For anyone wondering. The Deathstalker V2 Pro is hot swappable. And you can get low profile optical switches from Keychron. They sell various options (linear, clicky and tactile) for 19$ = 87 pack (TKL uses 87 switches).
What do you mean hot swappable? Swapping to low profile keys to the lekker keyboard? That would be nice. Iam done with big bulky keys.
@@86Raxor By hot swappable meaning you can replace the optical switches underneath the keycaps with other optical variants i.e tactile, linear etc.
I believe the lekker switch uses magnets to operate and will not work with the Deathstalker V2 Pro since it's a light function. The only thing on the Wooting keyboard you can't change are the lekker switches.
I have swapped the linear switches in the Razer Deathstalker V2 Pro with Keychron's Banana Optical Tactile switch.
I lubed them with teflon based Superlube and the feeling is amazing. The sound is also better in my opinion. Added some Krytox 205g0 to the stabilizers. The keyboard feels nice now.
Been using it for a while. The downsides with the keyboard is poor battery life and bad auto sleep function. Seems it drains battery while the computer is off even though it shouldn't due to the auto sleep. Hopefully fixable in a firmware update.

@@Cagefighter Yeah, wired or wireless 👍🏼 Even supports connecting some of the Razer mice to the same dongle so you can save the USB-connection if you're running out of spare connection on the motherboard.

I moved away from my HyperX Alloy FPS pro because the keys were too high and I don't want to use a wrist rest. I've tried the Deathstalker and I definitely like the low profile. Does the Wooting feel high to use? Is there a noticeable difference in height between the Wooting and the Deathstalker?
i honestly can't wait for my wooting to come in, the features packed into a 60% format can't be beat. price doesn't even matter with a keyboard of that kind of performance

We hear the requests for an f-row and arrow key inclusive layout. We don't like rushing out a keyboard, we don't want to "just" make another layout. We want to make sure it is beyond satisfactory for the layout. Patience required.

I've heard various rumor sort of things regarding new products you guys are going to come out with. Is there anything officially announced in this regard (I'd also be interested in wireless)? Additionally, I'm not super knowledgeable about the keyboard world but I know that the 60HE uses a standardized mounting layout and can be put in other cases. Is this something that is possible with the full size HE? I'd really like an aluminum case fullsize (or TKL) but I'm not sure that's do-able.
@@Nick--_ Nothing we can elaborate more on concerning new products. Perhaps only Wooting Double-shot PBT keycaps that are coming in US, UK, DE, NR. Not OEM vendor, new molds.
Only 60HE is compatible with after market cases. There is no other (popular) layout in the world that has a similar thing, where you have compatibility across cases with same mounting. It's a shame.

Ngl I pre-ordered the wooting 60he last night and I am so excited I feel like I'm expecting a child or exotic pet of some type lol, thank you for giving a great show of all of the specs/features and that of the competitors as well it really allowed me to make an informed decision!
BT did you notice on your DeathStalker v2 that when charging it to 100% in synapse it will instantly drop to 96% when you remove the cable? Razer support had me reinstall all drivers and synapse but my unit still has this issue. Not sure if anyone else had seen this.

Man Wooting come out with a 65%. I have the right column of 65% as dedicated volume keys. Need them dedicated keys for volume, discord mute, and arrow keys.
Yeah hopefully they come out with more form factors sooner than later
in their discord basically they told me they had no plans to release 65% telling me id see a tkl before they considered 65%
Use mod tap to change some of the keys into arrows and volume
Use layers!
You can easily get around that with the mod tap feature on the Wooting. You can set it so when you hold "right shift" it uses shift, but when you tap the same key it will mute discord for example.

Apex Pro Mini vs Wooting 60HE - Feels bad i can't buy the Wooting 60HE here in the Philippines. Hopefully Steelseries will have some firmware update for added "Rapid trigger" that's why I have no choice to buy the Apex Pro Mini

when you say that you can replace the switches on the wooting where do you find them? i looked at the wooting website and didn't see any option to buy them exlusively
They give you a few in the box if any go bad
any cherry mx keycap will work. you can pull the actual switches (to lube them) but they are not interchangeable with anything else.
Have you tested the GMMK 2? It's the only option for 65% keyboards for me i think. Or is there any better prebuilds?

@@joshmkl ill never buy another fnatic product after they sent me a streak with stuck and scratching switches. it was an early model but it was the worst quality control ive ever seen in my life and they wouldnt offer a refund.
i tried their product early to help with my disability but theyre the only company that has ever stiffed me with a 100 dollar brick, and i have tried them all.

since it said it'll be shipped by Nov 2022

plus the time it takes to be delivered is massive in my country due to customs

I dont think theyre good to be compared? Wireless vs wired is already not worth comparing anymore. G915 vs deathstalker would be better. Same with TKL and full, same wireless, lightspeed and hyperspeed, both low profiles, both with media keys. I mean this is a bad match up from the start it will only depend on personal preference. It was mentioned that it was compared because these were the best of “gaming” for 2022, still I think they were not in the same category. Just count the no. of keys

wooting replied to this Q in another video basically saying "we're always thinking of new ideas, but don't want to just cut their two HE, would want to engineer something from ground up", so just a light hint it might be coming, but no estimates or anything. With that, I'd be surprised if we saw anything within the next year, but it's probably coming at some point, and they'll likely try to do something like they did with the 60he where the pcb could be used in typical mod cases

Using the razer ones, those have been the grippiest keycaps I have ever tried. I'm not sure if they will hold up, but they make me not want to change the keycaps for the time being.

@midevo_ Actually, really well. Still daily drive this keyboard. The only way I'd upgrade to anything else would be a wireless wooting 65 or an equally good variable actuation board. But unfortunately, there are no wireless options as of now.
Keycaps genuinely look as good as the day I bought it, though keep in mind I'm not a disgusting or greasy person so I often clean my stuff, which probably has helped.

I‘m in the same boat when it comes to the wireless Wooting, so I‘ll just buy this one and wait for the upcoming wireless offerings made by Wooting. Have a good one!

I ordered my wooting in July with air ship and still hasn’t shipped out yet. I never had to wait 4 months for any shipment. Just nuts. I should cancel.

Don't throw away your hard earned money people. These revieres all get the keyboard for free,! If you actually send Wooting your money lol, don't plan on seeing a keyboard before 2024!!! The company has no manufacturing budget or controls, you will be waiting in a long que while they ship what products they can push out to reviewers only. Stick with mainstain labels, companies that have a viable customer service department, not a smoke and mirror discord channel! There is no reviewer who will vouch for the availability or warranty handling of this product! Don't give your hard earned dollars to these crooks!

So sad the Wooting makes everything right with the leeker switch and the software but daim does the 60% sound disgusting.
Yeah, the two HE sounds really awful as well.
I have a ton of different keyboards and the wooting is definitely the best stock sounding out of all of them, you can always switch out the case or keycaps to get that clicky laptop keyboard sound if that's what your in too
Also the Apex Mini Pro soon since it takes 35 grams of force.
