Automatrics London Stolen Range Rover Recovery Operation 110319

- Опубликовано: 5 май 2019
- A London based customer reports his Range Rover Autobiography stolen after he forgot to arm the Automatrics MTrack motion sensor. We remotely connect to the car tracker unit and receive a GPS location near garages in Shirbutt Street close to Canary Wharf, London. Automatrics dispatch a radio signal finder to track down the stolen vehicle parked in the corner of a car park. But the area looks unsafe for the owner to attend so the finder calls the Met police on 999 to ask for assistance, however before the police arrive, this car tracker recovery plan takes a turn in the wrong direction.

This needs to be aTV show
Agreed
Tbh, i enjoy the raw footage and POV style he takes. Having a producer dress up his work will take away from his journey. I just wish they were uploaded more often.
They have been on TV before. I don't remember which one it was though.
Was called Thief trackers :)
Agree but tv could spoil it like they do most stuff
A £100,000 car that can still be stolen by a common crook without the keys is disturbing!
Well without that Range Rovers are known to be poorly made cars with terrible engineering. They break down all the time, ask people who own them.
Install a kill switch ez
@The life of Stewie I think they said it was hot wired and broke window to gain access
@@TheJPHarvey Just prooved these cars are over-designed in technological terms. Which subsequntly leads to high breakdowm rates as prooved by many rankings and moreover by their high value loss. Doug demuro has covered well the ownership of one of those online. There was hardly any time where everytinhg worked at once.
@@TheJPHarvey I have never owned such a car, the decision based on facts , say, J. D. Power reports on vehicle dependability 2018 among all others. Should you and your alleged friends not report faults with your bottom-of-the-charts cars, makes me question the reality you live in. Or maybe those ranks, surveys and owner experience vids widely available throuought the net are all a plot?

Police could find the people in those 2 vehicles that came to take the Range Rover. They just can't be bothered
@@Saxoncloset That was the most awfully written, confusing, and frankly bs piece of gibberish I've seen written on this site, and I've seen a few. Also what makes you decide to bring race into this? Would you like some sauce for that chip on your shoulder?
@@deadlydizzle7588 The police certainly took their time here.. and was there any attempt to catch the thieves? I did notice this was in and around Tower Hamlets - a Muslim area. Those of us that are able to update our perspectives have seen plenty of recent evidence of police, politicians and leftists, more concerned about cultural sensitivity than catching criminals.
@@pumpkineater23 Yes, but at the same time, you have comments claiming police only respond to and look after the rich. The owner of a £100k Range Rover would presumably have money but the police were slack still so doesn't fit that theory.
IMO, the police for the most part are now just more lackadaisical these days and more concerned by petty, easy to solve crimes or those that earn their coffers more money. I say this as a black guy who's suffered a pricey car theft myself.
Deadly Dizzle - You just asked someone why they brought race into this and then you mention you’re black. Was there any need for that?
@@joseph1807 I brought it up purposely to show the needlessnous of race as part of the discussion. Highlights that it doesn't matter about race because by example it makes little difference. Money talks loudest for the most part, but this example also went against that trend.
The 3 people who stole this Range Rover have disliked the video.
The people know what they are looking for. Its the fob antenna modulator sensors. the rest I won't say... its sad though... car companies had a bad background in security. It's up to the customer to attach a system to really keep it safe. In Australia, over 200+ cars go missing in a day! around that amount end up in the middle east in very shady areas where they replace the vin/ecu and rechip the things to look like a scrap car has been revived! or just run them into the ground.

You should take some wheel clamps along with you when finding these stolen vehicles.
They'd probably burn the vehicles out on the spot if they came back to see it clamped.
@@olliedavies3696 I was thinking that. They would do something like that out of spite.
I'd rather my car be burnt than owning it after it's been ripped apart

Another great recovery but very annoying that a 100k+ vehicle is located at the first location and the police are slow to respond to secure this vehicle for evidence from a theft. Well done Automatrics on another successful recovery. Brilliant tracking equipment
Not the police's fault they have been cut to the bone by the current government, don't have the budget or the numbers to do their job. Conservatives like to say they are tough on crime but will not fund the police properly.

