Mark! I love your channel because you get what 9/10 channels dont get - to be humble and not so pretentious. You know your shit, and you make it fun and easy to understand all the technical stuff. Been following you since the start 👊 Thanks a lot!
The smaller crop and improved E-stabe + the Sony 11mm truly is the ultimate vlogging setup. That really looks like it doesn't need a gimbal for most situations!
I just started following Mark for his camera comparisons and this one did not disappoint. I still feel for the price difference you would get amazing video with the ZV-E10 over the Mark II. From all the videos I've seen this morning about Sony's new camera, I don't think the upgrades are worth an extra $350. For that difference you should be able to purchase a solid lens. Wonderful video as always, good sir.
Difficult to choose, as the price difference allows you to buy a good lens that overcomes the original ZV-E10's weaknesses, such as active stabilisation.
by that, do you mean using a lens with a smaller focal length with active stabilization or a lens with its own stabilization? If so what lens would you recommend for the later option as that's my main problem with the zve10
Awesome video as expected ! Great camera except the pricing. It's not out yet in Hong Kong, but A6700 is $1150 here, or even less as open box, too close. ZV-E10 is the price performance champ, I think $799 would have been adequate, current price is a little greedy.
This may have been a blessing in disguise having to hold out from buying an FX30 due to losing my job 😭 I had no idea this was coming so this was an amazing surprise to see when I got home this morning. Thank you, Mark!
I feel you, I am trying to buy a 25mm and 85mm Zeiss CP.3 lens for $4500 each and then my client died, so now I'm out $1000 a week in income. On top of that my Audi needs new breaks, and new tires.
I just got my second ZV-E10 for €550 new, so even if mark 2 is 1K in EU (which I imagine it won't be) that is twice as pricier. And it being without a mechanical shutter, A6700 looks much more attractive (aside from the added heft). Even yet a mark 1 + Sigma 18-50 2.8 which comes out about the same as mark 2 kit.
Lack of mechanical shutter is a huge bummer at $1,000. Electronic shutter will be bad at 16ms sensor readout, while ZV-E1 also lacks mechanical shutter, but its sensor readout is twice as fast at 8ms.
Well done! I'm a proud owner of the ZVE10 and going strong for over 2 years with it on my RUclips channel. I'll keep it as a 2nd camera as I move to this new MK2. Fantastic!
Please do more analysis on the kit lens too. I have the Sigma 18-50, with no desire to get rid of it, but tempted to pickup the new kit lens for when I want my camera to be actually pocketable or letting my nieces use my camera without being as afraid of damage.
Its too expensive, they didn't need a lot of the pro features that upped the price and still would of been amazing. The audience that bought into the mark 1 don't care for 10 bit ( as much as I like the idea of it ), the mark 1 popularity main reason was price to feature/performance.
Speak for youself, I want to be able to get 10bit at a discount, without these features you highlighted there would be no sense in upgrading from the 1st zve10, I do pro work and welcome the hundreds of dollars in savings😊
@@tribaltheadventurer I speak for the people whom made this camera line very popular. And if you do pro work, you will already have said type of camera that can do this. At this price, this camera line and support will fail very easily, its also in clutching range of the Sony A73 or a7c price wise also which actually makes for a better camera.
Wow!!! Such a great video! Thank you for this! I haven’t gotten excited about a camera in a long time. I might get this over the fx6 and wait for the fx6 mark ii.
lack of active stab is a strong no go for me! i will enjoy my a6700 or my zev1 dynamic stab. the active stab on a6700 is crappy anyway lol does this support wifi 5ghz or is it crippled with the 2.4 ghz? what about the cpu speed? is it using the same cpu as a6700 and fx30? does it suport 4k usb streaming?
I can understand why people are complaining about not having IBIS, but don’t get the mechanical shutter argument for a camera that’s targeted to people who want a mainly video camera. It seems like if you want a hybrid camera, it would just be better to go for a Sony A6700 or Mark I. The actual video functions look better to me with the new version as a lay person. Great review Mark!

