its crazy how one or two examples can make me completely understand a concept, but it took me an entire class period to (hopefully) understand the same concept..
exactly its so weird. I do online classes so i have no actual teacher to ask questions just a video and activities. I got so lost when watching the videos but when i watched this suddenly im good at math. The wonders of youtube :').
@@alyssayoung9695 nah fr j just got finished watching his arithmetic math video and it taught me better then any teacher has in the past years with math I came to this and In already getting better at linear equations off the first 4 minutes then when the last teacher taught me this . This guy deserves more pay then most teachers he’s great at this
We need to take a moment of silence, He actually spent 3 hours (basically 4) Just to help us. Like we gotta appreciate that, am I right? o_o I mean- Oh myy GAWDDDDDDD
This video is saving my life! I’m 38 years old and I have 54 credits that transferred from 9-16 years ago. I start college again in just a few short weeks and I need to ace this placement test. You sir, are a life saver 🤓 ✏️ 📝 ✔️
To dedicate FOUR HOURS of your time making one video just to help millions of people around the world, shows how GREAT Mr. JG is. You are a truly educator, and probably the most generous and nicest person in the whole planet. Your calm, lovely voice, order with the board, use of color code , knowledge of what you are doing, etc., makes you unique! You are the man Mr. JG, I am a teacher too and my respect for you grows by the second. Thank you very much for helping me, my children and the rest of the world. The best I can do to show my appreciation is buying your merchandise. If I have to pay a tutor for me and my children, I will have to spend thousands of dollars and the result will never be the same. I wish that some day you decide to let us chat with you through zoom and give us the opportunity to THANK YOU "in person". Best wishes Mr. JG, my children and I truly love you!

To the person reading this, Good Luck! Don't stress, everything will be fine. No matter what difficulty you are facing right now, you can overcome it! You are strong and brave, don't worry!
I am currently a senior in high school, and I have just accepted my seat as a mechanical engineering major. Math has not always been my strong suit, but I have always seen the beauty in it. This video is a great review of the basics. I am finding pleasure in doing these examples that you have provided. After this, I will be moving on to Calculus 1 to be prepared for my first year in university. Wish me luck!
I'm studying right now , and I have to say I'm impressed. I am understanding every thing fairly quickly. Highly recommended to watch this whole video! Thank you!
Honestly my man you make the most informational and thorough videos on youtube in my opinion but what would be awesome : TIME STAMPS please try and time stamp the long videos so i can get a refresher on the few concepts i need thanks for all the videos brotha and keep it up
the fact that all of nature is based upon mathematics may suggest that mathematics is just the code of the computer simulation we are currently living in
Morning Dew Or the way we designed our computer code uses mathematics because that's how the universe works. What came first, the universe or the code? I'd say the universe because there doesn't seem to be any substantial evidence towards code coming first. The theory that our universe's system of logic was designed by beings from beyond our own universe cannot be proven as a nature of it's being, but is nonetheless a possibility. I just find it to be an improbability. Also, this comment had absolutely nothing to do with solipsistic theories, why are you putting this comment here of all places? You have a passion for intelligence thought, which is amazing, but your'e treating intelligence like it is an end, and not a means to an end. Don't just try to look intelligent for clout, actually be intelligent. No judgement, I've done my fair share of brain-bragging too, but people tend to find it pretentious because... it is.
Congratulations to me! It took me almost a day to finish all these lessons, but it's worth it (though I wish he added more complex problems, but whatever he has tons of videos, so I'll just search for it) It's like having a private tutor for free! Thank you man, you're the best! I'm so tired, I gotta rest and review my notes later.
I just want to say thank you. My teacher has a difficulty explaining lessons so I've took the initiative to learn the content prior so i have a general understanding on what is being taught. You've made it simple, concise, and comprehensive. Thanks for that.
I JUST TOOK MY PLACEMENT TEST AFTER BEING OUT OF SCHOOL FOR 10 YEARS AND PLACED HIGHER THAN THE MATH CREDIT I NEED FOR MY CERTIFICATE! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU ARE AMAZING ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
About to take a math placement test at my university 10 years out like you did. Did this video cover everything that was on your placement test or do you recommend refreshing or learning something else? Thanks!
haha this happens to me, except i look out the window and think about, what if we are all artificial intelligence and only god is real in this simulation. and then i hear the teacher say "class is over" and i then i feal sad.
if only mine is like that mine is like - *have done 5 or more activities but guess what?? feels like 4 hours have passed but in reality only 45 mins have passed ;-;
There's a mistake in 1:06:22 , in order to transform from slope intercept form to standard form, the sign of -1/3 needs to changed to positive. The answer of slope intercept form is y=-1/3x the standard form needs to be 1/3x+1y=0 instead of -1/3x+1y=0 and the final answer is 1x+3y=0 instead of -1x+3y=0
It isn’t supposed to take four hours. Every concept, you should spend at least 15-30 minutes on. Do example problems and master the subject. If you don’t, it will leave your mind as soon as it came
@@RagonAkashi It is very applicable in real life. It is a good thing to solve problems to enhance your skill in mathematics. Well, in nerds and mathematicians of course.
1:06:17 I found you a little mistake. You moved the -1/3X to the other side by adding 1/3X but you didn't remove the negative sign. The answer was supposed to be " 1/3X + Y = 0 " instead of " -1/3X + Y = 0 ".
Yes, agreed with Jacob and Rebecca above. The -1/3x needed to be added to both sides of the equation to move the fraction to the left of the equal sign. Then, multiply everything by 3 to remove the fraction. My answer: x+3y=0. Otherwise, this is a great tutorial to help prepare for Algebra II. Thank you.

Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a monster/mammoth Algebra Two Introduction, Basic Review, Factoring, Slopes, Absolute Value, Linear and Quadratic Equations. The entire video is an awesome start for all students who plan to study Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering. Just wanted to say thanks for these easy to understand tutorials. I'm long finished with school, but I'm bored in this pandemic, and I wanted to look at math again (for the heck of it). I remember math being one of those classes I hated. It was not until high school I had a bully of a math teacher who made fun of me for being bad at Honors Algebra II. She said mean things about me in front of the class - even checked my middle school records to see if I was just a horrible math student. Turns out she found out I was very good at math, but for some reason couldn't understand her lessons. By far she was the worst teacher I ever had where I contemplated many dark thinks because she made me feel so alienated, but THIS? I understand this, and I'm happy to realize that I'm not bad at math at all lol.
I'm in 8th grade and I can never sleep. I've decided I'll be watching this whenever I can't sleep. Either way I win, I either learn algebra 2 early or I fall asleep.
@@تجربةأفضلالألعاب It depends, Some times you will start With Algebra 1 if you didn't do it in Middle (Junior High). If you did Algebra 1 in 8th grade then you will be put in Geometry for 9th grade. If you completed both by the conclusion of 8th grade like I did then you will get Algebra 2.
@@تجربةأفضلالألعاب For my high school you can choose classes so It depends but it’s possible to get it for 9th grade. I did geometry in 9th so I’m going to algebra 2 for 10th

