at an even lower price than it's typical listing price while still making money. The A6700 might have enough margin for Sony to discount it $200 while still making enough to be profitable. While the ZV-E10 II could like be discounted the same $200 while maintaining a higher total margin or at a $300 discount while still eaking out a profit and making up the difference on volume. And when it's on sale for $799 and the A6700 isn't on sale that makes the ZV-E10 II seem like an even greater value to those who are just going to use it as a video platform. Now it's a $600 savings and that's a decent lens and tripod worth of difference. Not to mention that when the ZV-E10 II is bought at it's typical list price there's even more margin going into Sony's pockets than when the A6700 is bought at typical retail. You also have to keep in mind that marketing matters. A lot of people simply don't understand that something like the A6700 is an equal and often better video platform just because it's not marketed as a "creators" camera. Remember, the target audience isn't pro photographers or videographers who understand all the specs. There are plenty of amateurs who need marketing to tell them what they are buying. Also, don't forget the market for those looking for a secondary camera for video where they just don't need all the features and want to save some money. I have long used a Sony camcorder with great results when I wanted video but now that I have a Sony A6600 and an A7IV having the ability to use the same lenses on a less expensive "video-centric" rig sounds appealing.
The photo quality is not better, but there are times you need mechanical shutter - like under certain LED lights - Sio the a6700 will be better for that
I bought my E10 mk1 half a year ago. I love it but I was prepared to buy the mk2 when it shows up. But mk2 looks like as bulky as A6700 (detailed size comparison would be cool) and it's too expansive. That's 1000 bucks I can put forwards to A6700. Also, here in Czech Repiblic the difference is approx 300 USD. I already do have bunch of lenses, so no rush to keep the difference money. I'll just stick with my OG Duggie a bit longer. ❤
Mark you read my mind 😅 Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks. Would you consider doing a comparison between the 6700 and fuji x-s20? The open gate format is really tempting me for shooting for both vertical and horizontal videos…
When more crop is used, it reduces the number of pixels to be processed & less time for rolling shutter. At 4K120p, the ZV-E10 II would overheat far fast than the a6700. They pick features they think the cheaper/different market segment can do without, especially the ones that can make manufacturing it cheaper. Compromises vs perceived value to upgrade. I wonder if they could sell the a6700 cheaper & save the bother of designing/supporting yet more models. Can they make the mic, EVF, screen & flash as modular add-ons so users pick what's important each day/hour to swap?
Good to know! So there are some video/vlogging-centric differences that favor the ZV-E10 II, compared to the a6700, if they're both at full price. And also the fact that ZV-E10 II is better than a6700 when it comes to overheating. The ZV-E10 1, being so small, wasn't great, but there the battery would probably die a bit sooner than from overheating. Don't know if you mentioned the tally light, which I would personally would want in any hybrid camera. It's nice both for you to know that you're rolling if you're in front of the camera, and for your talent as well it can be useful. Really liked it on my ZV-E10 1. As well as that, the ZV cameras are very funny once you put the wind muffs on, they look to have either a fro, or an Elvis-style hair. Other than that, there is quite a lot of overlap in video, for many Sony cameras with relatively close prices: - ZV-E10 II / a6700 - FX30 / ZV-E1 So it also depends on whether one does only vlogging, or wants to have a great event video camera. Or a great photography travel camera as well. Or just IBIS. So it can be hard to choose. And probably the ZV-E10 1 will be sold for a lot of time, because the ZV-E10 II is not actually a replacement, but a higher-entry-level camera, and their prices also reflect that. And the ZV-E10 1 is also smaller and a bit lighter.
I got the a6700 instead, more features which the zve10 II lacks, i preordered the zve10 coz it was only availbale preorder, while eating dinner they messeged me the a6700 was availble so i took it, im happy with the a6700 with my vitrox 23mm 1.4 from my ol;d a5100
Thank you Mark Another advantage of the 6700: uncompressed RAW, which in low light or astrophotography is a must. Of course that only makes sense for photography. Cheers.

And for video the pro list is so damn long as listed literally in this video. Paying 40% more sounds very high, but this is one of the rare cases where I would say paying the 40% brings you more then 40% value - as long photography is an interest.