I don't know, maybe You should - I haven't seen Your face" 😄 I'm looking forward to your ZV-E10 vs ZV-E10ii comparo, hopefuly with more real footages. 👍 That 33% crop-in is a bit tight for my liking, but otherwise, this is Sony's better model follow up than ZV-1 mkii was. Agree on 4k120fps - should've been an option, even for just 2 minutes as you mentioned.
No IBIS, no mechanical shutter, no EFV, no 4K120, no AI chip and increase in price is all a bit disappointing, but the update was much needed to bring 10bit and a consistent user interface. The value doesn't seem amazing though considering the A6700 is available now for just a little more.
for me, the size and weight is nice, product showcase more can be useful. the Usbc streaming for longer is the big one for me, but overall, if I had to choose one camera, the a6700 would be a better fit for me
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I didn't realise the A6700 can't stream over USB-C for long? - I almost bought it but then decided on the ZV-E1 which can stream in 4K for 6+ hours with no issues (if you open the side doors, otherwise it overheats), I'm so glad I got that one :)
Hello Little Dougie Jr! Okay, so for the first time I'm seriously thinking of upgrading. The larger battery and longer shoot times, higher resolution live streaming capability, user LUTS, better sensor, 4.2.2 video. All this is so tempting. Will wait for the head-to-head comparison to see how Dougie Sr holds up though. Great video, Mark!
Great review Mark! First video I watched about this and now I know everything I needed to know. Definitely better than the ZV-E10, but not that much for me to reasonably consider upgrading. No AI AF, no 4K120 or Dynamic Stabilization. That's what I really wanted to see. 4K60, 4K30 streaming and better clear image zoom are nice. I would use all of them. Who knows, I might get one.
Sorry, but this camera is an insult to Sony users. -No IBIS. In a "vlogging camera" released in 2024. -Because you don't have IBIS, you have to do a giant crop for digital stabilization which a.) degrades image quality, b.) narrows your field of view so much that you can only use ultra wide angle lenses and c.) is completely useless for photography where you are restricted to the few old and mediocre OSS lenses. -No 4k/120 and no 1080p/240 although the sensor CAN DO IT. Which means: They are voluntarily crippling down the capabilities of the camera's hardware. -No mechanical shutter which severely limits the camera's usability for photography -Crappy plastic, non weather sealed build quality -No AI AF chip although they have the tech. Once again: They're voluntarily crippling this camera down All of this would be somehow acceptable if this was a cheap budget camera for 700-800$. But it isn't. 1000$ for body only means probably 1200€ in Europe - which is slightly below the price for an a6700 or a Fuji XS-20 which are both MASSIVELY superior cameras - and massively superior especially for vlogging: The a6700 gives you IBIS plus only 13% crop for digital stabilization which is almost gimbal like when used with a Sony wide angle lens. For this price, the ZV-E10 II is completely unacceptable and I hope Sony will be severely punished by the market for it.
Made a solid little camera even better, very nice. I was 50/50 on the original a few years back. Waiting on the FX30 II, personally, for my upgrade to my a6400 (which I went with instead, it was actually a video of yours, Mark, that helped me make that decision).
Great video as always... i already got the original ZVE10 and i was waiting on purchase the MKII but after seen this video is a no go for me unafortunately... i wanted primary for sports photos and with no mechanic shutter i dont think is going to work on fast speed action... just wanted a cheap oriented photo camera and i think i ill buy another original ZV E10 for that purpose... i would love that Sony launch a photo dedicated APSC camera like A7R models but more afordable and with less video features, just for photos, i would buy it today Love to everyone ❤
Finally got your video, brhhhh It's been a day of official launch, and we hadn't a video from our favourite zve10 camera guy 😂 Great love and appreciation for such great and valuable content
Hey Mark , great video! Is there anyway we could get a video of how much the clear image zoom was improved? I’ve been watching you for over a year so now and I’ve been really liking your videos!
I use clear image zoom all the time On my A7c2 and my ZV E10. The mark2 rectifies the no eye auto focus while zooming in clear image zoom. Mark, love your channel. You helped me make my decision on on my ZV E10 and the sigma 18-50. Then you helped me buy the Viltrox 13mm 1.8. So thank you Sir.
