I LOVE that you NEVER waste ANYTHING! Drives me crazy to see a cooking show & they leave food in the bowls! THANK YOU for ALWAYS being such an inspiration to us!!!
I remember this recipe from when you shared it on your show. I've made it for Christmas mornings a few times and it's always a big hit! I even switch it up a bit after Christmas by using leftover eggnog in place of the half and half. Add some dried cranberries and it's so good! Maybe one day you could give it a try Miss Paula☺ This recipe even inspired me to come up with a bread pudding recipe. 🍞Cranberry Eggnog Bread Pudding Ingredients: 3 c 2% or whole milk 2 c eggnog 1/2-2/3 c sugar, keep in mind the eggnog is full of sugar 7 eggs 2-3 tsp cinnamon, keep in mind the eggnog is full of spice 1 dash(es) nutmeg, optional 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 8 c 1 lb. loaf of French bread 2/3 c dried cranberries 3 Tbsp butter Directions: 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter the bottom and sides of a 13 x 9 casserole/baking pan. Set aside. 2. Tear by hand or chop the French bread into 2 inch cubes. Evenly layer cubed bread on the bottom of the buttered pan. 3. In a saucepan, over medium heat, warm milk, eggnog and butter along with cranberries. Set aside. 4. In a large bowl mix sugar and cinnamon together. Add eggs, vanilla and stir. 5. Slowly, while stirring, add the lukewarm milk mixture to the egg mixture. Set aside. 6. Pour batter on top of bread. If using cranberries, you may spread them out at this time. Bake 45-50 min. The top should be golden. Enjoy!

Paula just brought back a ton of memories and made me ugly cry for my dear friend Bertie that passed away on my birthday this year...May 2nd the world lost an amazing woman..so tender, so caring..just everything a good country woman is. thats probably why her first name was/is Carrie. She used to make these awesome pecan rolls. After awhile I was making them with her. They call for some of these ingredients Paula is using. When she said Karo...I lost it. Right then I was back into that farmhouse kitchen with my friend of many years. Sitting around the kitchen table for hours learning life lessons and how to cook. Rest in peace Bertie. I hope u knew what u meant to me and how much people loved u.

@@bonniebrown6960 Well I'm not young anymore so it's been a long time since those days. But I was a late arrival of a big litter of children and mom was up in age by the time I began hanging out in her big kitchen. I learned to cook by watching her as we did "mother son therapy and training." We were very close, but I came to realize eventually that she had been the same to each of the 14 kids she had and just as much so to her grand kids and some great grand kids. She has been gone over 20 years but even now we all speak of moms cooking and certain recipes and style she had. Well, tomorrow is mothers day. So, happy mother's day to you and all moms!
My mom made this recipe for us on Christmas morning a few years back. She saw this on your program and couldn’t wait to fix it for us. All I have to say is delicious, delicious, delicious and butter lovers everywhere rejoice!

I have been making this casserole for Christmas, every year since I got this recipe from Paula, years ago. She has lightened it up since then. The old one calls for 1 cup milk and 2 cups cream. Delicious! Family favorite!
I started making this in 2020 and I have to say, best recipe that I have ever made from a RUclips video!! This is now a Christmas morning staple in our house. God bless. 💕
Thank you so much for your Quarantine cookin ‘. We continue to be blessed by you and in the past have been fortunate enough to eat at Lady and Sons and at your restaurant in Tennessee. Until we eat there Again thank you !
Hi Paula! Love and best dishes to you!! I have been #quarantinecooking a lot and of course, your cookbooks are my go to! I love watching your videos and my family LOVES your recipes. I even have my 13 year old son, Jack, cooking now!! I live in Pensacola, FL and my fiancee (Paul Ross) and I went to the grand opening of your restaurant at OWA in Foley, AL back in December. The food was amazing and while I was still inside shopping/attending your book signing after we ate, Paul was outside talking with Michael, LOL!! When I walked out the two of them acted like they had known each other for years, talking about fishing etc and planning a fishing trip together this summer! Of course, that was before the CV had us all on lockdown, but I know they stay in touch and will get together as soon as they can! We both enjoy seeing y'all on your videos and just love you both to pieces!! Take care and would love to hear from you sometime! Hugs to you and Michael, from Jennifer and Paul! xoxoxoxo