I'm gonna hate every second of the review of algabra one and two videos. it's probably 6 hours combined but they will, quite literally, save my life. thank you so much😭🙏
Thanks for putting this online with easy access and making it free. Review of these courses increases your scores on major board exams later keeping you from getting stranded. Thank God it's free.
You should’ve watched this during daytime! You need 8-10 hours of sleep or else the information you’ve learned is wasted after not getting enough sleep.
I have my Algebra 2 final tomorrow so I've been watching this video over the last 4 days, and this is really helping me remember stuff. Thanks for making this!
I came here to help my daughter with her homework. I just learned more in the last hour than I did my whole high-school career! Thank you for such a succinct and easily understandable lesson!
I think this is going to be helpful sense I have algebra 2 this yr. Growing up I was hs and didn't learn real math but the basics, and I struggle really bad now sense I'm in public school. Thanks for this video
I decided to make the stupid choice of taking H Algebra 2 DURING THE SUMMER, and so before I take AP Pre-Calc I'm here walking this video. I don't regret it. I love this man so much, he makes the best reviews.
watching this video bc I have a final chapter test on Wednesday for alegra 2. And I’m freaking out bc I forgot what I learned, AND I failed qrt. 1. Remind you I’m a junior who just started qrt. 2, and on my grades are still an F. It’s not too late to get my grades up... but math is just too hard for me. I blame myself for not paying attention, cheating, slacking, kissing ass to my teachers so they can bump my grade up, and overall not listening in the first place. I really want to like math, but ever since I was in elementary, i didn’t cared about school or math especially. 6th grade I had a teacher, and the only reason why I had one is bc my mom signed me up for one. I liked my tutor bc she would alway bribes me with candy or food so I can do the problem. It helped. But now I’m in high school. Freshman year, again I didn’t cared about school or grades. Why I did that? Idk I just wanted to act cool and would always come school late or wouldn’t even come school at all. My math teacher didn’t want me to fail me bc he knew I wouldn’t survive. All the qrt’s i had straight D’s. In my school D’s are a passing grade. And I some how moved on the the next grade. I know I don’t deserve. Sophomore year, I told myself to just stay focus and don’t slack. I kept that promise, and I passed with a C. But the only downside is that I cheated on most of testes. Ikr stupid. Now here I am begging for some help, staying after school on Thursday in math class for tutoring. Watching your video so I can some what manage to remember what I’ve learned in the past 2 months, so I don’t keep failing my test. (this is why you study guys, stop going on your phones and not doing hw, be productive and stop procrastinating). Bc when it comes to a test your screwed.
that's crazy that im seeing ur comment 3 years later, man im a junior rn and algebra 2 is a living hell because the past two years I've had online school and hadn't learned anything. Im watching this vid a day before my test and I hope it can help somewhat.
Hello Mr. Tutor love u to the moon and back. I never understood algebra in secondary school that's why i read law but today i am studying and understanding maths more than before all thanks to you. I'm just loving your videos.
369 Lennon Maths 1 second ago Great video! Just a quick note of correction: @12:57 For the step after -2x ≤ 2: The inequality sign should be switched in next step as: -2x/-2 ≥ 2/-2 to produce x ≥ -1. You could use symbolab etcetera to check this. I lost marks back in high school for using the approach you used which isn't correct conceptually speaking. So the best thing is to create a new step and have the inequality sign switched at the moment of dividing by a negative number.
I had algebra 1 for like half of eight grade then the pandemic happened then during the pandemic for ninth I took geometry now I'm in tenth and I'm gonna take algebra 2 this year so I'm going over it, I'm pretty sure I learned all of this in geometry but I forgot 💀
Honestly I couldn't thank this man enough... I'm ahead in math but instead of taking algebra 2 before going into college math, I'm taking stats, trig, and algebra 2 all at once💀 I'm not so worried about stats and trig since I've got this channel in mind and was able to watch this video. I'm sure it will help me get a good kickstart to the year and be filled in on what the others have already learned ☺️
mannn. this is for all the people this coming up on algebra 2. okay so first off. The 1st semster it was very veryyyyyyy easy. I was passing with all A's and B's on everything. Tests, daily work, projects you name it. The math is very very simple 1st semester. at least it is at my school. I ended up passing the first semester with a B. Then... that second semester hit. my grades started to plop down by a lot. I was failing all my tests with 40s and 30s. it got very hard. I felt like dropping out of school and getting a G.E.D. but with a lot of cheating and help I ended up passing but barely. If your getting ready to take this welcome to hell math.
Same. The tests were annoying. Trick questions. And questions that had 4 different parts to it. I would forget to do a part and that would cost the entire great.
I watched this video last year but I didn't have this class yet so I didn't pay attention.. im starting alg 2 in 2 days so imma do a quick pre-sesh of info on this subject. wish me luck, I hope I get an A
Hi,dear Mr..please make this equation..Tussa Bakery produces two kinds of cakes; chocolate cake and normal cake. Each unit of chocolate cake requires 9 units of raw material A and 2 units of raw material B. Each unit of normal cake requires 12 units of raw material A and 6 units of raw material B. Each type of cake requires a raw material C. The company has 720 units of raw material A, 300 units of raw material B and 75 units of raw material C. Respective profit from chocolate cake is Birr 45 and normal cake is Birr 70. a) Develop linear programing problem b) Write the problem in standard form c) Solve the problem using simplex method
This is literally your whole grade 10 algebra cariculim... Wish I found this video way earlier.... Legit if you thinking of taking maths core in gr10 watch this video on the holidays, learn everything in it, watch it 3 times a week if need be. You will be way ahead of your class and ready for gr11 no cap...
We didn't have the internet when I was in high school (not like this, anyway) and to "get ahead" you would be like Hermione and just reading the textbooks ahead of time-but that was BORING. Wish we had this back then. I would've probably had a completely different career, tbh.
i took this class last year with the worst math teacher ive ever had, but im going into AP Pre Calc this year so im trying to learn what im supposed to know before going into class. I realy appreciate this cause im so stressed about this year
I'm now in 10th grade. In 8th grade my school made me do algebra and in 9th grade i learned geometry. Now I have to learn pre-calculus I skipped algebra 2 completely and forgot everything about algebra. I had a big test about algebra 2 and failed miserably 2/20. I saw this video and he taught me a whole year of algebra in 26 minutes. I didn't even know how to solve x! now i can solve long equations only because of this video. I'm re taking the test in a few days. I really hope this pays off!
Would be nice if this vid has timestamps. I'm studying for finals and I only have to study concepts from midterms and up. If you're like me Skip towards 3:05:17 and watch from there
I'm about to get into my 12th grade and I'm getting pressured by college exams I'm very bad with math I hope while still on this quarantine I can review all the lessons and prepare well for my tests I'm gonna try my best to get into my dream schools, thank you for this channel it really helps!!!
Thank you soooooooooooo so much! Appreciate these tutors on RUclips, they are the only reason why I’m succeeding in history, math, science and social studies!! :)

