I have just downloaded this yesterday as my Dji fpv updated to v1.3 . All the other sites said that they couldn’t do it but this works. It has made my drone fun again!! Although it was £40 it was well worth it. Never flown so many kilometres high in the sky before

Nice work. Well put together video. I’m curious why the first attempt at downgrade didn’t work, glad you left that part in the video so people will know not to freak out of it happens to them.
It was because I didnt restarted after a firmware update. Sometimes you get lazy or you forget to restart - silly, but easy to make, mistake :) - Sometimes you'll get an error too if your internet connection is slow or the Dronehacks server is very busy.
@@InfinityDrones I'm curious, the last part of the video is about being forced to change firmware to the locked version - is this from before or after you used the Drone Hacks system? If before, and this is just showing that DJI is forcing you into it and its fixable with Drone Hacks, thats great. But the way I interpreted the video made it seem like even after the hack completion, it forced you to go back to the locked firmware, negating the Drone Hacks exploits.
@@koredonnelly881 the last part of the video is for your goggles and not the drone. If you keep getting the update message in the goggles it's because your goggles needs an update. I've pinned a commeng from dronehacks support that explains it well.

@@InfinityDrones It's great, range is definitely increased and it almost feels like there's less latency. Went up to 1km high to test height, no issues. Even works with DJI Fly on airplane mode so there really is no draw back to applying these hacks. Cheers man.

@@duchon22 only if you are using a dedicated device that will never have internet. If you have internet on "some" of the time, the dji fly app might download the updates in the background and push them to the drone, even though you're offline.
I do get a lot out of your video nice. I got a DJI fpb drone on liftoff. Fpb is not easy flying respect, for this mod cool

I appreciate you helping me when I got my DJI fpv drone and did the hack everything works great, I was wondering since I'm on the recommended firmware, am I able to use those goggles on my freestyle drone with an air unit? I didn't want to try it out and then be stuck on the air unit mode and not be able to switch back to dji fpv drone mode. Right now I'm using the one that came with the combo,and i already had the v2 goggles i use for my freestyle quads with vista and air units.thanks
Hi there, you can use your v2 set and a switch as you wish between the two modes. You won't be stuck in the one and you won't loose your dji fpv mod either. Happy flying 😉

I would redo the fcc mod using the Dronehacks app. It will be very quick.
Also, remember that your range will be affected by the area you fly.

One question to the Devs: @InfinityDrones, when I want to connect my gogglesV2 from my FPVRacer to my Avata, I have to plug my iPhone on and open up DJI Fly and it says everything that it has to upgrade the firmware but nothing really downloads. Now I’m a little afraid that if I switch to my Avata and back to my FPVRacer, my hack will get ripped…

When connecting to the Avata you don't need the dji fly app. You just have to change to Avata mode in the goggles and then bind to the Avata as per normal.
Your hack is only on the DJI FPV drone's side and not on the Avata's side. :)

Just did this today, and it's worked perfectly on my FPV. Just wondering if i update my headset and controlls if it will still work
the mod is on the drone, so updating the controller or goggles will not affect the hack :) Enjoy!
Hi, just an interjection about the ceiling limit.
I recently went to Madeira and flew in the mountains that are more than 1000 metres without any hack, presumably because the height is determined from the point of takeoff. However, I’m very interested in the fcc unlocking for the extra range.
Yes, you're correct. The altitude limit is from take off hight. The best part about this mod is the extra signal range from FCC mode and ofcourse the NFZ removal as well as removing that 500m alittude limit.
Flew up to 2500km with dronehacks couple of times, connected to phone once and now I am forced to update..
I was really encouraged by this video, and installed the hack easy enough (haven’t yet checked if it works). But I have an issue: I like to share my flight view, but there is no DigiView available for iPhones. Any wisdom on when something like it might become available?
(I hate the Dji fly app anyways cause the view always freezes)
Sorry man, atm there is only DigiView and Fly app options availale. If you are going to use the fly app i really recommend you use a device that has no connection to the internet (ever).
I’ve been seeing many complaining about the 0015 firmware for the DJI FPV luckily I haven’t updated my firmware for quite some time but recently I damaged my DJI FPV (still flys) but I was worried to send it in to get repairs done due to thinking DJI’s repair centre would upgrade my firmware to (0015) resulting in not being able to do the FCC hack as I live in Australia and definitely need it. This is fantastic news guys well done 👍🏻 think I’ll be doing this drone hacks with both my DJI FPV when it’s back from repairs and Air2s!!! Subbed 👌🏻

Hey thanks for the vid. I just did the hack on my drone. I've had it for awhile and never updated so I was on 0020. So I downgraded to 0000 and successfully flashed the hack (altitude and NFZ). My goggles are still on 0020 though. I was able to connect and arm the drone but haven't tried in a NFZ yet or too exceed 500 meters. Just wondering, do you have to downgrade goggles too? And, do you have to use the fly app to activate the certificate? Or is it automatically activated after flashing? Please and thanks!
you can update your goggles firmware (i have since i'm also using the avata). Just make sure you have the drone on the correct firmware.

