You should make an ignorant guide to self hygiene
I think he should make an ignorant guide to others hygiene
@@Koettnylle why would it be called others hygiene? He doesn’t make “ignorant guide to others death metal”
Ah yes grindcore
He explains metal, wym
Would be nice.
"The first death metal lyrics were written by an 11-year old"
I 100% believe this.
If somebody suddenly brought Chuck Schuldiner back to life and he saw this video, this would likely be the most confusing thing he's ever seen.
He would need SPIRITUAAAAL HEALINNGGGG
To be fair to Chuck, I'd be confused too if I found out that I was dead for 22 years and suddenly reincarnated
i wonder what he would say to death core tech djent bullsh
@@antares4975 He would probably express support for the artists making it while not really liking it himself. Chuck himself said there are too many limitation on music and he actively sought to break said limitations by introducing stuff like acoustics and jazz to death metal.
@@antares4975really I think he'd love that beautiful bullshit 💪
"To be honest, if you played all these different subgenres to anyone with an actual social life, they wouldn't know the difference and just look very confused." 😅
i still remember the face a friend i was picking up with my car made after hopping in and being blasted by Whorkr's Naat. "are you out of your fucking mind?" XD
Your own definition of "People with social life" not necessarily tell the reality. Rome used to implement the politics of Bread and Circle and all of these "ducks" took advantage of theirs "social lifes".
@@SumeratoGseems you can’t take a joke can you?
I love listening to metal but I still have trouble telling apart subgenres
@@realalpha2000 doesnt really matter
i seriously hope you become more popular in the future its a shame your content isnt super well known
But...... THEN he would be a * gasp * sellout!!1
He’s on the come up
@@kayz.o1054i wonder what video will be his Enter Sandman that ruins everything
it's cooler that he's underground😢
Because he is just a 2nd rate copy of Goniloc.
This is the moment ive spent my life to see
You seen Goniloc?
fr
Nah just jokink, keep on rockin
Dirty sonic feet are definitely essential to the evolution of the genre
bro when i saw that image i almost cried of laughter and disgust
It’s a bonus. You get educated and aroused at the same time.
@@tman2953stop.
"Put those grippers away, Sonic!"
Dude, I'm in class, and that shit pops up !
Fun fact, the original guitarist for Possessed now plays for Primus.
in the early 2000s i was at a queens of the stone age concert and the drummer was danzing's. i was very confused
When I went to go see primus les claypool gave a whole speech about how Larry Lalonde (the guitarist) used to play for possessed. This was while the entire band played over the falls, and Larry Lalonde played a possessed riff. That was fun to watch. It was odd that they did that in the middle of over the falls but eh, it was fun
And he still sucks lol. Never been a fan of Larry lalonde, dude always souns out of tune.
@@randomcompdudeso he is doing the right thing for Primus then
Meh, primus sucks
RIP Chuck Schuldiner.
what I like about death metal, is that it makes me feel better when I'm sad or anxious
that explains why i listen to nothing but slam
me too, it's genuinely relaxing and calming. whenever I'm anxious I listen to blood incarnations starspawn
thats quite poser tho. you should feel your murderous inhibitions lowering
I'm asking genuinely- with genuine, respectful curiosity - What is it about death metal that makes you feel better when you're sad or anxious? I'm a person who honestly is beyond confused by this genre of "music" to an extent that I don't believe it's actual MUSIC at all. I can't make out a melody and every noise emitted out of death metal "songs" puts me on edge and I can pretty much feel my blood pressure rise. I honestly can't see ANYTHING positive about death metal, and I am totally dumbfounded as to why ANYONE likes it.
@@cactuscallie5090 cus it goes hard. I like anything that sounds violent it is cathartic even rap with heavy heavy bass all the way to the most crushing slamming death metal
I like that when playing it through a good sub woofer system a band like Ungraceful hits so hard it makes you feel like you’re floating
It matches my overall mood throughout the day. I’m not someone who feels happy nor pitiful most times so most music meant to sound happy or pathetic just doesn’t resonate with me and throws off my vibe like ketchup on your ice cream
I'm a bit sad that Kreator wasn't mentioned as one of the main influences for early Death Metal Bands.
I like Kreator, but I find that their music has shit replay value.
@@cajunboi4888 Okay that's fine, but I'm referring to the history of the genre. It's like mentioning Gangster Films without mentioning The Public Enemy or War Films while skipping over the influence of Full Metal Jacket.
Like Slayer, early Kreator had that proto-death/black aspect going on, but I think the band that he should have mentioned was Hellhammer/CF.
Kreator is pretty low on the list all DM was influenced by thrash but the most notable influences were bands like Holocusto, Necrophagia, Repulsion, Pungent Stench and Possessed
pleasure to kill was the last good kreator record.
I saw Possesed live in march and Jeff was an awsome guy, riding his wheel chair around the pit and talking to all the fans, he’s the best
carcass and bolt thrower deserved a mention
poseur.
