This French toast breakfast casserole is so flavorful and a family favorite. Whenever it’s baking in the oven, the warming notes from the cinnamon lures the entire family into the kitchen. It’s the ideal way to use up leftover stale bread that you may have lying around the kitchen. Plus, it’s hands-off as you don’t have to flip the bread in the pan, making it a lot easier to feed a crowd.

Made it so much easier. Haven't baked it yet. Waiting til tomorrow morning. Hopefully it turns out as good as yours looks. French toast is one of my #1 favorites. Thank you!!

Years ago, family found a recipe in a farming magazine for blueberry french toast casserole, very similar to this. Day old bread cubes soaked in a mixture of a dozen eggs, vanilla, milk and maple syrup, topped with blueberries and cubes of cream cheese tucked throughout. It also came with a recipe for a blueberry syrup and it's still a family favorite to this day.

Yummy! We call this recipe Bread & Butter Pudding in the UK. Traditionally, it has raisins or sultanas added and the bread is sliced and buttered, but I make it with Panettone (and don't let the bread soak for too long or it will go to a mush)..

That looks amazing! I make a Blueberry Stuffed French Toast in casserole form, but I bet I could alter it to be in chunks like this! Thanks for the idea 👍