I've ordered a DJI FPV and it's on the way. One thing I noticed on Drone Hacks is that it says, "Install DJI assistant 2 for Mavic for the required drivers (ALWAYS install this version, no matter which drone you have)". But in your vid you selected the DJI FPV Series. Was this an oversight?
No it's not. The drivers will be installed. It's just easier to tell everyone to install a single version as it covers everything. Otherwise, I get a million messages about which version. Very sharp of you to notice. Well done.
Is there any likelihood that the V2 goggles which have been upgraded to .015 firmware can be rolled back using a similar technique to the fpv racing drone? ie using a hacked firmware which can be subsequently replaced with the ideal goggles firmware?

The FCC hack (range hack right?) Is it the same in this drone-hacks if i hack it as the b3yond one? Or what optimal settings do you recommend? Drone-hacks stock range but altitude and NFZ hack enabled, with b3yond enabled? Or what is best setup
What i also dont understand, you hack the FCC through the drone now? And in your b3yond video you hack it with the goggles right?
Yes, they are 2 very different mods. The best one is the DroneHacks one because 1) it's permanent untill you flash your firmware, and 2) it's on the drone and not done on the goggles which you'll need to jump throuogh a few whoops.
The B3yond hack claims upto 1200mw like we can do on our DJI Air Units or Caddx Vistas using the naco_pwr.txt file mod. But that file is completely useless unless you have the naco.txt file on your Vista/Air Unit. So they basically work together.
Now I've not personally tested what you're suggesting, and now that you mention it, I really want to - but I would think it would be best to do both :)
I'm very curious about the possible results myself - Please share if you've done it before me haha. It's winter here and I don't get so much time to fly atm.
@@InfinityDrones aah okay yeah im Just new with the dji fpv only fles 2 Times now. Have ordered a bag and ordering the fly more (2 batteries) soon. So also discovering new accessoires on RUclips and came across this. So would probably try the drone-hacks in a few weeks.
And i live in the Netherlands where like everything is flat. Really everything so i dont need the Height now

Hi there, you can use the Digiview app. Technically, you can use the DJI fly app but that leaves the door open for DJI to sneak through a silent update that will prevent the mod/hack from working. That is why we recommend not using the DJI fly app if at all possibile.

No need for the beyond hack. The drone hacks way is permanent

Yes it will still work normally. Not a silly question at all. The great thing about DroneHacks is that it just removes limitations, everything else remains and works the same :)

015 is the firmware you need on the goggles. Have you tried to put the naco_pwr file on your goggles?

Hello friend, excellent explanation and very well detailed, I wanted to ask you, after going back several firmwares of the aircraft, does it also happen with the DJI app? and can one go back to the current DJI settings and whenever you want, back to Drone-hackers again and again? I ve Mini 2 and Air 2s.
The mod is on the drone. Once you've loaded the mod you must NEVER update your firmware. The new dji fly apps can be used, but it is recommended that you do not update anything.

I am wanting some more info if possible please, atm my drone and goggles are on firmware 01.02.0020 and my controller is on version 01.02.0000.
Do I need to update all devices to the same firmware, or just the drone....?
I assumed that the goggles and drone were the ones that needed hacking as its the goggles that you see the drone through I.e longer range video feed with a longer range drone distance, I ask this because at the time I was unable to do the drone hacks mod on said version 01.02.0020 but did mention I could downgraded to 016? Either way I ended up going with the b3yond app that made me connect the drone and goggles for flashing which I assume flashed the fcc hack.
So would I need to update all of my equipment to the latest version or just the drone. What is the pros and cons of using said dji fly app as I never use anything on my phone to fly,I just turn on my equipment and fly.
Your goggles must be on 0015 and your drone must be on 01.02.0000. RC does not matter at this point. Please note... if you're using your dji goggles with Air Units or Caddx Vista's then you might want to wait since 0015 will remove the root exploit (thats if you're interested in that)
@@InfinityDrones thanks for getting bk to me,I only use the dji fpv system so that's not a problem for me. I'm just a little lost as to regards to the goggles having to be on 0015 when the drone itself will be reverted to the firmware 0000, Is there a main reason for this......I noticed after everything you did that the dji app wanted to put you bk on 0015 before being able to fly again. What exactly did that do, did you have to do the hack again afterwards. I do apologise for the confusion 😕 I'm not actually sure what that did. I'm new to all this hacking stuff like I said in my first post....would I be able to use dji fly app afterwards or is it advisable not too, I've never bothered tbh I chose to use digiview if I wanted someone seeing what I am.
@@FromTheGroundUP627 no worries at all. I'm here to help. You only need to upgrade your goggles of you get the update mesaage after doing the mod. If you're lucky, you won't see any message. But if you do see the update message, it can be resolved by upgrading your goggle firmware are reloading the nfz and altitude certificate mod.
So after than, my drone goes up then 500m?
Or still i have to adjust something in the options?
Once you've loaded dronehacks your limits will be removed. There is no other setitigns required.

