Thanks for this review :)! I just ordered the A6700 today. I've been a fan boy of the sony A6000 series cameras for years. I had the A6600 until it was stolen during a recent trip this year. I'm looking to do documentaries as a hobby when I travel but believe that this camera will be plenty robust for high quality work, rivaling pro-level cameras.

Congratulations and also really sorry to hear about the theft of the 6600 during travel you probably should invest in some kind of of things to make your camera more stealth and to be able to hide it maybe inside is something else to protect it and maybe add some kind of AirTag or something for track can’t have a repeat of that with the 6700.

I have the 6400, and only just 2 weeks ago I purchased this 18-105 G lens. Haven’t really put the lens through it’s paces as yet, but so far the test shots I’ve got I have been satisfied with. I’m seriously wanting to upgrade the camera though to this 6700, but I think I will invest in the 24-70gm2 lens first and see what quality I am getting with the 6400 to see if I want to upgrade to a full frame camera.

Because you purchased these Sony lenses which aren’t cheap the 6700 might be the logical choice but you’re also at a crossroads and ZVE1 might be the way and you just keep the 6400 which is great for still because of the EVF, and of course the lenses can be used on both. It probably depends on how much video you do.

I went into my town with my ZV-E10 and was shooting video and photos. Most of it came out ok, however 2 weeks later the a6700 arrived and I did the same shooting again and wow the photos were 100% usable where the E10 was about 80%. The handheld video was also more stable and looked better. Sigma 18-50 f2.8

Wonderful - the video was over before I expected. Nice and light and calm and nice to see the comparison to the a6400, also loved seeing the gradual zoom with the 18-105mm + the clear image zoom - wow, can't do that with the iPhone which also lacks an evf. The slomo also turned the busy traffic into zen-like moments. You also make a case for the fx-30 - the body, full size hdmi, active cooling, etc. Lots of good info in a single short video.

I have the fantastic Tamron 17-70MM and it struggles a little at 60-70MM F2.8 with contrast, so im always stopping it down to 4.5 or 5.6. I also have the 6700, and your video has me interested in the Sony 18-105. I have been worried about the F4 in low light, but you got some really good video at night with it.

Does 17-70 gather lots of dust inside?
Just wondering how common that is

@@yevheniymiropolets8691 I had the 17-70 for a year and used it almost every week. I got 2-3 specs of dust in the inside back of the front element. I never saw it show up as a dark spot in any photo's.

Admittedly I'm a bit of a fast prime snob😂, but a constant f4 with that zoom range looks awesome! I totally forgot this lens even existed. Great video! I take it you haven't been running into any of the freezing issues some a6700 owners have been having? Apparently certain lenses (and even flashes) cause a problem where the camera becomes unresponsive, and a restart is required. My work camera is an FX30, and the a6700 makes a lot of sense for everything else. I have yet to order one!

The a6700 is $1,400 and the A7c II is $2,200. Save yourself some money and buy an a6700 and some good "Sony" full frame lenses appropriate for your photo/video genre and your set for the next 10 years.
