    Great video Tom & James.
    Car theft now extremely bad.
    Thieves are easily getting around how the vehicles are sold, with OEM security devices.
    Extra security devices, such as what Pandora offer, are now an essential requirement.
    Considering how much a decent prestige / sports car costs nowadays, and the wait time between ordering it, and delivery, not much fun when your vehicle gets stolen… 🤷🏻‍♂️

    The main issue with trackers and immobilisers is the cowboys fitting them. They usually locate them where they are easy to fit (and easy to remove). Usually a handful of bunched up wires bound in black sticky tape and a small box with the unit name on it. Removable in 10 minutes. These guys sound a bit different!

    Hey everyone! 👋 If you've ever wondered why there's been a spike in Range Rover thefts lately, let's dive into it! 🚗💨 One reason is that these sweet rides are loaded with cool tech, which unfortunately makes them tempting targets for tech-savvy thieves. Plus, the demand for Range Rover parts is crazy high on the not-so-legal market. To keep your own Range Rover safe and sound, think about beefing up your security game. You can go for nifty anti-theft systems, try out eye-catching steering wheel locks, and always pick well-lit spots for parking. And hey, keep those keys safe - a snug spot at home and away from windows works like a charm. Remember, no plan is 100% thief-proof, but mixing and matching these tips could seriously make those thieves think twice before messing with your wheels. Stay savvy and keep that Range Rover protected! 🛡🚙😎

    I keep my clam behind teh drivers seat in a box in the foot well. they Key you have is NOT susceptible to relay theft ..it uses UWB unlike the old 2018 keys ....
    the latest development of JLRs keys with Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) protection should further counter these hi-tech attacks, where criminals intercept signals between the vehicle and key to unlock the car.
    'Vehicles are not vulnerable to that method when equipped with this technology, which also mitigates the requirement to store keys in a faraday pouch,' the vehicle manufacturer states.
    If you have the old style key I would suggest disabling keyless entry ..(sit in car & press headlight button on key fob 3 times and unlock button once )

      They’d have to prove it directly caused an issue you are claiming on. So no

    • @mad4tar77
      @mad4tar77 5 месяцев назад

      @TGE Sadly that's not true. The reality is the car manufacturer could simply say that the warranty was voided by you cutting wires etc, and the only option you'd have would be to start a costly and lengthy legal battle.
      I'm in the market for additional security for my car, currently I use a dislok at night time and enable valet mode on the car. Valet mode is a factory feature in my car, it transmits the car's location to my phone, has to be unlocked by pin on the car's touchscreen before starting the car. Thieves can, and I've seen pictures of them do it, cut through the plastic at the bottom of the dash and cut the wires to the modem, thus disengaging valet mode.
      I've also hidden a samsumg smart tag in my car.
      In 30 years of car ownership I've never had a car theft attempt, until I bought my current car new 2 years ago. I had two failed attempts to get my car keys within three weeks of each other shortly after getting the car. Not fun.
      I'm interested in adding more security, but it has to be something that does not cut into the manufacturer wiring as I don't want any opportunity for the manufacturer to try wriggle out of any future warranty issues. Also I'd like to add security that doesn't make it hassle to start the car everytime when I'm out and about, popping in and out of the car.

      We have a solution for most cars on the road today. All our alarm packages come with a digital shock sensor. This will help notify you of parts theft or even vandalism. You can also add extra bluetooth sensors, which can be hidden descretly around the vehicle.

    I always thought that anti hijack was banned in the uk now in case a remote immobilisation causes an accident resulting in injury or death. You’d be liable I’m afraid.

      Hi Calum, this is a very good point! Pandoras anti hijack ensures the vehicle slows down to a safe speed before immobilising- the hazards will also flash to warn other drivers the vehicle is immobilised, preventing crashes or injuries 🙏

      @calumberry4099 Год назад +1

      That’s impressive! So if the cars tearing up the road at 100mph and you activate immobilisation via your app, the car will automatically brake then stop the vehicle?

    • @PandoraCarAlarms

      @@calumberry4099 Yes! Once your ID tag is no longer detected, the car will slow down to a safe speed and immobilise 🙏

    I still dont see how the car can be stolen with a Ghost fitted. Without the code it can only be stolen if towed and even then they cant go anywhere in it. You say that they generally know where the Ghost is installed but no way they are going to have the time to take these out.

      They are trying to sell a pandora and telling you a guy's car was stolen whilst having a coffee with a ghost on it 😂 . If that happened then it wasn't fitted correctly by authorised installers or the guy paid them to steal it and gave the pin 😂😂