A real death metal fan would have become death, destroyer of worlds.
i had a photo of oppenheimer hanged on my office. one time a coworker asked if that was my father. its been 12 years it still cracks me up
@@2st486 sobbing this is an amazing story but also why the heck did you have a photo of oppenheimer on your desk
@@rlperrin7307 it paired well with my desktop background: a mushroom cloud photoshoped to look like a clown's face
@@2st486 I see (I do not see)
5:10 caught me off guard bro💀😭😭
Finding a death metal band with an audible bass guitar is like finding an oasis in the desert.
nah cause at least oasis' have been documented to exist
@@noahleach7690 My guy have you never heard of Bolt Thrower?
its called a joke dude, i do not care@@kaminsod4077
Autopsy would beg to differ.
Wormhole
Fun fact: Jim Carrey was actually friends with one of the members of Cannibal corpse
I heard Chris Barnes had a Chris Barnes moment on Set.
RIP Chuck Schuldiner the GOAT
He would be proud.
Not. But ok
@@remedialvibes9957 ur mom
No where near a goat and after the second album its not even death metal and also he was actually gay. If didnt then now you know.
@@milenschneewei6754 ahhh stfu you absolute fucking clown. Spiritual healing is death metal, then yeah he fucking evolved and moved toward tech death and then my favorite prog. People literally call him the grandfather of death metal and made music far beyond the capabilities of most in his class. Never heard anything about him being gay, but if he was fantastic that makes him even cooler. You're just a do nothing and he is the GOAT and there is nothing your dumb ass will ever be able to do about it. lololol
As a thrash metal fan who occasionally listens to death metal, I can confirm this is basically what it's like.
I was really surprised when I heard some early Meshuggah music after being introduced to the band through their album "Koloss".
Back then, they sounded A LOT like thrash metal. "Ritual" from their EP "None" is a good example.
Compare that to stuff like "Swarm" from Koloss and it sounds like a completely different band.
@@sebastianahrens2385They were a thrash metal band in their early days.
Maybe you should give Bloody C🎉mshot’s 2nd album a chance. It sounds like swedish melodeath (more like CoB) with thrash elements.
Technical Death Metal, Brutal Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Progressive Death Metal. The list goes on and on about every subgenres of Death Metal.
"Ignorant", my guy you hit nearly every nail on the head perfectly
I met Jeff a few months ago and had a drink with him after a gig. One of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. So good to his fans
Celtic Frost's first two albums also majorly influenced many early prominent bands. This can be seen for example by the fact that a lot of them have made shit covers of their songs. (There are a few good ones too).
Best cover is by obituary
Sepultura - procreation of the wicked
Celtic Shit
For a 9 minute video, you actually covered it pretty well. Though I would have also mentioned melodeath since it was one of the most influential genres of the time, proving you can be both melodic and heavy, in both extremes.
I like all forms of death metal, but my favorite has to be the Florida style of bands like Death and Morbid Angel. They didn't use drop tunings or *that* much distortion, and they had a unique vocal technique that made them a lot more understandable than other death metal genres. Because of that, these bands really sound like they're giving it every single thing they have.
You can introduce people to death Metal- in so many ways start with, Bands like Cannibal Corpse, Death, Obituary and Morbid Angel then Deicide and Possessed to Sweden's Finest Death Metal Bands 💀🤘🔥.
You should do one on melodic death metal! Children of Bodom is one of my favorite bands, and I would love to find more bands like them as well as learn the history of the subgenre!!
Soilwork is another peak melodic death metal band, underrated as well.
@@alexwilson1890 Thank you! These guys are pretty amazing!!
In Flames' earlier albums are probably still the very best in melodic death metal.
@@diegoseba12 Yeah in flames is pretty good!
FINALLY I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE
These videos always make me giggle and kick my feet
Stay strong, better hold on tight
New coolea uploaaaadddd!!!
As a death metal fan and guitarist..... YES 😂 this is awesome I love your videos bro
Ignorant guide to Mathcore please! Loving this series of videos. Death is a top 3 band for me, every album is a masterpiece in my opinion.
I am a death metal drummer and I feel very accurate presented
My favorite genre of constipated singers 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love these videos so much, keep it up man
I've been waiting for this specific video since the thrash metal video, let's goooo
fuckin love cannibal corpse
"They tried their best to avoid being as degenerate as black metal". Truer words have never been said with pure clarity.
1:33 Ahh yes, Nilla Wafers were worth the Weight of Water that the Sun desperately needed
I think your videos would generally profit from playing some examples of the bands and music you're talking about. Not only vaguely in the background.
And a more technical tip: When editing, make sure you cut your audio at a zero-crossing, because sometimes you can hear a clicking sound. For example in this video where you showed the Ozzy interview.
In general, good stuff tho!