Don’t blame the police for being slow mate. Blame this guy for showing his hand. The Range Rover was clearly being watched from one of those flats. He’s lucky he found it a second time.
police busy following up on an offensive Facebook comment
Yep
First in, first served. The police can only do one job at a time!
Fucking stupid comment, have tyou seen the serious crimes stats in the UK, the police are run off their feet you idiot. you want the police at every crime everywhere? STEP 1 go the your local government representative and petition them for more officers! STEP 2: grow a brain and ask yourself, why there are not enough police. STEP 3 don't make retarded comments blaming the wrong shit for lack of sufficient police.
DAGATHire , we currently have more police officers than at any other time since the force was started, the issue is not lack of staff its poor management, police spend more time protecting private companies than people , you just need to look on RUclips to see how it takes 6 officers to assist the BBC to collect money for TV license , I myself had my van broken into 3 times, only once did the police attend and that took 3 days only for them to say no point in checking for prints just claim on insurance, they didn't even want a list of what was stolen, yet only 2 weeks ago I find police checking the bin stores in the apartment block I live at , I asked why and the reply was they had a report of people not putting rubbish in the bins !!! I am in no way anti police and have family in the force , I just believe it's more than just extra officers required .
Too many little shits with knives
Admiral are probably only calling to make sure the tracker actually is working, there just trying to find a way out of paying it off...
Of course insurance company doesn’t want to pay
REAL AMAZING WORLD they still pay when it’s stolen recovered
@@asmathanif8846 problem is there’s still an excess to pay.
Police was too busy handing out tickets for doing 79mph on an empty 3-lane motorway at night.
Once again, another fool who's no idea, those handing out tickets are traffic officers, these type of calls are routed through to response teams on a borough, who can't report you for speeding, as they don't carry speed guns, nor have the training required in order to accurately judge a car's speed, unlike traffic officers. Learn your stuff before you make yourself look silly online.
@Marion Peretti No shit, i'm fully aware of that, but you're entirely missing the point, same as the original comment, traffic officers, surprise surprise, spend time enforcing traffic, on the roads and transport policing command OCU, they're the ones that get involved in the fatal collisions, the high speed pursuits, stand at the side of the road with speed guns, etc.
Borough officers, in this case, response team, take the 999 and 101 calls, which is exactly what this is, thus response officers deal with these type calls, especially when it's a parked up vehicle.
Now if response officers try to stop said stolen vehicle, and the driver takes off, now that's when traffic officers can also come into it and will assist, as the majority of them are trained to pursuit level as standard.
@@thefiestaguy8831 You're missing the point. There's a finite number of pounds available for policing duties and the OP believes it would be better spent enforcing this sort of crime and not enforcing speed traps.
yeah lol
@@samuelrs5138 You only say that untill some idiot speeding (because there are NO consequences) kills your wife and kids because he lost control.
funny thing is, if you go to Google maps and look at the satellite view of that garage area near Canary Wharf, you can see the crazy looking van parked in the same spot
Man this looks like a fun and rewarding job, finding stolen cars and returning them back!
No police on 999 call says how bad London is.
To be fair it's a stolen car it's not really high priority.. If the bloke with tracker said to the police the men are here the gang etc etc it takes it up couple of levels and police would be little faster.. Stabbing or stolen car? Get me point mate.
I think most crimes are low priority in London.

