Hi there, my drone is mini 3 pro. ive just changed the gimbal. after closing the camera keep lookimg right. The mini 3 pro have calibration direct on control. is not the same? may i have to do your instruction or change the camera?
thanxx for that great explanation ..... but im getting that error (Error: could not open port 'COM3': PermissionError(13, 'Access is denied.', None, 5) ) any idea how to solve it ??
To avoid all of the error codes you can swap the camera sensor from the old gimbal to the new one (it's 2 small screws on the sides of the camera). You will still have a calibration error (the gimbal will auto calibrate with no issue) but the other errors will still show up as the motors are paired with the drone but you won't have the imu errors. If you figure out how to get rid of the calibration error that would be fantastic but this is better than having all of them. I don't think I have tried the python calibration after the sensor swap but that may clear it, but I know for sure that the imu codes won't show up with the original camera. Obviously if this isn't possible then the only current option is to send it to dji and have them clear the codes.
Hey Kevin I crashed my DJI Air 2s after which I had to replace the Gimbal and left rear leg. The repair was successful but the infamous 40011 error remained. I flew the drone for new minutes but there were some funky movements by the drone and IMU error showed up and I immediately landed the drone. I tried calibrating the IMU but it kept getting stuck at 6% and then it throws calibration error. Right now the errors on the drone are Gimbal calibration error 40011, IMU not calibrated. Calibrate IMU 30055, IMU calibration incomplete. Recalibrate IMU 30056. I have replaced the IMU, GPS module and GPS flex cable but the issue remains. From your comment, I feel as if the error is software related. Can you give some guidance please.
@umairhafeez sorry for the delayed response on this but you can calibrate the gimbal with python and then should do an imu calibration and firmware refresh. The error codes will not go away unfortunately
Thanks for posting the solution. Tried it, the gimbal didn;t move at all after entering the command into the cmd prompt. Worked anyway, by the looks of it. Gimbal no longer stays in weird position (almost every time it got stuck in a different position or started shaking). So, if it helps to someone with the same issue, this was my procedure: 1. Download/install everything. 2. Connect the drone to PC. 3. Note the com port. 4. Run the command lines in CMD prompt. 5. Wait a minute. 6. Switch off and back on the drone. Tested it out multiple times today and the error doesn't show up in the app anymore - both when drone switched on, but still on the ground and when flying (windy day today).

Upon starting the calibration on command prompt, it will say access denied. However, I close Dji assistant 2, COM 3 stays, Unrecognized response to calibration… appears, but drone does nothing at all.
When you're opening your command prompt are you running it as administrator, or just opening it regularly? Normally it only gives "Access Denied" if it's a regular permission command prompt and not an Administrator Command Prompt.

Thanks for the clear explanation, however my gimbal on phantom 4 just doesn't move at all after first JointCoarse command, any ideas. It says it will take 15 seconds, like in yours. Then it has a line saying, see the progress on a mobile device, exiting Not sure where I'm going wrong
From what I'm able to discern with the Phantom 3 and 4 is that all monitoring goes exclusively through the mobile app. From what I'm able to read from the script: Info: The Gimbal will average its readings without movement, then it will move Yaw arm through its boundary positions. " "Then it will do limited pitch movement. End of calibration will be marked by two beeps from gimbal motors. It will take around 15 seconds." At that point you should be able to see the process on the mobile app and confirm if it works through there. Unfortunately I don't have a Phantom 3 or 4 to test with to see how that process looks at that point.
@@JoeMartinMVC I am having a problem with my Phantom 4 Pro WM331 When I run the first command it says Error: no response on calibration command JointCoarse request.

thanks for dedicated explaining! my air 2S get your first command gimbal moved and turning around, but got message:Unrecognized response to calibration command JointCoarse request. second command no response got same messages. please advise
The Unrecognized Response to Calibration Command error is fine, it's always given because we're not connected to the IMU since we don't have the tools to do that. As for the second command not working, that one is a bit unusual. Is the gimbal still off center? If it's centered now you can actually fly without the second command being run.