Yeah you'll need a windows or Linux machine to be able to do the mod.

The mavic 3 is not supported at.... Only fcc unlock works.
Will this solve the warning in the goggles “update country code” because I’ve tried absolutely everything to get rid of it and nothing works.
If you've followed all the steps and modded your drone, and your goggles are updated to the latest 0015 version then yes. In my video, I have an example at the end of the video.

I installed FCC, NFZ, and altitude hacks a few months ago following your video. I wanted to try the DJI Motion controller with the DJI FPV. I have linked the motion controller to the drone but it says the following under Signal 'Motion controller not activated. Unable to take off. Connect to DJI Fly to activate' and
'Motion Controller firmware version out of date. Connect to DJI Fly and update to latest firmware version'
Do you know if its possible to use the DJI Motion controller without removing hacks?
Yes, you can. You just needed to update the motion controller via DJI Assitant 2 for fpv on your pc and not via the Fly app.
As long as the dji fpv firmware is on 01.02.0000 the mod/hack will work - but if you've updated past that... you'll need to downgrade and reload the mod.

Just curious about firmware upgrades from DJI. I understand that in order to do the hack you need an older version. But when DJI releases a newer version of firmware, arnt they adding new features that would enhance the flying experience ? Or is that the tradeoff of doing the hack. You sacrifice future updates that make the drone better? 🤔
Yes and No. There are some instance where there has been a new feature added in a newer firmware update in the past. The way things currently stand, the only new features DJI has added to any of their drone's has been "bug fixes and stability improvements", which kinda only means "we've created new firmware so that you cannot use dronehacks". Remember, DJI has released the Mini 3 and Mavic 3 recently. They are now only focusing on fixed and improving those drones. All the other drones they have would not get new features since that would hurt the sales of the Mini 3 and Mavic 3.
So essentially, the answer is no you will not loose out on any new features :)

Hi there. It is compatible. But check it out the birdmap (as per my video) and make sure you do not update your firmware past a certain point, otherwise you can't do the mods

A few questions. For the DJI FPV RACER to take advantage of the new 1.26 hack, Does this only need to be done on the Drone itself... or does the downgrade need to happen on both my Drone and my Goggles? Your Walk through here seems to only be plugging the Drone itself into a (windows 10 pc) to downgrade the Drone firmware. But what about the Goggles?
Are both hacks (range and altitude) only needed on the Drone?

Lastly...the very end of your video implies that even after doing these hacks, DJI is just going to force me to update and undo the hack...and there is no way around it... or am I missing something here?
Yes, the Dronehacks mod is only on the Drone (as per my video). The downgrade as per the video is only needed for the drone. Your goggles should remain on .015 and there no no mod for the goggles.
At the end of my video I say, do not connect to the fly app because DJI are sneaky bastards and they might push a future update that will remove the mod. Because of th at I say, do not use the Fly app, just use the DigiView app if you want to show your flight footage on your device.

While flashing on DJI FPV to version V01.02.0014 from V01.02.0020 it suspended on 96.9%. What is the solution to fix it. I waited until the battery discharged. So did it twice until success. But the Hack of FCC and NFZ after successful implementation does not work. I still see RC mode and 500 m limitation.
You need to flash again. If it freezes or stands still for more than 10 min. Just close the Dronehacks app (do not restart the drones) and reopen the app. Check if the firmware updated. Good examples are in my new Dronehacks 1.27 video.

I would recommend activating it and as soon as it is done, disconnect or turn off your internet connection.
If you want to do updates do them manually via the Dronehacks app

@@stst8301 you just need one license. Also. Disconnect your internet after activation, then you won't update. Much easier.

Yes, on android you can use the Digiview app. But you can use the fly app those days since if you accidentally updated you can now downgrade safely. So you can continue to use the fly app.
Does the new forced update on the fly app negate the dji fpv drone Hack?I can't take off because it says I got a different version on my goggles.It's trying to get me to go back to V01 02 0015 and I can't activate it unless I update..
yes, as per the video your goggles must be on 0015. Then you just need to reload the nfz alitude certificate and the message will go away.
I've been using this hack for about 2 months without any problems. I go to a distance of 4.5 km with full signal strength. (The battery is not safe enough for more than that) I never connected the drone to DJI Fly after the hack. My only concern is if I lose my drone one day, will the dji fly "find my drone" feature work?
I understand your concern. Unfortunately, that's the trade off you need to pic. Without dronehacks your drone will be in CE mode, meaning 25mw... I'm fcc mode you're getting 1400mw.