Love ya, Paula! That looks delicious. Makes me think of cinnamon rolls. Thinking could make it using frozen cinnamon rolls instead of French bread! I have a recipe from a friend that takes frozen cinnamon rolls, pours stuff over them, leaves out overnight and bakes next day. Really delicious! Diet starts tomorrow! I'm giving most of these away! Awesome, easy recipe for great cinnaming rolls These are so light, soft and scrumptious! Souped Up Cinnamon Rolls 1 pkg frozen cinnamon rolls 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 stick butter (1/2 cup) 1 cup vanilla ice cream Night before: Spray 9x13 inch pan Place frozen cinnamon rolls evenly in it Measure sugars into bowl or saucepan, add butter and ice cream Bring to light boil...stirring to mix Let cool! When cool, pour over cinnamon rolls. Set pan into cold oven or microwave overnight. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 325°F Bake at 325° for 27 to 30 minutes. Mine got a little dark on corners at 30 minutes. Added nice crunch! Before and after pics.
Id like to wish you an early Happy Mother's Day! I'm so glad you have started posting these videos during this time. I hope you are able to continue once businesses start opening back up. 😘💕
I absolutely love watching you. I ordered your bundle cookbooks and cant wait to make delicious recipes.. You are so fun to watch ! You are definitely light, love and laughter. Have a blessed day!!!
My mother would put two small bags of mixed frozen berries on the bottom of the greased casserole. She didn’t put the soap French toast on top and put that in the refrigerator overnight. The next morning she would bake the whole thing and serve everybody two slices of toast (overlapping at 90° with that warm berry compote on top of them followed by a tiny dollop of sour cream. To this day, it is one of my most favorite brunch recipes when I have overnight guests, because then I get to spend more time with them in the morning. Ms. Paula, I am adding yours to my recipe box!!!
This is the problem and I guess in a way good to be in quarantine. I didn’t know how to bake now I can proudly make one of the most delicious banana bread and cookies. Growing up we ate buttered toast and dipped it into dark karo syrup. That was one of our favorite breakfasts. I make an overnight crockpot French toast casserole that is delicious. You turn it on low before going to bed. 6 hours later it is done. You can add all kinds of variations to make it whatever fruit flavor that you like. OVERNIGHT CROCKPOT FRENCH TOAST Butter your crock. Add a loaf of cubed French bread. Now decide which fruit to add. They all are delicious. 3 peeled and diced apples, 1 tsp cinnamon 3 peeled and sliced fresh peaches or 1 bag 10 oz of frozen peaches 3 peeled and diced pears and 1/2 cup dried cranberries 1 bag 10 oz frozen blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, mixed berries or pitted cherries. Top your bread with whatever kind of fruit you want. In a bowl mix your custard. Add 8 eggs, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 2 tsp vanilla, 3 cups of heavy whipping cream, half and half or milk or any combination of the 3. I prefer to use 2 cups whole milk and 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Pour over the fruit and bread. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 2.5 to 3 if you are making it for brunch. I make mine usually while cleaning up after supper and refrigerate. It's then ready to turn on right before bed or before we leave for church on Sunday. When I make it for brunch I turn it on as we head out the door for church and cook it on high for 2.5 to 3 hours. I have a savory crockpot egg bake with tater tots, your favorite breakfast meat, cheese and eggs. I make that one in my 2nd crockpot. After church family and friends often join us for brunch. I just serve both casseroles with coffee, juices and/or mimosas for a complete brunch.
Thats actually a book i was assigned to read in college. Short book, a lil bit witty. But the general idea i got outta it was humans like routine and we get accustomed to it.. hence the term "who moved my cheese?" I wonder if paula knows of the book..
You are just the best!! Love these videos!Even though I am sugar free and can’t have it, I felt like I could taste it with you. You’re such a light Mrs. Paula.
To soften butter from the refrigerator place an unwrapped stick in the microwave for 8 seconds, then flip it over so the bottom is now on top and microwave for 6 seconds. It turns out perfect! Thank you so much Paula for giving me some cooking inspiration and lots of laughs!
Paula, after watching your video, I discovered you and I have something in common. When I was a child, the ONLY thing I wanted on my pancakes was Light Karo syrup. I loved it! No maple syrup for me. Can’t wait to try this French Toast Casserole recipe. Looks delicious! Thanks for sharing.
I make something similar, but I cut the bread into 1-inch cubes with 12 eggs and 2 cups heavy cream, vanilla, nutmeg, sugar, and A LOT more cinnamon. Soak overnight pushing in the bread into the egg mixture before bed. Sprinkle more cinnamon on top before baking. Everyone demands that recipe every time they eat it, and it’s so easy.
15 years ago I am near certain I made this same exact Paula Deen recipe for French Toast Casserole for fathers day. I am teaching my 15 and 20 year old children to make it this weekend.

