Five Stolen Vehicles Theft Recovery Operation From Automatrics

- Automatrics receive a call from a plant hire company asking for help to find five stolen Takeuchi TB216 mini excavators. The machines worth circ £100K were taken during a burglary from a water treatment plant in Hatfield. Follow the theft recovery operation to see if Automatrics can overcome a series of operational challengers with help from local police. Big thanks to the attending police teams, including Shaun and Miles. We also pay our loving tribute to the memory of Mel who can be heard supporting Richard who we tragically lost earlier this year, we all miss her immensely. Rare to say this, but an amazing response, dedication, and support from the police. It's a shame that the nationwide police response to crimes isn't as good as this. Regardless of the video / case age, it's been worth the wait
had bikes stolen. located the bike and phoned the police in and the police didnt even turn up after 5 hours. fucking joke

@NIKOtheMONKEY for aerial surveillance, yes. Dji mini 2 is so small and quiet at distance but would easily identify plant equipment out in the open or give a clearer understanding with regards to the lay of the land etc
@@AW-Servicespolice drones are alot more advanced than the DJI drones. They have thermal imaging there bigger than normal drones proper pieces of kit.

I would bet that last digger has had a tracker installed SOOO fast after this. :)
this might sound counterintuitive, but having an older style website can make it less vulnerable to attacks. essentially because you dont support the newer stuff, means you cant be compromised from that attack vector. Its an odd strategy but a good one.@@CaptainHoratioPugwash
Trouble these video's over time have revealed exactly what technologies and frequencies they're using making them not hard or expensive to defeat when the thieves get wind of it, which they will. They only show the successes, how much stuff have they failed to find because the thieves have seen these videos?
Safe to say these are the best uploads on RUclips.

I wondered whether the delay was due to the prosecution of the people responsible for the thefts.

Excellent well done. lorry didn't have no tax and mot the police knew that they were on to a winner. And the tools in the garage can be traced back to other burglaries.
The police actually acted how they should act.

For checking in garages and places just grab a USB endoscope camera that you can poke under the door.
Probably should get yourself a drone too for looking in compounds and places you cant acess or a bit nervous of going into places by yourself.
Good call. I commented same about drones aswell. Something like a dji mavic drone can travel some good distance to search.

Don't forget this was filmed during lockdown so apart from breaking up a few party's they didn't really have much to do during the days

Imagine that in 2023, drones with an RF receiver would also be part of your recovery toolkit depending upon local laws.

Fair play for doing all this in a Focus RS. I can't imagine taking mine in journeys like this. 1) very uncomfortable (handles amazing though) and 2) incase a criminal at these recoveries damaged it
We need a video every week - I have watched every one on this channel at least 3 times, its causing marital problems now.
As an ex criminal who did some bad things all I've ever wanted to do was put things right. Your job to me seems so rewarding keep up the good work. And I suppose technology does have its perks
Well done and excellent result. I don't have plant, or high value tack, but watching your uploads in have recommended you to many folk who have, by simply sharing some of these videos with them.
Good to see proactive policing too. The rozzers get a bad press a lot of the time for not doing enough, but the two lead officers from the different constabularies really did their profession proud.

Very good result on this one. Good to know that the police were very helpful and have decided to take forensics and hopefully they will be able to make arrests and have these criminals taken off of the streets.

Great work. And necessary. The mini machines keep getting more and more capable, which makes them more and more valuable and prone to theft. But the sad truth is anything the size of a power drill and up can grow legs and vanish. Good luck getting any US police to care even for a big machine.

As soon as I saw you heading down Cuffley Hill towards station road I knew they’d be in that industrial estate. Cuffley is residential and quite a “well to do” area so unlikely to be anywhere else.