This video ripped out my eyes and burned my lungs in the screaming fires of hell as I was ripped apart by the jaws of a hundred starving wolves.
Very nice 👍
Bro you have been WORKING lately. Good shit 👊 your videos kick ass.
bro i know his uploads consistent AF dude is grinding
After all, I'm quite happy Bolt Thrower wasn't mentioned on this..
Yes! I've been waiting for this one. Great job Coolea!
The chat spamming poser 💀
i was going to say something about the nu metal video but held my tongue, holy shit you went way harder on death metal
0/10, the sound of perseverance mountain wasn't turned into a soyjak
Morbid Angel doesn’t have anything to do with brutal death metal
Though it is interesting they have a song named suffocation. What band invented brutal death metal? Suffocation. Coincidence?
That clip you used of Blood Incantation was at a venue in my city!!! I was at that show! So cool to see!
I credit Coolea for my self hatred for being a death metal head. Because of this fear of sunlight, I will stay in my dungeon, growling and getting whiplash listening to Death and Entombed.
The sound of perseverance is the best album by Death. Fight me
Australia never banned sales of Cannibal Corpse albums, just the cover art
I think it took them a while to ban the art because i bought Tomb of the Mutilated when it came out and it had the original cover art. The lyrics weren't there though.
Yeah, I had that too. It happened the mid or late 90's from memory
as someone who understands metal in general vocals are part of the melody if is intended to not be understandable the lyrics
I have had a moment of clarity in which I realized I need to listen to more Death
try listening at: DEATH METAL VS PINK FLOYD
YOOOO LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO FINALLY
Cannibal Corpse is one of the few death metal bands I know, cuz they are controversial; their album covers make me squeamish just by thinking about them. But the Sonic feet tho, quite inconceivable when mentioning death metal's roots.
My favorite type of moosic, good job funny british man
actually morbid angel has been around since 1984 or 83 not sure but they have an album in 86 that’s like darken thrash similar to like darkness descends by dark angel
Strangely enough, venom's black metal was more rock'n'roll than "black metal". Bouncy, riffy, catchy.
Death/crust is my favourite. I really enjoy Filth of Mankind
Death metal is my favorite genre of extreme metal.
looking in youtube at: DEATH METAL VS PINK FLOYD
Love the channel and vids! would love to see an Ignorant guide to skramz at some point. keep up the great work
Man you have unleashed those big sexy wings and are truly soaring. Great content.

That inspired me. Shitpost Overdose. That gonna be my new death metal band.

You should do a Guide to crust punk next. Awesome video btw
Second that.
Maybe Groove-metal need some recognition he deserve !
you're the first channel I've ever acutally bothered to use the Premiere notification with, I enjoy your videos that much.
Fun fact: Death Metal in Sweden was brought through Germany. Germans did alot of Death Metal themselfs and bands such as Kreator, Sodom and Destruction were seen as inspirations for the genre too.
try listening at: DEATH METAL VS PINK FLOYD thanks
The bass on scream bloody gore is orgasmic.
oh golly oh gosh can't wait!
I saw cannibal corpse in concert in Pittsburgh three years ago, the lead singers actually a super cool ass dude, someone gave him a spike plush from my little pony and he cherished it before singing meathook sodomy
I'd love a look at the niche subgrenes of DM and it's mingling with other forms of heavy music such as doom, grind, and yes, even black metal.
i used to listen to Death Metal,.then i started to listen to Metalcore and Deathcore and now im listening to Death Metal again... a full circle..
As a big Cannibal Corpse fan, I can safely say that the Sonic feet pic is more disturbing than any CC album cover.
The poseur posts, I'm perterbed.
Death metal album art should be drawn on cave walls to terrify future archeologists
I was perfectly ready to have to go to a therapist after this video but I think you went a bit easy on us 🤘
Ignorant guide to industrial metal when
It would be fun if someone made a brutal death metal song about a cute love story, probably the hardcore fans would be pissed off, but that’s what would be fun about this
Best editing ever
Chuck Schuldiner remains undefeated in the afterlife. Good thing Bolt Thrower were not mentioned.
dude never stop making these fr
I have a feeling I recognize the guy on the left
I’ve never seen a more perfect documentary.
Ignorant guide to making friends
Discovered this channel one day, watched every video since
That’s definitely @coolea guitar playing skills.
Very metal 🤘
Wow the editing here *chefs kiss*
POSER jk I love your videos they perfectly cater to my scattered adhd brain
The lack of Celtic frost metal guideline videos is fucking disturbing. You could mention them in pretty much every video
The heavens look down and smile today 🌌
As a metalhead who unsuspectingly ran in to this: it's offensive, but not exactly wrong 😂 I hate you!
3:18 "technical prowess" hahahaha good one
The thing is: i think Death was more proggy than death metal in their last days. Much more advanced than CC or anything like that. But not for everyone tastes.
We NEED an egg punk video NOW!!!