Here’s the timestamps for the first 2.5 hours of the video. That’s all I got through while I was studying, but if someone else wants to finish them, that would be great.
I put a lot of work into this, so please don’t delete it @ video owner.

Let's all just take a minute to note that this man took FOUR hours to make this at length study guide for us that covers the fundamentals of all of Algebra II. This is amazing!

can you stop assuming he's a man? He might be a trans or something. People like you are the reason why homophobia still exist.
its a cut version of his complied videos
@@rwzzz Right, but it still took likely 16 hours of work to make the original videos.
@@ifIOnlyHadABrian oh yeah, that is true, and the transitions are smooth, and that probably took effort!

JG, my children and I truly love you!

the fact that all of nature is based
upon mathematics may suggest
that mathematics is just the code
of the computer simulation we are
currently living in
Morning Dew Or the way we designed our computer code uses mathematics because that's how the universe works.
Ahhh I just had this exact catch and was looking through the comments to see if anyone else noticed!! Thanks for calling this out!

1:06:17 I found you a little mistake. You moved the -1/3X to the other side by adding 1/3X but you didn't remove the negative sign. The answer was supposed to be " 1/3X + Y = 0 " instead of " -1/3X + Y = 0 ".
mhm yep i was questioning that too.
@@Fleetstreetbestone can't tell if trolling or serious 😂
yes, you must add 1/3 x to both sides in order to "move" it to the other side of the equal sign. It should read (1/3)x + y = 0, or x+3y=0
Thank you.
He should've left the 0 there, y = -1/3x + 0, before continuing. This would've saved confusion. Sure, it's not needed, but it keeps things organized.
2:40 You can also do this:
5-2(3x+1)=7(2x+5)-8
5+(-6x-2)=7(2x+5)-8
-6x+3=14x+35-8
6x-3=-14x-27
6x=-14x-24
20x=-24
x=-1.2