I got a error message saying "Error: could not open port 'com3': PermissionError(13, 'Access is denied.', None, 5)" Please Help!
do you have the solution ?
Thanks a lot!!!! my Mavic Mini is back to life!!!!! Using litchi I dont have any alert!
That's wonderful!
I CAN'T FIND THE COM PORT IN DEVICE MANAGER
Followed all steps. Got to the point where COM3 would only appear for a few seconds and then the drone would disconnect. COM3 only stays when I open DJI assistant 2.
I dont have USB serial Device in my Device manager. What to do then?
I have Mavic Mini and I see my drone only as Mass Storage Device
The Mini 2 code is the same as the Mavic Mini (WM160).
In order for the COM port to remain open, it is necessary to install DJI Assistant 2, wait for the drone to be recognized by the software, and then close DJI Assistant 2. After that, the COM port will remain open.
Can you use this for callibrating DJI mini 3?
Hi, thank you for your tutorial. I got a question and need your help. I do everything the same. But when I paste the second command, nothing happens with my mavic air 2.
it is happening exactly the same to me...dod you solved?
@ I did not. There was a problem with the motor on camera. After the repair by service it began working.
Hello friend, I would like to request your help to know what the code is to calibrate the gimbal of a DJI Mavic3 Pro. Please, since I had an accident with my drone and I need to change the gimbal and calibrate it... I hope you can help me, please, I would greatly appreciate it. I will be attentive to your answers, thank you very much in advance.
say one has a crooked gimbal when flying sideways...this should fix it to keep horizon straight?
then... does Code:40011 still come up if its the same gimbal?
If the gimbal and ribbon cable are the same you shouldn’t get 40011 since it’s still paired to the original logic board.
@@JoeMartinMVC I eventually got it to work and it did...sort of. Not really still had crooked horizon.... AND I still got the 40011 error sadly. thanks for your help off to DJI repair it goes
does replacing gimbal's cable require you to calibrate your drone???
Yes it does
thanks, this hack saved my life
Thanks for the clear explanation, however my gimbal on phantom 4 just doesn't move at all after first JointCoarse command, any ideas.
It says it will take 15 seconds, like in yours.
Then it has a line saying, see the progress on a mobile device, exiting
Not sure where I'm going wrong
From what I'm able to discern with the Phantom 3 and 4 is that all monitoring goes exclusively through the mobile app. From what I'm able to read from the script:
Info: The Gimbal will average its readings without movement, then it will move Yaw arm through its boundary positions. "
"Then it will do limited pitch movement. End of calibration will be marked by two beeps from gimbal motors. It will take around 15 seconds."
At that point you should be able to see the process on the mobile app and confirm if it works through there.
Unfortunately I don't have a Phantom 3 or 4 to test with to see how that process looks at that point.
just Search ( bickflash tech) on RUclips, drop a comment for him, he'll assist you
@@JoeMartinMVC I am having a problem with my Phantom 4 Pro WM331 When I run the first command it says Error: no response on calibration command JointCoarse request.
Hi when I connect the USb to the drone turn it on then connect the cable to the computer it does not show in the Ports the COM# that I should use. like it does not read the Drone, its a MIni 2. Can you help please?
Install DJI Assistant 2 to manually install the Mavic drivers, then plug the drone back in and turn it on.
www.dji.com/mobile/downloads/softwares/assistant-dji-2
If the URL doesn’t work, do a google search for DJI Assistant 2 and it should be the first or second link that comes up.
@@JoeMartinMVC Thanks for all the help you're lending on here. This trick didn't seem to work for me. The drone isnt showing up in the "Ports" menu on Device Manager at all, its showing up as a Mass Storage Device under USB Devices, and under that device information general tab it says its on Port: #0002, but COM2 doesn't work when trying to issue the Python commands, just get the same error other are getting "Could not open port 'COM2: FileNotFoundError (2, 'The system could not find the file specified")
This is a drone I bought used and replaced the gimble after discovering a problem...didn't realize it would be this hard to get the new gimble to work.
Edit: For good measure I tried the same command on Ports COM1-COM12 with no luck.
@@en1374 Interesting that even with DJI Assistant installed that it's only showing up as a Mass Storage Device.
Are you using the original USB C Cable that came with the drone, or an aftermarket one?
@@JoeMartinMVC I’ve tried the original and a new USB-C to C as well. Same issue on both. Very strange indeed.
@@en1374 I would try right clicking on the drone when it shows up in Device Manager and selecting "Uninstall" and if it asks if you want to remove drivers, select yes.
Disconnect drone from computer and power down.
Download DJI Assistant 2 for Mavic instead of the general DJI Assistant 2.
www.dji.com/downloads/softwares/assistant-dji-2-for-mavic
Power the drone on, then connect it to the computer and see if it recognizes the COM port after.
Hi, I've tried everything 3 times. I keep getting the message below. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
python was not found; run without arguments to install from the Microsoft Store, or disable this shortcut from settings

