    • @wisteria_yue7405
      @wisteria_yue7405 11 месяцев назад

      @@sippin7732Pre-calc is essentially using basic algebra skills, using them to a higher level, and applying it to new topics (e.g. complex fractions with polynomials and uncommon denominators). For a good foundation to start with, I suggest reviewing functions (linear, quadratic, cubic, quartic, etc...), inequalities, ***factoring***, finding zeros, emphasis on domain and range... As long as you remember your basic algebra and review what you've learned so far you should be fine. A lot of my mistakes were calculations errors and forgetting certain rules. It's difficult and elaborate, but it shouldn't kill you ^_^ this video already does a good summary.
      You shouldn't forget your trigonometry as well, so review that too.

      You should consider just doing a quick google search on how to use pre-calc in real life. Pre-calc probably has many more applications to the real world then you realize, once you do that it will begin to make sense to you on how you can use pre-calc for real-world applications, and to do pre-calc you need this basic information of algebra. To be honest this video was insanely helpful for my midterm in college.

    This really helped me thank you! I am retaking the math PERT testing to get into the highschool at my school, which is a combination school. Because of you, I might pass! Thank you! I might say whether I passed or not. But again, thank you so much! Your video helped more than the study guides did!🎉🎉🎉

    I took a math placement test today and failed. I studied for hours and hours. Initially they told me I needed 56 to pass or test out. I scored a 53. And then they tell me now I need a 80. Every person I talk to tells me a different score. Its like they are moving the finish line away from me. It wasn't a hard test, I just knew my answers were right. There were two that got me that I knew were wrong. They had two terms and a variable to solve for on one side = to (a+b)(a+b) on the other. I could not figure it out. In the end, you cannot see the ones you got wrong to fix it for later testing. You have to take their word that you indeed got it wrong an hope you discover it so fix it. If you say I got four wrong - I'd like to at least see them.

      If I receive 3/4 of something, 12 times, I will eventually have enough to complete 9 pieces.
      If not, then lets say I receive 3/4 of something, 12 times, I will eventually have enough to complete 16 pieces.
      Which is absurd.

    I wish that teachers in my day had used these techniques . They over complicated the material making us go through problems that just should have been more logic and practical rather dragging out the problem in overlaid math steps .

    Hey, correct me if I'm wrong, but 30x^5/48x^9 should net you a negative exponent, correct? Namely, 5/8x^-4?? And then you take the reciprocal for 8x^+4/5.
    Is this right? Thank you. Great review!

      Zol Galon
      Hi, you dont need to insert a negative sign on the exponent since the exponent is already on the denominator.