Thanks mate❤
I'm gonna hate every second of the review of algabra one and two videos. it's probably 6 hours combined but they will, quite literally, save my life. thank you so much😭🙏
Thanks for putting this online with easy access and making it free. Review of these courses increases your scores on major board exams later keeping you from getting stranded. Thank God it's free.
Watching this video at 1 in the morning before my math exam lol
watching this at 1 in the morning for fun
Procrastination at it's best😂👏
You should’ve watched this during daytime! You need 8-10 hours of sleep or else the information you’ve learned is wasted after not getting enough sleep.
It's 2:42 night rn
lol I was doing the same thing
I have my Algebra 2 final tomorrow so I've been watching this video over the last 4 days, and this is really helping me remember stuff. Thanks for making this!
Are you working for SpaceX yet? ; )
its been 5 years. star we are handshaking so bad rn.
@@charlotties_SIX YEARS OH MY LORDY LORD
Legit this video helped me so much! THANK YOU! Like, I tried Khan Academy and I couldn't understand the way they taught but this helped me so much!
I woke up to watching a 4-hour Algebra 2 video, this man needs an award for helping so many people especially for their exams
I came here to help my daughter with her homework. I just learned more in the last hour than I did my whole high-school career! Thank you for such a succinct and easily understandable lesson!
i’m thirty minutes in and this is refreshing my memory so much my brain is gonna explode
1 year worth of class covered in the first 15 minutes. Nice
You clearly are not paying attention in class if the 1st 15 minutes are an entire years worth of learning.
@@yuiop6611 no, that's most of what they covered. It's not that i dont pay attention.
I think this is going to be helpful sense I have algebra 2 this yr. Growing up I was hs and didn't learn real math but the basics, and I struggle really bad now sense I'm in public school. Thanks for this video
Same but I'm still homeschooled but will be switching to public soon. How did it feel?
I decided to make the stupid choice of taking H Algebra 2 DURING THE SUMMER, and so before I take AP Pre-Calc I'm here walking this video. I don't regret it. I love this man so much, he makes the best reviews.
@_gh0stgirlMan a test on the first day of school… just brutal haha
This guy a whole ass w. I could slack off the whole year and just come to him a couple weeks before my final. I appreciate it
Another way to to explain absolute value is it is the distance between your number and 0 on the number line so -17 is 17 away from 0 so |-17|=17
Thanks.

@Saharsh Atluri You're learning algebra II in 4th grade??? Have your teachers even taught long division yet?
watching this video bc I have a final chapter test on Wednesday for alegra 2.

Great video! So the best thing is to create a new step and have the inequality sign switched at the moment of dividing by a negative number.
the best content ever seen on youtube please keep it up
Anyone else have Algebra 2 spring semester last year and now you're trying to learn all of algebra 2 by yourself before taking the SAT 💀

I'm sure it will help me get a good kickstart to the year and be filled in on what the others have already learned ☺️

this is my algebra 2 prep;;; im doing algebra 2 ONLINE bruh i forgot how to divide im crying.

Needed a quick review to start statistics and probability, this revealed a lot of holes in my knowledge, thank you for the video bro!

mannn. this is for all the people this coming up on algebra 2. okay so first off.
Nook Guy 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭

I just use this to go to sleep. I knock out, like in 15 min honestly lol
i should try that
I do the same thing; I just bore myself to sleep
Same it’s bad
Thank you, you are an excellent teacher.
This 4 hour video is equivalent to my 4 year mathematics class.
i took this class last year with the worst math teacher ive ever had, but im going into AP Pre Calc this year so im trying to learn what im supposed to know before going into class.
I love how I'm about to take my algebra 2 final yet I'm watching an intro to algebra 2. I need to get out of online school or something...fuck