@@CUBEoneVX Call Anna Soubry a nazi and it's all hands on deck to find the nasty person who dared call her what she really is.
same happens if you call 911 here in the US. if you call 911 with a non-emergency, police come as available. I live in the subburbs of Los Angeles and we had a car on our block whose alarm system went off after 1am, and it was one of those loud annoying af aftermarket systems, enough that it woke up the entire neighborhood, so it caused everyone to get up, go outside and gather, waiting for police to come, and left us pondering if we should break the window, pop the hood and disconnect the battery.. because in the end it took almost an hour for finally an officer to show up.. but by then, the owner of the car had already showed ~10 minutes prior with embarrassment and shame and had disabled the alarm.
There are even cases where you dial 911 and are stuck on hold.
Another brilliant recovery. Such a missed opportunity by the police though. If only they came out sooner and staked the place out for half hour they most likely would have caught the people involved and no doubt recovered more stolen vehicles on fake plates.
Fake plates. Cloned plates. Stolen plates. Take your pick.
I can't believe that in UK and specially in London it's so hard to get police! :O

Another amazing video! And also, I've never seen one of those vehicle-lifting recovery trucks before. In "Murica", we use good old-fashioned tow hooks or straps, then drag the vehicle onto the platform, ensuring something WILL get damaged in the process. It's the American way.
American seems like a very backwards country. Like I still don't understand why all the electrical cable's are overhead and not berried in the ground. Like in the UK and pretty much all the other developed countries around the world.
the second time they stole the car, they attempted to locate the tracker as you can see the way they've opened up all the wirings. there was clearly a scout looking out to see if soemone was inspecting the car when you found the car initially
True. The first parking location was probably to sit and wait a while, to see if it did have a tracker fitted. So the police wouldn’t find their chop shop straight away.
Love watching these, when I buy my next car I will definitely be calling these guys to protect my purchase. Even if the car is stolen knowing that someone will try to find it is a worthwhile investmeny

You're a great videographer. Good narration, easy to follow. Very interesting video, thank you!
R/F theft is getting too common now I’m more shocked that a 100k Range Rover doesn’t have the capability of being remotely shut down by the owner , another good video 👍
The "OnStar" module can be disabled. And it's MUCH easier to find -- it's in the same place in every car. The tracker, thankfully, was much harder to find.
jfbeam Onstar is old tech and will soon be going offline for good , I’m not talking about a subscription service that manufacturers sign up to I’m talking about manufacturers having their own systems in place , take Tesla for example with there version you can do pretty much any form of communication through the app on ya phone and if that gets compromised then Tesla can override the system from HQ ,97% of all Tesla’s stolen in the US have been recovered successfully 112 out of 115, sadly in this day and age the tech needs to be one step ahead of the car thieves and yes without them satellites in the sky we would all be screwed.
@@alancobbin1310 It's still an "onstar' like device. Pull the cell radio and they can't do crap to the car. (it's often as simple as pulling a single fuse. Security is near the bottom of the list for 99% of car makers)
@@jfbeam you can pin protect the tesla car witch is bit harder to bypass (even if you have the key or not even tesla remote start won't bypass it) as the pin is only accessible via the center console and you need to get pass that before the car will unlock Brakes and enable drive (most don't enable the pin protect mode)
Only solution is a ghost alarm to stop it actually being stolen, the is the best option for recovery though. Personally i would opt for prevention.
The only channel I'm notified when a new video is uploaded. Quality stuff.

keyless entry thing is silly, one car on this channel was stolen off his drive and he had cctv of it been stolen ,it was like 10-20 seconds most of that was getting the keyless booster setup in the right place),
if you going to get a stupid expensive car (or a car that might have high chance to be stolen) make sure you can turn off the keyless mode off so you have to press the unlock button on the key as that signal is active only when you press it and can't be cloned as easily (not imposable) but cars this high price can't see why you don't have a 3rd party remote immobilizer installed (a smashed window to gain access to the OBD port which won't get them anywhere is better than a stolen car which might not be recoverable even if as a tracker)
if it's tesla owners do both disable wireless entry and set a pin protection (having the key is not enough to start the car if you don't enter pin on center console)
lee x I couldn’t of put it better myself, these things should be picked up by insurance companies and make car manufacturers implement these ideas.
@@leexgx Good thing also pretty cheap would be having a key in a special box, acting sort of like Faraday's cage literally blocking everything. Impossible to pick up signal required for cloning.
