- With car theft becoming an increasingly worryingly issue, I'm sure you've all seen the CCTV footage of cars being stolen in the middle of the night with ease via relay theft or by someone car jacking you, we'd had many requests from customers about how to protect their car from people who don't want them to own it anymore.
Pandora seemed the obvious choice for us, and we are now an authorised dealer and installer of them. We wanted to run you through the features of their alarm briefly, to show you how it combats slowly increasing risk of becoming a victim of car theft.

Anti theft systems like these are a necessity now, definitely worth spending the money on
I have a decal of Chuck Norris on my M2 and that kept my car protected from scratches and theft

Hi, does this mean a thief can still gain entry with keyless booster but not start it with pandora fitted?

Here in America my M4's 6MT is the biggest theft deterrent because nobody here knows how to drive stick anymore.
Definitely going to get the Pandora after seeing all the features here though. Love the carjacking feature and remote engine start.

Does the engine start work with a Manual gearbox M2?

i think its worth it for this, if your spending that much and your car has keyless entry, even if it does not then its still worth it i think with basic thought, spend 30-40k on a car and nothing on protection, you even protect paint then no alarm like this. I''d have it without thought, lucky for me no keyless/comfort entry.

I keep my keys in a solid copper box. Faraday cage. Cost £3. Perfect protection. How much is pandora in comparison?
You don’t get a copper box but a good key
No, I understand that, I’m just saying keeping your current key in a faraday cage blocks all signals so the relay boost won’t work externally. Cheaper and a just as effective remedy. :)
Hi, do you have or someone experience with Pandora alarms - that remote control was cheated by any wireless devices? Im looking for alarm system in my country for Pandora model Light Pro - but its all wireless checking system, so it can by cheated, maybe... there is a very small qty of videos or any infos from users that this system is unbreakable. I know that all systems can by overcome... Also I compare it with system from our country... VAM R1 (VAM is slovak antitheft system with ZERO number of stealing.) but its electronic-mechanical system, you must to put a blackbox to active system/ than its possible to start a vehicle... and this option is for me not very comfortable...

Recommendations for an e92 m3?
We’d recommend the Smart Pro but it really depends what you’re wanting feature wise.
Prizrak Tec 810 or 830. Pandora is crap.
With Prizrak the car cannot be stolen even if they have the keys or even if they switch OBDs. Also, Pandora is hacked check youtube videos and google,

Pandora vs Auto ghost?
Pandora does a lot more, they aren’t really comparable.
1 is an alarm system, 1 is an immobiliser.
That App is shit, 13,0 V Battery charge level while engine is running ?
This car is never getting over a bump . It’s so low… but using phone to unlock and all that stuff just makes it easier for thieves. They steal your phone and that’s it ..
They would need to know to steal your phone also, and even then you can use someone else’s phone to remotely disable it.
Car has been that low for 6 years, gets over bumps just fine.
@@EvolveAutomotive oh wow nice.. even though I have an x6 with a lip, I’m still cautious going over bumps. As for the immobiliser. I’m sure thieves keep up with all the RUclips videos and the latest safety methods people use to keep their cars safe so they will be taking someone’s phone as well as car.. if this happens (God forbid) how can one use another phone to disable car. Won’t it have had to be paired to car ? Or is it a case of calling a number or what. I’m actually looking for a secure system for my car and I’m confused with which to go for , the phone Bluetooth thing is freaking me out cos that could get hacked or just make it easier . I prefer just entering the code in car and nothing remote that can be cloned
In the US we use something called the Viper anti theft system
We had a Viper on our E92 M3, this System is far more advanced.
Sigh... so now I have to kidnap people too... ;)

The pandora system looks good but it clearly uses radio so presumably if a thief has time they could find the unit
If they have time a thief could uninstall basically any alarm system. This is why multiple immobilisation points are used, to make it as difficult as possible to remove.
put a ghost immobiliser on my m2 comp
Not a bad first defence but we chose a more comprehensive system that’s much harder to bypass.
But the ghost version 1 doesn’t use radio so theoretically is better

What really really annoys me about this system is just how unbelievably bad it is at updating the status in the app. Even in this video you can see that it takes ages for the engine to appear as running (which is a big deal if i'm far away and I can't hear if the engine started or not) and then it remains in the `running` state until he locks the car manually, although the engine had been turned off long ago. And it seems very strange that literally *nobody* is mentioning these problems, these are quite clear paid reviews in my opinion....