Great job Mark! Curious which kind of comparison you will pump out next :D
How about Sony ZVE10 II vs. Lumix S9? 🤔
Hi mark, great comparison. They should've included mechanical shutter at least at this price point 😢. Also is the a6700's 4k is 6k downsampled right? But the zve10 m2's is 5.6k downsampled. Is this a downgrade?
I did a pre-order! Looking for a lighter version setup compared to my zve1 with full frame lenses. I always use CB too but wish they added ibis!
Excellent breakdown/ comparison Mark!
Thanks, Jason!!
Mark, I appreciate you making this. 👊🏻
I appreciate you commenting
Hi Mark, I think I'll buy the ZV-E10 m2. I will use it in 4k 50fps. Which SD card do you recommend me? Thanks and keep going!! 🤗
Great video! Would love to see a comparative between the OG ZV-E10 and the Mark II
on the way
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis filing a request for a comparison of 1080p footage quality between the two!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisiswhen will you upload it🫣😂😂?
I’m about to pull the trigger on the ZVE10 M2 as my first camera 🫣
Great video!! I have an A6700 and love it! Do you think you could make a short video (or even community post?) about setting up the A6700 to act like product showcase mode? And even map it to a custom button? I'm sure many others would love to know as well. I use my A6700 for product reviews, so it would definitely come in handy. Thanks!
With the taking photos while filming, is it only single shots or can you do bursts as-well?
I’m hoping to get the zv -e10 2 with a sony 18-105 at some stage later on here in Australia.
Btw love your videos.👏
Only single shots
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks 👍
Hi Mark, would you still recommend buying FX30? I have ZVE10 and planning to upgrade to full frame.
The fx30 is amazing - a professional workhorse. But it is not full frame - just to be clear. The ZV-E1 is an excellent full frame upgrade to the ZV-E10
The review i have been waiting for . Thanks, Mark . Excellent video ..
Both really great, but I prefer the a6700 slightly. Deeper grip
Great content Mark, thank you. Im coming from the ZVe10 and looking to upgrade, the A6700 has been on my radar for a while, I don't mind the extra bucks cause I do think its worth it myself. Thanks for the in depth review!
Between these two, A6700 particularly if I can get it at a good used price.
The correct launch price for ZV-E10ii under the current spec should have been $850, although I still think they intentionally cut too many corners that won't necessarily save them much cost.
It would have flown off the shelves at that price. would have loved to see it. even 898
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Considering how much cheaper ZV-E1 is compared to a7S3 without cutting too many corners, I think $850 is reasonable.
This is the only points that I think mark ii misses a bit. But looking at ZV1mii launch price is already heavy but horrendous features, I think it is also because of current's economic performance. Though I wish it was more affordable as people bought mark i one of it because of its affordable price.
@@AngkelBee ZV-1ii is a bust no doubt. Sub$1k market is very competitive, especially against iPhone and Pocket 3.
Just wait a few months and it’ll be $850.
Sony zve10ii vs Sony a6400. Which one is good for photography, and little bit Videography?
A6400
the video I've been waiting for!!
Hi Mark, which one performs better in low light video?
they perform exactly the same - same sensor
It doesn't really hit you when you look at them in videos, but I was a little bit shocked at how much larger the a6700 body is when handling display units in the store. It's pretty much larger than an a7c, even if it is a little lighter. I know I'm a minority but that was actually a real deterrent for me. I like to be able to bring my camera all over the place and not draw attention, and I also regularly bring a bunch of camera stuff while climbing mountains so every bit of weight and bulk I can save is very welcome. Specs wise the a6700 is perfect, but I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger, and although I wish the zv-e10ii could do a little bit more, I'm feeling like I would probably be getting it over the a6700.
yea, it’s always best to get hands on!!
A7cii has the same body size as the a6700
I'm planning to get one of these cameras. I've only ever had cameras with a zoom rocker. How do you zoom the lens on the a6700 without a zoom rocker?
is the Auto-Focus performance same ? between the 2 camaras ?
Not the same. But still one of the best AF Systems out there for apsc in the Sony lineup.
I don’t see people talking about this,as a beauty creator will the zve10ii be better?? And what other lenses can the zve10ii take??
