  • This algebra video tutorial explains how to simplify algebraic expressions by adding and subtracting polynomials. It shows you how to distribute constants to polynomial expressions and how to add and subtract / combine like terms to simplify the polynomial expression. It also contains examples multiplying and dividing polynomial expressions. it explains how to multiply two binomials, a binomial with a trinomial and two trinomials together. In addition, this video contains a few practice problems of dividing polynomials by factoring & canceling, using long division and synthetic division.

Thank you so much for the video, however, could you factor the 2x^-X+6? because , it does not work if you multiple (3X+6)with (x-2). I tried to factor this , but got confused. because it got to either 2X(X+1)-3(X-2), if there is no common terms, how do we proceed?

Yeah, It's not incorrect, it's incomplete. You have to keep going and multiply 3 by x-2, do the operations and you have a remainder of 12, so your answer would be "2x+3+12/x-2"

Hey when you multiply two x you must have an x power 2
    -5x•6x= -30x power 2

Hello, I hope you will reply to this. At 11:29, I noticed that instead of subtracting -12x2 with -30x2, you proceeded to subtract -12x2 with 14x2, before adding -30x2, is there a reason for this?

its just the same answer even you solve -12ײ -30ײ = -42ײ
      then -42ײ + 14ײ = -28ײ