Yes it just be. As per the video. Dronehacks must have communication with the drone.

Hello! I applied the hack on my air 2 and it works great! Only one thing i wish to modify! Vertical climb speed and descent speed. Standard (4 m climb and 4 m descent) it is waaaaaay to slow.

You can go to the parameter section in the dronehacks secton and search for "vertical". please be careful when changing these.

Loved the video, easy to follow along. Problem is that after all the hacks been installed there is no difference in range and max heigh!!! I can not go higher than 500m (and that is after installing the Hack as per your video). And the range is still the same (I loose signal at about 800m, same as before the hacks were installed).
The only differe difference is that Im 40 Euro less now.
Are you using the drone with the same battery you did the mod with? Have you tried to reflash the firmware and redo the mod? Did you remember to not open the dji fly app again?

Then in the App you enable the FCC. Now my range is good.

@@barkvarkie_fpv8623 So it should work with all you batteries. But remember, the battery's firmware also gets updated when you flash your drone. In the event that you are faced with the mod not working when on a different battery, just load the mod again with that battery inside your drone. Like I said, it should work without these steps, but if you experience the issue I had then you know its an easy fix :)
Personally, if I were you I would go fly as soon as I can and test if you can surpass the 500m alt limit or nfz zone (if you live in a safe area only please). You will be able to see if it works with the battery used to flash the firmware and load the mod and then test with a battery that was not used during the firmware flashing process. If you find that you are not unlocked, then simply run the dronehacks application and apply the mod (no need for flashing the firmware again). Hope this answers your question :)

No need to update the goggles. But in some cases you might get an upgrade message, then you'll need to update to 0.15

The mini 3 is not supported. Check the Dronehacks website (as per the video) to see what drones and what firmware is supported. VERY IMPORTANT!

Hi there, nope it will stay in FCC mode. But in my opinion, stay away from the dji fly app. Rather use the Digiview app. The dji fly app could force you to update (it silently downloads updates while you have interent connection and keeps it until you connect to your drone)

I have a question i really need some clear understanding on (im in the US btw) . I have the .15 firmware on my goggles and the .0000 on my drone. I successfully installed the NFZ and altitude hack from drone hacks and checked the license is valid and working on my drone. I test drove it and it was wonderful i still saw the 500m limit however but i will try to go over 500 tomorrow and see if it can. When i power on all my devices and connect my android phone to my goggles i cant fly from the DJI fly app because it says i need the new firmware on my drone. Im scared to install it and not be able to use the hack, according to this video i can download the new firmware and then roll it back with the new drone hacks update? or jsut forget about dji fly app and keep reinitiating hack everytime i switch a a battery and keep flying it that away to avoid dji fly? is this still possible today 08/24/2022 ??? someone please help im confused on this step lol
When you hacked your drone it should remain on .0000 firmware and your goggles should be on .15 firmware. You should try to NEVER open the dji fly again as DJI will try and let you update your firmware/software and that could remove the mod.
If you want to share your screen with friends then download the Digiview android app.
You should only ever use the dji fly app to activate your products.

So in the end does this affects the vertical descent speed of the FPV ? I use the motion controller and cannot use the manual mode with that… only sport mode. Would just be afraid to go to 900m up on a cliff and then be stuck with the 3m/s descent which would need 300s (5min) to return to ground and be out of battery ?
yeah... i would really really recommend that you fly with the normal controller and get accss to manual mode. The decent speed in all other modes are locked...

if you applied it then it is at 1400mw. if you have an rf meter you can check. no other way to check with the dji fpv drone, but if the mod was successful then you'll fine that your range is much better.

@@ipravoqator you cannot anymore, dji has locked it. Only thing you can do is reload the current firmware and see if that fixes your issue.
I'm having the same issue. I'm going to refresh my googles tomorrow and see what happens. I am I. The USA and I can barely get 1300m away. Should go farther than that right?
@@gregtucker8777 Depends where are you flying... if you're flying in an area with lots of interference 1300m is actually pretty good.
If I can't use DJI FLy after applying the hack, what app can I used to watch live video on an iPad while I fly?
Just to answer my own question in case others find it helpful: Simply turn off wifi and put ipad in airplane mode before connecting the goggles. If you ever connect the goggles to the DJI Fly app while it's connected to the internet, it will say you can't take off until you update. We'll see how long this lasts.
Personally I would try avoiding the DJI FLY app as much as possible. I use the DigiView app to view my flights on my phone. Really recommend it.
I read on drone-hacks that manual mode wont work in NFZ, have you tried manual mode over 500m? Is manual mode supported over 500m? I am not very sure it is. Thanks
Hi there, yes it is supported. The limits are removed and the drone ignores the altitude limit. I have 2x videos of where I fly over 500m.