⭐💚Miss Paula⭐💕 you are simply the best! ☺🤗 After I gathered myself together this morning from a night w/o sleep (8th in a row.) I found myself to be VERY GRUMPY. This recipe is very much like my own. Sometimes I make it with a loaf or two of Challah or store bought Texas toast. (i understand that you dont need my tips.) If I don't have time to make Challah but want that consistency I will hit Publix/Ralph's grocery store and they have some GREAT Challah... I also grate some lemon zest into my egg mixture to brighten things up a bit. Chef Mike heats up my syrup for 15 to 30 seconds depending on how many servings I give him... And my REAL FULL-FAT BUTTER has been sitting out and waiting to hop onto and in-between a few slices of bread only to be draped in that warmed syrup. MM MMM YUM! I'm dying to try your rum-butter sauce recipe for tomorrow, though. I can't wait for and only hope to have the chance to make this for my mum. Please have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY,,, as you are such a grand nurturer and so EXTREMELY DESERVING. Remember you are so very loved, ~Bethany McKittrick

I'm not Paula but I'm from eastern ky and was raised on salmon patties. One can salmon, I remove bones some do not, 1 egg, maybe 8 saltines crushed, 2 tbsp of flour, and if you like minced onion or green onion. Mix all ingredients. Don't overdo it. Small patties about 1/4cup, fried in half inch of oil. Fry till golden brown. My Nanny always served them with pinto beans, greens, cornbread and fried taters. Sliced tomatoes from the garden in summer. Sorry for intrusion, your comment reminded me of when my nanny gave me this very basic recipe for salmon patties.

We were very close, but I came to realize eventually that she had been the same to each of the 14 kids she had and just as much so to her grand kids and some great grand kids. She has been gone over 20 years but even now we all speak of moms cooking and certain recipes and style she had.
Well, tomorrow is mothers day. So, happy mother's day to you and all moms!
I remember my Daddy heating up the light Karo Syrup for pancakes when I was a kid. Thanks for a wonderful memory James and Paula:)
We did too. Once momma mixed maple flavor extract in Karo syrup, yummy. I'm 66, wish she wrote her recipes down♥️♥️
My mom made this recipe for us on Christmas morning a few years back. She saw this on your program and couldn’t wait to fix it for us. All I have to say is delicious, delicious, delicious and butter lovers everywhere rejoice!
Paula, I have been making this for ten years every Christmas morning. It’s the best. Thank you!
Her laughter, often at herself, is so naturally infectious!! What a fun kitchen to hang out in!!
Just needs some maple syrup and a some thick cut bacon.
I added maple syrup to my variation on her recipe.
Greetings from Canada. Paula, I appreciate your recipes, but also how genuine and down t earth ou are. Here you give credit to the lady who shared the recipe with you. Some famous chefs would not do that.
If somebody doesn’t have bread they sure ain’t gonna have no brioche hahaha. This is an amazing recipe that I’ll add to my collection thanks to Paula Deen. Paula will always be a part of my home!
Every Sunday night is “breakfast for dinner”. We all look forward to it! My husband is a big fan of bread pudding. I bet he’d go nuts over this! LOVE breakfast for dinner!
Thank you so much Paula....I grew up with you and I still love you ....thanks so much
@KING KARMA Go away flea!
@KING KARMA Good find where your kids are, asshole. They're probably doing something wrong. It's pathetic that I know your kids better than you do.
While she couldn’t find the bread, I said out loud, “I love this lady so much!”
She's so unashamed of looking silly and I love it as well
I love her! I could just see myself sitting in the kitchen with her laughing
Jajaja yup
I hate that she wipes her nose and licks her fingers while cooking !!!! Yuck but I still love her!!!
I have been making this casserole for Christmas, every year since I got this recipe from Paula, years ago. She has lightened it up since then. The old one calls for 1 cup milk and 2 cups cream. Delicious! Family favorite!
The old one sounds even better!
Love hearing you talk, reminds me of my Aunt in Florida.Looks so good and so good to watch your videos daily.Stay safe 😃❤🎶🌹
I started making this in 2020 and I have to say, best recipe that I have ever made from a RUclips video!! This is now a Christmas morning staple in our house. God bless. 💕
Love how you say “y’all”
Wow I love her. She’s reminds me of my grandma. Down to earth and with tons of wisdom
Thank you so much for your Quarantine cookin ‘. We continue to be blessed by you and in the past have been fortunate enough to eat at Lady and Sons and at your restaurant in Tennessee. Until we eat there Again thank you !
This recipe is a staple in our home every time we all come together for family gatherings. My grandsons love it! Thanks Paula!!
Can you imagine being in a diet in her house. That would be a fail
Epic failure at that!! Lol...Good one
The way she tempted Michael with the bread until he had a piece lol
It'd be so worth it though lmao.
But Paula looks very slim !
Fail daily:)
Hugs to you and Michael, from Jennifer and Paul! xoxoxoxo
Oh my gosh, this looks soooooo good !! I've never seen it made like this before. I think it's gonna be our new favorite. Thank you Paula. Much love to you.