The zv-e10ii will be better because it has product showcase mode and other helpful beginner modes. It can take all sony e-mount lenses (there are hundreds!!)
I like to shoot videos and take photos. I want to be able to make short films, RUclips talking head videos, and do some sports videography. I currently have an R10 but it doesn't have good stabilization and has no log. There also isn't a good selection of quality lenses for RF-S and I am considering selling it and switching to a Sony ZV-E10 ii or a6700. Which would you recommend for my use case? Eventually, I'd like to do some paid gigs once I build my skills with these cameras.
definitely the a6700
Can you compare ZV-E1 and ZV-E10 ii?
If I will buy a6700 what is the best budget lense less than 400bucks?
hi Mark thank you for this comparison it really helps to decide which camera to buy.
I have one question , when you connect an external monitor through hdmi or through usb-c to a mobile phone (to use Monitor+ app as a monitor) does eye autofocus works in 4K-30/4K-60? I am asking it for both cameras. ZV-E10 supports up to 1080p and no possibility to use eye autofocus in 4K , I was wondering if any of these cameras support 4K with external monitor connected?
yea, these cameras keep eye autofocus connected to to monitors and the app
Did I miss something - are you going to hang on to little Dougie even after getting the Mark II Dougie?
BTW, how do you set up the A6700 (or maybe the RX100 VII) to do Product Showcase and apply it to a custom button? It is only Product Showcase that keeps me with the ZV-E10, and if there is a practical way to achieve it on the A6700 I would jump ship to the camera with the EVF.
absolutely loved the details listed for both camera , I was looking for such detailed video between A6700 and ZV E10II
Is the Sony ZV-E10 ii any good at photography, is there a huge difference. Or I would get the more expensive sony a6700.
if you do a lot of photography I would get the a6700
Is the JPEG during video just a framegrab from the video ? Or is it same as clicking a picture ?
Saving up for the 6700 instead of upgrading my ZVE10 to the new mark 2, have a nifty 50 from Sigma and the E 1.8/11mm already and they work great right now so will hopefully be able to use those on the 6700 as well.
Thanks for a great comparison. Any information on the difference in terms of Native ISO when shooting SLog3. I'm under the impression the 6700 has dual ISO?
It’s the same. The zv-e10ii has the dual iso as well at 2500
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you, just watched your other video comparing ZV-E10ii to the FX30 in low light. I think that says it all there. Thank you again for the help.
Hey Mark, can you please tell how long of a recording we can get with a6700 at 4k 120
If the recording situation is NOT air cooled and we are using something like the ulanzi fan?
Awesome comparison as always!
even with the fan, you can’t expect more than 15 minutes of 4k120
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis okay so 10-15 minutes we can expect right? Thats more than enough!
Hi, should i buy zve10 ii or a6700 for outdoor and indoor vloging ?
the a6700 will be a bit better if the cost isn't a factor
Hi Mark,
Thanks for all the videos and tips. Please could you make a video on which Sony camera is the best overall for live streaming, and which setup gives the best results. thanks again
seconded.
I would still go with the A7C
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thank you, hopefully next month will be able to save for the A7C!
It's an upgrade in video, but photos I still prefer full frame overall. If you can swing it, the A7CII sounds perfect for you
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisisthank you.
Great video. I think I will be sticking with my A6700 for sure. I could still tell a difference in the clips. Thank you for the video!
Great point here! They know what they are doing. But guess what, I'll just keep my money or keep researching
Are the cooling fans a good investment for an A7 lV or better yet Sony Cameras generally speaking
they're great for the Sony's.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thanks so much it’s my very first camera , you were extremely helpful in making a decision couldn’t decide between the A7 lV or A 7cii , thanks again , your vids are awesome
I have the 6700, but wanted a studio vlog specific camera. Is this worth it, and is it at all usable for street photography
it’s useable for photography for sure. you just have to watch out for LED flicker and really fast moving objects.
Do you think Sony will give a software update later to integrate 4K 120fps or dynamic stabilization?
Wow thank you so much for this awesome review, that 12% vs 33% active crop really made my decision easy for this one!
Hello, I have been using sony zv e10 with kit lense for almost a year now. Im thinking to upgrade but too tight on budget. What cheap lense would you suggest. Probably a prime 24 or 35
what focal length are you shooting on the kit lens?