Little Dougie got a little brother! Recorded video on my ZV E1 and FCP couldn't read the file, I have to go back and see what file format I selected, maybe a H265 codec. I'm a Canon guy spreading my wings after you convinced me to buy a ZV E10 (b-roll and overhead box opening video) and ZV E1 (a-roll) Cheers!
Thank you, Mark. I was looking forward to this one coming out. I got the original one after your recommendations on it. I'm torn between this and the A6700. If you can do a comparison between the two, that'd be great. The EVF, IBIS and mechanical shutter make it a tough decision.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis can you compare all three (ZVE10 MK1 and MK2, in addition to the A6700)? I think I’d rather add the A6700 (while keeping my ZVE10 MK1). This seems to give me much greater range in terms of camera bodies. MK2 seems to be a slight improvement over the MK1, and you still don’t get A6700 features.
Great review as always! I was so hyped for this camera and it would be perfect at 1100 USD with the kit lens, but it's close to 1300 USD where I'm at which is almost double the mark 1 with the kit lens.
I love my zve10 so much that I carry it every where 😌😌 it's such a nice small camera.. and I am glad zve10 ii is also that useful... But i wish it had mechanical shutter.. 😅😅
Hello Mark, I have been making a lot of Automotive video’s and company video’s with my zve-10. What will be the main differences that i will notice? Will it be easy to use my mark 1 as second camera and reach the same colors in post when i have mark 2 as first camera? Do i put them both in hlg3 or slog3? How can i reach the exact same colors in the most effective way?
what you will notice the most is the lack of rolling shutter (jello), a much better screen to see your video, better stabilization, and more color info if you what to use slog3. to match with the zv-e10 original, I would probably get the leeminglut and use the cine2 profile. both cameras can do it and with a few tweaks, you can make them similar
That internal microphone is nothing short of incredible! 😮 I won’tbe upgrading from the original but it’s good to know there are options should I change my mind in a year or two.
Great vid as always Mark, nice to see your pretty face on my phone screen again 😅🎉 As for the ZV-E10 Mark II... as much as I was excited about it and waited to see what comes around the corner, at this point, I'm more of a concerned that I'll upgrade my Lil' Duggie with a6700 instead... for two main reasons and one less important for me: the lack of mechanical shutter and weather sealing, and the lack of the ibis (not great of a deal to me but still)...
Hi Mark. Thanks for getting this out so quickly. I just did a quick search of Henry's my local camera store and a leader in Canada. The ZVE10 original without a lens is 899. The new one is 1399. So basically there is a 500 dollar premium for a camera that improves to 10 bit and a few other very minor spec improvements. I'm looking forward to your comparison video. A 50 percent price increase for the same camera is a little steep, don't you think?
yes, that why I’m glad the original is still being sold. it really is the best budget camera. but there will be a lot of people who want the improvements of the new one - so now there’s the option - but at a substantial price hike
Thanks for another comprehensive review. I have a ZVe10. Since I do almost no video, I am waiting to get a 6700. Think over all a better value for money for my intended use.
The truth is that nowadays cameras apsc and ff are becoming so obsolete... when for example dji has on the market small pocket size camera with better quality image and real IBIS. I believe that for consumers these low mid-ish cameras are a nahhh anymore!
Outstanding review, as always, Mark. Looks like a great upgrade, but I think I'll jump right up to the A6700. (BTW, you're looking very mature these days; I kinda miss the pseudo-mullet...)
Could you make video about photography with Sony ZV-E10 II? if theres some problems because it has no mechanical shutter in real? Maybe comparasion with original ZV-E10? Could be interesting.
Great video! I'm loking for an upgrade to my fuji x-t200. And Im thinking is it better to buy x-s20 or change the system to sony and get zv-e10ii/. What do you think is better?
Most people now do not need a "real" camera but can equally use a medium or high end smartphone. This is especially true for cameras not equipped with viewfinders when a photo is framed solely based on the screen.
I was just looking at the original ZVE10 as a secondary camera, but I guess I'll be opening my pocket book for the mark II. Thanks for the informative video Mark!