Miss Paula, will you please keep doing these once quarantine is lifted? I've come to look forward to these lovely videos each weekday morning! :)
I think she’s going to be appearing on Fox News - “Fox Nation”. I saw a little add for it. Stay tuned!
@@mskulagal That would be amazing! Thanks for the heads up :)
Watching your videos just calms me when it’s hard to find any calm during these times. Keep the videos coming, my kids are loving the new dishes I have been cooking. Happy Mother’s Day!

Kissezez all lives matter mrs mama
@KING KARMA LOL....listen dipshit, you're angry because she supposedly used a racial slur 50 years ago, but in a previous post you call me a Neanderthal, a slur used by racist, bigoted blacks to describe whites. You're such a hypocrite and that makes all your finger wagging posts just virtue signaling.
Kissezez go to sleep tf

KING KARMA I’m not mad at all period tf get the fuck out
Love ya, Paula!
Souped Up Cinnamon Rolls
1 pkg frozen cinnamon rolls
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1 cup vanilla ice cream
Night before:
Spray 9x13 inch pan
Place frozen cinnamon rolls evenly in it
Measure sugars into bowl or saucepan, add butter and ice cream
Bring to light boil...stirring to mix
Let cool!
When cool, pour over cinnamon rolls.
Set pan into cold oven or microwave overnight.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 325°F
Bake at 325° for 27 to 30 minutes. Mine got a little dark on corners at 30 minutes. Added nice crunch!
Before and after pics.
Id like to wish you an early Happy Mother's Day! I'm so glad you have started posting these videos during this time. I hope you are able to continue once businesses start opening back up. 😘💕
Your channel is a blessing to my sad , lonely quarantined life right now ! God bless you Paula !
When she said Praline topping this was me: 😲😱 😍🙂
This is the problem and I guess in a way good to be in quarantine. I didn’t know how to bake now I can proudly make one of the most delicious banana bread and cookies. Mother’s Day I made the most delicious nachos and I have never even tried even to eat them b4. This weekend is long weekend in Canada and I am gonna make these French toast...just watching RUclips has made me love to cook and bake..,thank you y,all for teaching me how to make delicious dinners breakfasts and delicacies...Paula you look amazing ...love from Canada 💕
Ur lucky having Teresa around helping you.Wish I had a Teresa
Except I sense Teresa is a bit uptight - very little warmth or humor from her where as Eddie seems a bit warmer if she... rock on Paula you are amazing girl1
OVERNIGHT CROCKPOT FRENCH TOAST
Butter your crock. Add a loaf of cubed French bread. Now decide which fruit to add. They all are delicious.
3 peeled and diced apples, 1 tsp cinnamon
3 peeled and sliced fresh peaches or 1 bag 10 oz of frozen peaches
3 peeled and diced pears and 1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 bag 10 oz frozen blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, mixed berries or pitted cherries.
That looks like a perfect crowd pleaser!!
I’ve been making this for Christmas morning for years, but I only use one stick butter and it’s delicious.
Great recipe, will have to try. You look so pretty with your hair that way Paula!
I could listen to you all day long! Love from Ireland 🇮🇪🇮🇪
“WHO MOVED MY CHEESE???” -Paula Deen, 2020
Thats actually a book i was assigned to read in college. Short book, a lil bit witty. But the general idea i got outta it was humans like routine and we get accustomed to it.. hence the term "who moved my cheese?" I wonder if paula knows of the book..
@@tyleroreilly8195 I read that book also. Cute book.
@@tyleroreilly8195 She was totally referencing the book! I think she even mentions Haw ( one of the 2 little people) right after that!
xm11 Spencer Johnson 1998.... it was a very good book
You are just the best!! Love these videos!Even though I am sugar free and can’t have it, I felt like I could taste it with you. You’re such a light Mrs. Paula.
I'll be right over...That looks great!!!🤩
