This makes it very confusing for beginners to know which DJI Assistant 2 download they must select.

Thanks for the video, your videos really are the best about these alternative tools. If you can I could make a video how to remove the error 40011 from mavic mini2 would be very good, I managed to remove this error from the mini following your video, but the mini2 I still can't.

I'm currently working on a solution, but I do not have a mini 2 to test with - if I can find one and test if the tool works I'll definitley make a video and post it on my channel. Currently the only way to remove that error is to send it to DJI which is obviously a last resort.

yes the air 2s is fully supported. The Air 2 is not. So go for it! You can watch my drone hacks 1.26 or 1.29 video to see how.
Hello.I have a DJI MINI 2 but I dont see DJI MINI 2 in the list of drones. Is that the same as DJI MAVIC MINI 2 as what you used in the video? my current problem is everytime the firmware will start installing it will disconnect and failed. I tried the mobile app and the pc dji assistant both failed. resulting N/A firmware version
Yes you can use Mavic Mini 2 Firmware - same thing. DankDroneDownloader has all the official files

@@InfinityDrones no crash, it was all working good until when there was an update firmware notification and when i proceed, it downloaded completely but during installation it failed it disconnected the drone with red flashes. Then my resolution and FPS options remained empty thats the only problem I noticed i cant change fps and resolution and firmware version showing N/A other than that the drone works perfectly fine
@@Egamer83 Really sorry to hear this man... if you can't reflash the firmware then your only real option would be to send it in to a repair center...
Do you know 😏 if the very first vers. of the firmware for the Air 2 is available, the one that had the attitude indicator in the bottom center of the osd? The original firmware on it's release. Before the indicator was moved to the left bottom side of the screen.
Sorry man, you're talking about the DJI Fly app version. The firmware on the drone is something completely different. If you want to get hold of the older DJI Fly app versions you can get them from webesites like www.apkpure.com. Hope that helps.
For what its worth, I think the new DJI Fly app is better, especially since you can tap the bottom right of the "map" and see the level of our drone. This basically tells you which direction the wind is coming from, making for a much safer flight.
Great tutorial. I tried on my mavic mini with 0.600 firmware. It showed all the previous firmwares 0.500 and 0.400. Besides the older firmwares it says upgrade instead of downgrade. Is it normal. Can I go ahead and upgrade to a lower firmware?
Great to hear! On the DankDroneDowloader page it shows you all the available firmware that you can use. Unfotunatley, DJI sometimes puts locks in the firmware... This means that once you upgrade past a certain version, you cannot downgrade to a lower version anymore. Yeah I know, it's very annoying.
I was wondering, as ive had 2 drones that have crashed, one of them (01.00.0600) just let me downgrade with no hassle (dji assistant 2 cons.), and the other one fights for it like its life or death; and will absolutly not let me downgrade, any idea why?

I have an air 2s with 02.04.2100 i havent seen anything about this version anywhere and it doesnt even show up on DH app i havent tried downgrading but was just curious if you know anything about this firmware version. Whether you have heard of people being able to downgrade. Notnto be mistaken with 02.04.2110.
Is your drone new? Looks like factory firmware that they put in the drone so that when you get your drone and turn it on, it will immediately ask for a firmware update. I've not personally seen it, so I can't confirm if you can downgrade. But I'd I were you I would try since it won't cost you anything.

Yes, that is correct. But remember, if you roll back to the previous firmware it will not reset the No Fly Zones etc. Once you've upgraded those updates can never be removed.
How about the RC can we reset it or downgrade?
Usually you can downgrade it, yes. However, there are some instance that dji has locked the ability to downgrade and you'll only be able to refresh or upgrade. But yes. you can flash controller firmware

What firmware version are you on? Did you check the Dronehacks birdmap as per my video? If you're on the lastest firmware you can't downgrade... Dji has locked it out... We hoping to get a hack to get around it... But for now, there is no way to downgrade.

I own a Mini 2, but accidentally updated to a version 01.04.0000. And now all the DH hacks removed.
I see that the new verision of DH can downgrade rollback-locked firmwares on other DJI drones.
How long does it usually take for DH team to find the exploit for NFZ hack or downgrade ability?
It all really depends on how hard dji has locked them out... The Mavic Air for example has never been unlocked... So all we can do is pray or sell/swop your drone and buy another license...
Hi Mate, im trying to upgrade to 1.03 to mini3 pro but the dronehacks tool always stuck on 0%, any clue?
is it stuck at the Uploading phase or the flashing phase? if stuck at uploading phase then disconnect. Close dronehacks and re-open it. Also, mabye try a different machine.
If it's stuff witht he "flashing" part, just let it be for 10 minutes. Unplug and reconnect. Changes are that the firmware update was done in the background.

Did you not download the older firmware using Dankdronedownloader? You have to download the firmware and then flash to using dronehacks. Its all on the firmware tab in the dronehacks application.

@@IsmaelPR32 no, dji does not want you to downgrade so they remove it from assistant. I recommend that you Do Not update your firmware unless you really need to. All the new firmware dji releases won't add anything new to the air 2 to it mini 2, they will just lock it down more.
Working with Air 2S, was able to downgrade from 02.04.2120 to 02.04.2110 but unable to downgrade further to get to the required 02.04.2040, any advice or suggestions? Thanks.
Hi there! Sorry man, as per my other video of the DroneHacks walkthrough - DJI has rolled out the new firmware to specifically block the mod from working... you cannot downgrade anymore sorry. The only way is to get another drone... If that ever changes I'll make a video about it, but as for now there is no solution.

Sorry man... Nothing can be done at this point. DJI has put a lock in place to prevent downgrading. I've made a video on how to prevent forced updates... And a video on what the first thing is you need to do with a new drone. Really recommend that you watch those. Maybe you can sell your current drone and buy another one (or second hand) and follow the steps in those videos.

No it won't, you need to get the previous owner to unbind it from their account.

Not reading the file from dankdrone zip
I do not understand, you should not have a dankdrone.zip file. Using dronehacks you'll get a link to open dankdronedownloader's website. From there you must select the options to get the correct file.
Tried it but the rar file does not contain .bin files. Pls help

@@phiksngi2890 I think the file was incorrectly uploaded as a .zip file. Try renaming the .zip to a .bin file and try again. You should not be seeing .sig files.

Yes, just follow the turorial. The same applies to all DJI drones. However, DJI does implement "LOCKS" in the newer firmware that prevent you from rolling back.

@@droneskyline sorry sir, dji has put a lock on the firmware you're drone is currently on... so that you cannot downgrade anymore. There is not solution for this atm. Only option is to swop out your drone with someone that's drone has not been updated past 2040