Does S&Q still cut out audio? Thank goodness for the new toggle though that makes it way faster to toggle modes, and clearer on what mode you switched to.
The pre-order price in Australia is only about $200 less than the A6700 when on discount so it's not as compelling right now. But once the ZVE10ii goes on discount and the difference becomes $300-$400, it will start to differentiate itself further from the A6700. Exciting times!
Questions: 1. Without a mechanical shutter, does it support external flashes? FX30 certainly doesn't. 2. Does attaching an external monitor cancels eye/face detect AF?
Guess this is a worthy successor to my beloved NEX VG 20. I just need a daddycam that could do the artsy stuff, but mostly is ready when my kids are doing their quatsch. So e-mount, a good af and internal mics are a must.
If I had to go with a crop frame form factor, I would definitely choose a6700 instead of zve10 ii , it's a much better hybrid camera, with better grip, great ibis, great active stabilizer with only 7-10% crop a dedicated ai chip , 4k120 and a great visor system etc, thanks a lot for your great video dear mark 👊✌️🌸
@@parsav5247 thanks for the reply. Is this 6700 also good for beginners like the ZV-E10 was. Basically is there a defocus button and a showcase mode button? Sorry to bother you.
Dude I love it. I cannot wait for the quality comparison between this one and the ZV-E10 (I own one), and also the ZV-E1. I guess the full frame would be better, but this lens with better OSS and smoother zoom seems perfect! I wonder if the new ON OFF toggle can be accidentally toggled while manipulating the camera for vlogging (changing hands...). The only thing i DO complain a lot about the ZVE10 is the screen. It's horrible quality, low brightness, too small and the colors are WAY off from the final result. It's a big downside bc there's no viewfinder
Do you think Sony will ever do something similar to the Fuji film simulations. I know the creative look and picture profile is similar, but doesn’t quite compete from my understanding.
You mentioned ZV-E10 II turns off profile picture when USB streaming, was mk1 the same or is this an mk2 thing? Also, can you compare kit lens, v1 & 2? You mentioned v2 is sharper.
looks like a great update, especially the new battery and frame rates. the digital crop when stabilizing on that kit lens is a little disappointing as it'll be a little too tight for walkaround vlogging with just the kit. that grip improvement looks nice
How does it capture Aurora Borealis video? I have photographed it extensively this year with my Canon R6 (mki) but the video quality has not ever impressed me...
I didn't even know this was set to come out! 10-bit and 4k over streaming is enough for me. It doesn't need a fan, because I am now its fan (and it looks like my lil Ulanzi guy will fit on there).
Great review as always, thank you. In Slovakia 1100€ without lens. Strange, probably the average salary is higher here in Eastern Europe like in Canada or US. 🤔 My B cam is ZV-E10. I am using it only on tripod in 4K 25fps. This mark II with 10 bit 4:2:2 and bigger batteries is more than enough reason for me to change the old one for this. But the price....
I think the switch of Foto-Video-S&Q is a really good thing. I dislike it at the first version. For me it was hard to see if the focus was on the right spot at the first version. The new feature to see only the focused space could help a lot, but to set the correct framing could be harder. 🤔 Overall I think the version 2 has great updates but for this price I wait a bit and hope it will get a bit cheaper. THX for your great review!
May I ask a newbie question that might seem silly to many here? As a guy considering starting a RUclips channel, with talking head content and occasional music-making, as well (guitar, vocals), mostly indoors but sometimes outdoors, why would I want to perhaps consider buying such a camera over just using my iPhone 13? From watching your very comprehensive video and getting hyped about this camera, I wonder if my (future) viewers would even care if I had it over an iPhone. Any input by you or your community is most welcome, and my apologies for asking what might be a misplaced question on this channel.
Start with your phone. You already have it and it's best just to start. You can decide about the camera later. Once you get into shooting a lot of videos, you may start to see the value of a dedicated camera and can make decisions about it later, but at first, the iPhone won't require learning a new camera and you can just start.

0:19 it's not just me that loves the camera, it's Mark too!
@@camo5567 I am just replying to see other replies as I have the same question lol.