To soften butter from the refrigerator place an unwrapped stick in the microwave for 8 seconds, then flip it over so the bottom is now on top and microwave for 6 seconds.
Omygee baking that toast cassarole was crazy. The house smelled like christmas
15 years ago I am near certain I made this same exact Paula Deen recipe for French Toast Casserole for fathers day. I am teaching my 15 and 20 year old children to make it this weekend.
Even I have to draw the line somewhere!!! LOL! I have had a terrible day and you have just lifted my spirits. I look forward to your recipes and your laughter everyday! Thank you again! Can’t wait to try this recipe!
Scrumptious!!!!! Love seeing Paula Deen every day! With love from very snowy NY!
Happy Mother's Day to and I love this recipe I put nut and raisin in my custard and do in the topping and little oatmeal and love the crunch of it all with Huckleberry syrup warm 💜
She is so delightful...reminds me of my grandmother.....
You're always a ray of sunshine. Love the videos you've shared - thank you.
(i understand that you dont
need my tips.) If I don't have time to make Challah but want that consistency I will hit Publix/Ralph's grocery store and they have some GREAT Challah...
Remember you are so very loved,
~Bethany McKittrick
I don't know who's laugh I love more...Paula's or Dolly Parton's.
Elana A dolly she’s not a racist
@@gj471 define racist.
Garrett Jones Garrett go ask your grandma The songs she used to sing and the books she read when she was a little kid. She’s going to tell you all kinds of crazy things that will make you call her racist too. And 100 years from now, people will look at us and call us names too. Do you spend your days virtue signaling people on RUclips cooking videos?
Maggie Moran umm wrong. I know many old people who wouldn’t dare disrespect another human being over a skin color. Idk what they do in the south but I’m GLAD her show was canceled lol what a legacy 🤦🏽♂️😂
@@gj471, how old are you? Life teaches us as we get older, maybe you missed the whole class lol.
I have grown up watching you and STILL love watching you! You are just so fun to watch. So happy I found this channel!!
Oh!what a beautiful blouse I love that color and that recipe I'm going to have to make it today for tomorrow my own mother's day breakfast Paula " Happy mother's Day and who ever else is a mother there with you.🙋♀️💐💐🌻🐝
Just made this for the kiddos this morning. Oh they love it and it makes the house smell so good when it's baking. Thanks for sharing

She's so cute!! I love her laugh and I miss her on tv!!! Gotta try this!!
You sure have made brighter days and nights for me! Been inside since January
Paula- visit your rest in pigeon forge often- everything always superior ! Can you please share a recipe for salmon croquettes ? Also, what veggies or sides do you recommend with salmon croquettes when served for dinner?
I have been watching you everyday and catching up since I have been off work due to the pandemic! By the way, we LOVE aunt Peggy! Keep her with you on the shows when you can!
Rebecca Cable - thank you so much....and how ironic- my grandmother lived with me my entire life and we called her nanny- some things are just meant to be !
Rebecca Cable, my nanny, grandmother, lived in Somerset, Ky., and this was her recipe for Salmon Patties. Maybe it’s a Kentucky thing. I was born in Harrodsburg, Ky.
Tracey Shoun - wow Franklin KY

Wow!! Love you Paula!! Have a very happy Mother’s Day!! Gods blessings to be a mother and grandmother!! Love from the Jersey Shore
OMG... FRENCH TOAST IS MY WEAKNESS LOL. Paula you're killin me with all these goodies lol. 😛
I have served this as Christmas French toast for breakfast for over 20 years on holidays when the family is all together. Just have bacon or sausage and fruit salad for a Doozy of a meal!
This is similar to a bread pudding. I wonder how it would taste with some dried fruit like raisins
Same way I make my bread pudding too, except for the raisins.
I was thinking cranberries or blueberries
Wow! I love this recipe. Definitely will make it.
lol@ the dude in the backround outside smokin' away haaaaa