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis mostly between 24 and 35

One of my favorite camera/gear channels. ❤
I can buy a used 6600 for $900... for hybrid would you get the 6600 or ZV-E10ii?
That's tough, because the ZV-E10ii is a much better video camera and the A6600 is a better ohoto camera. If you're shooting a lot of video though, I would opt for the ZV-E10ii probably
Great Video. Thanks for the reviews. I still want the A6700, but the mark ii is making a compelling argument on why I should buy it. Maybe I NEED both. Keep up the good work! I sub'd.
the only time i think getting a zv-e10 ii would make sense is
1. you focus entirely on making vlogs or
2. you need a second lighter body to the fx3 / fx30 or a6700 if you do video work
otherwise if:
- you need a camera that can do 50/50 photo & video
- weather sealed body
- you need 4k120
then its a nobrainer a6700
thanks for liking this sir Mark! been following your cam reviews and as always .. its very well made !! kudooos
@MarkBennettCameraCrisis How do the buttons feel on the e10.2? One of the few complaints I had about the original e10 was the un-dampened feel of the buttons. Thanks.
nice responsive buttons n the new one
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisisMuch appreciated.
Great review Mark, always enjoy your take on these gadgets. be well!
Have you tried the overheating on USB-C streaming but at 1080p, 60 FPS? I would use this product for RUclips content creation "studio" mainly.
After years of neglect, Sony's APS-C line seems like its most fully fleshed out. I think the combination of FX30 for pro video and A6700 for b-roll/stills would be hard to beat, with the ZV-E10II being a great entry point for beginners.
Here in India i am getting sony ev10 mark 2 as same price with sony Alpha a6600 ...which one should i pick for better HRD performance in photo or video
for video, the zv-e10ii is much better. For photo, the a6600 is better
Can you use the VPR-1 remote with a power zoom lens on the mark 2??
It's really strange here in thailand the retail price difference is 277usd only
What if I have a Sony A6400 now and don't have the green to get a A6700 ( video concerned only ) should I wait or buy the ZVE10 Mark II

Is the lack of 10 bit processing a new "feature" of free Catalyst Browse or did it convert all my A7IV 10 bit footage to 8 bit and I didn't notice? Perfect comparison, thank you ! MkI vs MKII next? Definitely will watch !
it has always been converting it. But like I mentioned - looks fine to me
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Indeed I never noticed !
I have long used a Sony camcorder with great results when I wanted video but now that I have a Sony A6600 and an A7IV having the ability to use the same lenses on a less expensive "video-centric" rig sounds appealing.
the price differnce is 300 bucks, what do you think zve10 m2 or a6700?
The a6700 is worth the extra money if it's in the budget. But if doing video alone, and you don't plan to use 4k120, the zv-e10ii is the way to go.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis and is the photo quality actually better on the a6700?
This video did justice.
For me just the viewfinder is a dealbreaker.
Forbes DEFINITELY said that. I even saw the video in times Square on the big screens. Crazy part is, Ive never been to new York!
Facts!!
Other than that, there is quite a lot of overlap in video, for many Sony cameras with relatively close prices:
- ZV-E10 II / a6700
- FX30 / ZV-E1
So it also depends on whether one does only vlogging, or wants to have a great event video camera.
That was fast :o Keep the ZV-E10 II x ZV-E10 x A6700 videos comin'!
I have the ZV-e10. I love it. But I would love to have a 6700. It checks my boxes.
I got the a6700 instead, more features which the zve10 II lacks, i preordered the zve10 coz it was only availbale preorder, while eating dinner they messeged me the a6700 was availble so i took it, im happy with the a6700 with my vitrox 23mm 1.4 from my ol;d a5100
Thank you Mark
Another advantage of the 6700: uncompressed RAW, which in low light or astrophotography is a must. Of course that only makes sense for photography.
Cheers.
thanks for mentioning
E10 mark II doesn't shoot uncompressed RAW stills?
Perfect video! Could you confirm that minimum ISO for SLog3 in ZVE10 2 1000 or 800?
The Base ISO for SLog3 is 800 on the ZV-E10ii