The only good way I found isn’t use a good gimbal like DJI. I always use gimbal with the e10
Just the Sony trailer and immediately thought 💭 “I wonder if Mark made a video?” Was not disappointed! Let’s go ZVE10-ii!!
Hey it's the ZV-E10 guy!
(this is the only review I needed to watch- you knocked it out of the park Mark)
Thanks Tom. I felt it lacked some puns though.
Awesome video as expected ! Great camera except the pricing. It's not out yet in Hong Kong, but A6700 is $1150 here, or even less as open box, too close. ZV-E10 is the price performance champ, I think $799 would have been adequate, current price is a little greedy.
would have been nice if it was cheaper
Wonderful review, will definitely sell my zve10 for this.
Hey Mark, would love to see a color grading video from you.
This may have been a blessing in disguise having to hold out from buying an FX30 due to losing my job 😭 I had no idea this was coming so this was an amazing surprise to see when I got home this morning. Thank you, Mark!
good luck on the job hunt!!
I feel you, I am trying to buy a 25mm and 85mm Zeiss CP.3 lens for $4500 each and then my client died, so now I'm out $1000 a week in income. On top of that my Audi needs new breaks, and new tires.
I just bought an FX30 for $1400. I should've waited...
@IanGT_FTC why that's a great price for technically a better/ or more realiable camera.
@@visionary_vega You right, I was just having fomo lol. Just need to save up for some CFexpress cards
Amazing content! love your style Mark. Brought me some happiness today.
Best wishes!
Blessing to all the positive creators around!
Yes, I agree.
If photography is in the mix, I’d go ZVE10 MK1 or 6700.
I have waited ages and now it's finally here. 🤩
Of all the ZV-E10 II coverage, this was the only video I needed to watch.
that’s what I think 🤣🤣
Mark oh Mark.
So cool to see the growth of your channel. You’re doing the thing man!
Thanks!!
Lack of mechanical shutter is a huge bummer at $1,000. Electronic shutter will be bad at 16ms sensor readout, while ZV-E1 also lacks mechanical shutter, but its sensor readout is twice as fast at 8ms.
fair enough - a mechanical shutter is very helpful
Agree. A global shutter would be the only acceptable solution. Which we know they can do.
Well done! I'm a proud owner of the ZVE10 and going strong for over 2 years with it on my RUclips channel. I'll keep it as a 2nd camera as I move to this new MK2. Fantastic!
Hi Mark, I have the ZVE10 original. Do you recommend upgrading to ZVE10 II? Or investing in a lens? which one?
I have the same question I just bought a mark1
lens first- that will make the biggest difference - for shots like my studio - get the Sigma 16mm 1.4 amzn.to/4cUkOBN
Please do more analysis on the kit lens too. I have the Sigma 18-50, with no desire to get rid of it, but tempted to pickup the new kit lens for when I want my camera to be actually pocketable or letting my nieces use my camera without being as afraid of damage.
that video is on the way
Looks really good, 10 bit, 4k 60 fps, 26MP, Z battery ; good enough for me to upgrade from ZV-e10 mark i
ZV-E10 is still amazing!!
Thanks Mark! You and Film Alliance convinced me to get the ZV-E10 and I’ve loved it. Will be getting the Mk II sometime this year for sure!
@@ionrageactually very true
@@tribaltheadventurer Cannot wait to see the "pros" cry when this thing shuts down in 20 mins due to overheating
you are absolutely right, in this price range few people are interested in the new product, because there is a6700 and fx 30
Wow!!!
Such a great video! Thank you for this!
I haven’t gotten excited about a camera in a long time. I might get this over the fx6 and wait for the fx6 mark ii.
lack of active stab is a strong no go for me! i will enjoy my a6700 or my zev1 dynamic stab. the active stab on a6700 is crappy anyway lol
does this support wifi 5ghz or is it crippled with the 2.4 ghz? what about the cpu speed? is it using the same cpu as a6700 and fx30? does it suport 4k usb streaming?
I can understand why people are complaining about not having IBIS, but don’t get the mechanical shutter argument for a camera that’s targeted to people who want a mainly video camera. It seems like if you want a hybrid camera, it would just be better to go for a Sony A6700 or Mark I. The actual video functions look better to me with the new version as a lay person. Great review Mark!