Hi there. I have DJY Mini 3 pro Model RM330. In the Command Prompt I replaced the model with my RM330 but it doesn't do anything after the 'GimbalCalib JointCourse' command. The camera is not moving, and the Command Prompt is not giving an Error message. Do you know what am I missing here?
did you fixed it? I have the same dron
@ yes I sent the drone to DJI and they fixed it
@@haycall so you know what did they do? did you pay for new pieces or just a matter of firmware or smt?
How can I make it work for the mini 3 pro ?

thank you , legend ! - mavic air 2
What are the chances I can get the walk through for a MAC?? I do not know a ton about code so when it comes to script writing, I'm not sure how to convert the steps from WIN to MAC.
I wish I could make one for you, however I don't have a Mac to try it out on and see what's needed to get it working.
I did everything exactly and the gimbal doesn't move. I can see the feed on my remote but it doesn't recognize the gimbal and I can't move the gimbal from the remote. This program also does not move the gimbal. Do you know what it could be?
I’m having exactly the same issue. I have changed all the cables, then the whole gimbal, but nothing seems to work.
@@faxxosfakker Hello guys - I also have the same issue - I see the camera feed but I'm unable to move it around - did you guys find a solution?
@@NoTime4Gamezx unfortunately no, I tried everything I saw online, but nothing seems to work. I’m guessing it’s a motherboard issue at this point
Mini 2 I have the first step working however the second step doesn’t initiate. Any thoughts?
Hello. Thanx for the video.
I’m wondering what code I should use for DJI air 2s (not mavic)?

Is the dji mini code the same as the mini 2 se?
Yes it is.
I followed all the procedures you showed. But my computer gives me a message. py is not recognized as an internal or external command, after that I selected the path in edit the system environment even after that it shows the same py is not recognized as an internal or external command, I want help in this matter? Now how do I do the gimbal celebration?
Replace the “py” with python or python3, python3 worked for me, just at the beginning of of each line
can i use this to mini 3 pro and mini 4 pro

Worked great for me, thank you very much 😁😀😎
Do we have to install the software even after unplugging and plugging in the flex cable? I just changed a plastic part. But now the gimbal doesn't turn left or right. My device Mavic 3 Classic
When I go to Device Manager to see the port, there is no "Ports" item listed. I have Windows 11. What now?
is there a code for the DJI AIR 2S?
Help me please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
WM232
@fetrarabema5200 that is for MAVIC AIR 2, not AIR 2S 🥲
Thanks your video. What's happend with the error codes?
Sadly we still don't have a solution for the error codes as we have not been able to gain access to DJI software that can reset it.
thanks for dedicated explaining! my air 2S get your first command gimbal moved and turning around, but got message:Unrecognized response to calibration command JointCoarse request. second command no response got same messages. please advise
The Unrecognized Response to Calibration Command error is fine, it's always given because we're not connected to the IMU since we don't have the tools to do that.
As for the second command not working, that one is a bit unusual.
Is the gimbal still off center? If it's centered now you can actually fly without the second command being run.
Hello bro, greetings from Colombia, do you know what the code for the mini 2 is?
