    - Biggest comeback to clinch a WS
    - ZERO earned runs by Cole in game 5 but still lose
    - Verdugo pimp job on a 325 ft pop fly to make it 4-2
    - 2 Jabronis mugging Mookie and then getting praise from Yankee fans
    - Billy's Sports bar trash actually cheering Ohtani's injury
    - Practically everyone in media picking the Padres, THEN the Mets, THEN the Yankees despite the Dodgers being a superior team
    - 2 losses when Cole started
    - Epic choker Kahnle who blew game 4 in 2022 NLDS losing the last game of this WS

They've watched the Red Sox win 4 during that time. This isn't the 20th century anymore, and the old hallowed Yankee Stadium is gone. This franchise isn't above everyone else anymore, and its bee like this for 25 years.

It took the Dodgers 36 years to win a WS. Who the heck cares about Yankees only have two titles since the millennium started. That's all a reflection on the owner who is in.comptent and refuses to get rid of deadweight. So you and the rest of the h.aters could stop making yourself feel better because mark my words they will be back. And to compare them to the cowboys who haven't won since 96! Is ridiculous. I only say they choked for two reasons, 1. because they finally make it to the World Series for the first time in 15 years and then they completely fail and show why they were probably one of the worst Yankees teams to ever reach the World Series, the other reason I say they choked is because they had every opportunity to win the game and force the series back to LA, instead 3 errors in one inning allowed the Dodgers to tie it and then giving up the lead and allowing them to win it with a gentleman’s sweep

First of all, the reason the Yankees lost was because they relied too much on certain players and had a thin roster. The Dodgers had a deeper roster.
Secondly, many Yankees players had an "I'll decide" or "I, I, I" attitude.
All of the Dodgers players were committed to team play, saying "Let's just get on base and keep the ball going."
I think this difference in awareness of team play was also the cause of the Yankees' three consecutive errors.
This shows that a team cannot win just by using money to attract good players.

It's absolutely fascinating how almost everyone conveniently developed a selective memory about Ohtani's injury, right? It's like, who even remembers that inconvenient little detail of his shoulder dislocating in Game 2? It's almost like injuries are just totally minor inconveniences that don't have any impact at all, especially on the shoulder of an athlete who just might need it for, oh I don’t know, hitting and running.
But let's not trouble ourselves with such trivialities, shall we? I’m sure there’s some cosmic truth in overlooking the fact that Ohtani couldn’t exactly dazzle us from the dugout while nursing what is surely just a slight, insignificant shoulder dislocation. I mean, why let a practical necessity like a functioning shoulder interfere with a good old-fashioned narrative about his supposed lack of performance through injury-induced pain after Game 2?
And before that injury, it's as if Ohtani's clutch double in Game 1, the one that tied the game 2-2 in the 8th and set up Freddie's grand slam, never happened. Funny how that moment doesn't fit the narrative, huh? Heaven forbid we recognize how that hit prevented the Yankees from casually strolling through Game 1 without a dramatic, spirit-crushing walk-off. And sure, let's keep pretending that Ohtani's pivotal contribution to the Dodgers' spark was just completely irrelevant.
Seriously, it seems like no one remembers Ohtani's great LCS performance before the devastating injury, where he had 1.184 OPS, .364 batting average, leading with 9 runs all while moonwalking through bases with his 17 TIMES on base. With a mind-boggling .818 with RISP, the dude basically turned baseball into an artform. He was the unsung NLCS MVP. But of course, let's pretend none of that brilliance ever happened, all because he didn't magically homer in every game with just one hand in the WS.
Not to mention Ohtani saved the team from getting swept by the Padres with his clutch 3-run homer. Without Ohtani, the Dodgers would’ve undoubtedly thrown in the towel in that game and gracefully rolled over, just as they’ve perfected in the last two years.
In summary; these casual critics have such a gift for missing the point entirely, don't they? Overlooking his obvious injury and instead, conveniently summing up his WS as "did nothing", as if the obstacles he faced weren't glaringly obvious and didn’t carry the Dodgers to the WS.

    • @reptilexcq2
      @reptilexcq2 Месяц назад

Here's my honest take on Ohtani. I don't watch baseball. I came to see Ohtani. Overall, I wasn't that impressive. He has his moment here and there, some flashes here and there...but I expect more than that...I expect something the like of Soto performance where they're actually afraid of pitching to him. But I see so many strikeouts from pitchers against Ohtani...that's why he had twice as many strikeouts than against any of his teammate. He had so many swing and miss that makes me question if he's actually that good? I know people talk about how great he is based on the regular season stats...and I don't watch any of those games. I watched only the postseason and came away unimpressive. Now, I can say the same thing about Judge...he's really bad in the first 3 games and again, makes me question if he's actually that good? But then he shows up in game 4 and 5 and erased some of my doubt. Maybe my doubt of Ohtani is also unjust, who knows lol. Maybe sometimes, baseball is just a game of hit and miss and how great of a hitter you are is not necessarily determined by you, but by the pitchers. I truly think the pitchers of Dodgers in game 4 is terrible...thus letting Judge get off the hook.

They earned it. Perhaps Yankees need to go through this. Don’t forget, from 2011-2014 Astros had losing seasons, including 111 losses in 2013. I am not sure if a lot of people know this. but Walker Buehler has pitched 19 innings in WS and has given 7 hits and 1 ER which is impressive. He was ice cold in the 9th. See ya next year its time switch to NBA.

"Ice cold" is a little strong to use when you're facing the bottom of the order!

@@williamkerfoot8039 that same bottom three, Volpe had hit a grand slam, Wells 1 run homer and Verdugo a 2run homer in last 3 games. Secondly, it was only 1 run game so the margin for error was very small.

Soto was remembering when he was chatting with Ohtani, Betts and Freeman at the All Star Game and knew, -he is the piece of the FANTASTIC FOUR!!!!

"boone's a nice man and he's done a prettygood job."
Bro if it wasn't for Boone randomly using Nestor Cortez to close out game 1 this series would still be 3-2 right now.

I cannot believe Nestor Cortez is an actual MLB pitcher. Crazy.

When the Yankees blew that 3-0 series lead in 04, it was a choke.
When the Yankees blew that 5-0 run lead, it was a meltdown.

Boone is one of the biggest enablers I’ve ever seen coach a baseball team. He needs to go back to ESPN