The Sigma 18-50 will always be my first choice lens for APS-C Sony cameras.
Got both the sigma and tamron. I like the tamron better for the extra range. But the sigma is naice compact
Sigma 18-50 💯
Man thanks for your awesome video i stop watching camera review from long time, but u make me love to watch it again also i think am in love with this cam, thanks man keep excellent work❤
wah $999, that nearly doubled mark 1, they should call it zve20 instead
the mark 1 regular price is $698 - still $300 cheaper which and hopefully even cheaper on sale
Holy Toledo, my time has come. I’m not gonna be able to sleep I’m so excited for this camera. Thank you Mark for the best channel on RUclips for camera reviews!
At this point Sony should use your face on the coverbox of this camera 😂
I think that’d be nice
16:30 - "Great Overheating Times" sounds a like a good title for a sexy song.
Best line: "...Skin softening function which I don't think anyone should use. I don't know, maybe You should - I haven't seen Your face" 😄
I'm looking forward to your ZV-E10 vs ZV-E10ii comparo, hopefuly with more real footages. 👍
That 33% crop-in is a bit tight for my liking, but otherwise, this is Sony's better model follow up than ZV-1 mkii was.
The value doesn't seem amazing though considering the A6700 is available now for just a little more.
it is a tough choice between this and the a6700 - cheaper, but missing some things. But it does ave a few things the a6700 doesn't have too
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis What would you say are the things it has over the a6700 that would be important to you in day to day use?
for me, the size and weight is nice, product showcase more can be useful. the Usbc streaming for longer is the big one for me, but overall, if I had to choose one camera, the a6700 would be a better fit for me
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I didn't realise the A6700 can't stream over USB-C for long? - I almost bought it but then decided on the ZV-E1 which can stream in 4K for 6+ hours with no issues (if you open the side doors, otherwise it overheats), I'm so glad I got that one :)
Hello Little Dougie Jr! Okay, so for the first time I'm seriously thinking of upgrading. The larger battery and longer shoot times, higher resolution live streaming capability, user LUTS, better sensor, 4.2.2 video. All this is so tempting. Will wait for the head-to-head comparison to see how Dougie Sr holds up though. Great video, Mark!
Damn my zv-e10 is now old....
Dougie never gets old!!
-No mechanical shutter which severely limits the camera's usability for photography
-Crappy plastic, non weather sealed build quality
-No AI AF chip although they have the tech. Once again: They're voluntarily crippling this camera down
All of this would be somehow acceptable if this was a cheap budget camera for 700-800$.
At 22:54 I really dig the creative look of the center image. Do you remember what mode that was? Thanks for the video
You are one of the top camera reviewer ever found on RUclips. Maybe the best one. Great Mark. Thanks.
Thanks!!
Made a solid little camera even better, very nice. I was 50/50 on the original a few years back. Waiting on the FX30 II, personally, for my upgrade to my a6400 (which I went with instead, it was actually a video of yours, Mark, that helped me make that decision).
Great video as always... i already got the original ZVE10 and i was waiting on purchase the MKII but after seen this video is a no go for me unafortunately... i wanted primary for sports photos and with no mechanic shutter i dont think is going to work on fast speed action... just wanted a cheap oriented photo camera and i think i ill buy another original ZV E10 for that purpose...
i would love that Sony launch a photo dedicated APSC camera like A7R models but more afordable and with less video features, just for photos, i would buy it today
Love to everyone ❤
Sony a6600
@@alexeyk116 isnt that camera the same as zve10? same sensor i think and same photo features but more expensive jaja
@@karintosco for photo: EVF, IBIS, big battery, big grip, more buttons and custom buttons. Buy it used, price now very affordable.

It's been a day of official launch, and we hadn't a video from our favourite zve10 camera guy 😂
Great love and appreciation for such great and valuable content
did you miss it on the 10th? because I launched the video on embargo time
Hey Mark , great video! Is there anyway we could get a video of how much the clear image zoom was improved? I’ve been watching you for over a year so now and I’ve been really liking your videos!
I'll try to include it soon - but in a nutshell, it still keeps eye autofocus as you zoom. And the quality looks the same as un-cropped.
Sweet! Looking forward to it! It doesn’t seem like anyone else is talking about it
I use clear image zoom all the time On my A7c2 and my ZV E10.
The EVF, IBIS and mechanical shutter make it a tough decision.
on the way!!
I was so hyped for this camera and it would be perfect at 1100 USD with the kit lens, but it's close to 1300 USD where I'm at which is almost double the mark 1 with the kit lens.
yeah - it’s a big jump
YESSS I WAS WAITING FOR THISSSSSS
I love my zve10 so much that I carry it every where 😌😌 it's such a nice small camera.. and I am glad zve10 ii is also that useful... But i wish it had mechanical shutter.. 😅😅
Dunce here...will my trusty Sigma 18-35 APSC that sits on my Canon M50 work without a conversion mount? If so...marvellous!
Hello Mark,
I have been making a lot of Automotive video’s and company video’s with my zve-10.
It’s really good!!
Thanks, Mark for this detailed video. I can't wait to test it and feel the difference between the MKI and MKII.
Man, I was contemplating to buy an used Blackmagic 4k but now... ZV-E10 II makes me doubt about that...
Huge thank you for this review. It was all the difference I needed to make the purchase.
Thanks for another comprehensive review. I have a ZVe10. Since I do almost no video, I am waiting to get a 6700. Think over all a better value for money for my intended use.
I think you are correct
The truth is that nowadays cameras apsc and ff are becoming so obsolete... when for example dji has on the market small pocket size camera with better quality image and real IBIS. I believe that for consumers these low mid-ish cameras are a nahhh anymore!
Mark, what do you think about the new upgraded kit lens 16-50mm OSS II? Is there any difference to the old one?
love the humor. makes a well rounded experience.
Outstanding review, as always, Mark. Looks like a great upgrade, but I think I'll jump right up to the A6700. (BTW, you're looking very mature these days; I kinda miss the pseudo-mullet...)
a6700 comparison coming today!!
Thank goodness for the new toggle though that makes it way faster to toggle modes, and clearer on what mode you switched to.
no sound in s&q
The pre-order price in Australia is only about $200 less than the A6700 when on discount so it's not as compelling right now. But once the ZVE10ii goes on discount and the difference becomes $300-$400, it will start to differentiate itself further from the A6700. Exciting times!
I had an alarm set on that exact hour, can't wait to watch!
Questions:
1. Without a mechanical shutter, does it support external flashes? FX30 certainly doesn't.
2. Does attaching an external monitor cancels eye/face detect AF?
It does support flash - I'm not sure the max sync speed though. Eye detect stays in all modes when using HDMI
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Jason Vong reported it is supported up to SS 1/30. Thanks for the reply Mark!
Anyone want a ZV- E10? Just purchased it last month (2nd one)... womp womp, haha. This looks like a huge improvement! Great video!

Hey Mark, big fan of your video. Can you please let us know how is the photo quality of zv e10 mark 2.

Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it. Yours is the first video about this I'm watching. After this, maybe Gerald.
haha - that's the right order. I'll show this to Gerald (jk)
I subscribed because you said that you will compare it head to head to sony zv-e10 mark1. Waiting for this upload, thanks Mark! 🎉
yes, I’ll try to get that out Monday
The kit lens doesn’t get enough love. No, it doesn’t have bokeh, fast aperture, yada yada. But it has OSS!
Yes - I’m going to use my Ulanzi fan for long streams as well - just in case
Great review as always, thank you. In Slovakia 1100€ without lens. Strange, probably the average salary is higher here in Eastern Europe like in Canada or US. 🤔 My B cam is ZV-E10. I am using it only on tripod in 4K 25fps. This mark II with 10 bit 4:2:2 and bigger batteries is more than enough reason for me to change the old one for this. But the price....
Why can't they include dual SD card slot?? the 4K60 stabilization crop seems total crap.
So much excitement, I can't handle it. I loved the ZV-E10!
